"XI Strength" and Bringing Your Passions to Life

I cannot remember a single dream I had that I enjoyed however I remember the dream related to the job, a dream I tried to dismiss as quickly as I could once I understood that I was dreaming such a dream.  I know I had other dreams as I remember awaking with some really good energy swirling about me.

Had a quick fifteen minute telephone interview for a career opportunity that is literally a minute or two walk from where I live.  And I find this employment opportunity to be a very desirable position that I want to land.  I'd love to take part in the growth and expansion of such a company as that one.  Although, at the same time my ultimate career, my biggest passion is to earn my keep through Tarot and other spiritual endeavours.

And on that note as I was just now reflecting on today's Gay Tarot Energy, "XI Strength", I started saying aloud a few phrases that are a part of a circle casting ritual...Spirit of the North...Spirit of the East...etc.

So today's Gay Tarot Energy is "XI Strength: Directing your passions, rather than suppressing them, is the key.  Finding healthy outlets for powerful energies.”
And "Finding healthy outlets for powerful energies" is the key phrase today.  And what better outlet for such powerful energies than Wicca, Tarot, Spirit?  I get it.  I understand.  It's time for some magick in my life. Let's get this "show" on the road!

Thank You Spirit.

The "Ten of Swords", Embrace, Your Power, Embrace Your Magick, Make Your Life Happen Your Way

Had a very lazy evening last night.  Didn't even get to the gym.  Thought I could but I bruised or pulled a back muscle or two on Thursday at the job and it's a bit tender.  Maybe I'll try going for a workout tomorrow morning.

I fell asleep with certain thoughts and images on my mind and awoke with those same thoughts and images.  I thought I was simply awaking a few minutes after going to be but it's morning so I decided to crawl out of bed.

Spirit Is and today's Pagan Tarot Energy is the "Ten of Swords: Determined to spend no more sleepless nights, our Witch takes on her problems head on.  The broken swords represent problems or situations that needed handling.  Some need to be broken down for easier handling, some needed to be thrown in the garbage.  She has learned that she has far more control over her life than she ever realized.  You, too, have control over your life and the way you think about and approach things.  Whether external circumstances control you and your happiness is up to you.  How much power are you willing to give other people or insignificant situations?  Magick is largely intent or will.  Make up your mind to be strong and in control of your life and your magick."
Don't despair for the Pagan "Ten of Swords" is here helping us to empower ourselves to take control of our lives and circumstances.  We have all the power we need to overcome our problems that once broken down into little pieces are nothing that we can't handle.  Control over our lives is our own.  I have the intent and will to be me, to be empowered, to overcome, and to accomplish and so do you!

Embrace your power, embrace your magick and make your life happen your way!

Thank You Spirit.

The '7 of Swords' and a Little Piece of Paradise

Saturday, July 23, 2016.  Awoke quite early this morning and find myself sitting here on the park bench and it's a bright and early 6:30am.  Soaking up the sun's rays as crows gave me a warm welcome.  The moon is still hanging in the sky.

The Sun, the Moon, a beautiful morning accentuated by shining black crows providing the perfect setting to work with the Pagan Tarot.

Today's Tarot Energy is the "7 of Swords: Here we see a pleasant surprise.  Our Witch makes her to a clearing to perform a ritual.  She is expecting to make do with very little.  However, when she arrives, she finds that someone has set up a tent, started a fire, and left her all the tools she'll need.  She had no logical reason to expect this lovely surprise.  This card is a reminder that sometimes good things just happen.  Logic, reason, past experience - they may indicate a certain outcome.  And then, boom!, magick happens and you're unexpectedly blessed."
Then a young couple show up, the young man proud that he is bringing his girlfriend early in the morning so they can enjoy some fishing together.  He proceeds to tell me that she's not all that happy or keen to be up and out this early.  She confirms this as they converse amongst themselves by telling him that she could still be and would prefer to be in bed sleeping.  He offers a olive branch, a vodka cooler...I whisper to myself, "he's offering you a compromise", a little something that might make you a bit happier and besides he's also trying to get to appreciate the beautiful morning that they have together.

