We spent a good portion of our day downtown Vancouver as we left home around 11:00am and didn’t get back until a little past 8:00pm. We wanted to get out and enjoy a bit of the urban landscape and we did. We met up with a friend, had a few drinks, walked along the seawall, went and had more drinks and a bite to eat before parting company and going our separate ways. It was a nice day but I would have much preferred spending the day working on my RV but overall, I somewhat enjoyed myself. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Guide of Wands: Feeling possessed by a creative project or inspiration. Being inspired to help others. Doing what’s right.” I feel a need to move on with my life and even feel a need to change my favourite craft from making handmade or handcrafted cards to working with wools and yarns, and maybe throwing a few beads in there somewhere.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

XIII Death, It's Time to Move On!
It’s time to move on. This phrase fills my mind this morning after I spent the half the night worrying about whether or not I can live out my dreams and passions and wondered if I was just wasting my time trying to pursue such fanciful dreams. I want to be the author of and to write my own life’s story but the road is a new and tough one for me and I’m having difficulty seeing anything over and beyond the steep hill I now find myself climbing.
Perhaps, “It’s time to move on.” is the answer.
We spent the better of the day yesterday with our friends and neighbours—having brunch with them, going on a nice walk around Sasamat Lake, then following to and fro as the skipped off store to store returning some items they did not need. Brunch at the 6th Street Grill was okay, the walk was fabulous, and the hop, skip, and jump from store to store was just something I put up with.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “XIII Death: Endings are beginnings. A phase of life is over. Allowing time to mourn. A part of yourself has outlived its usefulness.” Yes, it’s time to move on. This is the message I am receiving loud and clear today. From my worry and thoughts to the wonderful song of the birds awaking and singing to and about the beautiful morning that is greeting us today.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

VII The Chariot, Strength of Purpose
I awoke this morning with my first thought being about my RV, about wanting to be living in my RV at that very moment. I have not thought a lot about my RV the last while but feel that it is not because it is not important to me but rather because I have the feeling, the sense that living in my RV is a given and it will happen, is happening. Thank You Spirit.
Yesterday was simple day with not much seemingly happening other than going to the gym, going out for a coffee in the afternoon and a whole lot of thought about a whole lot of nothing. Actually, I’ve been thinking about crafting, in particular crafts that involve wool, more precisely yarn and the need to learn and develop my skills of knitting and crocheting. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “VII The Chariot: Among the highs and lows of life, make sure you enjoy the highs. At the top of one's game. Seizing an opportunity. Having everything under control (barely)". I must grasp hold of all of the courage and confidence I can muster and pursuit my passions with strength of purpose and the endurance to complete all that I need to do in order to find the success, to create the life I desire.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

