The "4 of Cups", an Opportunity and the "4 of Coins", Don't Abuse Your Perceived Sense of Power

Rested quite well, sleep was refreshing although awaking before the alarm is a bit irksome but it does happen on occasion.  Besides, I feel very close to and well-connected with Spirit and why shouldn't I?  We're all spirit after all, aren't we?

Spirit Is and today's Gay Tarot Energy is the “4 of Cups: The Audition.  A new opportunity or choice presents itself.  Everything hangs in the balance.  Nervousness, excitement.” and the “4 of Coins: The Lighting Director.  A position of power.  Wanting to control how others perceive things.”
A new opportunity has presented itself however it will put me in a perceived position of power when I start seeing clients in the coming days and knowing such I need to be wary of adopting a position of control over them.  As although they may come to me for spiritual guidance or answers to questions they have or even to oversee their wedding ceremony I must always keep myself in check and stay on equal ground with them.  Although my education may provide me with a means of offering assistance to them by no means am I better than them or in a higher category than they are.  We are equal and this must always be top of mind for me.

And as you may have noticed two cards are filling the day with their energy today.  They slipped out of the deck as one as I was meditating with and shuffling the cards.  Two cards to show that an opportunity is out there but that at the same time the opportunity comes with its challenges.

Thank You Spirit.

The '4 of Cups' and Auditioning To Be One of Spirit's Representatives Here on Earth

Friday, June 24, 2016.  Hhhmmm...seemed like a long night, almost as if I was sleeping far too long.  Not in the sense of fearing that I was sleeping past the alarm but rather that the night was lasting too long.  My dreams were all over the place...the job, my spiritual career, friends, being out in nature and feeling great but then realising that the world I knew was no more...

Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is the “4 of Cups: The Audition.  A new opportunity or choice presents itself.  Everything hangs in the balance.  Nervousness, excitement.”

"The Audition."  What am I, what are we auditioning for?  What makes it necessary for us to have to audition in the first place?   When and how and will we find out how we did?  And what happens if we're successful?  Then what?

More questions than answers about today's “4 of Cups" visit.  But it is "The Audition." that stands out for me with this “4 of Cups".  I'm feeling a bit perplexed by it.

Aha!  I got it!

Spirit is auditioning me to see how well I will be at representing Spirit as Wizard Oron and through my interactions with others in this role.  How am I doing?  Okay.  But have much I can do to be better and not simply better but much better.  And I started being better yesterday when role played a client visit by myself.  It was very revealing and helped me a great deal in finding my natural voice and how emotionally grounded I will likely be when I become more involved with people through my Spiritual Guidance Counselling journey.

I give my thanks to all of you!

Thank You Spirit.

The '4 of Cups' and Being Open and Receptive to Opportunity and Choice

Monday, May 9, 2016.  We reconnected with a friend mid-morning before heading out for lunch and our weekly grocery run.  Mucho Burrito was our choice for lunch--and nothing too exciting so we'll likely not return and Save On Foods was our stop for groceries as is the case most of the time.

After returning home my brother called so we headed over to where he is and went out for what turned into our afternoon coffee and dessert and my brother's lunch at the Savary Island Pie Company-fantastic.  We then walked along the waterfront trail from John Lawson Park to Dundarave Park, about 4km roundtrip and a beautiful walk under bright and sunny skies.

We dropped my brother off and returned home, having our dinner around 8pm.  Called dad and wished him a 'Happy Birthday'.  We relaxed do whole lot of nothing and hit the sack about 11:00pm.

Spirit Is and today's Gay Tarot Energy is the “4 of Cups: The Audition.  A new opportunity or choice presents itself.  Everything hangs in the balance.  Nervousness, excitement.”

I did my best to keep every part of my being on the lookout a new opportunity and to also to be aware that a choice may come before me however as of now I haven't really seen, felt or heard anything.  One choice I made is to not go to the gym tonight as I got home a bit later than I expected to and dinner had to be in the oven when I'd be just nearing the tail-end of my workout.

So here I am writing about this and that but most of all contemplating, thinking, and writing about the “4 of Cups".  Oh, and dinner is smelling absolutely delicious.  A new "Choice"...hhhmmm...visiting my Dad and his wife are on my mind and I'd love to do this throughout the summer...Kamloops could be a nice place to be this summer...choices, choices, choices...

Thank You Spirit.

