Wednesday, July 20, 2016. Sleep was kind to me last night so I awoke feeling quite rested and ready to take on the day. Must of been to the type of relaxing I'm doing these days. I doing my best to enjoy myself and not worry so much about being so actively searching for spiritual experiences each and every waking moment of the day.
My work day once again took me out into the Fraser Valley by way of White Rock, Surrey and Langley. I once again stopped at the Coleman Road rest area for lunch. I ran into the gentleman cleaning the washrooms and we had a brief chat as I went in even though a sign was posted that they were closed for two hours for cleaning. But I had to go and besides needed to wash my hands before eating lunch. As it was already approaching 2:00pm I cut my lunch short by ten or fifteen minutes as I had two more stops to make.
On my way back to the office I decided to stop and get a bottle of coke and a healthy Lara bar to go along with it. Lisa was handling the register and was getting flustered as she had to ring up my purchase three times before she got it right. After her second attempt I told her that the third time's the charm and she laughed and got it right. And she then repeated to me you said the third time's the charm and it was. We both had a good laugh.
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is the “Youth of Wands: Focusing attention on something. Reaching for a goal from a possibly unsteady foundation.”
"Focusing attention on something" is right. I've been focusing a lot of attention on Serenity, my camper van and my desire to use her not only as my Spiritual Guidance Counsellor office but to also use her as my permanent residence. So with this idea in mind I'm going to bring her into Canadian Tire to get a couple of diagnostic tests done and maybe get the necessary repairs completed. Then I have no fear of taking her on the road again.
The camper van was likely more of an impulsive purchase than a well thought out one considering the fear based living and decision-making I've been doing for the past ten or so years but I'm going to do my best to take care of my financial obligations as best I can.
Unfortunately, blogging is not creating the income I'd like it to. Last month I spent $50.00 on Google advertising and only saw a couple of bucks in advertising sales come. It's been more or less like that since about March or April when started doing it. I cancelled my ads as it does not make any financial sense to pay so much for so little in return.
I'm thinking up as many ideas for weekend outings as possible that include at least one night of overnight camping so we use the van on as many weekends as possible throughout the year. One of us is not all that fond of camping so I might have to fly solo some of the time, if not most of the time. But if some scenic hikes are in the area then it'll more than likely be the two of us.
And of course, I'm "Reaching for a goal from a possibly unsteady foundation" as I have debts to pay and a limited income from which to do this. But I'm giving it my best shot and since chatting with both the rest area attendant and Lisa I feel and even dare say have the knowledge and confidence that I'm on the right track in reaching out to people as a Spiritual Guidance Counsellor. And you know something it's a great career to take on the road. Even people travelling need a person to talk to here and there every now and then and I'm just that person.
Thank You Spirit.
Namaste.
