Odd dreams last night one of which had separate scenes yet seemed to be connected. I had the car in the shop and not the usual place but at the local Ford dealer. For some reason I had to or picked up the car for some reason and parked it on a road that didn't appear to be all that far away but was a muddy dirt and gravel road where the sides were heaped with a mixture of mud and snow. I parked the car facing uphill and then found myself walking up the side of the muddy road and stepped in puddle of mud with my black shoes. This is where I saw a person that I used to see every day when I took transit and worked at another job. He was with a friend and was carrying a dog. They walked onto a hiking trail. I then found myself walking up what I imagined was a piece of art but then I jumped off of it and back onto the road which suddenly transformed itself into a city street. I was looking for my partner and a friend or perhaps an acquaintance of ours. In another snippet of a dream I was once again talking if only to myself, giving a lecture perhaps, a travelling lecture as I felt like I was on a journey of sorts.

Creativity and creative energy and power are running high today so it's time to get creating the life you most desire. Interestingly, as I was driving today I was struck with the thought I'm still quite where I need to be in really knowing my true desires...I'm getting closer and am very close, standing at the threshold but not quite ready to cross it. Then images of RV's and travelling filled my mind. I've always want to write and travel and this is not at all much different than wanting to be a Spiritual Guidance Counsellor or Tarot Card Reader at all. In fact, I'm writing right this very moment, right now!
My writing and interpreting of Tarot is my creativity. Being spiritual, seeking guidance through spirit and tarot, writing a blog, having a website as well as advertising materials such as business cards and car door magnets is creating a life...my lie and I'm living it right now, in the here and now, at the this very present moment. How lucky am I. I am truly blessed.
So for the most part I've created and am living the majority of the way I want to live my life but need to come up with more powerful ways and energy and directing it with precision focus to be true to my most passionate desires and that is to earn a living from what I'm doing right this very minute, blogging and talking about today's Tarot Energy. Further expanded to include Tarot Card Reading for clients, spiritual guidance for those who seek it out and writing about the world of spirit, tarot and the mystical realms through my eyes and maybe capture a photo and video or two along the way.

A group of people filled my mind as I slept and at some point I was walking back and forth talking in a classroom, I suppose but then I found myself walking on a trail in a forest, a lovely forest so full of life and energy that I forgot where I was and simply took it all in...life was everywhere, and it was amazing to see, feel, hear, and be a part of. I was not an intruder or an outsider, I was a part of the forest and all the activities going on there.
Then as the serenading alarm neared I practised meditating and lost myself in the purity of existence...
...Spirit is and today's Tarot Energy is and I am the “Ace of Swords: An idea. Starting to develop a plan or strategy”
...hhhmmm...I'm a little bit perplexed by this “Ace of Swords" as I'm hoping that I'm not merely spinning my wheels and going nowhere fast because my goal is simple, quit my current job and dedicate myself full-time to assisting people with their spiritual needs through spiritual guidance counselling and tarot card readings. However, a new idea might not be a bad thing either so I'll just fill my mind with the passions I have of helping people and us my willpower to get it out there in the energetic realm and bring it all into existence with the help of all that pure energy out there ready and willing to help me...no more debts and everyday spent offering my assistance to those who need a little bit help in the world of spirit.

Dreams about the birthday party we attended last night, specifically around the discussion we were having about movies and if I remember correctly Tarot Cards were also drifting through the air, if not in my mind only.
Mid-afternoon we were celebrating the life of a friend who passed away a week before Christmas. It was a nice affair and I was brought to tears as several people mentioned my brother and his selfless act of taking care of this much loved woman for eleven months as she transitioned from this life into the next, he essentially put his life on hold.
We also had lunch on Commercial Drive at Havana, quite enjoyed lunch, we strolled along the drive shopping for a birthday card and gift for our friend and revisiting a store so I could further contemplate the purchase of a piece of art, which I did, metalwork that features nine crows. This was at the Doctor Vigari Gallery.
And between the one celebration and the next we stopped off at Park Royal to grab a coffee and pastry at Eve, cute eatery tucked away in Simons and then to grab some savoury finger food for the birthday party.
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is and I am the “7 of Wands: Fighting the wind. A Quixotic struggle. Winning against the odds. Confrontation.”
As this current moon wanes and disappears before becoming a New Moon again so too does my current job end so that I can then start fresh with my new spiritual career as Spiritual Guidance Counsellor and Tarot Card Reader, acting as an intermediary for the grand Spirit of life. My quixotic struggle is mostly with myself and accepting myself for who I am as well as accepting the gifts of blessings of Spirit in my life such as the need to embark on this spiritual career. And so this how I am winning against the odds for now instead of betting against myself I betting for myself and willing, able, and capable of handling the spiritual career that Spirit is bestowing upon me this day.