I decide to take my leave  and allow them to enjoy this little piece of paradise (Pier Park, New Westminster) for a spell.  Happy Fishing!

The "7 of Swords" is reminding us that once in awhile "magick happens and" we're "unexpectedly blessed"  in spite of what our "Logic, reason, past experience" may lead us to believe otherwise.  It's very true that "sometimes good things just happen" and I'm glad to have this reminder as I've had such experiences before.  However, with the ups and downs of life we more often than not tend to dwell on and focus our attention on the bad that happens rather than all of the good that is also a part of life.

An example, I can go down to a park (a little piece of paradise) on a beautiful morning and be one with all of Nature and all of Spirit and all that is you and I.  Tarot cards in hand, freely being myself, Spirit smiling and shining upon me.  I have no fears, nor worries...I simply am!

Thank You Spirit.

Namaste.

The 'Ten of Swords' and Taking Control of My Life Back

Saturday, June 25, 2016.  Last night I had the idea that I'd head out this morning and sit on a park bench overlooking the Fraser River.  However, when I awoke and contemplated this idea I knew I should simply stay in and focus more on being with Spirit and Tarot this morning.

Last night I had dreams about my model railroad and a crazy track plan that simply would not work.  This dream stayed with me awhile.  Then I was dreaming about talking to spirit's maybe not me specifically but perhaps a woman that was talking to her husband that passed on.  She was embarrassed by this however I did my best to let her know that I, was it really me, also talked to spirits.  Then either my sister or partner appeared in the picture and then the dream disappeared into a mist when the woman was mentioning how engaged the two of us have been with each other.

I donned my ritual garb, lit a candle and incense and sat at my working altar.  I picked up the Pagan Tarot and shuffled the cards as my eyes closed and the flickering candle flame and smoking incense carried me into the ether...

...today's Tarot Energy is the "Ten of Swords: Determined to spend no more sleepless nights, our Witch takes on her problems head on.
The "Ten of Swords" is really highlighting "How much power are you willing to give other people or insignificant situations?  Magick is largely intent or will.  Make up your mind to be strong and in control of your life and your magick."

I'm taking of life and magick back.  This belongs to me and me only.  No one else needs such control over me nor should they ever have it.  My life and my happiness must always be determined by me as happiness really does emanate from within us.  If I'm unhappy or even bored this has more to do with me than anything outside of myself.  Since I'm in control and have control over my life, I choose to be happy and realistically it's not even a choice, happiness just is when one is truly connected with Spirit.

Thank You Spirit.

Namaste.

Midsummer, Summer Solstice, and a Full Moon (the Strawberry Moon)

Midsummer, Summer Solstice, and a Full Moon (the Strawberry Moon).  The Moon enters Capricorn and the Sun, Cancer.  What a beautiful, glorious and powerful day we are experiencing.  The longest day of the year, the middle of the summer for a few, the start of summer for some, some early harvests, and a Full Moon to work under and perform a little Magick!

For a few as I said previously, this is the middle of summer.  This does make sense if you think about it, that this is Midsummer for the days will now grow ever shorter until the Winter Solstice where we'll experience the longest night of the year and realistically speaking celebrate the middle of winter, Midwinter, I suppose.

For my partner and I we estimate the beginning of summer should start somewhere in early May, perhaps, the 5th or 6th of the month.  As this is the midway point between Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice.

It's a wonderfully sunny day here in New Westminster, the eight o'clock hour is mere minutes old and the sun is still shining.  Here in the condo the African Violet is in full bloom, and Peace Lily is standing tall and proud, leaves stretching mightily toward the sky.  Or in this case the big, bright southwest facing window.

Time to sit back and relax with my books, my stones and crystals, Tarot Cards, and enjoy Spirit's energy.

Namaste!

