The '10 of Swords' and Unplugging the Negativity That Grabs at Us

Friday, September 9, 2016.  I slept right through the night only opening my eyes a few minutes after 5:00am so I spent the remaining hour practicing meditation and before I knew the alarm was once again serenading us.

Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction."
What is today's “10 of Swords" Tarot Energy saying to you today?  Any first impressions?

For me it's about unplugging myself from negative viewpoints as well as trying not to overreact.  Oftentimes, we focus more on the negative than the positive and I'm trying to reverse this trend in my own life.   And for the most part it's working but I still succumb to grabbing hold of negative energy especially at night...arrrgghhh...sleepless nights...hopefully they become less and less.  It's never nice to lie awake at night worrying about things that more often than not we cannot change.

Thank You Spirit.

The 'Ten of Swords' and Taking Control of My Life Back

Saturday, June 25, 2016.  Last night I had the idea that I'd head out this morning and sit on a park bench overlooking the Fraser River.  However, when I awoke and contemplated this idea I knew I should simply stay in and focus more on being with Spirit and Tarot this morning.

Last night I had dreams about my model railroad and a crazy track plan that simply would not work.  This dream stayed with me awhile.  Then I was dreaming about talking to spirit's maybe not me specifically but perhaps a woman that was talking to her husband that passed on.  She was embarrassed by this however I did my best to let her know that I, was it really me, also talked to spirits.  Then either my sister or partner appeared in the picture and then the dream disappeared into a mist when the woman was mentioning how engaged the two of us have been with each other.

I donned my ritual garb, lit a candle and incense and sat at my working altar.  I picked up the Pagan Tarot and shuffled the cards as my eyes closed and the flickering candle flame and smoking incense carried me into the ether...

...today's Tarot Energy is the "Ten of Swords: Determined to spend no more sleepless nights, our Witch takes on her problems head on.  The broken swords represent problems or situations that needed handling.  Some need to be broken down for easier handling, some needed to be thrown in the garbage.  She has learned that she has far more control over her life than she ever realized.  You, too, have control over your life and the way you think about and approach things.  Whether external circumstances control you and your happiness is up to you.  How much power are you willing to give other people or insignificant situations?  Magick is largely intent or will.  Make up your mind to be strong and in control of your life and your magick."
The "Ten of Swords" is really highlighting "How much power are you willing to give other people or insignificant situations?  Magick is largely intent or will.  Make up your mind to be strong and in control of your life and your magick."

I'm taking of life and magick back.  This belongs to me and me only.  No one else needs such control over me nor should they ever have it.  My life and my happiness must always be determined by me as happiness really does emanate from within us.  If I'm unhappy or even bored this has more to do with me than anything outside of myself.  Since I'm in control and have control over my life, I choose to be happy and realistically it's not even a choice, happiness just is when one is truly connected with Spirit.

Thank You Spirit.

Namaste.

The '10 of Swords' and Shifting From A Negative Focus to a Positive One

Wednesday, February 17, 2016.  Sleeping has become quite the pleasure as of late.  The nights are long and my dreams curiously happy, satisfying, and uplifting.

Spirit Is and today's Gay Tarot Energy is “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction."

It's always seems easier to focus on the sometimes self-created doom and gloom in our lives rather the richness that is our life.  Life is difficult and challenging at times, no doubt about it however, this is more a result of us relinquishing control of our lives to outside sources and influences.  We are more powerful and how more power in and over our lives than we gives ourselves credit for.  So, SNAP OUT OF IT and get on with living your life, your way!

After getting home from work, I sat in the dark for awhile forcing myself to relax and gather my thoughts without unnecessary visual distractions of what I think I must be doing rather than sitting on the sofa doing nothing.  This calmed me down enough that my thoughts immediately swung to fresh thoughts and ideas about today's Tarot Energy, what to with "spiritual" hat and an idea on how to add colour to my model railroad.  Oh, I made myself a cup of Cold 911 Tea as well...feeling much better.  Thank You!