XII The Hanged Man and Spider Symbolism
Yesterday I wanted to write about my Spider Full Moon but got sidetracked and never did fully write about the Spider and the Full Moon. And since I never did that yesterday I want to explore the Spider Full Moon in more depth today and write something about it. Another project for the day on top of doing my taxes and working on yet another new craft project. Will I ever stop expanding my craft projects?
This new project is somewhat fun but I think I still prefer doing this type of craft what I will call the old fashioned way. Won’t spill the beans about what I’m working on yet. I want to see the finished product before I reveal anything more.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Car is “XII The Hanged Man: Living in the moment. Being fully absorbed in the present. Non-attachment to goals. Seeing things from a new angle.”
I’m finding myself appreciating and gaining new insight into my day-to-day life and experiences. Each day is it own now and I am more fully focused on the day I have before me rather than dreaming about the future as I have often done in the past.
From a quick glance at the web here is what I found about Spiders:
“The spider is a spirit animal whose purpose is to inspire you to gain
perspective on an issue or project you contemplate taking on. Feel free to
explore the many facets of the problem you are facing in order to find the
appropriate solution. The power of this animal encourages you to count on your
ability to view things from multiple angles and weave mental and intuitive
flexibility into your daily thinking.” http://www.spiritanimal.info/spider-spirit-animal/
Thank You Spirit for bring Spider into my life and doing so on the morning of the Full Moon, the Spider Full Moon is what came to me as I went out onto the deck yesterday to absorb the great energies of the Moon as did the Spider in her web beside me.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The Spider Full Moon and the Guide of Cups
I was tossing and turning most of the time I laid in bed and I had a hard time finding sleep and seemingly sleep was not washing over me as usual so around 4am I decided to just get up. I’m glad I did as although I knew it was a Full Moon today I did not realize she would be shining so brightly before me as I glanced out the window this morning.
Seeing the Full Moon filled me with joy, happiness and love and I quickly got into action soaking up the Full Moon rays shining down on me. I performed an impromptu Full Moon Ritual blessing all of my Tarot Cards, Wands, Pentacle, Crystals, Crystal Ball, Ritual Robe, Smartphone, two tablets, a laptop, and some of my crafting items. I did this all the while being conscious of the fact that I was sharing not only the Full Moon with a spider but our deck where she took up residence. Oh, and I also bathed in the rays of the Full Moon soaking up her celestial energy being shared with this morning.
Now I understand why I was having a tough time trying to get back to sleep as the clock ticked away. I needed to experience the Full Moon and I’m glad I did. I feel great and as I write this the Moon shines behind me shrouded ever so slightly by the clouds floating across the dark early morning sky.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Guide of Cups: Messages from your heart. Altruism.”
Spirit has reminded me of the importance of my spirituality and my spiritual pursuits and beliefs. As my eyes soaked up the Full Moon hanging in the sky before me my mind cleared and I knew then that I’m heading in the right direction with my life. Spirit has to take more of the centre stage in my life and everything else will fall into place. And this morning is an example of this. I heard and heeded the call of the Full Moon and allowed myself to pulled out of my slumber to experience Spirit first hand under the light of this morning’s glowing celestial globe we call the Moon.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Passions and the 6 of Cups
I think I’m battling a cold and maybe a bit of the flu. My throat is sore, my sinuses are congested, and I kind of feel blah. But I awoke to another beautiful ,day and life is good. I slept through the night and have no recollection of any dreams I may have had. I slept quite well and the night was quite peaceful and relaxing as far as I could tell. At least that is the feeling I have upon awaking.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “6 of Cups: Happy Birthday. Fond memories. A gift given in friendship or love.”
My life is very harmonious right now. Things are just as they should be in this moment, in this place, in this time. Although, I at times think I’m spinning my wheels and going nowhere fast I’m actually accomplishing more than I believe I am. My mind, body, and Spirit are operating more from the same page than they ever have before and I’m slowly progressing toward fulfilling my greatest passions. The Universe is with me.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Nature, Ordinariness and the Guide of Coins
We had a great day yesterday. We met up with a new friend and in the morning before taking the rest of the day for ourselves. I tried my best to relax but have been fervently looking for some old knitting patterns that I thought I had of my Moms but I cannot find them anywhere. I’m hoping that I did not donate them or throw them away. That would be just awful.
I had a great night’s sleep and feel like I had wonderful dreams. I slept with one of my small decks of Tarot Cards under my pillow. One the most relaxing, peaceful, and loving nights I’ve had sleeping in awhile.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Guide of Coins: Seeing the magic in the mundane. Spiritual fulfillment from nature. Finding joy in the ordinary.” I love being amongst nature and feel great when I can get a sense of nature right here in the city, makes the city become more alive. I’ve heard what I think is a bird the last couple of mornings I’ve stepped out onto the deck. I think what I’m hearing is kind of like a simple whistle type sound...I just love hearing it.
Thank You Spirit.

Classical Music, Opera, a Symphonic Choir and the Sage of Cups
I awoke early, before 6am, the morning is dark and I can see that the sky is filled with clouds as the day slowly brightens as night gives way to day.
We had a good yesterday. We cleaned house a little bit, did a quick run to the store to pick up photos and a few other things before day became evening and we headed out for another night on the town. We had a quick and light meal at Cafe Crepe before we took in a performance of Verdi and Wagner performed by the Vancouver Symphony and accompanied by the Vancouver Bach Choir. A wonderful performance by all, two hours of music from two of the worlds greatest composers and writers of opera.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Sage of Cups: Emotional maturity. A good mediator or counselor.” As I read this and take in the image on the card I do not so much see a boxing match as I see a relationship and/or marriage and the love that is required to keep it together and flourishing. A relationship requires good mediation, counsel, and compromise in order to grow, blossom, and bear fruit for the parties concerned. This can also be said of our mind, body, and spirit as well. We need a good balance of attention to all three of these areas in order to live a fulfilling quality of life.
Thank You Spirit.

