Saturday, January 31, 2015. We once again had another quiet evening at home last night. The television was not on very long. We watched a bit of news and then it was off. I piddled around with my model railroad after working with Tarot. Then it was off to bed.
This morning was an early one as I awoke and made my way to the gym after giving thanks for awaking to another day and having all the blessings I have in my life.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “6 of Coins: Dependence. Resentment because of financial dependence on another. Charity. An unequal relationship" with further guidance coming from the “10 of Coins: History. A knowledge of and appreciation for history. Seeing your concerns in a larger context. Seeing your life as a story; who is the author."
After quickly engaging Tarot, an extension of who we are, I headed off to the gym. I struggled with the first couple of exercises but the rest were the usual effort. Once home I had coffee, breakfast, and a protein bar before piddling around with my model railroad all the while contemplating today's visiting Tarot Card, the “6 of Coins".
Then we headed out to run a few errands and do our weekly grocery run. We made a slight adjustment to our plans so I could accommodate my brother and provided with a taxi and delivery service for the afternoon as his car is sitting dead in his parking stall.
We're now home after accomplishing all that we set out to do and I give thanks for the time with my brother and the safe travels that we had today.
As part of my self-empowerment efforts I realize that the “6 of Coins" is more about taking actions to conserve and protect the planet than finding ways around financial dependence on another. And realistically speaking I'm not so much financially dependent as I am being blessed by having my housing needs taken care of and living a very financially freeing lifestyle because of this.
Thank You Spirit.
And as a message for the day, I have to say that each of us has to look in the mirror and see if we can change our situations through better management of the resources we have rather than resenting on having to rely on others to support us. How do we spend our money? Do we spend it responsibly?
Any smokers out there? Anyone who has to buy coffee on the way to work rather than make it at home? Do we out a lot? Where can we make changes and save ourselves a little bit of money?
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The Youth of Wands and the 5 of Coins
Friday, January 30, 2015. Another quiet evening at home and another day of not going to the gym but I will make up for it this weekend as I'll go Saturday and Sunday morning. I love the early morning gym routine--certainly wish I could do this during the work week too!
I also piddled around with my model railroad however I did more mental visualization than anything else as I need to get some more sectional track to complete the new track plan for the once again revised layout. This is as far as I can tell my final revision. I'm eager to get to landscaping the layout ad continue with the design of the town layout and street grid.
I slept rather well and awoke early and even went so far as to get out of bed early so as to allow the one of us who does not have regular work day today to sleep in. How nice is that?
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “Youth of Wands: Focusing attention on something. Reaching for a goal from a possibly unsteady foundation" with some extra guidance coming from the “5 of Coins: Hard Times. Material difficulties. Lack of money. People in adversity helping each other.”
Resiliency, an openness to study, learning and developing skills to move forward with experience, determination and influence are the orders of the day. Developing a strong spirit and being free enough to bend and flex with the winds of the day, of change, and of necessity can give us a smoother ride in and through life.
We must develop, grow, and move forward in live by empowering ourselves and accepting the "truth" that "yes" it is possible for each of us to change and shape our own futures.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 7 of Wands and XI Strength
Thursday, January 29th, 2015. Last night was another relaxing evening. I spent time with Tarot again and also made some time to piddle around with my model railroad layout. I slept well and awoke moments before the alarm.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “7 of Wands: Fighting the wind. A Quixotic struggle. Winning against the odds. Confrontation" with much guidance coming from “XI Strength: Directing your passions, rather than suppressing them, is the key. Finding healthy outlets for powerful energies.”
Spirit, all encompassing Spirit by way of the Cosmos, Gaia, Tarot and Chakras is where I'm most at home and then when I throw in my model railroad and desire to travel the roads of North America I' m more relaxed than I ever imagined I could be. When these all come together, time disappears altogether. Time ceases to be a part of my life and I simply am.
Such feelings come about through trusting in our skills and abilities and making determined and solid decisions without waffling about them. They also come about when we appreciate and understand that we also have our limits and that it's okay to ask for help and guidance from others. A great strength to have is the knowledge and understanding that we don't know everything and that it's okay to seek others out when we need a helping hand.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

V The Priest and the Ace of Swords
Wednesday, January 28th, 2015. Another night of Tarot and model railroading is what I spent my time on last night. Then I relaxed for about an hour before crawling into bed. I had a great night's sleep and was once again awoken by the alarm.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is “V The Priest: The best way to help others is to help them make their own decisions. Wisdom. Advice. A ceremony or ritual" with some direction from the “Ace of Swords: An idea. Starting to develop a plan or strategy.”
Our spirituality is very important and we must do all that we can to keep true to our spirituality protect our rights to believe as we do as well as the freedom of others to follow their spirituality that also brings love, peace, and enlightenment to this world.
Thank You Spirit.

IX The Hermit and the Guide of Cups
Tuesday, January 27th, 2015. My evening last night was filled with relaxing and enjoying my model railroad hobby after some study and meditation on and with Tarot. I was in bed before 11pm and slept very well and was awoken by the alarm. Cool!