The '4 of Cups' and Finding Doors To Open

Wednesday, January 6th, 2016.  Going to sleep at a decent hour, getting a good night's rest however awaking before the alarm...both good and bad as I'd much rather awake with the alarm when going to an outside job and then am more than happy to awake early when I get to go straight to work with Spirit and Tarot.

Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is “4 of Cups: The Audition.  A new opportunity or choice presents itself.  Everything hangs in the balance.  Nervousness, excitement.”

"Everything hangs in the balance" because it's up to us as to whether or not we see or pay attention to this "new opportunity or choice" that "presents itself".  We cannot let either boredom or fear stop us from taking advantage of the opportunities coming our way.  Let's each find the door we need to open and step through so we are on our way to the future, our future that awaits us.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

Friday, The 4 of Cups and the Youth of Cups

Friday, February 20th, 2015.  Another work week in 2015 is behind us.  The week was busy, demanding, a bit stressful yet truly meaningful and dare I say, satisfying.

Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Cups: The Audition.  A new opportunity or choice presents itself.  Everything hangs in the balance.  Nervousness, excitement” with further support guidance coming from the “Youth of Cups: Youthful emotions.  Daydreaming.  Shyness.”  And with today being Friday -- (VENUS): Love, friendship, reconciliation , and beauty.  And the Moon has moved into ARIES: Good for starting things, but lacks staying power. Things occur rapidly; but quickly pass. People tend to be argumentative and assertive.

Grasp the opportunities staring you in the face and don't fear the challenges that might be coming along with it.  Seize the moment and get the momentum of your life moving forward.  Don't let yourself become stationary for then your life will become if not simply stay stagnant.  Let the youthful feelings and energy of the day fill you with the courage to move forward to grab hold of this moment of opportunity with courage, confidence and the enthusiasm it deserves.

With the Moon in Aries you may doubt your chances but grasp the opportunity anyway as the Moon moves into Taurus next and your actions particularly in the coming days will carry you significantly forward and deepen the roots of your actions to the point where you will have a solid foundation from which to work.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The 4 of Cups and Appreciating What You Having by Not Losing Sight of Opportunities

Wednesday, April 2, 2014.  Another decent day that followed a pretty decent night’s sleep.  Awaking and having to get on with the day so quickly is a bit daunting but I’m doing it.  One thing I noticed though is that I really do miss the relaxed mornings when I was not with a day job and could spend a bit more time with Tarot and reflecting on the day’s Tarot Card.  I find that mornings work great for me spiritually speaking as I can be very reflective and raise Spirit quite well as I burn incense and a tea light candle in my Circle of Friends candle holder.  I was doing my own daily ritual during the time I was in between jobs.  I quite liked it.

Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Cups: The Audition.  A new opportunity or choice presents itself.  Everything hangs in the balance.  Nervousness, excitement.”

I know what I want.  I need to know more about myself though.  I need to build a relationship with myself so I can move forward in a more positive manner.  I can meditate however I must not allow myself to turn away from new opportunities or appreciating all the good I have in my life these days.

So the message of the day is to appreciate all that you have, be introspective but so much as to lose sight of the opportunity or opportunities that be right before your eyes.  Get to know yourself and move forward with courage and confidence.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The 4 of Cups and Finding Fulfillment

Our desire to have a quiet week to ourselves has been anything but.  We’ve been visiting and hosting and engaging in more social activities than we anticipated ourselves doing.  We are making the choice to be social as it is the season of joy and goodwill after all however we’d rather forego all of the festivities of food, drink, and gift exchanges.

Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Cups: The Audition.  A new opportunity or choice presents itself.  Everything hangs in the balance.  Nervousness, excitement.”

Although life is a precious gift I do cherish, it can seemingly become stale and boring at times.  When this happens it’s time to spend a little time reflecting and then finding a way to focus and engage my heart and mind on something that excites me and pulls me out of this rut.  And the thing is I don’t my life or life in general is really all that boring either.  I think what I’m suffering from is what I’ll refer to as “buyer’s remorse” in the sense that the job I thought was the best choice for me is likely the exact opposite.  Time away from the job and more quiet time to myself have given me time to think and reflect on my first month on the job.  Additionally, we ran into a friend who mentioned that her husband had a life changing event on a recent trip they took to Cambodia and changed jobs as a result.  This caught my attention and that is when I decided that I too, perhaps need a much more fulfilling job than I have now.