5 of Swords
I had an enjoyable birthday yesterday. We went out for brunch, a movie (Oz the Great and Powerful), and a little window shopping before returning home relaxing, a little and then going out again for dinner. My brother, Dad and his wife joined us at the Old Bavaria Haus for a nice schnitzel dinner. We then returned home with everybody and had dessert. My brother picked up a small Tuxedo Cake complete my birthday celebrations. The day was bright with sunshine, good times, laughter, and love.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “5 of Swords: The Tennis Game. Being overly competitive. A game which gets out of hand. A pattern of always needing to win, or to lose.” I do not want to win or lose but rather just be. But I guess we have created a society where winning or losing matter and this shouldn’t be so. I just want to live a plain and simple life and give back for all that has been given to me.
Thank You Spirit.

7 of Coins, Chores and a Birthday
Another welcome to the morning by a slightly cloudy day with just a hint of sunshine. We had a fine day and visit with my Dad and his wife and then a great dinner with them as well as with my brother. We will see them again tonight for dinner out to celebrate a birthday...
...mine.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “7 of Coins: Chores. Resting after a job well done. Contemplating life’s cycles and changes. Planning your next move. Clearing out what’s unnecessary to make room for something new.”
Yes, I want to clear away all of my handcrafted card supplies to make way for a more easily stored and out of the way hobby or two like knitting, beading, and mask making. I need something I can do while sitting down, relaxing, and or chatting, or watching television, or a movie or when travelling. Knitting and beading can easily be done with all of those activities. Masking making can probably even be done in the same way.
Also, I need to clear out, cleanse and purify my senses, my spirit, and my mind so that I freely think and be all that I can be by allowing the really me to shine through. I’m ready to be “me”.
Thank You Spirit.

7 of Wands and Knwoing Myself
Awaking to the warm kisses of the many rays of sunshine making their through the windows. A beautiful morning after a stormy night.
Dinner was great last night, just something I made up and my partner executed flawlessly. Thank You. My dreams were strange indeed. In one we awoke to a guy smoking in our short little hallway, if you can call it that, a hallway that is. I took his cigarette away and put out in stream of tap water. He then proceeded to reveal that one of his legs operated via micro electronics in his hip and knee. That dream gave way to one where I was searching for a person or group of people but at the same time trying to avoid people I knew from a church I once attended. I parked, then tried to find the place in a building where a wedding was taking place and where every door had people from the wedding or weddings streaming in and out. I finally found a group of people, the wrong people and a guy commented on the colourful oven mitts I had on my hands. Oven mitts? Then I was taking part in a performance of some kind and I took my place along with what looked like a scooter in a small almost hidden corner that had quite the slant to it. I had a difficult time keeping the prop, the scooter, in place. Dreams sure seem to have a life of their own, don’t they?
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “7 of Wands: Fighting the wind. A quixotic struggle. Winning against the odds. Confrontation.
I do feel like I’m pushing through the wind as I try to get to where I want to be in my life. As I struggle against the odds of me being in charge of my own life instead of stumbling blindly along never knowing where I’m going or where I want to be I feel that I’m making slow but hindered progress none-the-less. Progress that I will continue to struggle making so that my life is indeed my own. I want to break free from the chains of life/society and truly find myself and then get to who I really am. I have a great desire to know and make friends with myself.
Thank You Spirit.