I am, we are very much a part of the Cosmos, Gaia, and Tarot as they are a very much a part of us. We are an extension of the world we live in and on not separate from it and we must all remember this and do our part to the world a better place.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is “IX The Hermit: To fully understand something, sometimes you must escape it. Gaining perspective. Solitude. Study" with a little hint coming from the “Guide of Cups: Messages from your heart. Altruism.”
Sleep can be a form of meditation as can be our dreams. Oftentimes, if we pay attention to our dreams and even our feelings enlightenment can occur and can occur in the most unusual of forms or ways. I do my best to find silence and silent moments in my life where I can simply be, to simply be disconnected from all external stimuli so I can go into my centre, our centre, the centre of the cosmos, of all that is, was, and ever will be and be if only for an instant all that I can be in this life and pull a little bit of back out with me so I can be a more positive influence in the world.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 4 of Swords and the 4 of Wands
Monday, January 26th, 2015. The weekend started and ended well however it was not long enough for me to accomplish everything I set out and hoped to do. However, I must simply enjoy the pursuit of my model railroad hobby and allow my new website and proposed new career to take shape at the right pace and blossom at the most appropriate time.
My pursuits of both has been enhanced with a new purchase, a "Table-Mate", a table that slides to me and under the chair I'm sitting on. I was looking for something simple and compact so I can easily put it away and have it "out of sight and out of mind". Since I reconfigured my crafting table into a model railroad layout table I have no work surface nor desk on which to work so this purchase was somewhat essential and made sense. My new laptop sits on it very nicely as do my magazines and other reading materials. I'll be doing model building work on it in the near future and I see it working very well for this too! I need to build structures and other things for my model railroad so I need a nice surface on which to work.
I slept well until I awoke before the alarm. We were up late both Friday and Saturday nights and slept in both Saturday and Sunday but all is well. Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Swords: Napping Between Rehearsals. Resting and gathering strength for the next phase. A vacation or “time out”" with a little seasoning added by the “4 of Wands: Setting the Stage. Opening night finally arrives. A venture has been established. Celebrating initial achievements."
Rest and celebration are the messages of the day even at this late time in the day. We need to move in our lives but there is always a need for rest and celebration of what we've achieved no matter how small such achievements may be and they may be bigger than you think.
Each day is a celebration of sorts and each day should have moments of rest and relaxation built into them. Take time to notice the small stuff once in a while and make time to cherish those a-ha moments that come around. They may not be "big" in terms of the larger picture however they may very well be the piece that holds everything together or gets us through a roadblock we could not see our way around.
By the way, take a moment to check out wizardoron.ca and let me know what you think.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The Youth of Swords with a Slight Influence from the Man of Wands
Sunday, January 25th, 2015. We relaxed most of yesterday morning before going out to run a few errands. By the time we were finished running around and back home it was 6:30pm. Not too bad considering we left around 1:30pm. Then the evening was spent doing a whole lot of nothing but not really as I was doing a bit of research online for some more model railroad supplies as well as play around with my model railroad layout and flip through model railroad magazines. Surprisingly we stayed up much later than or usual bedtime, our second night in a row. I think I crawled into bed around midnight and was able to arise at 7:00am and get another good workout in.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “Youth of Swords: Curiosity. Research. Computers, e-mail. Immature communication. Spying (or "hacking")” with an a slight appearance coming from the “Man of Wands: Someone who likes problems, and/or thrives on unstable or dangerous situations. “The Establishment”. Keeping the peace.”
As we put our curiosity to good use we can research and study things of interest to us especially in relation to and the achievement of our goals and passions. The more we learn the better able we are to propel ourselves forward in the directions we wish to go. Knowledge and skill can go a long way in helping us reach and attain our goals and desires but we must put all of this into action and use the knowledge and skills we learn build upon and improve our lives and life situations.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

XXI The World, the 4 of Wands, and the 8 of Wands
Saturday, January 24th, 2015. A quiet evening at home and then a good night's rest allowed me to awake, sleeping in even until 7:00am, and get myself to the gym just after 7:30. My workout was slower and a bit more trying and tiring but to be expected after almost a two week absence. However, it also felt wonderful to get my muscles working out again.
Thank You Spirit.
Today being Saturday and the Moon moving into Aries today we are presented with: "longevity, exorcism, endings, homes, and houses" along with a time that is "good for starting things, but lacks staying power; things occur rapidly but quickly pass; people tend to be argumentative and assertive".
Spirit Is and today we have three Tarot Card visit -- “XXI The World: Life can be a heavy burden or a joyful one, it is mostly up to you. Transcending your circumstances by changing them or accepting what can’t be changed" with further suggestions from “4 of Wands: Setting the Stage. Opening night finally arrives. A venture has been established. Celebrating initial achievements" and the “8 of Wands: Movement. Everything is falling into place. People or circumstances are aligning to facilitate the achievement of your goals. Matters are rapidly reaching a conclusion. A group combines their energies while maintaining individuality.”