Memories of any dreams I had are being elusive. I don't have any recollection of what the subject matter of any dream may have been...nothing, absolutely nothing comes to mind. However, having said that I awoke happy but was not happy about having to head out to the job. Happiness that is coming from my inner self, happiness driven by the knowledge, wisdom, and belief that I've had bestowed upon the gifts of being a Spiritual Guidance Counsellor and Tarot Card Reader and these will be front and centre as 2017 gets into full swing, no room for a job as this spiritual career I've been given is in full bloom.
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is and I am “XVI Revelation: While it is usually best to tell the truth about yourself to those who are close to you, it can be a painful experience. A necessary destruction of the status quo. Having to tell someone an unwelcome truth. A new idea which upsets others.”
Being totally honest and true to ourselves can bring us freedom, relief, a clean slate but may be upsetting and disheartening to others. It'd be good to find a way to make it more uplifting, more palatable if at all possible. But these things sometimes just have to be said, there is no way around, no need to beat around the bush either. But if spoken from the depths of our being, from our spirit to theirs and with much love then perhaps the fallout can be mitigated or lessened to a great degree.

Mostly a quiet and homey day for us. We did go out and do our grocery run after lunch and had our afternoon coffee after that. For me it was a nice easy and perfect weekend day.
Spirit Is and today's Gay Tarot Energy is and I am the “Sage of Swords: Making a mature, informed decision. Being too judgmental. Mediating a dispute.”
My initial thoughts as I immersed myself into the “Sage of Swords" are: impartiality, objectivity, reasoning, focused, deliberate, logical, impartial, wise counsel. These thoughts are easily the influence of this card this day for we may be called upon to act as wise counsel where our impartiality can bring two parties together through reasoned discussions and agreeable compromise. Give way to Spirit so we are not subject to being judgemental or closed-minded.

Sleep was going very well until about 4am and then it was tossing and turning until the alarm serenaded us...one of us from a good sleep and me from an annoying couple of hours of wanting to sleep more...I was not wanting to get out of bed this morning. And I wanted to have more dreams like I was having earlier in the night where I was sitting in one of the big leather chairs at Old Crow Coffee doing a reading for a young blond guy who had some questions about his life and seeing the 4 of Wands, 4 of Cups, the 4 of Coins and the 4 of Swords appear gave him some heightened concern...but the reading went well and he left feeling relieved and looking forward to the days ahead.

When I contemplate the appearance of "The Magician" today, the first thought that came to mind is that he's a reminder that I am now actively "Making something happen” with my life. With the creation my "manifestation box" and through becoming more in tune with Nature I'm doing more today than I have in a long time to transition from an external job to self-employment and engaging myself full-time in the world of Spiritual Guidance and Tarot Card Reading.
Back in November I do believe, I picked up an Italian Stone Pine "Yule Tree" from our local Safeway store and last night I finally introduced myself to her. However, it was not until the middle of night that I learned her name, Rowena so I went out and let her know that it was night to meet her and finally know her name. She's grown about an inch since I brought her home and is likely in need of a bigger pot. I'm going to keep her around as long as I can before finding a new home for where she can really stretch out her branches and become a loving tree for generations to come.
This is a great for all of us to reflect on our lives to see if we like our lives as they are or perhaps a desire for change has been brewing for a spell. What better time than now is to "create a life, not merely react to it". Out with the old life and in with the new one along with a new year! Sounds like a great plan to me.