I was able to steer my thoughts away from unnecessary anger and frustration to healthier thoughts ideas, and attitude and put a smile on my face as a result.  So yes, we can choose where to focus our attention and it's far healthier to focus it light, love, and peace.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

10 of Swords and the Ace of Wands

Thursday, April 2nd, 2015.  I missed a day of writing as I worked overtime and then had a telephone tutorial at 6:00pm, mere minutes after getting home.  On top of all of this we needed to make a mid-week grocery run.  Yikes!  Makes for an awfully quick evening as it was bedtime before I knew it and the up for another day of work.

Spirit Is and yesterday's visiting Tarot was “XVIII The Moon: Sexuality pulls us into a different, non-rational world which is sometimes frightening, always creative.  A sense of mystery.  Creative ideas which gestate in the subconscious.  Sexuality or sex” with the “Youth of Swords: Curiosity.  Research.  Computers, e-mail.  Immature communication.  Spying (or "hacking")” providing some context.

Today's visiting Tarot is the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction" and the “Ace of Wands: A creative inspiration. The beginning of a project or venture” providing context.

Let's all close our eyes and take a deep breath!  Take another breath, in, and out, inhale and exhale.  Breathe in the loving energy of Spirit and exhale the stale negative energy of doubt and fear.  Let Spirit, the cosmos fill us with peace, harmony, and love.  Be still and know, know who you are, where you need to go, and how to get there.  Let's open our eyes...

What lessons can we take from our ancestors, even our parents and grandparents?  How can we get more in touch with the invaluable knowledge that is dying away with those who crossover into the otherworld.  We need these lessons.  We need to reconnect and maintain contact and have a relationship with the "primitive" knowledge and skills that are moving beyond our grasp so we can better deal with the present and prepare ourselves for the future.  Skills and knowledge that can help take us to where we want to go.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The Ace of Coins or the 10 of Swords--You Pick!

Tuesday, March 31, 2015.  The last day of March and what a pleasant day it has been.  Work was relatively calm and stable and the day has been mostly sunny and come to think about quite warm too!

Last night as is the new norm was quiet and relaxing.  I did spend some researching cameras as a new camera is in the works for us and more on that to come...later.  I also flipped through N-Scale doing more research, this time for ideas and ways of moving forward with my model railroad layout.  Then before long I was crawling into bed.

Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “Ace of Coins: A gift of security.  Starting to build or construct something.  A fertile environment" with a warning coming from the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction."

Our lives are not as physical and immovable as we often think they are.  Our minds and bodies are not separate from one another as they are more interconnected and intertwined than we are able to imagine.  This is why it is paramount that we use our minds and bodies to create and manifest our dreams and desires here in the physical and material world.  We are a part of a universal consciousness and energy that we can easily harness if we accept and recognize that it is part of lives and is very much who we are.  Use it to turn your dreams into ideas and your ideas into reality or forever find yourself spinning your wheels getting nowhere fast as is eluded to by the “10 of Swords".  So instead harness the energy of the “Ace of Coins" and make your life the way you want to be...and so it is!

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

IV The Lovers and XIX The Sun

Saturday, February 14th.  Happy Valentine's Day.

After a busy day at work yesterday I came home, quickly showered and got ready for dinner out with a couple of my partners co-workers, a later birthday dinner for one of them.

Dinner was good as always, as we ate at "The Old Bavaria Haus Restaurant" here in New Westminster and the conversation was lively and fun as usual.

We arrived home just after 8:00pm and enjoyed a quiet evening at home.

Yesterday's visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction" with some further direction provided by the “2 of Wands: Confidence. Being the king of your castle. Preparing the ground for a new venture. The dawn of an adventure.”

Thank You Spirit.