We must remember that we are a part of this world and not separate from it, that the sacred circle of the elements exists with all f us and we have the spirit, energy and guidance of not Gaia but the whole cosmos within ourselves. As much as we are individuals we are also a part of the whole and it is through this understanding and state of being where we can accomplish much if we allow it and ourselves to simply "be".

XII The Hanged Man and XI Strength
Friday, January 23rd, 2015. Another day closer to the elusive weekend. Last night was another quiet evening at home as is tonight. I slept well until about 5:30am and decided to get up and get started with the day. Last night was an early night and an enjoyable evening of dabbling a little bit in my model railroad.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is “XII The Hanged Man: Living in the moment. Being fully absorbed in the present. Nonattachment to goals. Seeing things from a new angle" with further elaboration coming from “XI Strength: Directing your passions, rather than suppressing them, is the key. Finding healthy outlets for powerful energies.”
Living in the here and now and focusing on the moment is our best way to move forward. Developing and working toward goals is a good way to set things in motion and get anything under way however there may be also a time where we have to step back and let things be. Plant the seed and let our goals grow.
Then we can go further by focusing our energies on areas of interest and passion, releasing our energy where it will do us the most good. Our restlessness often comes from lack of focus and direction, unfulfilled minds, spirits, and goals. Get to know yourself by pulling away from the busyness of your life and spending time with yourself and your own thoughts.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The Youth of Coins and a Little Visit from the 4 of Wands
Thursday, January 22, 2015. I'm doing my best to rest not only my body but my mind as well as it's been a crazy and busy start to the new year at work. It started a late in December but it was more controlled it seemed than what I am and what the company is experiencing this year. The cold is finally releasing its grip and I'm well on my way to leaving it behind me. Thank You Spirit.
Last night was another quiet evening at home as is tonight. I'm leaving my return to the gym for the weekend where I will hopefully be able to get right back into my usual workout without too much trouble. I'll go early in the morning as I usually do on the weekends and do my best.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “Youth of Coins: Focusing on the physical. Beginning a regimen. Matters relating to nutrition and exercise" with a little bit coming from the “4 of Wands: Setting the Stage. Opening night finally arrives. A venture has been established. Celebrating initial achievements."
As I contemplate today's Tarot I think about my connection to the earth and how much more I wish to embrace and enhance this connection. I'm enamoured with nature, with the stunning geography and the wonderful works of art that were created by divine forces that lie much beyond our imagination yet can be experienced through Spirit and much meditation.
Getting back in the gym is also top of mind as is maintaining a healthy and well-balanced diet especially during the hectic pace and times we are going through at work. Exercise, wholesome food, and plenty of rest should be priorities in our lives. We need to keep physically healthy as much as we keep our spiritually healthy through meditation, communion with Spirit and nature, as well as guidance from spiritual guides and/or Tarot, and also through healthy and balanced auras and chakras.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 10 of Wands and the 9 of Swords
Wednesday, January 21st, 2015. Last night was another quiet evening at home as I worked an extra hour at work so by the time I arrived home I was pretty much ready for bed. The company is in a period of transition and we're dealing with a couple of new hires and I've been tasked to take up many new responsibilities and am wearing many hats and fulfilling many different roles during this time.
I slept very well last night and almost fell back to sleep after turning off the alarm. I had to make a real effort to pull myself out of bed and get on with the day.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Wands: The Burden. Responsibilities. Obligations. Overcommitting yourself. Realizing that burdens are a part of life” with some contrast being offered up by the “9 of Swords: Unquiet Dreams. Stress. Worries. Mental tapes which play over and over.”
The “10 of Wands" has given me pause for thought and it is readily apparent why I'm seeing this card today. I'm not only being tasked with new roles and responsibilities at work but I'm also being entrusted and trusted to do them well and represent the company to the highest degree possible.
If you're feeling overwhelmed by a new role and/or new responsibilities find the time to take a step back and see that you should have confidence in yourself and your abilities to fulfill this new role and carry out your responsibilities the best way possible. You, we have it in us to get the job done and do them well so let's put a smile of on our faces and take on these new roles with much humility and a high dose good humour.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 7 of Coins Being Challenged by the 10 of Swords
Tuesday, January 20th, 2015. We had another quiet evening at home. I sat and rested as this cold I've been battling came back stronger yesterday. My weekend of recovery disappeared. So last night when I arrived home from work I made myself a nice hot cup of tea and nursed it down as we watched the local evening news. We had leftovers for dinner--steak and kidney pie. We picked it up from Meridian Meats in White Rock. It's a decent pie, not my favourite savory pie but I'd eat it again.
I awoke before the alarm but dozed off and on as I gave thanks for the blessings in my life and communed with Spirit. Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “7 of Coins: Chores. Resting after a job well done. Contemplating life's cycles and changes. Planning your next move. Clearing out what's unnecessary in your life to make way for something new” with opposition coming from the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script. You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one. The end of a bad situation. Hysterical overreaction."