Happy Spring and XVI Revelation
Ostara, the Spring Equinox, the first day of spring, and International Astrology Day. And then it is raining outside, a bit of a stormy day but a loving rain is falling. Look up, hold, your head high, and feel the loving rain fall down from the sky.
My door-to-door enumeration work wraps up today and likely will not extend. We’ve visited every residence at least once, more likely two to three times and will take care of a few straggles today. I think we did very well and have contributed to an improved and much updated voter’s list at least as far as parts of Queensborough are concerned. We have to feel good about that.
Came home after getting soaked in the rain and sending off our enumeration paperwork. Dinner was nothing special, but it was good and the rest of the evening was simply another evening.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “XVI Revelation: While it is usually best to tell the truth about yourself to those who are close to you, it can be a painful experience. A necessary deconstruction of the status quo. Having to tell someone an unwelcome truth. A new idea which upsets others".
I have to be honest with myself about myself and all of my perceived problems and bad luck. Everything in my life stems from me and in saying that I have identified my problem, it is me. Not that my life has been terrible but I’ve had my share of problems and difficulties and have never cast blame on myself and it’s not really a blame game either. I just need to accept the fact that I’ve created a lot of my own problems and the best solution to overcoming them is me. I need to come clean, face the facts, love myself, and move forward.
I read somewhere whether it was magazine, horoscope, in a blog, or on twitter about the need for spiritual retreat and good they are for many people who need a little bit of help in overcoming burdens, especially the burdens of themselves. I think I need to find such a place and book myself in to one. I need a good cleansing from top to bottom and inside and out.
I feel better already.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Man of Wands and XIV Temperance
I am Spirit. This acknowledgement was with me throughout the night even with the weird dreams I was having, almost disturbing dreams had I not seen the symbolism of them. The dreams were a mirror of two parts of myself, one I like and one I dislike that were transferred to other people in the dream. This offers me some enlightenment as to how to move forward with my life. Thank You Spirit.
Yesterday was an early work day that was most welcome. Ending the day at 4:00pm was perfect for how I was feeling yesterday. Today and tomorrow are our last two days of enumeration work unless it is decided that we need to extend our work for a few more days. The last two shifts are splits and so we’ll be working into a couple of hours into the evening. It has been kind of fun, meeting different types of people, some who treated us like family. Great experiences.
Last night’s dinner was another hit, pasta and meatballs in tomato sauce. I do my best to infuse my cooking with lots of love and happiness.
Thank you Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Cards are the “Man of Wands: Someone who likes problems, and/or thrives on unstable or dangerous situations. “The Establishment”. Keeping the peace.” and “XIV Temperance: Mix things up a little. Combining separate elements to create something new. Moderation (not too much of each flavor). Flexibility.”
The Ma of Wands suddenly reminded me of my brother but then I thought to myself that maybe I’m more of an “establishment” guy than I want to admit to especially since I almost pride myself in being a real non-conformist. Mixing things up a little is what I like to do and maybe I need to do more as maybe I’m not mixing things up as much as I should be.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

3 of Cups - Let Love and Compassion Fill the Day
A rainy Monday is welcoming us to the coming work week. For some reason I thought I saw a sunny day forecasted for today however the clouds are dark and rain is pelting the windows. Rain too, is lovely to see.
We spent the day out and about visiting with a friend, having dim sum and then taking in a small production live theatre play. The food was good and the play was well acted however seeming very similar to another play we saw from this same production company last year. We had a bonus for the day though as they did a run through of another play, a monologue. We sat through it but it was very similar to the one we just watched. But for entertainment it was priced right, $10 per person.
My dreams were quite vivid last night and the only one that stands out was about a low flying playing that was circling around a few times before lifting up and then nose diving into a parking lot. The parking lot was in Quesnel, I said Pizza Hut however it’s now a sushi restaurant. I called 911 and then I walked over with people I didn’t know yet seemed to know and as we were walking over to the crash site an old looking fire truck, looked more like an RV drove up to the scene. As we walked by to find my car that appeared to be a plane but a car, that was hovering above ground, silver in colour and the shape of a plane yet car—very confusing. But as we walked by the burning wreckage of the plane, my sister noticed that I became invisible as I walked through the shadow of the wrecked plane. We tested out her idea and sure enough as I walked into the shadow of the burning plane, my body disappeared. Weird!
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “3 of Cups: A Good Time. Happy, comfortable times together. Quiet enjoyment. Celebration.”
I’ll just let this day be and not think too much about how I expect it to unfold. I’m going to do my best to allow this day to simply “be”. Yes, I have and schedule to follow however I want the day to be just as it should be. The day feels like it is already full of love and compassion and the happiness that goes along with them. And looking outside, the clouds are drifting away and the Sun is attempting to make an appearance as the gray clouds give way to blue sky.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Guide of Cups
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Yesterday was a long day even though it was an earlier ending work day. I think working in the pouring rain casts the day as being longer than it really is. However the day’s weather did improve and we even had some sunshine to walk in addition everyone we met for them most part were beyond friendly and very welcoming, welcoming us into their homes and treating us like family.
I came home to company visiting and I guess that made the day seem a little longer to as I have not time to unwind in the comfort of my own home. But, he is a good friend and I did eventually relax and plunk down comfortably into a chair.
We had no plans for dinner so we had dinner out at a place we’ve wanted to go to and that has been recommended by friends. So I clogged my arteries and pickled my live by eating a large serving of poutine and washing it down with a large pint of beer at the Spud Shack. The Spud Shack we read somewhere was deemed to have Vancouver’s best poutine but I must say that it is not for me and I found it to be quite disappointing however, the beer was good. Oh, and so was the fish n chips my partner had. Now I have to spend the next month working this stuff off as well as cleaning out my arteries.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Guide of Cups: Messages from your heart. Altruism.” Loving relationship, roaming the roads in my RV and successful writing, ventriloquism, and crafting came to mind as I was working with the cards. The RV, my RV, especially figured prominently—solar panels on the roof and me sitting in the driver’s seat as my and I rumble on down the highway.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.
And please feel free to leave a comment or two. Would love to hear from and and all readers.
Thank You!