Today's visiting Tarot Card is “VI The Lovers: A relationship is always a mingling of differences.  A powerful relationship.  Seeing both sides of an issue.  Flexibility” with further enrichment coming from “XIX The Sun: The best moments in life are rooted in the ordinary.  Contentment.  Optimism.  Ordinariness.  Satisfaction from a job well done.  Familiarity.”

Today, the best way to celebrate the day of love and romance is to find and connect with our emotions at their deepest level so that we bring true love and harmony into our lives and relationships.  Today does not have to be about expensive flowers and fancy dinners out as it should as it should be about the celebration of a deep connection with another human being.

Discover and celebrate all that is you and your partner, all the light and dark of each others' personalities and whole being.  Seek a complete understanding of one another through energy and passion and a well-balanced and equal relationship.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The 7 of Coins Being Challenged by the 10 of Swords

Tuesday, January 20th, 2015.  We had another quiet evening at home.  I sat and rested as this cold I've been battling came back stronger yesterday.  My weekend of recovery disappeared.  So last night when I arrived home from work I made myself a nice hot cup of tea and nursed it down as we watched the local evening news.  We had leftovers for dinner--steak and kidney pie.  We picked it up from Meridian Meats in White Rock.  It's a decent pie, not my favourite savory pie but I'd eat it again.

I awoke before the alarm but dozed off and on as I gave thanks for the blessings in my life and communed with Spirit.  Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “7 of Coins: Chores.  Resting after a job well done.  Contemplating life's cycles and changes.  Planning your next move.  Clearing out what's unnecessary in your life to make way for something new” with opposition coming from the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction."

I'm doing my best to reflect on my achievements as well as what is and what is not working for me at the moment.  It's tough work as it tasks me with being brutally honest with what I've achieved, where I am, what more I wish to achieve and where more I want to go in and with my life.  One thing I've done is try not to see things I do as "chores".  Instead, I'm trying to appreciate and understand them to be educational and spiritual experiences and reflections.  This has helped a lot.

I'm also now that I think about approaching all of my work tasks in a very positive light and do my best to go into every situation with a smile on my face and in my heart.  I must remember as I just did to approach people on a spiritual level more than a human level--Namaste.

Life is about growing, evolving and becoming better than we think we can be and the best way to do this is by giving ourselves a chance, patting ourselves on the back when do something right, and by living independent of others advice, thoughts, and opinions.  Let's be responsible and accountable to ourselves and the guiding light of Spirit and we shouldn't go wrong.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The 10 of Swords and V The Priest

Saturday, January 3rd, 2015.  Yesterday was an awfully long work day but one where my roles and responsibilities at work have expanded and grown tremendously.  I do not mind taken on these on however I'd like to have a better outline and understanding of what is expected of me.  Information given in a piecemeal fashion is difficult to comprehend and understand is at is so fluid and changes constantly.  I'll do my best to manage.

I've also come down with a cold.  I hate colds especially when they interfere so much with my breathing--congestion and a stuffed up nose make me pretty darned miserable but I'll get through and over this soon enough.

Having a cold brought about a very quiet evening and an early bedtime that I truly appreciated as I did awake a few times throughout the night.
Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction" with further clarification from “V The Priest: The best way to help others is to help them make their own decisions.  Wisdom.  Advice.  A ceremony or ritual.”

I choose the loving guidance and love of Spirit to take on my new roles and responsibilities as well as to steer me away from and clear of negative thoughts and thinking patterns.  I grasp hold of my hidden talents and bring them into the light of day so that I can fulfill my new roles and responsibilities with my spiritual gifts of an open mind, objectivity, strength, honour, and the courage to move ahead when more is expected of me.

Thank You Spirit.

Let's not let the apparent burdens in our lives get us or weigh us down.  Choose the loving light and guidance of Spirit to see you through.  Grasp hold of the strength and courage that resides within you to overcome and rise above what is holding you down, likely of your own doing.  Face the music as the saying goes and choose for yourself a new path that brings you out of the mud ad mire you've gotten yourself into and rise above it all as Spirit guides you onto your new path.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The 10 of Swords and Resolving Self-Doubt and Fear

Thursday, October 2nd, 2014.  Another early night as the bed beckoned and sleep fell over us.  I awoke a couple of times even likely not long before the alarm but fell back to sleep and awakened by the alarm.  Very nice.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction.”