The '5 of Wands' and Being Emboldened Through Competition, Struggle, and Resistance

Saturday, January 23, 2016.  The Power of a Full Moon enhanced by a burning candle and Dragon's Blood Incense is how I've started my morning.  Although the Full Moon is not visible to me in the sky, its power and beauty fill my heart, mind, body, and spirit and I hold a powerful image of the Full Moon in my gaze as the flickering candle flame and rising incense carry my spirit forth to infinite cosmos.

This morning as I slipped on my Wizard Oron Jacket, Pants, T-Shirt and Hat I felt more wholesome and pure than any time previous that I worked with Tarot.  Maybe only once have I felt this way before and that was back in 2002 when I was living on East 6th Avenue in Vancouver.  I feel like ME!  I finally feel like I'm encompassing my true self, my true nature, and for the first time being the ME who I'm supposed to be.  I feel empowered and connected to something greater than myself, something that is all-encompassing and truly everlasting...the ultimate Energy and Spirit of the Universe itself!

The Dragon's Blood Incense is from Wise Owl Incense, a natural incense made right here in Canada.  I picked it up in Montreal from Charme & Sortilege during our visit there in the Fall of 2013.  This particular incense offers "Protection, cleansing, and banishing, drawing prosperity, love and passion, sex and Red Magick.  Enhance any intention."

Today's Tarot Energy is the “5 of Wands: The Hockey Game.  The project meets resistance.  Testing one’s ideas against others.  An enjoyable struggle.  Competition in the marketplace."

Though, the “5 of Wands" speaks of "Competition in the marketplace" I feel quite confident that my Tarot perspective and readings are filling a niche market that is allowing me to be a successful spiritual intuitive and guide, helping others awaken and discover their own true spiritual nature thus enhancing their lives and allowing them to do the same for others.  I am merely a vessel of Spirit here in the physical world filling a void and thus enriching and strengthening the light, energy and love of the cosmos.

Resistance and/or competition should not scare or frighten us or be cause for concern.  It should rather encourage us to work harder and do better for our clients.  Struggle, resistance, and competition should guide us to reach for our highest potentials and truly engage with Spirit, Nature, and those around us.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

'Nine of Arrows - Dedication' and Heeding The Call

Tuesday, July 28th, 2015.  Another great evening of understanding my present and my present self along with feeling quite at ease with really owning Wizard Oron as part of my identity.  I feel great!

To move forward I need to truly and sincerely turn my passion for all things spiritual into a full-time endeavour.  I love the world of Tarot, Wicca, Chakras, Auras, and Magick and all the symbolism and activities that go along with it...energy raising and releasing, wands, pentacles, athames, cauldrons, candles, incense, crystals, stones, and jewelry of all sorts...the moon, sun, and stars...amazing, simply amazing!

Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot is the "Nine of Arrows, Dedication: To heed the calling to dedicate one's life to any skill, spiritual path, belief system or philosophy requires sincerity, self-discipline and hard work.  It is a sacred summoning that requires time and effort.  For those who hear the calling and become spiritual warriors and protectors of the land, responsibility and sacrifice are also required.  To deny that the human species has had a negative effect on the planet's climate and atmosphere seems totally redundant.   The growing awareness of our individual impact on the ecosystem may take on greater significance in the future.  We cannot predict what effect our avarice and rapacious exploitation of the land will eventually produce, but the dedicated defender of the soil must protect the living legacy we leave for our children.  To teach by example the value of respecting others' beliefs and philosophies in honouring the land is immensely important.  Sometimes a simple daily ritual reminds us of the oath we have taken to conserve and protect the environment.  Dedicate yourself to the task of preserving the land and be a part of making the difference."

Do you hear a voice calling out to you?  Do you feel a tap on your shoulder?  Is someone, something trying to get your attention?