Another relaxing evening last night especially since I finally got my model railroad working. I figured out the wiring problem by disconnecting the wiring on the section of track that was causing issues and then running a locomotive on the track and it ran the complete oval without a hitch. Then I was able to really relax and get into reading an article from Issue 29 of Witches and Pagans magazine, a 2014 issue at that!
Then off to bed I went around 10:30pm. The only dream I remember having is one where there was some leaky plumbing in a building we were in, we being my Dad and myself, the other people were around but not visible. To deal with the leaky plumbing we had to go out into an alley about a block away. Surprisingly, we were in a city and may of the buildings we passed by were run down and unoccupied with most having no windows left and no contents inside. We had to enter an alley but had to quietly walk past some guards presumably patrolling the city. They had an alien feel to them as they were wearing uniforms and helmets with blacked out visors. A surreal dream!
Then the alarm serenade us from our slumber...
...Spirit Is and today's Pagan Tarot Energy is the "Seven of Wands: Our Witch is dressed in her white robe and is sitting on the sunny deck of her house at the patio table, with her young man standing behind her. He leans over her shoulder, pointing at something she is working on. She is figuring her budget and writing out checks to pay all the bills. A calculator is sitting next to her and she waves a magic wand over the budget she is writing. Six more wands are threatening, but she seems to have a handle on things. And having someone to help her isn't bad either. You may be facing a challenging situation. Don't worry - you have the skills, knowledge, and resources to make the right choices to resolve this. Be steadfast in your decisions and resist waffling or changing your mind. Don't try to handle it alone; there is someone you can turn to for guidance or even just reassurance."
Trust yourself and your abilities. As much you might think you do not have the wherewithal to handle your current circumstances you stop denying the truth because you do. Take a moment, take a deep breath and think back to other tough situations you've handled, perhaps even the praise you received, then give yourself a pat on the back and get on with dealing what is front of you.
You can and you will handle it!

Took time to relax yet again yesterday. After our weekly grocery run and experiencing the weather outside we decided to stay in the rest of the day. So I gave myself permission to relax for the remainder of the day. I think it did me well. As I completed reading an article from Sage Woman and really came into contact with and strongly felt the presence of Spirit. This spiritual connection followed me into bed and stayed with me throughout the night where I even awoke at one point and saw what I do believe was a bird passing by above the bed. Then in a dream I opened the door of my van to welcome a client and thank her for enlisting my services. I offered her a seat a surprising seating arrangement set-up outside the van--a really nice wicker chairs and a table--I at first refused to accept that this could be possible because how could I possibly carry it all in the van but then just let it be as this was a dream after all. Or was it?
Spirit Is and today's Pagan Tarot Energy is "The Chariot: Signifies both a time period in which we have felt as though our wheels were spinning, getting us nowhere; and also that such a time period is nearing its end, and we are about to begin to see our energies released for growth and movement again. The timing was not right for our success, but now that time is coming."
I look forward to the growth and movement coming my way. I love and respect myself and formally ask to be allowed to be a Spiritual Guidance Counsellor and Tarot Intuitive/Tarot Card Reader. I sincerely believe that I am ready, able and more than willing to accept the responsibilities and challenges that come with being an active and guiding member of the spiritual community thus fulfilling my purpose. I am forever thankful, grateful and humble to be bestowed/loaned such gifts as these. May I give the them the love, devotion, time, honour and respect they deserve.
Your wheels are about to touch the ground and carry you toward you long sought goals and desires. Are you ready? The time is here and that time is now!

Not much time to relax yesterday morning as we had to head for eye exams around 9:00am so we could get downtown in a timely manner and make our 10:00am appointments. Here I thought my eyesight was getting worse yet I walk out of there with a better prescription than I walked in with, well at least for one eye. My right eye didn't change.
We met friends for lunch at Hamburger Mary's before coming back home. Oh, since we had time to kill before lunch we walked through Nordstrom, don't think we'll be shopping at this sore any time soon...each to their own but looking at a t-shirt on the clearance rack and still seeing a price of $195.00 is a bit much. I worked briefly at a high end clothing retailer about ten years ago receiving and shipping stock and the quality of the clothing was really no better than something I could find in H&M or Old Navy for example...my opinion only though.
Once we returned home I relaxed the rest of the day although I did make dinner. I was feeling tired and sleepy so I broke up my time between typing here on the computer, reading Sage Woman, and watching TV...and finding that as I was doing all of this I was also strengthening and feeling more the connection I have with Spirit...feeling great!
Spirit Is and today's Pagan Tarot Energy is "XVII The Stars - We are finally able to see clearly where our Destiny and Karma are leading us. We see the hand of Goddess pointing our way to us and every small clue in our lives takes on a brave new significance. We will never feel alone again."
More and more each day I feel more connected with myself and thus Spirit, the Universe, Nature and the world and the people around me. As I feel more connected I feel more of the energy of light, love, peace, compassion and empathy that flow through the cosmos as well as each of us and all we have to do is open ourselves up to it, accept it and recognize that it is the natural state of the universe. The more connected I am the more I understand that I am indeed on the right path and am being the opportunity of a fresh start, a fresh start that first comes with breaking out in the social media world that will be followed by more face-to-face interactions with people. I've got my work cut-out for me but do I ever look forward to it.
I visited my camper Serenity the other day to try and get a sense of whether or not I should keep or find a way to sell her and as I sat there eating my lunch I did not get any feeling that I burdening myself having her in my life or with the fact I only own her right now through a loan that I am in the process of paying back. And then here this morning as I sit here reflecting on "XVII The Stars" the idea of turning Serenity into a life size altar and images of what that will look like filled my mind. This as I was contemplating my new social media presence and soon-to-be face-to-face interaction with people that seek out my services...Serenity is my altar. And as crazy as it may be, I still feel that I should take her out of storage and simply have her parked on the street most of the time. Here in front of the condo or several blocks away where there is "free" parking. For some reason, I get the sense that my sweet little Serenity is to play a central role in my new role or renewed role of Spirit Guide, Spiritual Guidance Counsellor and Tarot Intuitive (Reader).
"XVII The Stars" is also telling us that if we open our eyes and give ourselves permission to see, the divine and wonderful world of Spirit will come to life before us where it's always been. We have to remember that for most of us we were taught to close our hearts, minds, spirits and eyes to such a world at a very young age. It's always there and always will be we just have to decide if we're reading willing, and able to not only see this world again but interact with and learn from it.