Resolving self-doubts and fears is the key to releasing our truest and best abilities.  Applying our true and innate divine knowledge and recognizing our true feelings will turn us away from focusing on the negatives in our lives and instead discover ways to wake-up each everyday and move forward in more positive and loving ways.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The 10 of Swords and Finally Taking Control

Thursday, August 28th, 2014.  I slept well but it was more of conscious sleep he last couple of hours rather than the much loved deep sleep that let’s and be awake feeling refreshed and ready for the new day ahead.  I felt like sleeping in this morning but work was calling so out of bed I crawled.

Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Cards is the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction.”

I as we all need to realize and accept and participate in is control over our own lives.  Yes, sometimes we have uphill battles but we must strive to maintain as much control over who we are, how we behave and how we react to what goes on in our lives.  So as this reminder has popped quite frequently over the last while we all must heed this message and take control over our own lives and move forward with our own plans as best as we can.

My will and intent are mine to control and as long as I work with Spirit and do all things with spiritual and sacred awareness my actions will be in the best interests of all.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The 10 of Wands and the 10 of Swords

Monday, August 25th, 2014.  I had a pretty good sleep last night even with a bit of an active mind and crazy thoughts that wound their way through my mind and dreams as I slept and awoke and slept some more.

We had a busy day yesterday as we crossed the border into Washington and made a day trip to Whidbey Island, this time in sunny summer weather.  Langley and Coupeville were as picturesque as could be in the mid-summer sun.  Deception Pass is absolutely breathtaking and I definitely want to spend a night or two camping in the state park.  Sunset along the waterfront of Fairhaven could not have been any better—a worthwhile experience anytime one can make the time to catch it.

Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and Sunday’s visiting Tarot Card of the day is “10 of Wands: The Burden.  Responsibilities.  Obligations.  Overcommitting yourself.  Realizing that burdens are a part of life.”

My life is mine to control and control it I will.  Along with the Divine touch of grace I will live my life the best I can with the circumstances I find myself in.  It is what it is and I will simply make the best of it.

Monday or today’s visiting Tarot Card of the day is the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction.”
Again things are as they are and I need to make the best of it.  Some of the experiences I’m having these days can be directly attributed to past decisions, errors, and mistakes I’ve made.  I can transcend much of the wrongs I’ve done if you will but still need to deal with some of the residual stuff left behind.  Today I make my decisions knowing that they can directly impact my future so I must act wisely and with a high degree of Spirit thrown in there too!

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

3 of Wands, 10 of Swords, 10 of Cups, and the 2 of Coins

Sunday, June 15, 2014.  What a busy weekend we had visiting and relaxing on Whidbey Island.  Early last week we suddenly decided to take off for the weekend tossing around several different ideas before settling on a quick trip to Whidbey Island.  My brother made a quick trip there a few years back and recommended that we visit.  Unfortunately, the weather did not co-operate too much with us and most of the weekend was on the soggy side but we did eke out a trip to Joseph Whidbey State Park enjoying the waves crashing against the rocky seashore before taking a walk around a couple of trails that ran through the park.  Before which we made quick trips to Clinton, Langley, Coupeville, and the Greenbank Farm.  Oh, and we stayed in Oak Harbor.

Thank You Spirit.

Friday’s visiting Tarot Card is the “3 of Wands: Leaving the nest.  Seeing progress.  Something or someone you have nurtured must now strike out on their own.”

I have to allow the future I desire to unfold before me.

Saturday’s visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction.”

This is a reminder for me to break free of and leave my past behind me in every sense of the word.  I need to liberate myself and allow myself to be who I truly am.

