The "Man of Wands" and Having A Nose For Spotting Trouble

Winter has returned to the metro Vancouver region in the form of snow.  I thought that we were quite done with the snow but Mother Nature says otherwise.  Incoherent memories of my dreams are all that I have this morning although a few ideas and thoughts that I'm having this morning take me back to my night of sleep so perhaps my memories are not so incoherent after all.  Nothing I want write about at the moment as they are still unravelling in my mind.

Spirit Is and today's Gay Tarot Energy is “Man of Wands: Someone who likes problems, and/or thrives on unstable or dangerous situations. “The Establishment”.  Keeping the peace.”
My take on the "Man of Wands" today is one of control, authority, seeing things in black and white terms only, and someone who is a bit unyielding in their ways.  And almost someone who goes out of their way to look for trouble or at the very least someone who needs such situations to make their lives feel complete and whole, almost as if this was their purpose in life.

Thank You Spirit.

The Youth of Swords with a Slight Influence from the Man of Wands

Sunday, January 25th, 2015.  We relaxed most of yesterday morning before going out to run a few errands.  By the time we were finished running around and back home it was 6:30pm.  Not too bad considering we left around 1:30pm.  Then the evening was spent doing a whole lot of nothing but not really as I was doing a bit of research online for some more model railroad supplies as well as play around with my model railroad layout and flip through model railroad magazines.  Surprisingly we stayed up much later than or usual bedtime, our second night in a row. I think I crawled into bed around midnight and was able to arise at 7:00am and get another good workout in.

Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “Youth of Swords: Curiosity.  Research.  Computers, e-mail.  Immature communication.  Spying (or "hacking")” with an a slight appearance coming from the “Man of Wands: Someone who likes problems, and/or thrives on unstable or dangerous situations. “The Establishment”.  Keeping the peace.”

As we put our curiosity to good use we can research and study things of interest to us especially in relation to and the achievement of our goals and passions.  The more we learn the better able we are to propel ourselves forward in the directions we wish to go.  Knowledge and skill can go a long way in helping us reach and attain our goals and desires but we must put all of this into action and use the knowledge and skills we learn build upon and improve our lives and life situations.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The Man of Wands and the 8 of Cups

Yesterday was crappy yet a good day.  Work was lackluster however a holiday dinner with a friend provided a great ending to my day.  I’m in sales so-to-speak, making cold calls in an attempt to book appointments for the sales manager.  Thankless work because they are bit old fashioned in their approach to expanding their business.  I’m trying to work within the constraints of my role and how they want it to be done but it is difficult.  Thankfully, most people I call are friendly and take my call or politely say no.  Also, I’ve pretty much burned through the leads they have for me…so where do I go from here?

Thankfully today is a new day however I mustn’t forget about yesterday’s visiting Tarot Card, the “Man of Wands: Someone who likes problems, and/or thrives on unstable or dangerous situations. “The Establishment”.  Keeping the peace.”

And today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “8 of Cups: Farewell.  Moving on.  Leaving behind a person, a situation, or a part of yourself.”

I need to rediscover that risk-taking, confident side of me that existed when I was younger.  I need to find that can-do attitude and forge ahead in areas that I’m passionate about and fiercely believe in.  I need to find that confidence needed to forge ahead, forge it alone if need be in working for me, myself, and I.  Life is good and worthy of trust and I am g odd person and very capable of supporting myself my own way.  I need to leave doubt and anger, and the old stale parts of me in the past where they belong.  I need to embrace the love and goodwill of the season and move on in life, the way I want to move on...

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

Man of Wands and XIV Temperance

I am Spirit.  This acknowledgement was with me throughout the night even with the weird dreams I was having, almost disturbing dreams had I not seen the symbolism of them.  The dreams were a mirror of two parts of myself, one I like and one I dislike that were transferred to other people in the dream.  This offers me some enlightenment as to how to move forward with my life.  Thank You Spirit.

Yesterday was an early work day that was most welcome.  Ending the day at 4:00pm was perfect for how I was feeling yesterday.  Today and tomorrow are our last two days of enumeration work unless it is decided that we need to extend our work for a few more days.  The last two shifts are splits and so we’ll be working into a couple of hours into the evening.  It has been kind of fun, meeting different types of people, some who treated us like family.  Great experiences.

Last night’s dinner was another hit, pasta and meatballs in tomato sauce.  I do my best to infuse my cooking with lots of love and happiness.

Thank you Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Cards are the “Man of Wands: Someone who likes problems, and/or thrives on unstable or dangerous situations. “The Establishment”.  Keeping the peace.” and “XIV Temperance: Mix things up a little.  Combining separate elements to create something new.  Moderation (not too much of each flavor).  Flexibility.”

The Ma of Wands suddenly reminded me of my brother but then I thought to myself that maybe I’m  more of an “establishment” guy than I want to admit to especially since I almost pride myself in being a real non-conformist.  Mixing things up a little is what I like to do and maybe I need to do more as maybe I’m not mixing things up as much as I should be.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

Weekend Away

May the Spirits be Well.

On Friday we hopped on the ferry for a quick weekend get-a-way to Victoria.  We stayed at the Marriott on Humboldt right near the Inner Harbour, what a great location.  We could walk everywhere.

Shortly after our arrival we found ourselves taking a quick tour of the BC Legislature and then walking into downtown Victoria.  I love the feel of the city.  We eventually had our fill for the first few hours in the city so we headed back to our room to rest a little before freshening up and heading out to dinner.  But on our way back to the hotel we cam across Dark Horse Books, what great little bookstore.  The proprietor really fit the space and energy of her little business.  I wanted to return again before the weekend was out but we never made it back.

On Saturday, we stopped in at Triple Spiral Metaphysical Gifts where I browsed and only walked away with a new 2013 calendar.  This is another great little store with an abundance of beautiful energy and it's location cannot be beat, Fan Tan Alley.

Another place we loved is Murchie's. The place is always busy and seems designed to keep you there for hours on end enjoying your beverage and food of choice and the company you're with.  We spent an hour or more just enjoying the relaxing atmosphere and our time together.

By late Saturday though we were a bit bored and spent a good part of the late afternoon and evening in our room before heading out for dinner and drinks at The Ledge Lounge.

Saturday, November 10th - X The Wheel of Life
Sunday, November 11th - 8 of Cups

These two cards are the perfect reflection of the weekend thus far.  I really felt a desire to just retreat into my own space and just “be” and move on to a new journey in life, just head on down the highway and let the directions I go be decided on a whim.

and today's visiting Tarot Card is the "Man of Wands".

Well I can honestly say that my personal situation is always unstable and when in the RV perhaps dangerous however, “The Establishment” is not something I like to associate myself with but perhaps I’m more “establishment” than I think.  Yuck!

Spirit is.

Blessed Be