Last night we had my brother and a couple of friends over for dinner and we all had a wonderful time. The Porchetta was fantastic and the rice pudding was scrumptious. And I must say that I made a very decent Sangria as it was going down very easy. And after our guests left, the after dinner cleanup was for quick and easy and we were in bed shortly after 11:00pm.
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is the “Sage of Cups: Emotional maturity. A good mediator or counsellor.”
The “Sage of Cups" today is about balance, understanding, and finding middle ground through quelling the heated emotions that might arise and finding room for and areas where compromise can bring about a peaceful, collective resolution to the dispute at hand. It's a day where we must strong and level-headed so that we stay above the fray where we are then in a better position to offer a solution rather than become part of or exacerbate the problem.
And what better way to do this than to adopt the energy of yesterday's Tarot Energy, the “2 of Coins: Tai Chi. Flexibility. “Going with the flow”. Living in tune with your environment.”
Yesterday's “2 of Coins" promoted a good balance and flow of mind, body, and spirit not only with each other but with nature too, including the world around us as in the energy and the people we come into contact with throughout the day.

Spent almost two hours temporarily securing the track on my model railroad with track nails in order to better assess the way the track segments connect as well as the electrical flow throughout the layout. I have a small section where I think the wires are crossed causing a short so I will go and change that right now while I remember...I'll be right back...didn't work still shorts out...drat, another reversing section to work with.
Sleep was good until I awoke half an hour or so before the alarm but I did my best to use the time to meditate and give sincere and humble thanks for the gift of life for another day...

It's a day to be rational and logical in all that we do today whether we're working alone or interacting with fellow employees or customers or a bit of each. Logic and reason can go a long way and sometimes it's even best to take our time with our words, thoughts and actions so that we think before we act thus minimizing the potential for adverse and unforeseen consequences.

We certainly enjoyed our night out at the movies. The "Arrival" is our type of movie. We thought it was a great nerdy, intellectual, science fiction, alien type of movie. Using science, language and symbolism to solve a crisis rather than resorting to weapons, violence and war.
I slept through the entire night and the alien ships played a role in one of my dreams, at least the shape of them...now that I think of it...I do believe the elongated oval shape with one flat side of these alien ships became cookies in my dream. Then having a fresh start and starting out reading cards and guiding people spiritually filled other parts of my sleep.
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is the “4 of Swords: Napping Between Rehearsals. Resting and gathering strength for the next phase. A vacation or “time out”."
Give yourself permission to be lazy for a moment or two. Sit down, put your feet up, take a deep breath, exhale and let yourself really sink into that chair. Feel free to do absolutely nothing. It's not good to always be busy and going to sleep every night is not quite the same as having a lazy day and simply relaxing. Contemplate if you will but first let your mind slow down and unwind for a moment or two, let your mind wander, then focus your thoughts. But remember today is about resting and this is even hard for me to do.