And finally, today’s visiting Tarot Cards are “10 of Cups: The Ideal.  Your secret dreams.  Attainment. Unrealistic, wishful thinking.” and the “2 of Coins: Tai Chi.  Flexibility.  “Going with the flow”.  Living in tune with your environment.”

I’m finding peace and harmony within myself by accepting , acknowledging and using my skills, talents, and abilities to help others through coaching, Tarot consultations, and Chakra cleansing, balancing, and alignment.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The 10 of Swords, XVIII The Moon, and the 5 of Wands

Saturday, April 26th, 2014.  One of my favourite days of the week, a time to relax and enjoy more of what life has to offer in addition to the joys or lack thereof, working the five other days of the week.  My work life is busy but a decent job and for a decent company, a small owner operated business that relies on the people that work there.  I enjoy my work for the most pert and now that got about five weeks under my belt I’m more comfortable with and less stressed about my job.

Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction.”

I am enlightened and seeing through self created illusions.  My life is decent, purposeful and now more actively lived by yours truly, me.  I have much to be thankful for and know full well that while I do have goals in mind and want to take a certain direction in life that I am now more flexible than before to allow for detours and/or a complete change of direction.

“XVIII The Moon: Sexuality pulls us into a different, non-rational world which is sometimes frightening, always creative.  A sense of mystery.  Creative ideas which gestate in the subconscious.  Sexuality or sex.”

A realization came to me that perhaps I’ve been more engaged in my imagination than my intuition for years now and that I’ve been more or less deluding myself in how my life was and how it was proceeding.  Spirit has always been involved in my life but I’ve only tapped into Spirit more accidentally rather than purposefully and engaged enough for it to make a difference.  I’ve also put too much emphasis on my emotions and feelings as to fully appreciate the fact that the decisions I was making were based more on assumptions and speculation on my part than fact.

So be on guard as to whether or not it is your intuition that is carrying your forward or merely your possibly “wild” imagination that could be leading you astray.  Don’t be afraid to confront such an illusion as it will only be of benefit to you and your ability to move forward on a more solid foundation with realistic plans as to how to change your life for the better as well as reaching your goals.

“5 of Wands: The Hockey Game.  The project meets resistance.  Testing one’s ideas against others.  An enjoyable struggle.  Competition in the marketplace.”

Be wary of picking fights that are not worth fighting and unnecessary to begin with.  At times we may be simply fighting with ourselves.  Well, if this is the case, it’s time to STOP!  Let’s all settle down and tap into our true priorities and stop fooling ourselves.  Be realistic but don’t beat yourself up if you are not where you want to be at this point in your life.  Draw up realistic plans with short-term achievable goals that will lead you to your ultimate goal and then work on it will all of your energy while being flexible enough to realize that a better opportunity may also open up to you.  Co-operate with yourself so that you can co-operate with others as this sense of harmony is where Spirit is strongest and that we are more able to see our plans through in a realistic light rather than the illusion of our imaginations.

Don’t try so hard to get ahead or get what you want and see what happens.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

10 of Swords, XX Beyond Judgement, 2 of Cups, and Youth of Coins

Friday, April 11th, 2014.  I had a decent night’s sleep and although the work day started somewhat intensely it calmed down into a nice smooth rhythm and ended calmly where come Monday I’ll be looking forwarded to getting back to work.  Can’t believe I said that!

I’m not sure what happened but the appearance of the “10 of Swords” made something click inside of me where I decided that I’m better at doing the job I’ve been hired to do and that I cannot wallow in the mistakes I’ve made but instead strive to better by being focused with intent at the job at hand taking things one step at a time and not trying to multitask so much.  As a result I had a much better day and was glad to hear that nothing was amiss for any of the driver’s as they made their daily deliveries.

After work I had to do a quick shopping trip to finalize our dinner for and with friends for the evening.  The shopping list was on my phone that went dark and shut off do to a lack of battery charge so I had t make two trips into the store so I could pick up the items I missed the first time through.  No big deal.