I'm doing my best to reflect on my achievements as well as what is and what is not working for me at the moment. It's tough work as it tasks me with being brutally honest with what I've achieved, where I am, what more I wish to achieve and where more I want to go in and with my life. One thing I've done is try not to see things I do as "chores". Instead, I'm trying to appreciate and understand them to be educational and spiritual experiences and reflections. This has helped a lot.
I'm also now that I think about approaching all of my work tasks in a very positive light and do my best to go into every situation with a smile on my face and in my heart. I must remember as I just did to approach people on a spiritual level more than a human level--Namaste.
Life is about growing, evolving and becoming better than we think we can be and the best way to do this is by giving ourselves a chance, patting ourselves on the back when do something right, and by living independent of others advice, thoughts, and opinions. Let's be responsible and accountable to ourselves and the guiding light of Spirit and we shouldn't go wrong.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 4 of Wands and II The Intuitive
Monday, January 19th, 2015. The lazy weekend has come to an end. We did do things but nothing all that strenuous. I baked yesterday and I absolutely love our Kitchen Aid Mixer. What a pleasure it is to bake now. I had a great time baking a cranberry cake.
The evening was relaxing and not much happened other than struggling to stay awake. We crawled into bed around 10:30pm. I slept well for the most part but I think I awoke about 45 minutes before the alarm and I felt it all day. Lost sleep is not usually a big deal however today I'm tired but will get back into the groove tomorrow by heading to the gym after work.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Wands: Setting the Stage. Opening night finally arrives. A venture has been established. Celebrating initial achievements" with some added element coming from “II The Intuitive: To be true to oneself, one must know oneself. Looking within for answers. Meditation. Intuition. Exploring that which is normally hidden.”
The weekend was a celebration of friendship, love, and appreciation for all that I have in my life including a new website. I've got it running "live" although it's not fully functional yet but I wanted to get it going so I can get going even I'm only taking baby steps. I'm transitioning from one website to another, from one that dealt with handmade cards to one now that deals with spirituality-tarot cards, chakras, and coaching.
And now I'm discovering a few new things I can tweak on the website through paying attention to a bit of intuition that is running through my mind. Very Cool!
The “4 of Wands" along with “II The Intuitive" are letting us know that we can celebrate our initial achievements as well as trust in ourselves and our abilities to take us to where each of us want to go. The biggest reason to celebrate should be the fact that each of us has discovered who we really are and are now tapping into all the resources opened up to us as we were being brutally honest with ourselves and made the changes necessary to toss out the old and bring in the new.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 7 of Wands and XI Strength
Sunday, January 18, 2015. We made plans to meet up with a friend yesterday and celebrate our friendship with an afternoon dinner followed by dinner and soon our relaxing and lazy morning disappeared and it was time to get going. The movie of choice is "The Birdman", oops...all the times were sold out.
What to do.
We took advantage of the dry weather and went for a walk around the Kitsilano neighbourhood and stopped in for a tea at David's Tea. We enjoyed our teas as we chatted about this, that, and the next thing before window shopping along 4th Avenue wasting tome as our dinner reservation was still an hour away--we changed it from 7 to 6 as we thought about doing something after dinner.
Dinner was good and we followed that up an hour or so later with dessert at another establishment after a quick stop at the grocer for our weekly grocery run. Dessert was quick and delicious then it was off to home.
We dropped our friend off and then headed home.
Today we are planning another lazy day at home, not so much in that we will just sit around doing nothing but in that we have no plans or desires to go anywhere or do anything other than stay at home doing our won things. I'll be baking a cake and some no sugar added breakfast bars for myself. If I'm really energetic maybe I'll make the quick and easy peanut butter cookies someone is desiring.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “7 of Wands: Fighting the wind. A Quixotic struggle. Winning against the odds. Confrontation" with further guidance from “XI Strength: Directing your passions, rather than suppressing them, is the key. Finding healthy outlets for powerful energies.”
I don't necessarily say that it's so much as winning against the odds as it is about gaining an understanding about life and our place within it and how best it is to move through living it. The more we tap into our true selves, our true nature, the better able we are to navigate through the complexities of daily living. Especially in dealing with our fellow human beings.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 7 of Coins and XVII The Star
Saturday, January 17th, 2015. Thank goodness yesterday was Friday and that I survived the week. The week started off in a panic and was a somewhat stressful one right to the end. As I unwound during the evening doing a whole lot of nothing the stress melted away and the more relaxed I became. The only hiccup being a severe case of heartburn and the pushing away of my plate during dinner. We were in bed before 11:00pm and although I awoke just after 6:00am I soon found myself fast asleep on the sofa and upon opening my eyes after what I perceived o be only minutes, I discovered that I slept or "rested my eyes" for over an hour.
Thank You Spirit.
It's a lazy morning as I'm still in my pajamas but Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “7 of Coins: Chores. Resting after a job well done. Contemplating life's cycles and changes. Planning your next move. Clearing out what's unnecessary in your life to make way for something new” with much support and further guidance from “XVII The Star: Spirit is Real. Hope. Serenity. Clarity. Having faith in an underlying or overlying spirit. A dream becomes real.”
