The '7 of Swords' and a Little Piece of Paradise

Saturday, July 23, 2016.  Awoke quite early this morning and find myself sitting here on the park bench and it's a bright and early 6:30am.  Soaking up the sun's rays as crows gave me a warm welcome.  The moon is still hanging in the sky.

The Sun, the Moon, a beautiful morning accentuated by shining black crows providing the perfect setting to work with the Pagan Tarot.

Today's Tarot Energy is the "7 of Swords: Here we see a pleasant surprise.  Our Witch makes her to a clearing to perform a ritual.  She is expecting to make do with very little.  However, when she arrives, she finds that someone has set up a tent, started a fire, and left her all the tools she'll need.  She had no logical reason to expect this lovely surprise.  This card is a reminder that sometimes good things just happen.  Logic, reason, past experience - they may indicate a certain outcome.  And then, boom!, magick happens and you're unexpectedly blessed."
Then a young couple show up, the young man proud that he is bringing his girlfriend early in the morning so they can enjoy some fishing together.  He proceeds to tell me that she's not all that happy or keen to be up and out this early.  She confirms this as they converse amongst themselves by telling him that she could still be and would prefer to be in bed sleeping.  He offers a olive branch, a vodka cooler...I whisper to myself, "he's offering you a compromise", a little something that might make you a bit happier and besides he's also trying to get to appreciate the beautiful morning that they have together.

I decide to take my leave  and allow them to enjoy this little piece of paradise (Pier Park, New Westminster) for a spell.  Happy Fishing!

The "7 of Swords" is reminding us that once in awhile "magick happens and" we're "unexpectedly blessed"  in spite of what our "Logic, reason, past experience" may lead us to believe otherwise.  It's very true that "sometimes good things just happen" and I'm glad to have this reminder as I've had such experiences before.  However, with the ups and downs of life we more often than not tend to dwell on and focus our attention on the bad that happens rather than all of the good that is also a part of life.

An example, I can go down to a park (a little piece of paradise) on a beautiful morning and be one with all of Nature and all of Spirit and all that is you and I.  Tarot cards in hand, freely being myself, Spirit smiling and shining upon me.  I have no fears, nor worries...I simply am!

Thank You Spirit.

Namaste.