Dinner and conversation were great and the sleep that followed was very much welcomed and I even slept in…

…Saturday, April 12th, 2014…so as I mentioned I slept in this morning.  Awaking after 7am, what treat!  It’s now approaching 9:30 and breakfast is long past, some clothes have been folded and another load is in the dryer or hanging out to dry.  And I’m writing this…

…thank you Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “XX Beyond Judgement: Self-acceptance must come before liberation.  Freedom from others’ expectations. Trying to make conditions better for others.  Altruism.  Pride. Self-acceptance.”

To accept and get to know others we must accept and know ourselves first.  Who are we and what makes us tick?  Step back and look at yourself as honestly and objectively as you can without guilt or blame and get a sense of who you are.  See the facts of your life straight up and without fear, anxiety, or worry.  Remove the emotion from what you see and then strive to make changes if what you find of yourself is not quite to your liking.  But strive to change with laying blame or feeling guilty about what your find and now accept of yourself.  I’m doing the same—difficult but doable with the strength of Spirit on your side.

Things to attend to today are represented by the “2 of Cups: The Dialogue.  A balanced relationship.  Being able to see things from the other’s perspective.”

This ties into “XX Beyond Judgement” in the sense of getting to know and accept yourself so you and I can be better partners and spouse in our respective relationships.  Again it is best to take a step back and look at things through non-emotional eyes and have an honest look at what our relationship is, what it represents to us, what we expect out of it and what we are contributing to it.  Honesty, objectivity, and acceptance of what we find will allow us to have a better relationship with our spouses as well as ourselves where conversations are real, honest, non-judgmental, and candid.  Is it time to invest more time into the relationship or do we need to walk away from it.  Love can work both ways in this regard.

And the feelings, desires, and reactions that could arise today are represented by the “Youth of Coins: Focusing on the physical.  Beginning a regimen.  Matters relating to nutrition and exercise.”

I must not be so self-absorbed in myself or my desires that I lose sight of the relationship I’m in and what my responsibilities are.  I must guard against being so intently focused on my things and the way I want things to progress that ‘m blind to new and better opportunities to do things differently or that might take me in a new and brighter direction than the one I have in my sights now.

Also, I must also continue to take care of the mind, body, and spirit, through good nutrition, exercise, and time with Spirit.  Key factors in living a purposeful and purpose driven life.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The 10 of Swords and Change

I had an enjoyable day yesterday cleaning and organizing my RV as best I can considering the amount of stuff I have inside her.  A couple of more projects have been added to my list of things to do however I am not dissuaded by them.  The other day I called a junk removal company to inquire about getting them to come and haul away the debris I’ve created since remodeling the RV and they were too busy to talk then but kind of chuckled and never called me back within the ten minutes he claimed he would—very poor customer service.  I’ll call another outfit today and see if I have better luck with them.  I guess mentioning an RV and junk is kind of funny in a way…Thank You Spirit.

We went to a friend’s for dinner last night and had a thoroughly good time.  The conversations were uplifting and funny, the food fantastic, and the company the best ever.  We left with our tummies aching and ready to burst from so much laughing and too much food as well joyful hearts from being part of a great evening and a great group of friends.  Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction."

I need to go through a real process of change instead of a simple surface change where I think of changing but don’t push or process change deep within the core of my being.  When I’m here at the condo just relaxing or going about the day or when I’m lying in bed I start to fret about the RV and all that stuff that still needs to be fixed.  However, when I’m at the RV, it just feels right to be piddling along and tackling one project at a time.  In the RV I know without a doubt she is my home away from home, my home sweet home and fixing her is the right thing to do.