Chores are not necessarily a bad thing and with a bit of thought and foresight can be great learning experiences and very beneficial to the heart and spirit of our being. With some chores a certain degree of skills may be required and as we about certain chores perhaps we can gain insight s to we might use such skills to better ourselves and our lives.
With “XVII The Star" also being present today I see that we are the right path for the realization of our innermost dreams. If e understand and appreciate that we are all a part of the fabric of life and thus interconnected with one another the better our chances of success as we go about our lives. The power, strength, and Spirit of the universe dwells within all of us and is there to guide us if we dare to believe and take the next steps to move ahead with our lives.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 10 and 8 of Coins
Friday, January 16th, 2015. I slept very well last night and then I awoke and knew in an instant the it was almost time to awake and that the alarm would sound at any moment.. I really wanted nothing more than to stay in bed and fall back to sleep but work, the job and another busy day were calling my name.
Last night I couldn't do much more than sit on the sofa and read a little bit but even that seemed like too much for me to do. And sooner than I realized I was falling asleep, the night evening drifted on by and we crawled into bed around 10:40pm.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Coins: History. A knowledge of and appreciation for history. Seeing your concerns in a larger context. Seeing your life as a story; who is the author" with added support from the “8 of Coins: The Factory. Skill and mastery. Tedious, repetitive labour. Slow and methodical progress."
If I put my mind to it, if we all put our minds to it we can put our very own stamp on our very own lives. We can and we should take control of our own lives and take responsibility for and be accountable for we are, mostly accountable to ourselves, our true selves. Take a long hard look at yourself in the mirror and find yourself.
It might take a lot of hard work but we'll all be the better for it. We need to develop the skill and mastery necessary to keep our individuality and overcome the trap of giving up control of our lives to those around us as well as greater society as a whole.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 6 of Cups and the 3 of Wands
Thursday, January 15th, 2015. I had a decent night's sleep until I awoke and looked at the clock and saw that it was 5:39am so I just closed my eyes and hoped for the best. Didn't fall asleep but was certainly filled with Spirit.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “6 of Cups: Happy Birthday. Fond memories. A gift given in friendship or love" with a little assistance from the “3 of Wands: Leaving the nest. Seeing progress. Something or someone you have nurtured must now strike out on their own.”
A certain sense of calm has set in as has a certain sense of understanding and knowing with a strong dose of faith thrown in there too! I'm getting into the groove of my new role at work as well as the tasks I'm undertaking this week. It's slow progress but I'm wanting to get stronger and more confident with the responsibilities given to me and want to be more supportive where I can be as I'm confided in regarding the new direction the company will be taking this year.
Connections are being made and the stars are aligning where they need to be so I can move forward in a more positive, loving and understanding way. This is good thing and I'm glad that I'm becoming more aware of and appreciative of the influence of Spirit in my life.
Thank You Spirit.

The Youth and Guide of Coins
Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Another night of fairly decent sleep but awaking feeling a bit stressed about the impending work day ahead. I've been thrown out of my comfort zone by doing work that I've only done through accompanying another co-worker as they go about their daily routines. I'm surviving though and this is a good thing. So awake to the day and get on with doing what is expected of me at the job knowing full well that I am working toward a certain independence and self-responsibility.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “Youth of Coins: Focusing on the physical. Beginning a regimen. Matters relating to nutrition and exercise" with support from the “Guide of Coins: Seeing the magic in the mundane. Spiritual fulfillment from nature. Finding joy in the ordinary.”
I've skipped the gym this week as I'm tired and battling a cold that is hanging on and not willing to let go as of yet. I should get to the gym tomorrow and hit the gym again on the weekend. Exercise is a nice way to work out the stress and worry of the day and also a great way to start the day. Additionally, it helps keep us balanced and in good enough physical condition to deal with the what some people refer to as the daily grind of life.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 5 of Cups and the 8 of Wands
Tuesday, January 13th, 2015. My role at work has changed this week as a co-worker called in sick for the entire week. So I've been sharing the responsibilities of this co-worker with another. Last week I was in charge and thought I could relax upon the return of the owners but no such luck. But overall, I'm enjoying the change of pace. I'm just a little apprehensive as I'm going in blind, so-to-speak as I've never dealt with these responsibilities on my own. I'm out on the road making deliveries and doing some service as needed.
Last night I rested fairly well however I also awoke a few times and was on and off in a semi-conscious state most of the night. The cold I have comes and goes, if you will. as there are moments where I feel great and others where I'm coughing non-stop or my sinuses never shut off. Ugh!
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “5 of Coins: Hard Times. Material difficulties. Lack of money. People in adversity helping each other" with a little challenge from the “8 of Wands: Movement. Everything is falling into place. People or circumstances are aligning to facilitate the achievement of your goals. Matters are rapidly reaching a conclusion. A group combines their energies while maintaining individuality.”