Tuesday, November 22, 2016. A disturbed night of sleep. Awoke a couple of times and had a hard time getting back to sleep. Felt good upon awaking though so not such a bad sleep overall and maybe falling asleep quickly wasn't such a good thing. Was reading Sage Woman magazine in bed and started feeling quite sleepy so by 10:30 I was pretty much half asleep. Love the articles in that magazine and they always make me feel good...always a good read from cover to cover for me.
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is the “4 of Coins: The Lighting Director. A position of power. Wanting to control how others perceive things.”
As we go out and interact with others we must always guard against trying to influence how they should think about things in life. In my quest to be a spiritual guidance counsellor and tarot intuitive I must be careful that I'm not trying to control the thoughts of others while facilitating their interaction with Spirit. It all has to be about them, not me and I must strictly remain as a guide, a human roadmap as they go about their journey in re-establishing their connection with Spirit and themselves.
Oh...time to go, catching a movie tonight..."Arrival"...

The Eastside Culture Crawl took up a few hours of our day yesterday. It was fun to walk through the dozens of studios that filled the 4 floors of 1000 Parker Street. Then we had some street food for lunch, a bowl of hot chilli from the Chilli Tank, $15.00 for two decent sized bowls and a slice of bread each.
Still piddling around with my model railroad, trying to do something with it each day...sleep was okay last night but not great, the new norm it seems for when I have the job to wake up for. But then my dreams were not related to the job at all but rather possibilities--spirit guide, tarot intuitive, driving around a city looking for a parking spot and eventually finding one and when I did I seemed to be in an Asian country or an Asian community of sorts.
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is the “3 of Swords: The Wreckage. Feeling heavy-hearted after an emotional storm. Feeling hurt or betrayed.”
For all of you out there that might be feeling lonely or completely alone, I feel your pain, anxiety and even to a degree your sense of loss. Your feelings are real so feel them but please do not let them overwhelm you. Find a way, find something that you can cast your eyes and attention on that will lift you up and help you see and feel the loving presence and warmth of Spirit in your life. No, this is not to dismiss how you feel but rather help guide you beyond this temporary situation , to help you transcend it so that you can see that goes on beyond this and you have much to look forward to and be more joyful about.
Accept your feelings and the way you are feeling now but also recognize that you cannot dwell forever in this state of melancholy and emotional distress for life, your life is important and it's important that you find a way to snap out of it so-to-speak so you can move on to become whole and complete again where you wear this emotional wreck as a badge that symbolizes that you survived, challenged but becoming a better person for it.

Another weekend is upon us. And to help myself relax last night I whipped up a batch of Nanaimo Bars--delicious and just like Mom used to make. Then it was time to get dinner going and relax for the remainder of the evening. Going to bed felt like something I just had to do but was not really ready for as the night somehow felt incomplete. However, I slept quite well and faced head on any stress or worries that crept into my dreams and thoughts and forced them to move aside...making room for more images of work I was doing in awaking others to their authentic selves...very uplifting!
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is "XV The Devil. Matter overpowers mind. Desires rule. Beware of your dark side. The pursuit of materialistic or sensual pleasures may taint your ability to think clearly. Cleanse yourself of behaviours and habits that are doing you no good. When reversed: Things are unclear for you now. Don’t let yourself be intimidated and don’t judge others too harshly. Others seem uptight, set in their ways. Are you? Don’t let past issues cloud today’s progress."
"Cleanse yourself of behaviors and habits that are doing you no good" and see your life turnaround from one of struggle to one of freedom and clarity of mind, thought and purpose. Break free from the constraints of such things that may feel good but do more harm than good in terms of seeking and experiencing a better life. Some habits and behaviours are simply avoidance mechanisms we use to avoid uncomfortable circumstances and/or difficulties in our lives. Yet the best way to overcome such trying times is to face them head on and deal with them directly and forego the procrastination that has got you nowhere.

Cannot really remember much of any dreams I may have had but I did fall asleep thinking about the stones and crystals tucked neatly under my pillow. I do remember something about being on a schedule and having to get things moving by certain times. But the images are kind of foggy but I can definitely say that I do remember any job related thoughts or dreams until I awoke an hour or so before the alarm.
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is the “9 of Swords: Unquiet Dreams. Stress. Worries. Mental tapes which play over and over.”
The best way to get rid of and stop "Unquiet Dreams" is to face them head-on. Don't try to avoid them or push them aside...simply face them down and force them to move aside. Unnecessary "Stress" is created by avoidable "Worries" as most of the time if not one hundred percent of the time we worry about things we cannot change or have no influence over. And now that I think about it our worries become worse because we're always focusing on them instead of other things that can and will bring about change in our lives. Focus on finding solutions or ways avoid such unnecessary stress and worry. There is always a better and brighter alternative to focus on rather than focusing on that which causes us worry. Think about and you'll know this is true.