"To heed the calling to dedicate one's life to any skill, spiritual path, belief system or philosophy requires sincerity, self-discipline and hard work.  It is a sacred summoning that requires time and effort."  And let me tell you, I've heard the calling for years, if not decades so it seems only natural for me to finally take notice of this call, take action and dedicate my life to doing my part and whatever else I can to bring about positive change to this world.  I need to devote my skills and talents to the greater good.  I'm reaching out to my higher self and my highest, our highest ideals.  I can be, I am a better person.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The 'Ace of Coins' and Using Magick

Tuesday, May 19, 2015.  The long weekend was a welcome time of togetherness and love.  We spent the weekend together enjoying the bounty that life has to offer as we re-explored Burns Bog, strolled along the waterfront promenade in White Rock, enjoyed lunch at a favourite restaurant and enjoyed another sun filled walk along Vancouver's False Creek.  We relaxed and enjoyed our quiet afternoons and evenings at home as we expressed much gratitude for having the opportunity an privilege to live in such a great place as the lower mainland more commonly known now as Metro Vancouver.

Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot is the “Ace of Coins: A gift of security.  Starting to build or construct something.  A fertile environment"

We are so interconnected with the Earth and have access to so much energy and force to effect change in our lives I wonder why most of us do so little with it.  I'm very guilty at this and am only now after 15 years of simply dabbling in the world of Wicca and Paganism, truly practising magick in my life.  I've become a more active participant in my life and am doing more now than ever before to make a physical reality of my thoughts, ideas, and dreams.  And what a difference this makes in my life.

Nothing necessarily Earth shattering or newsworthy however for me some outcomes of my magickal practices have been quite momentous.  My magickal and spiritual tools, supplies, and energies have take on more meaning and play a much more active role in my life than they ever have in the previous fifteen years.

I can truly say that today, I live and breathe Magick, Tarot and Spirit.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The "8 of Cups" and Being a Witch

Tuesday, May 5, 2015.  I took it easy yesterday, as easy as I could make myself take considering I have a hard time sitting still.  But I was feeling under the weather so I chose not to go to the gym.  So I read a few pages out of two issues of Witches and Pagans magazine which gave me some much needed spiritual lift and encouragement.  I felt spiritually awesome going to bed but had a bit of a nightmare where I subconsciously said that I was a "failure".  Luckily though, I had spiritual kick in the butt and was told that I cannot think that way then I quickly fell asleep.

I awoke feeling a bit lethargic and unprepared to get out of bed let alone open my eyes however that's what I did.

Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot is the “8 of Cups: Farewell.  Moving on.  Leaving behind a person, a situation, or a part of yourself"

How fitting to see the “8 of Cups" and how thankful I am to identify where I need to make changes and what I need to let go of and let slip into the past.  Pessimism, self-doubt, and revolving worries, and anxiety over things that are done and over with.  I have to move on.  Also, I need to move things in the direction I want them to go.

The first move I'm making right now is to acknowledge and declare that I'm a "witch", the second is to move away from my lackadaisical and lazy approach to Wicca, Witchcraft, Tarot, and magickal practice and take up a more focused, real, and spiritually enriched study and practice of each of them.  I believe and have faith in being a real and practising witch and wish to embrace this through living and breathing the energy, spirit, and magic of the witch.

The goddess and god I identified with more than a decade ago are Freya and Bacchus, more recently enamoured with a gypsy goddess and god as I really believe that I belong on the road travelling with no clear destination in mind only knowing that I need to drive and interact with people I meet along the way.

I still feel that way but for now I'm a model railroad building witch.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The 5 of Cups and Looking Beyond Loss For Golden Opportunities

Sunday, March 9th, 2014.  Well…yesterday turned into a very interesting day and it all started with about a four minute telephone call around 8:48am.  My Sales Manager was on the other end of the line—“Hi, this is **** and I’m terminating your employment effective immediately…”

We had a bit of back and forth but at the end of the call I was satisfied that the reasons form my termination are not valid however I am simply moving forward and not looking back.  So then I texted and chatted with the Account Manager, the subject of a meeting I had with the Sales Manager and the reason behind my termination.

What a sense of relief.