One thing about this "5 of Coins" definition is that it does not reflect that there is also reason to be hopeful as the image on the card does indeed capture three broken cups on the floor but seemingly forgets about the two unbroken cups on the counter behind the sad faced individual who's only focus is on the broken cups before him. Strength of spirit, a genuine understanding of life and of the universe helps us overcome and work through many of life's hardships and adversities. Life is challenging but our spirits are strong and able to carry on.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The Sage of Coins with a Little Help from the Youth of Cups
Monday, January 12th, 2015. Ahhh...another work day to awake to. I did not want to get out of bed and instead simply roll over and fall back to sleep. The cold I'm dealing with has returned full force and I was feeling it throughout the day. Surprising as last night I was feeling pretty good and had a very relaxing evening puttering around and simply browsing my model railroad magazines.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is “Sage of Coins: Working with resources rather than trying to control them. A mature appreciation of the natural world. Patience" with allusions to more from the “Youth of Cups: Youthful emotions. Daydreaming. Shyness.”
Nature calls out to me every waking moment. I love the closeness I tend to have with nature when I least think about and let it be...nature comes to me. I'd love to have a primary home in the forest somewhere that I can retreat every now and then and recharge my batteries so-to-speak. A home in the woods and an recreational vehicle to take me to new areas of nature to explore. Realistically though, I simply need to get out and keep in touch with the nature that is almost out my back door.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 8 of Coins and the 3 of Swords
Sunday, January 11th, 2015. We ran a few errands yesterday and also renewed our conversation and planning for replacing our kitchen cabinets, doors, countertops, sink, and taps. We did some preliminary work last fall but decided to hold off until the new year as we replaced the washer and dryer as installed a new laundry storage. Our errands were picking up some model railroad supplies as well as doing our weekly grocery run and picking up other incidentals. The remainder of the day was made up of reading, relaxing, and playing around with my model railroad layout.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “8 of Coins: The Factory. Skill and mastery. Tedious, repetitive labour. Slow and methodical progress" with challenges coming from the “3 of Swords: The Wreckage. Feeling heavy-hearted after an emotional storm. Feeling hurt or betrayed."
As I delve more into the world of spirit and tarot as well as the building of my model railroad I'm being challenged to develop new skills, become more self-disciplined and patient as well as learn how to persevere when things don't go right or fall into place as I expect them to. Furthermore, I'm also being called upon as we all are to call upon the divine to bless our efforts and the energy we put into our efforts.
Namaste.
Thank You Spirit.

The 2 of Swords with Guidance from VIII Justice
Saturday, January 10th, 2015. Had another quiet evening at home. Simply sat and relaxed doing a whole lot of nothing. Tossed around ideas for my model railroad layout as well as the new website I'll be launching very soon. I'm doing my best to focus my energies on a couple of different things instead of fracturing my energies by trying to partake in my many and varied interests.
So for now Wizard Oron and my very N-Scale Model Railroad Empire will be my two main focal points moving forward. A new career and a long loved hobby. Oh, and I'm going to learn Spanish this year too! I'm going to try and tie-in learning Spanish through my study of Tarot and the building o my model railroad empire. A good way to entice myself to learn a second language.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “2 of Swords: Meditation. Closing your eyes to outer circumstances in order to gain perspective or to avoid a decision. Refusing to act" with further guidance provided by “VIII Justice: Even today, gays can be the victims of “justice”. An unfair judgment. Being too judgemental or righteous. Feeling restricted by others’ expectations.”
Choices, partnerships, contemplation...we need to focus our energies on making a choice, choosing between options, weighing the pros and cons of each choice and making that fateful decision. This is best done by focusing on the choice and relevant information that can best guide us to making the most educated decision based on what lies before us. Let's close our eyes to the outside noise and those who want to help or simply make the choice for us for we alone must make this choice and be accountable and responsible for the decision. The time for fence sitting has come to an end. Make a leap faith, if you will for our faith should be based on experience more than anything else.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.
The 4 of Coins and the 6 of Swords
Friday, January 9th, 2014. I slept very soundly last night and this is likely from not sleeping very well the previous four or five days or the new over the counter cold medication I took before bed. Or it's a combination of the two.
Last night was quiet evening. Didn't do a whole heck of a lot, simply relaxed doing a whole lot of nothing and reserve my energy reserves so I can get over this cold sooner rather than later.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Coins: The Lighting Director. A position of power. Wanting to control how others perceive things" and is being challenged by the “6 of Swords: Peaceful Recovery. Serenity and the passage of time help to heal wounds. Stormy emotions are given time to subside, allowing a plan for a solution.”
Patience and faith based on past experiences should guide us as we embrace each welcoming new day. There is no need to hold on so tightly that we close ourselves off to new opportunities and experiences. What are we holding onto so tightly and why are we doing this? We all to embrace life, live it fully and actively, and know that we are living our lives the best way we know how always understanding that there is also always room for improvement.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 10 of Cups and the Youth of Cups
Thursday, January 8th, 2015. I sometimes keep myself awake with worries and worried thinking and last night was one those nights where I lay awake thinking about what I did wrong, what I should have done and what more that could possibly go or be wrong when the bosses are way. I likely lost about two hours of sleep and more because I miss out on that essential REM sleep that is so vitally important to getting a good night's rest. Ugh!