Spiritually speaking I need to undergo a deeper change within myself so that I can be a fully Spiritual person capable of handling or dealing with everything that comes into my life.  In fact I need to create and develop a Spiritual enterprise that I can take on the road with me so I can put to use the education I acquired through two years of long distance learning through a university located in Sedona, Arizona.  This is what I think is driving me to get my RV out on the road.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The 10 of Swords and the Youth of Swords

Happy Canada Day!  Canada celebrates 146 years as a country.  Today being Canada Day as well as the hottest day of the week is also beach day.

Yesterday was a day spent with family.  We met up with family for the afternoon first in a mall and then the great outdoors; well sort of it was the Lonsdale Quay, a ride on the Seabus then the great outdoors as in Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver.  We made it home around 8pm and quickly made up our minds for dinner and ended up at Ki Sushi.

Thank You Spirit.

Today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction."  And today’s Foundation Card for the card of the day is the “Youth of Swords: Curiosity.  Research.  Computers, e-mail.  Immature communication.  Spying (or "hacking")."

y situation is not so bad, not as bad as I make it out to be.  Yes, I’m currently in-between jobs and I have some personal debt to deal with but in the grand scheme of things I’m sitting in a pretty rosy situation.  I’m doing okay and look forward to continuing to be responsible for my debt and other personal finances.  My future at times appears to unfold before my eyes in the form of little mental pictures that suddenly appear on my mental movie screen.  Yesterday and again this morning aspects of my life in the RV played out before me.  Driving down the highway, using my tankless hot water heater for the first time, and looking at my two rooftop flexible solar panels.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The 10 of Swords and the 7 of Wands

Half way through the year.  My goodness time does seem to fly by when you’re having fun.  I can remember sitting in a pub back in February when I got a call for an interview with Elections BC.  Then I was sitting at an orientation session on the 4th of March before starting in my position as Enumerator on the 6th.  Two and half weeks of walking through the Queensborough neighbourhood soon gave way to a three week break that was gone in a flash and then I was sitting in an office assisting people in the registration and voting process for an election that happened more than a month ago.

Yesterday was a quiet home day of study, contemplation, and learning.  My heart, mind, body, and soul opened to the universe and allowed Spirit to flow into and within me.  I experienced learning not simply with my mind but my whole being, every atom of my body; every one of my over 50 trillion cells took part in the learning process.  Whether it was something I read in a blog, heard, on television or read from a book, simply experienced, that knowledge penetrated through all that I am.

Thank You Spirit.

Today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction."  And today’s Foundation Card for this card is the “7 of Wands: Fighting the wind.  A Quixotic struggle.  Winning against the odds.  Confrontation.”

Do I believe in my goals and desires?  Do I have the integrity and strength of character to go after them?  Do I believe in myself?  Do I have enough faith and courage to stand up for what I believe in?  Do I have what it takes to become the person I want to be, the type of person I cherish and hold most dear?

Over the past eight to ten years I’ve only allowed my Spiritual side to tread water, if you will.  Barely visible, just hiding under the surface.  I live with a scientist and scientists do not give much credit to the “world” I live in, if I can put it that way.  So I do as much as I can without making too much of what I believe in or what drives me, visible.  I’ve reached a point where I can no longer do that.  My Spiritual nature is itching to come out into the world and be visible for all to see.  I need to express myself.  I need to be me!

I guess this is what is driving me to get my RV back into shape and ready for the road.  I simply want a place where I can be myself.  My RV is my sanctuary, my little oasis where my Spirituality can be on full display without “rocking the boat”.  I’ve likely said all of this before and this simply a reminder to myself to keep my eye on the ball so-to-speak, not to give up, to go for it, to at least give it a try-that life I most desire!

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

10 of Swords Card of Day, Man of Cups Foundation Card

Yesterday turned into a stay at home day but I just simply went with the flow.  I still worked toward achieving my dreams and goals though through the study of Tarot and being very spiritually minded throughout the day.  I enjoyed my day even though I desired to be in RV as the day turned out exactly as it should have.