XI Strength
So yesterday was a bit of a damp day and although the paperwork I was carrying from door-to-door did get wet it survived, the many downpours we walked through. The days are long as we split the day in two with a three hour gap between the shifts. By the time I get home, eat, and shower, it’s pretty much bedtime. Only a few more shifts to go and we should be done with enumeration.
Just before awaking I was dreaming about towing a trailer with my RV, or at least thinking about whether or not the RV could handle the extra load. In the end it looks like I got good advice about the RVs engine and ended up towing a small trailer for some reason. Why I’d want to tow a trailer is unknown to me but hey it was only a dream after all. Or was it?
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “XI Strength: Directing your passions, rather than suppressing them, is the key. Finding healthy outlets for powerful energies.”
I must search for and find the key to using the energies I have in very positive ways. I need to find out how to access and use wisely this vast powerhouse of energy in the most uplifting, loving, and constructive ways possible so that I become a better person as well as bring about love, peace, and compassion to my surroundings and the people in my life.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

4 of Wands, Good Food, Great Opera
Yesterday was a fine day in the rain. The day was celebratory and much enjoyed.
Dinner out before the opera was at Rice ‘N Spice at 883 Hamilton Street, Vancouver. We met and chatted with the owner as he prepared our meals. He has a great story to tell about how he ended up in Canada and owning a restaurant. The food was great and we’ll be sure to go back any time we crave Sri Lankan Iranian and Turkish fusion food.
The opera was the Magic Flute, Magic Flute with a twist. This performance is an update from the “Original production conceived with the guidance of First Peoples’ Cultural Council and an advisory group of First Nations artists.” We enjoyed it although hearing an opera in English and hÉ™n̓q̓É™min̓É™m̓ was a new experience for us.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Wands: Setting the Stage. Opening night finally arrives. A venture has been established. Celebrating initial achievements". This serves a gentle reminder that I need to be writing my own story and this needs to be the beginning or continuation of a great venture for me.
Thank You Spirit.

Content with the Ordinary
Happy Birthday to my partner.
Yesterday was a full and tiring day. We did enumeration work in a couple of buildings and that made for a wonderfully dry day but so busy too! More people were home than we expected and those who wanted nothing to do with what we were doing, we simply laughed it off—they had every right to refuse to talk with us. Again getting home, eating and going to bed happens all too fast so I’m looking forward to ending the enumeration work and its split shifts.
Today is a new day and a day off—yay!
The morning so far is dry, roads are damp but the rain is holding off for now but we have more heavy rain in the forecast, lots of moisture coming up from the tropics. Don’t mind the rain all that much except however when it comes to driving or having a night out on the town such as tonight. But we’ve gone through this many times before, heck its Vancouver, got to expect rain.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “XX The Sun: The best moments in life are rooted in the ordinary. Contentment. Optimism. Ordinariness. Satisfaction from a job well done. Familiarity.” I have simple and ordinary life and I’m okay with this. In fact, my life is quite grand really. I’m happy and content with all that I have and all the blessings I’ve received throughout my life and will continue to receive well into the future.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Changing the World
Another blessed day is upon us. Spirit is welcoming us to a new and glorious day. Although the skies may be gray Spirit’s love is always wrapped us. We are in Spirit’s warm and loving embrace, a warm, soft wind gently caresses us we breathe in and awaken our souls with the fresh morning air.
Thank You Spirit.
A quick dinner was had last night, followed by an hour or so of relaxation before giving into the sleepiness that gently prodded us into crawling into bed, slipping under the covers and allowing sleep and Spirit to nurture us in our slumber. The loving rains of yesterday did not dampen my spirit. The rain is no longer a nuisance to me and I kept on with my tasks for the day—enumeration. The day went by quickly and ended well.
Thank you Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Sage of Wands: Wanting to change the world. Changing your environment by winning others over to your viewpoint. Critical acclaim. Politics.”
Yes, this is about conversation, listening, and compromise. Tied into yesterday’s card and one can see that change is and can be real, we just have to get over this need to have winners and losers and be willing to find the middle ground.
Thank You Spirit.