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Cups: The Ideal. Your secret dreams. Attainment. Unrealistic, wishful thinking" with further enlightenment through the “Youth of Cups: Youthful emotions. Daydreaming. Shyness.”
Happiness is a great part of life that we often pursue each and every day of our lives however at times our pursuit of happiness may blind us from seeing or experiencing life in its truest form. We need to be honest and realistic with ourselves and be a state of happiness more than the pursuer of happiness as happiness is a state of mind more than anything else.
The achievement of our desires can only come about by each of being realistic about them but also knowing that sometimes anything is possible. So guard against wishful thinking but always try to achieve what you desire. Action and cooperation are required on our part as we work toward our goals in harmony with the universe around us.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The Youth of Swords and XIII Death
Wednesday, January 7th, 2015. Another interrupted night of sleep having to battle this cough and cold. As bedtime approaches I start to cough and wheeze and battle getting the phlegm out of my throat. This occurs for about fifteen or o minutes then I fall asleep. However, it can happen again if I awake for any period of time. I get out of bed and do my best to cough as silently as I can. Then the alarm goes off something I usually hear no problem, however this morning it took me awhile to register that the alarm was sounding. At least I heard it.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “Youth of Swords: Curiosity. Research. Computers, e-mail. Immature communication. Spying (or "hacking")” with further clarification from “XIII Death: Endings are beginnings. A phase of life is over. Allowing time to mourn. A part of yourself has outlived its usefulness.”
I have what it takes to face the music so-to-speak and let things go that are no longer serving me well. One such item unfortunately, is my old 1988 RV. Time to give it up and move on. Chalk this whole affair up to an expensive learning experience and get on with focusing on today, the present and live my life in the here and now. I close one door behind me and a new one opens up before me.
I'm still young enough to focus on today and do what I need to build and maintain a solid foundation for myself and my partner and work on creating the freedom in my life, in our lives to travel more freely and explore the rich nature of North America by road, now and into the future.
Use our youthfulness as much of it as we have or hold onto to move forward in life as positively as we can. In terms of the "spying" referred to with the appearance of the “Youth of Swords" let's use this as an indicator that we should spy into our own futures through meditation and understanding of who we are, where we've been and where we're going based on our actions both past and present. We can also make changes by being accountable and responsible for our actions and being aware of the consequences that can result from them.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 3 of Swords and XIX The Sun
Tuesday, January 6th, 2015. Colds often create sleepless nights and last night was no different. I awoke often battling congestion and finding a comfortable way to sleep and breathe comfortably at the same time. My throat was dry and sore yet clogged with the mucous running from my sinuses--ugh!
The alarm sounded much too early and it felt way too early to have to get out of bed however another work day was ahead of me so out of bed I crawled. It'll only get better!
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “3 of Swords: The Wreckage. Feeling heavy-hearted after an emotional storm. Feeling hurt or betrayed" with further clarification from “XIX The Sun: The best moments in life are rooted in the ordinary. Contentment. Optimism. Ordinariness. Satisfaction from a job well done. Familiarity.”
For me the emotional wreckage in a way was at work dealing with an employee. Here at home nothing of the sort comes to mind. I could though, be kinder, gentler, and softer in my language I use at home. So I do have something to learn from this card as well as the reminder from "XIX The Sun" where my true satisfaction comes from.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 3 of Cups and III The Protector
Monday, January 5th, 2015. Last night was a near sleepless night as I awoke so often that I felt I hardly slept a wink. However, I did get some sleep and although I desired to stay in bed I was up and out of bed lickety-split.
I'm more into praying these days, praying in the sense of showing my appreciation for and thankful to the goddess and god for the gift of life yet another day. I do my best to give thanks for the many blessings I have--a comfortable home, heat, running water, plenty of food, living in peaceful and democratic society, being employed, and living in a loving relationship.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “3 of Cups: A Good Time. Happy, comfortable times together. Quiet enjoyment. Celebration" and providing much support is “III The Protector: Nurturing others is good practice for nurturing oneself. Parental instincts. Maintaining a home or a positive environment. Bringing a project to fruition."
As I thought about these visiting Tarot Cards it came upon me that these cards signify that I'm being provided with the comfort and securities of home by a loving partner that also protects me in many ways by being my mentor and providing me many a time with a good dose of sober second thought.
In fact I do believe that we do this very often for one another--being very good and very loving support mechanisms especially when we each need such support the most.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

II The Intuitive and the Full Moon
Sunday, January 4th, 2015. Since our area was under a winter storm warming last evening we decided to head out early and do our weekly grocery run and get any other errands out of the way. One of the errands was to get a few more items so I could convert my crafting table into a model railroad layout table and storage cupboard. So I spent about six hours deconstructing one and constructing another. It now stands mostly finished and simply needs a few details added here and there. As for the threat of snow we haven't seen any in our neighbourhood.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is “II The Intuitive: To be true to oneself, one must know oneself. Looking within for answers. Meditation. Intuition. Exploring that which is normally hidden.”