I flipped through a book I picked a long time ago, Complete Book of Tarot Spreads by Evelin Burger and Johannes Fiebig, published in 1997 by Sterling Publishing Company.  As I flipped through it and glanced at and read a page here and there I learned or was reminded about the guiding theme of Tarot—“…the transformation or resolution of your personal desires and fears.  As long as you make progress, your method of doing Tarot is useful.”  This is a book I need to keep around during my study of Tarot

So I kept flipping pages and came across a variation to the Card of the Day and that is to pull the Card of the Day then a card that is the background or foundation for the first card.  Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the”10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction."

I choose positivity over negativity and my viewpoint will be to the best of my abilities a positive one each and every day.  Yeah, I’ve made a few mistakes in life and now I’ve learned from them and have now decided to use them to launch myself into a new direction and a renewed or maybe even a new way of thinking.  I see where I want my life to be so I’ll simply work toward that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and let the details work themselves out along the way.

The Foundation Card for today’s visiting Tarot Card is the "Man of Cups: An emotional adventurer.  Tendency to want to emotionally rescue others.  Drawn to emotional crises.”

When I read a little bit more about the Man of Cups and reflect on my own life I see that I tend to be prone to flights of fancy and illusion so I need to check myself for this in all that I do so I keep my feet on the ground, keep myself grounded while dreaming about the future I desire.  I know I can have the future I desire however I need to put a better plan in shape as to how I’ll not only make it happen but how I’ll sustain it as well.  I need solid plans in place as to how I’ll earn my keep on the road so I need to create a roadmap for myself as to how I might possibly eke out a living and do so while cruising down to two lanes and backroads of North America.

So another project on my list is to build myself a “jobs plan”.

Thank You Spirit.

10 of Swords and X The Wheel of Life

Sleep was not quickly forthcoming last night either for me or my partner.  We both got out of bed for awhile before getting back into bed and still finding sleep hard to find.  I had a dream about a physiotherapy and massage therapy session I went to that seemed more like torture and then awoke with a terribly sore back, could hardly move when I first got up.

Yesterday was a decent enough day as we went out to see “Anna Karenina”, what a beautiful movie.  After the movie we had a late lunch a noodle place before heading over to the quay for our afternoon coffee, then it was onward home, where we spent the rest of the afternoon and evening relaxing.

Oh yeah almost forgot I read an article about drumming, chants, and trances and hope to have a drum come into my life and as a part of this I also hope to find an artist or someone who can design Pagan and/or Wiccan inspired rubber stamps that I can put to good use in making handcrafted cards that suit my Spiritual Path and Beliefs.

So Mote it Be.

Today’s visiting cards fell away from the deck as I was in the process of cutting the deck three times.  They are the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction." and “X The Wheel of Life: If life on the rim makes you dizzy, move to the center.  Awareness of the circles of life.  Equanimity.  A change in fortunes.  Guidance from your future or past self."

This is an interesting pair of cards to have come visit for the day.  When I delve further into these cards I get the sense that I need to follow my intuition/instinct and gut feelings if you as I already know what I need to do to really create the life I want and simply or maybe not so simply act on it.  I have a strong sense of what I need to do and where I need to go in life however I also have a bit of fear creeping in about the unknown that this, that these decisions will bring into or upon my life.  Give me strength and courage Gracious Goddess and God to act on this knowledge and intuition I have and to face the unknown future that lies ahead.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

10 of Swords?

I did not sleep all that well last night.  I’m sure I was having thoughts that kept me awake however I am at a loss as to what they may be as I do not remember them.  Perhaps, they were subconscious thoughts that will eventually percolate to the surface and make themselves known to me but for now I simply know that I awoke many times and failed to get a real good night’s rest.

However, Spirit is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script.  You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one.  The end of a bad situation.  Hysterical overreaction."  For now I am at a loss as to why the ’10 of Swords’ is visiting today but he is here and is here for a reason so I’ll not let it bother me so much as meditate and allow the energy of card fill me with the reason or reasons behind its message.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.