Slept well until I'm guessing around 5:00am then I tossed and turned until the alarm serenaded us. Last night we had dinner out as a friend dropped by for a visit and it too late to be making dinner.
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is “XV Self-Hatred: The trap to avoid for all minorities. Unconsciously accepting societal norms. Low self-esteem."
"Unconsciously accepting societal norms" can cause us a lot of heartache and pain because we try to fit into something that has been labelled normal but normal for who and who defines what is normal? We do not all have fit into neat little tidy boxes or have nice little labels affixed to our person so that people know what category we belong. We're individuals and should be treated as such. What works for me might not work for you and that should be okay. We all have our own thoughts, ideas, opinions, dreams and aspirations and we all should be respectful of one another.
Differences are not a bad thing and why do we all need to be "normal". Normal for who? A relationship is a great example of how people can get along and be different at the same time. For example, my partner is a scientist and I am not. I like all matters of spiritual things, believe in cosmic energy that connects us all, believe in the power of Spirit, believe in the guidance of Tarot, believe that people can communicate with the Spirit world and much more...my partner not so much. But we still get along and I Tarot Cards and other spiritual things all around our place. One thing we do not do is label one another and we do our best not to label others as well. We have our own likes and dislikes and do our best to take part in each other's likings...movies, art, travel, places to visit.
Let go of trying to fit into categories or finding the right label to place upon yourself. Do your best to be you and do not let other people define who you are. Define yourself and yet at the same time be flexible enough and allow that definition to evolve over time as you grow and mature and develop as a person as you journey through life and interact with the thousands of people likely to cross your path.

A sleepless night for the most part. Had a bit of a nightmare where I was unable to see. The last thing I remember from the dream was that I was looking out the window and thought a fierce storm was raging outside...a snowstorm, no maybe a sandstorm but then I thought I was having a hard time seeing because my sleep mask kept sliding down over my eyes. I kept lifting it off my head but my vision kept being impaired. That's when I discovered that I was losing my sight and yelled at my partner sitting in the den. Next thing I knew I was screaming and kicking in bed. After this I hardly slept a wink.

"Reaching for a goal from a possibly unsteady foundation” is not necessarily a bad thing just risky is all. And I'm willing to take the chance. I really want to break away or break free from having an outside job. I want the chance to prove to myself that I can earn my own keep and manage my finances much better than I have in the past with the past being last year and buying, Serenity, my wonderful van on credit of all things. I had little to no debt but this past year I've added to my debt and will do almost anything to get rid of it right here and now. But enough of that...
...as I was saying it's not always a bad thing to reach for something from an unsure footing, sometimes you simply have to, as I'm sure many of us have experienced at times there is no other choice and no other way. And many of us have been rewarded for our unsteady and maybe unsure reach. I took risks in the past and I'd say a good seventy-five percent of the time things worked out well.
So today, I reached out and asked, begged and pleaded even with the Universe, the Great Spirit to be given another chance, to be given the opportunity to stake my claim as Spiritual Guidance Counsellor and Tarot Intuitive and see what I can make of it. I've got business cards, car door magnets, Tarot Cards, a mobile office, the willingness to meet in public, the courage to try, to do my best, and even stumble and fall once in awhile as I go out and find myself some clients. Clients willing to take a chance on me, someone who believes without a doubt in a spirit, an energy greater than ourselves, that connects us all, that permeates every atom of our being and our ability to gain wisdom and power from it to do good things here in the physical world.
If I fall down I'm going to get right back up and try again!

We had a fairly quiet day yesterday as I brought the car in for an oil change and to get the winter tires put on. I brought it in around 9am for my one o'clock appointment so I could get on with my day and not worry about bringing the car in later. But because of the great service they offer, Hyack Tire called me around 12:50pm to tell me that the car was ready. Imagine that my car is ready and the scheduled appointment was still ten minutes away. Fantastic.
Since we had the idea of going out for an urban walk, we headed out and did it. This tine starting at Granville Island, for an afternoon coffee and snack we then walked east along the south side of False Creek ending up at Main Street where we then headed south, taking our time as the shorter day gave way to night. Not that we were super hungry we decided to have dinner out and found ourselves at El Caminos, a Latin American inspired hole in the wall with great ambience and atmosphere and the food is pretty good too! and we beat the evening rush. Dessert was at home, Flan de Calabaza...delicious!