Action is borne out of deep thought and understanding that comes about through a deep connection and relationship with Spirit. Our creativity is also bolstered by intense meditation and an opening of ourselves to the creative forces of the universe. Is it a time to act? Your answer lies within you. Close your eyes and open up your spirit and find the answer you seek within you, where it has always been.
A full moon is upon us so let us harness the power being offered to us to bring about positive action and change in our own little worlds and may this reverberate throughout the planet where it can do the same for others.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 10 of Swords and V The Priest
Saturday, January 3rd, 2015. Yesterday was an awfully long work day but one where my roles and responsibilities at work have expanded and grown tremendously. I do not mind taken on these on however I'd like to have a better outline and understanding of what is expected of me. Information given in a piecemeal fashion is difficult to comprehend and understand is at is so fluid and changes constantly. I'll do my best to manage.
I've also come down with a cold. I hate colds especially when they interfere so much with my breathing--congestion and a stuffed up nose make me pretty darned miserable but I'll get through and over this soon enough.
Having a cold brought about a very quiet evening and an early bedtime that I truly appreciated as I did awake a few times throughout the night.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script. You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one. The end of a bad situation. Hysterical overreaction" with further clarification from “V The Priest: The best way to help others is to help them make their own decisions. Wisdom. Advice. A ceremony or ritual.”
I choose the loving guidance and love of Spirit to take on my new roles and responsibilities as well as to steer me away from and clear of negative thoughts and thinking patterns. I grasp hold of my hidden talents and bring them into the light of day so that I can fulfill my new roles and responsibilities with my spiritual gifts of an open mind, objectivity, strength, honour, and the courage to move ahead when more is expected of me.
Thank You Spirit.
Let's not let the apparent burdens in our lives get us or weigh us down. Choose the loving light and guidance of Spirit to see you through. Grasp hold of the strength and courage that resides within you to overcome and rise above what is holding you down, likely of your own doing. Face the music as the saying goes and choose for yourself a new path that brings you out of the mud ad mire you've gotten yourself into and rise above it all as Spirit guides you onto your new path.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 5 of Wands and the Ace of Cups
Friday, January 2nd, 2015. The night provided a good night's sleep however the alarm sounded much earlier than I anticipated or wanted it too! Even though, it was set for the usual time of 6:00am. The first day of the year was a relatively quiet one. We cleaned up from the New Years Eve celebrations and met a couple of friends for brunch. Oh, I picked up some lumber for my model railroad layout table then we lounged away the rest of the afternoon and evening.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “5 of Wands: The Hockey Game. The project meets resistance. Testing one’s ideas against others. An enjoyable struggle. Competition in the marketplace" with a bit of a bump provided by the “Ace of Cups: A gift of love. The beginning of a love affair, friendship, or partnership.”
Be wary of distractions especially distraction from others. Perhaps, it is best to find the humour in the situation so you can refocus your energies on the passions and goals at hand. It is vitally important to see yourself through to the achievement of your goals. Do not let distraction lead to frustration and especially not anger. Rise above the fray, hold your head high and let out one heck of good and very loud laugh.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

XV Self-Hatred and XI Strength and Happy New Year!
Thursday, January 1st, 2015. HAPPY NEW YEAR! May 2015 bring us all a much brighter, more peaceful, and more loving planet.
We spent the day yesterday cleaning and preparing for the evening's festivities. It was super nice to have the day off to clean and make dinner for all the guests that were in attendance last night.
We prepared ham and lasagne and picked up a prepared super kale salad from the grocery store. Appetizers brought by our guests were a tortilla/frittata, spinach dip with pumpernickel bread, a shrimp ring, and bruschetta. For dessert a couple of our guests made pies. We had apple, a raspberry tart, and chocolate pecan--all of which were very delicious.
As 2014 gave way to 2015, we popped three bottles of bubbly for the ten of us and as toasted and rang in this new year we hugged and kissed and wished each other "Happy New Year". Then as the morning ticked along, our guests slowly departed and made their way home. We slipped into bed around 2:00am. What a great evening we had.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is “XV Self-Hatred: The trap to avoid for all minorities. Unconsciously accepting societal norms. Low self-esteem" with support and much clarification from “XI Strength: Directing your passions, rather than suppressing them, is the key. Finding healthy outlets for powerful energies.”
These two cards have awoken within in the desire to spend more time and effort in researching and studying Tarot as well as making more time for my spirituality and spiritual endeavours. Tarot is very much a part of the fabric of my being. Tarot courses through my veins and is a part of every atom of my being and a working and educational spiritual life is my new state of being.
May 2015 allow us all to be the "original's" that we are. Let's all strive to display our uniqueness to the world and change the world one day at a time, change it by changing ourselves and becoming the change that we desire. May 2015 be year of peace and love.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.