Soon after my partner and I were out shopping and getting on with our day.  Yes, I talked somewhat about what happened as I processed the events over the past three and a half months and feel that this is just opening me up for a great opportunity that lay ahead.

Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “5 of Cups: The Aftermath.  Regret over past actions.”

There is a sense of loss yet a great sense of freedom that comes with the loss of my job and the trying days of turmoil put upon the workplace by the Sales Manager.  I’m sad for him because he is a smart and intelligent man but fails to use those skills to the best of his abilities.  The loss for me is financially painful as I have nothing to fall back upon however at the same time as I mentioned above I have the chance to bring about some change and look for and at the opportunities before me.

One of which is to become more intimately involved with Spirit and Tarot and possibly find ways through these to earn an income.  My deepest and most heartfelt passion(s) is/are Spirit, Tarot and the awe and wonder of magick.  I sense that this is where my own magick lies.  That for to live a purposeful and purpose driven life I need to delve more into and be more intertwined with the wonders of Spirit.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

0 The Fool and the Magic of Life

We spent a good part of the day out of New Westminster to avoid the acrid smoke that permeated the air and infiltrated our condo building.  A half block of historical buildings and a dozen or businesses burned to the ground yesterday and has left a gaping hole in the middle of New Westminster’s downtown and historic district.  Streets for several blocks around the fire are littered with remnants of charred wood and other fire debris.  And my eyes and throat are still feeling the lingering effects of the smoke that swirled around us for the good part of the morning before we left to do some urban hiking in downtown Vancouver.

Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “0 The Fool: Accepting and exploring one's sexual identity is a journey of self-discovery.  Beginning a new and exciting venture.  Going beyond the limits of social convention.  A nonconformist."

I believe in the mystery and magic of life.  I also have faith in life and the beauty of each and every one our lives, all 7 billion of us.  I believe because I know and I know because I have an open heart, mind, body, and spirit.  I experience the world we live in with all of my senses so miracles, magic, the paranormal and the supernatural are not unusual and beyond human life and experience rather they are an everyday occurrence and dare I say integral part of it.  Each second/moment/day of our lives has unlimited potentials and it is up to each one of us to be aware of the specialness of each second of our lives and what we can experience in each of them if we live and experience our lives with all of our senses and see the world as it really is and always has been—special!

Move beyond belief and come to know life, you won’t regret it!

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

Ace of Wands and Magick is in the Air

Had a successful day of training yesterday and looking forward to getting started tomorrow and confirming and adding people onto the provincial voter’s list.  I think we work just shy of two weeks, Monday to Saturday.  I will then likely only have a week or so of a break before starting the office portion of my work with them.  It’s exciting to be involved in the democratic process.

Slept rather poorly last night though, not sure why but I’m up and happy to start my day, it’s got magick in the air...not sure why I feel that way but that is what came to mind as I awoke from my slumber and moved about opening the drapes and getting some coffee on.  Magick is in the air.

Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Ace of Wands: A creative inspiration.  The beginning of a project or venture.”  The image of a magician’s hat and wand, magick is definitely in the air.  Fleeting images fill my mind but none last long enough for me to get a good sense of what they are about or represent for me but I feel much love and trust as the quickly play through my mind.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

Become a Recluse For a Spell

Not sure what kind of sleep I had, I slept had another dream I wish I didn’t however it was what it was.  Perhaps, messages from my subconscious mind that I need make note of and use when making certain decisions.  Or simply fears working their way through and out of my mind.

For many months now I’ve been feeling the need to get away and be on my own for awhile and this is how I feel today—the need to get away and be on my own.  I feel like I need to be a recluse for awhile—a period of self-reflection, meditation, cleansing, magick, knowing, arriving...

Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “IX the Hermit: To fully understand something, sometimes you must escape it.  Gaining perspective.  Solitude.  Study.”  Yup, I need time by myself.  I get into my RV, drive to a secluded forest service campground and simply “be” for a spell, then come back into the world and live my life, truly live my life with renewed hope and enthusiasm—with a Divine twinkle in my eye.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

Spiritual Fulfillment - The Guide of Coins

I had a decent enough day yesterday.  I had a cleaning and check-up at the dentist.  I made Oatmeal Raisin Cookies from a new recipe and I made Hamburger Pie for dinner, also a new recipe.

I did a bit of reading after dinner and then some research later in the evening just before hopping into bed.  I thought it would be a good idea for me to do some research and find out a few things about the animals that have made their presence known to me either out in the real world, through Spirit or through my dreams.  Oh, and I mustn’t forget through a plush toy, my rat.

So in addition to the rat, I’ve seen a turtle and a German Shepherd through Spirit, a Sparrow and a Crow in real life.  I’ll read through what I discovered and write about all of it in very short order.

I do not remember much dream activity last night other than trying to ride what appeared to be a stationary bike outside on a dark rainy afternoon.  Oh, a man also appeared in my dreams, kind of in the shadows and now I also remember a dream about food, a magick circle, and maybe a few family members, it’s a bit vague at the moment about who the people in my dream may have been but family members seems right to me.

Thank You Spirit .

Working with Tarot this morning out on the deck as a cool but warm wind gently caressed me.  Today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Guide of Coins: Seeing the magic in the mundane.  Spiritual fulfillment from nature.  Finding joy in the ordinary.”

Yes, I must admit that seeing the Moon, Stars, Sun or feeling the falling rain, or the wind upon my face bring me much Spiritual pleasure.  This is the same for the pigeons, seagulls, and crows that dot the sky out the window every now and then or the Sparrows that flit about down around the corner as they seek out food and then retreat back to their homes in the shrubs that dot the street and bring a bit nature to the city.

It’s good to feel so alive.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

Magick, Chants, Drums, Trances, and VI The Lovers

Happy Birthday to my Dad’s wife.

Last night my dreams were filled with music and magick and an eagle soared into my life through Spirit.  Amazing!  But before I realized all of this the first time I simply awoke from my dreams to use the bathroom.  Only when I slipped back into bed did I realize what I awoke from—magick and sacred circles and chanting, drumming, and trances.  My dreams were beautiful, peaceful, and serene.  Thank You Spirit.

Today’s visiting tarot Card is “VI The Lovers: A relationship is always a mingling of differences.  A powerful relationship.  Seeing both sides of an issue.  Flexibility."

I’m trying to be more aware of and appreciative of my partner and the relationship I have with my partner.  I’m also trying to understand what my relationship is and what it means and where it is headed and/or needs to go.  I have love in my life, a close friend to share my life with, and a fairly balanced life.  I am blessed and have much to be thankful for.  With that being said I also have a dream or two to pursue as well as a goal or two that I must seek and accomplish and am in the process of doing all of these.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

Sage of Coins

Yesterday was an awesome day because my partner had co-workers over for dinner and by the time dinner was over and they headed out the door to their respective homes I had orders for almost one hundred handcrafted Christmas Cards.  I’m flabbergasted and honoured by their appreciation of my efforts and quite humbled to receive such a large order of cards from as few as five people.  Now I have to get to work and make all of these cards.  They also love the name of my little enterprise, "Odds n Ends Scraps and Crafts".  Finally, I get to earn a bit of income from something I love to do, love to do just because.

Spirit is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Sage of Coins: Working with resources rather trying to control them.  A mature appreciation of the natural world.  Patience."  I get a sense that I need to work more with trying to communicate with Spirit and Tarot than trying to get them to communicate with me.  They are already talking to and with me, it is I who am not hearing what they are saying.  I have a blockage that comes and goes and is more often in the way than out so I need to meditate and relax and truly let Spirit, Tarot, and Magick into my life so I can become a better person as well as the person I am meant to be.  And as part of this I must give up some control to them so they can provide me with much direction and advice and steer me onto the path I must be on in this life in order to live the life of my dreams.

Thanks for stopping by.

Blessed Be.