If I want to achieve such balance in my life I accept my fits of anger, my stubbornness, and my contrariness. For I am who I am and so what if I think society can be much better than it is. Who doesn't? So what if I want to work in a career that does not seemingly fit in with those acceptable jobs and career paths. My role is needed by people who wish to be who they are but find it difficult to fit into a labelling and judgmental society that wants everyone to fit into nice tidy boxes. My anger and stubbornness are now part of my strengths, skills, and talents and I am manifesting my present at this very moment. Here's what you can do, find a way to turn everything bad about you into a strength that you can use to bring about positive change in your life and turn your life more into the direction you wish to go. Perhaps, a good place to start is by taking all the negative stuff people say about you or complain about what's wrong with you and turn it into something positive by looking at it through a more spiritual and objective lens. Grow from it and become a better person, the person who you want and know that you can be. It won't necessarily be easy but real living is getting back up every time you fall.
So let us rest and contemplate all the facets of our existence by being still and calm so we can achieve balance in our lives by finding, accepting, trusting and having confidence in our own strengths. This will only come from our acceptance of all that we are, the good and the bad, if we must apply such labels to ourselves.

A nice relaxing Friday evening gave way to a goodnight's sleep that was informative and creative. Dreams had me wearing my ritual robe outside of the house, had me spending time in a home near the water in a place that seemed tropical yet more local, maybe something like the Coal Harbour area of Vancouver near Lost Lagoon in Stanley Park but not quite. I was sleeping, awaking, packing clothes enjoying the scenery outside, talking with people who seemed like people I don't know but knew in my dreams, sitting on a sofa talking with a couple of guys solving problems and answering questions...then I was dropping off personal possessions or perhaps movie props for someone in a change room of sorts, a former neighbour in our condo building...curious dreams for sure.
I awoke with a slight headache that disappeared as soon as I got into my ritual and somewhat meditative routine and had some of crystals and stones in the pocket of my ritual robe. This is where my dreams came to life in my mind and creative ideas poured out of my subconscious, some of which I hope to implement.

And today is SATURDAY (SATURN): longevity, exorcism, endings, homes, and houses; the Moon moves into LEO which draws emphasis to the self, central ideas, or institutions, away from connections with others and other emotional needs and people tend to be melodramatic.
My dreams reflected the sentence "He takes his experiences and forms useful philosophies and practices, to help himself and others feel at ease in the world" as throughout the night and throughout my dreams, I was always thinking about my impact on others through my words and actions and how I needed to lead by example and do my best to bring more love and peace into the lives of the people in my dreams that has carried forth to the here and now! And to avoid being inflexible I always harken back to the examples of others such as Ghandi, Mother Teresa, Jesus or by remembering poignant phrases from books and magazines or through always keeping in mind that light, love, peace, compassion, and empathy are our natural state of being.

Had an odd night of sleep or of not sleeping, not really sure which however I felt like I was asleep but seemed to be awake and aware that I was in bed trying to sleep. Then when I awoke I fumbled through the morning...I seemed to stumble to make the coffee, work with Tarot and even eat my breakfast. But I made it through my early morning start and made my way to the job.

I'm too emotionally attached and too rigid in wanting the achievement of my goals now that I'm blocking all of the positive energy that is out there waiting to help me do just that--achieve my goals. I need detachment. I need to plant the seeds in the ground and leave them be so they can sprout, grow and blossom instead of digging them up every five minutes to see if anything has happened. I need to quit disturbing the great loving and positive energy that is all around me wanting me to succeed.
And as much as I'm bothered by my job I need to present at it for all the hours I'm paid for and focus on it rather than bemoaning where I am. I need to be present and focused and perform the duties I'm paid to do. Besides, I can always find another job since I'm disenfranchised by the one I currently have. Seeing things at a new angle has given me a new fresh perspective and I'm feeling a whole lot better because of this. I have the strength, power, energy, courage and people behind me for me to succeed so I better get on with it.
And in seeing things from a new angle I also need to take a look at myself from a new angle so I can more fully understand myself, who I am and who I desire to be. I've got some homework to do so I take my leave for the day and bid you grace and peace.