I’ll do my best to engage my current employment with an open mind and do my best to make it work for everyone however, I likely need to move on at the same time too!  It’s great to be working again and I definitely need to build up my finances so I need to make the most of this well paying job while it lasts.  I have faith that things will work out the way they should.

Thank you Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The 4 of Cups and Living Life

Yesterday got a bit wet.  At first there were only a few sprinkles then a seductive dry period and then the showers came and turned into a brief period of heavy rain.  I was hoping the 30 or 40 percent chance of wet stuff falling from the sky would turn into a drier day bit no such luck.  I paid a visit to the RV to try and finish up a few things on the exterior one of which was to apply sealant where I missed applying before.  However, I’m not sure if anything I did apply held up to the rain as it takes about three hours before the stuff is what they deem to be “rain ready”.

I’ll likely not get over to the RV again until Monday as the forecast for the next few days is calling for on and off showers and rain-not good for exterior painting.  So it’ll have to wait until drier weather which is likely to be Monday and definitely Tuesday as of yesterday’s long term forecast.  But I do love my RV and she does not look all that bad.

Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Cups: The Audition.  A new opportunity or choice presents itself.  Everything hangs in the balance.  Nervousness, excitement.”

There is time for reflection and renewal however I must not forget to open my eyes to the opportunities, optimism, and excitement that are all around me.  I must not allow myself to become flat and stale so I must immerse myself into the buzz and excitement of life and all that it has to offer.  I need to envision my future as I desire it to be by looking beyond the work that still needs to be done and see that it, that all of this work produces the results I’m wishing for.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The 4 of Cups and Being Open to New Opportunities

I had a fairly productive day yesterday.  I made it to the gym as well as to my second home, the RV and got some work done there too!  I have two of the four cupboard doors built and I put a coat of paint on the upper cabinets above the desk.  Then it was back home to get ready for a casual reception we were invited to by our out of town guests who are here for a convention.  We arrived early but could not get in to see our friends as they were not opening the doors until 6:45pm.  We had a 45 minute wait ahead of us so we took advantage of a park bench and enjoyed the natural setting we were in that is Stanley Park.

A line-up had formed and began moving so we got up and stood in line for about another half hour or so before we finally entered the Vancouver Aquarium and got to see our friends.  Hundreds of people showed up, far more than the venue could comfortably handle and slim pickings were left at the food tables.  We ended up starting with dessert before finding a bit of prime rib to put on plate and then an onion and brie cheese pizza was offered to us by one of the food servers walking around and offering bites to the many hundreds of hungry people roaming about in search of food and drink.

Soon we were back home and relaxing for the evening.  I was falling asleep around 9:30 but managed to stay awake until almost 11pm before crashing into bed and my long awaited sleep.

Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Cups: The Audition.  A new opportunity or choice presents itself.  Everything hangs in the balance.  Nervousness, excitement.”

I must keep myself in check and not get too absorbed into my own little world and miss the gifts, rewards, or opportunities that may be offered me this day, one of which could be a an offer of employment, a windfall, a prize from a lottery or an opportunity to bring my dreams and goes to fruition in ways I never thought possible.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The 4 of Cups and Looking Out for New Opportunities

Monday, June 3, 2013

We had a quiet day yesterday.  We took a quick walk, ran a few errands and then stayed in the rest of the day.  Boring for some but perfect for us.  We are comfortable spending a quiet day at home visiting with our selves, getting to know who we are as individuals, self-knowledge.  We do not need to get into the busyness of life in order to have a good or even active day.  We’re not boring we’re just us.

Thank you Spirit.

Today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Cups: The Audition.  A new opportunity or choice presents itself.  Everything hangs in the balance.  Nervousness, excitement.”

I’m going ahead with my plans today but with a new eye out looking for a new opportunity or two that may present themselves.  I feel good about today and will be open to opportunity, making new friends, earning a little bit of income or taking possession of a new RV or even a piece of property should someone be giving either of these away.

Actually, each and every time I plan to and then go out to visit and work on my RV I’m filled with nervousness and excitement, it’s just the way it is but I’m getting more comfortable with what I’m doing because it feels right and my chosen path and desire to RV fits with where I feel the cosmos wants me to go and has wanted me to go for many years now.  But my heart and mind are open to Spirit’s calling wherever it may lead me.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

The 4 of Cups and Looking Out for New Opprotunities

After an eight hour work day we had a potluck at work.  I volunteered to bring cookies and dessert but I did not feel like making anything as I had a sore shoulder and back and have been mentally exhausted all week so I opted to pick something up at a store bakery.  As it was after working all day yesterday all I wanted to do was go home, eating and visiting with everyone was the last thing I wanted to do.  Everyone is wonderful but I’m not much for socializing these days.