5 of Swords
A very rainy morning, rain that started last evening and will likely continue through the week. The heaviest of the passing rain should end around noon today.
My work days are going okay, we decided to start earlier yesterday and I’m glad we did. Think the shift should not run until 8pm although it may be good to collect completed forms of registered voters it makes the day extremely tiring and yesterday being the first work day after Daylight Savings Time is not a good day to be too tired on the roads.
My partner and I had a wonderful dinner. He threw together a recipe I wanted to try: Zesty Ginger-Tomato Chicken. Yummy! I barely got home and ate dinner it seems and then it was past 11pm. I’ll be glad to have worked through these shifts. Working midday is not kind to me. But I’m happy to be doing this. Thank You Spirit.
I slept well even though the fire alarm and false alarm sounded around midnight or there about.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “5 of Swords: The Tennis Game. Being overly competitive. A game which gets out of hand. A pattern of always needing yo win, or to lose.” A good reminder that life is not a competition but rather a gift of light an love, a gift of self exploration and discovery, of being in tune with our surroundings, of remaining a part of Nature, a part of Spirit and becoming more than what we think we can be.
Thank You Spirit.

8 of Swords
Another work day is upon us but I’m okay with that. Walking around in the mostly dry outdoors is quite nice and refreshing. The split shifts and late starts are not my favourite but this is a temporary gig and nothing too hard to handle.
We had a quiet day yesterday as we only did our grocery shopping, went for a walk along the quay, and then coffee at Tre Galli before heading home and lazing around doing a whole lot of nothing, a perfect Sunday.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “8 of Swords: The Crowded Subway. Restriction. Being trapped by your own biases and prejudices. Feeling lonely in a crowd.” I must meditate more and allow my Spiritual self to fill my life more in order overcome such missteps as to allow my biases and prejudices to trap in ways I wish not to be trapped and more so that I rid myself of any biases and prejudices so Spirit can thrive within me.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

A Simple Life
I’m going to enjoy my day off today somehow even though the showery, rainy days have returned after the sun made a very brief appearance. We supposedly have not had a lot of rain over the last few months but neither have we had a lot of sunshine. Many cloudy days. With the work I’m doing it is easy to see how the weather seems to affect people’s moods as I’ve noticed that when that when the Sun is out people are happier and easier to talk to than when the clouds are out and rain is misting or drizzling from the sky. Friday and Saturday with the Sun brought out the niceness of people or so it seemed. Maybe it was that the weekend was a day away for some.
We enjoyed a Thai dinner out with a few of our friends. The food was good, the service not so much. Deep fried banana with pistachio ice cream was a great way to end the dinner.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card fell away from the deck, “XIX The Sun: The best moments in life are rooted in the ordinary. Contentment. Optimism. Ordinariness. Satisfaction from a job well done. Familiarity.” I like this card. Just a simple ordinary life is what I like, no grandiose plans or desires, just a plain and simple life where I have a great work/life balance and life is as stress and worry free as I can make it.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Man or Knight of Cups
Namaste
Awaking to another bright, sunny and beautiful morning. They’re all beautiful mornings mind you but seeing the sun brightens the day and brings a smile to my face. The birds are singing and chirping up s storm, the sounds of nature in the city, simply amazing!
Had another decent day at the job yesterday and the energy seemed much more positive and uplifting, a much more cheerful kind of day it seemed. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Man of Cups: An emotional adventurer. Tendency to want to emotionally rescue others. Drawn to emotional crises.”
Or how about this from Tarot, Running Press, Dennis Fairchild and Julie Paschkis, 1996, 2002; “A break from responsibilities soon arrives. Let others pamper you. Do something nice for yourself. Don’t be in a hurry to get things done. Stop and think things through before acting. Take a vacation and stay away from responsibilities. There is life beyond work.” I like this idea, an image of a man riding a dolphin that is also carrying a cup emblazoned with the image of a heart. A nice card, a great image that much more reflects my mood.
Thank You Spirit.

10 of Wands
A job is well, a job. I certainly do like self-employment better than working for someone else but this time around I can see the light at the end of the tunnel as this is only a temporary assignment and a great learning experience. These two and half months of work have awakened my desire to work for myself and really make use of the talents I have, talents I simply forgot about as life was rolling over me.
It’s really nice to be awake and part of life, creating and writing my own life story. And this has all come about since starting this temporary job. I had thought I had already awakened however, I now realize I’ve only been half awake over the last several months. Fully awake is what I am and so much life ahead of me. I’m raring to go.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Wands: The Burden. Responsibilities. Obligations. Overcommitting yourself. Realizing that burdens are a part of life." Over-committing myself is not something I feel about what I’m doing at present however I understand this card completely however I still get a sense of travel whenever I see it. Today, my first thought about this card is to “take the road less traveled”. And I think that is exactly what I’ll be doing in the near future.
The other day, I was thinking about camping somewhere in the vicinity of Yale, as is Yale, British Columbia. This is one my favourite areas of the province. I have no way to explain why nor will I attempt to but this area always speaks to me when we zip through the community and surrounding area on our way to and from visiting family and friends. So when I get the chance I’ll visit Yale by way of a campground or nearby RV park and explore what draws me so much to this part of our beautiful province.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

3 of Coins and Having a Job
I completed Day 1 of work enumerating for Elections BC, not bad at all, kind of fun, working with a partner though and I’d rather be working by myself. The hours don’t mesh will my ideals either, a split shift, and don’t get home until 8pm. But I’m thankful I’m working and earning a decent and liveable wage, earning my keep for now.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “3 of Coins: A child’s room. Creating a positive environment for someone. Work done for the pleasure of it.” Daydreaming, how does daydreaming as a job sound. I’ve done a lot of daydreaming over the past while, a lot of thinking about my spiritual life and RVing and how each will affect the other. But as in more real work, I like to cook and take care of our home. When I have a little more free time I’ll continue painting the baseboard trim. This is a perfect job for me. I love taking care of our home, doesn’t pay me any money but a loving home and relationship is my reward and reward enough.
Thank You Spirit.

Not So Black and White
Yesterday was a quiet day for the most part as the most exciting thing to happen was the buildings fire alarm going off around 7:30 last night as our friend was arriving to try a new dessert my partner made. We waited outside for the fire department to give the all clear as we chatted with our friend as well as our friends from the building.
I had a difficult time sleeping however not from worrying about today being the first day of my temporary job but rather because of other “crap” that filled my mind, utter nonsensical stuff but it kept me awake none-the-less.
So today is the first day of work and I’m awoke feeling quite under the weather. I do believe I have a cold, maybe even the flu. Hopefully, it will go away as fast as usual, and I’ll be feeling better tomorrow.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “XII Then Hanged Man: Living in the moment. Being fully absorbed in the present. Nonattachment to goals. Seeing things from a new angle.” If I tie this in to today’s horoscope I need to really look beyond my preferences and be open to all possibilities. I guess I’m a bit rigid in certain areas of my life when I instead should be more open, receptive, and fluid.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Ace of Wands and Magick is in the Air
Had a successful day of training yesterday and looking forward to getting started tomorrow and confirming and adding people onto the provincial voter’s list. I think we work just shy of two weeks, Monday to Saturday. I will then likely only have a week or so of a break before starting the office portion of my work with them. It’s exciting to be involved in the democratic process.
Slept rather poorly last night though, not sure why but I’m up and happy to start my day, it’s got magick in the air...not sure why I feel that way but that is what came to mind as I awoke from my slumber and moved about opening the drapes and getting some coffee on. Magick is in the air.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Ace of Wands: A creative inspiration. The beginning of a project or venture.” The image of a magician’s hat and wand, magick is definitely in the air. Fleeting images fill my mind but none last long enough for me to get a good sense of what they are about or represent for me but I feel much love and trust as the quickly play through my mind.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