So after visiting for another hour and a half at work and eating a light meal, my appetizer, if you will, I came home to eat my main course.  After dinner, I got a haircut and then we relaxed the rest of the evening before heading off to bed.  Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Cups: The Audition.  A new opportunity or choice presents itself.  Everything hangs in the balance.  Nervousness, excitement.”

I guess I’ll need to keep my eyes and ears open to something new presenting itself and having the where with all to see it, hear, analyze it, and then make a decision about it.  I need to keep an open mind, be in the present (present moment awareness) and be able to look through, around, and in things to be able to see something good that has come my way.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

Job is Ending But So Busy

I was under what now was a false impression that I'd have an easy month before my job officially came to an end.  It has been busier than what the whole of August was.  I had several service calls, orders, and requests for proposals for new printers and/or copiers.

I've had some "free" time for myself but I'm so worn and stressed out that my mind is such a pile of mush that I have no desire to do anything.  I've struggled and forced myself to eat lunch these days, my hunger has taken a back seat to the stress of having a job and working alone and having to do things that I have no experience doing.

But I am thankful as I am working and learning new skills and Spirit is always with me and carrying me of giving me more strength to handle loads that get too great for me to bear.

Last week I ended early and my partner hit the beach, likely the last time this year and was it ever nice.  The sun was out strong and warm and the water although on the cold side was calm, clear, and quite shallow.

Working with Tarot, I was visited by the following cards since I last wrote:

Thursday, September 6th - Ace of Wands
Friday, September 7th - 2 of Swords
Saturday, September 8th - 4 of Cups
Sunday, September 9th - 4 of Coins
Monday, September 10th - Man of Coins

and today's visiting Tarot card is the Guide of Coins, a lot of Coins over the past few days.  Hhhmmm. . .today's card reminds me about where I find my most enjoyment and that is in the ordinary; the natural world; and the magical world of the mundane and simple things in life.

This is just a perfect way to go about RVing too!

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.

Life is rolling right along . . .

as it should be.  I am pretty happy these days as I am getting more and more comfortable working with my Tarot cards.  In fact, one deck in particular is proving to be an ideal fit with me.  The energy between the deck and me is utterly amazing and I have felt it so easy to see the inherent messages in the images of the cards as I do with this particular deck.  The only other deck that I somewhat understand is Aleister Crowley's Thoth deck and that is only because I have been working with it on and off for the past ten years so this new deck is pretty darned amazing in my books.

The deck I am referring to is the Gay Tarot which I received as a Christmas/Yule gift from my partner - another wonderful and thoughtful gift that he has given to me over the years.

I have though worked with the "Tarot" deck as well, this is the tiny little deck that I impulsively purchased from Chapters a while back.  But the deck does work but overall the Gay Tarot deck is by far the best deck I now own.  But each of the four decks I have now are unique and wonderful in their own way so don't get me wrong when I say that the Gay Tarot deck is so wonderful as I do like to work with each deck and it just depends on my mood as to which deck I work with on any particular day.

Back on June 19th working with the "Tarot" deck two cards revealed themselves to me:

4 of Cups
Page of Cups

On June 20th working with the Gay Tarot I randomly selected:

XVII The Star - Spirit is real.  Hope. Serenity.  Clarity.  Having faith in an underlying or overlying Spirit.  A dream becomes real.

Monday, June 21 - Happy Litha, the summer solstice is upon us.  And from the Gay Tarot I randomly selected:

Youth of Cups

Wednesday, June 23rd again from the Gay Tarot:

XII The Hanged Man

The selection of crystals I picked up the Crystal Ark are full of great positive energy and I have been allowing that energy to flow into and around me to improve my mood and rid me of the negative energy that pervades my life.  As I let go of that negative energy I feel my communication with the cosmos opening up and improving more and more each day.  Although I do sometimes fall back into the negative habits and patterns for the most part and thankfully so it is a short-lived episode.

My life and dreams are moving forward little step by little step and I am so glad and happy to see my life progressing in the direction it is supposed to as I have been made aware of by my interaction with the cosmos around me.

How wonderful it is!