4 of Wands
It’s training day for me to learn how to be a Door-to-Door Enumerator for Elections BC. I’m kind of excited about it. We entertained another friend last night and my take on a lazy man’s cabbage roll worked out very well. We all enjoyed them. The evening was very nice. I slept okay but feel I could sleep better with more blanket on the bed as in terms of size and perhaps a different mattress. I’ve noticed that my sense of comfort on this mattress has diminished quite a lot over the last couple of months. Oh and of course I had more weird dreams involving my partner and myself. But here I am awake and getting on with my day.
Thank You Spirit.
Today’s visiting Tarot Card fell away from the deck and even escaped my grasp several times as I attempted to look at it, the “4 of Wands: Setting the stage. Opening night arrives. A venture has been established. Celebrating initial achievements.” I understand that my desires, dreams, and goals as I have explained them to myself and how I try remain focused on them, the singularity of what I am most passionate about is taking root in the universe.
When I strip everything away and really look at what I’ve been most passionate about, it has been a nomadic way of life, a live of constant movement and travel. I equate this to life in an RV. However, I’ve struggled with how to do this while keeping a foothold in the life and lifestyle I already enjoy but now realize I can do both but only if I keep an open and non-rigid mind about how it can be done. The details will fall into place once I get underway and live the life that I’m most passionate about but also feel is my life’s purpose.
Thank You Spirit.

Have Fun!
Had another successful dinner with a friend last night and awoke at the perfect time as the Moon is still hanging about as the blazing Sun brightens this beautiful morning. Unfortunately the building we live in does more to block the Moon than allowing me to see her as I love to go out on the deck in the evening to look up at the night sky, amazed at the stars and planets I can see amongst the bright lights of the city but especially when I can see the Moon in all her glory.
Thank You Spirit.
Today’s visiting Taro t Card is “VII The Chariot: Among the highs and lows of life, make sure you enjoy the highs. At the top of one’s. Seizing an opportunity. Having everything under control (barely).” As I read in the Collins gem book “Tarot” I need to have “confidence, strength of purpose...and endurance”. I think that I can muster these but only with adopting good “organizational skills” that Collins Gem also mentions. I have to be mindful to work at creating my own life with much focus and forethought. I need to be aware of what I’m really after as well as maintain a steady an unwavering focus on my dreams and goals.
Thank You Spirit.

A Nurturing Day, Perhaps?
Another night of weird dreams or psychic events perhaps. Not sure how to classify such events. Cannot get into the details as I need to flesh out these images a little more and see if they have any relevance. These dreams simply involved my partner and myself. Oh, and I think it is time the winter duvet comes off the bed as I found it awfully warm last night, more like hot. Whew!
Yesterday was a decent enough day even with the deluge we’ve had the last few days. I missed the rain as I sauntered to and from the gym; it was an unusual dry spell I guess compared to the rest of the day. We were hit with what they call a “Pineapple Express”, a weather system that comes up from the tropics. The rain is supposed to let up today and the sun is to make an appearance over the next few days. That’ll be nice.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “III The Protector: Nurturing others is good practice for nurturing oneself. Parental instincts. Maintaining a home or a positive environment. Bringing a project to fruition.” A nurturing day perhaps? A nice to get the home in order or to bring more order to my life. Find a creative outlet or finish one the many projects I’ve got under way...cards, bracelets, masquerade ball masks, etc. Yikes! Wanting to do too many things, I guess? But I enjoy some more than others so that is a good place to start with my organizing. I just be onto something here...got to run...things to do...
Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is My Life
A new month is upon us. On Monday, I have a day of training with Elections BC. I’ll be updating the Voter’s List for the Province of British Columbia as a Door-to-Door Enumerator for a couple of weeks. If I survive this position I will take up the role as a part-time Office Support Worker through April and into May. A nice way to be involved in the political/democratic process.
I slept fairly well and I just lost my faint memory of one of my dreams as I got to thinking about it. I vaguely recall some young people...hhhmmm...I get a sense that it was a good dream...but I do remember having a bit of a frustrating day trying to watch streaming videos yesterday afternoon. It took me almost three hours to watch a 42 minute episode of a television program I wanted to watch...argh...it got better with the next few episodes though...Thank You Spirit.
Speaking of Spirit, “Spirit Is My Life” is something I picked up on while trying to relax yesterday afternoon and this really makes sense as I’ve felt a great deal of peace and security over the last several days. Having said that, I need to stay singularly focused on my true dreams and goals otherwise I’m fighting against the wind all for naught. I cannot keep shifting my goals and dreams from one thing to another or I’ll never live life to its, to my fullest potential. No more fear, faith and trust are all I need along with a little courage and perseverance. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the Youth of Swords: Curiosity. Research. Computers, e-mail. Immature communication. Spying (or "hacking")." I must admit that this card is not speaking to me in a way I understand. I’m at a loss for words here and feel like I missing the obvious. Maybe that’s the point of the card, I’m looking to hard, relax and let Spirit speak to you and do its work.
Thank you Spirit.
