The fifth month of the year at its end, hard to believe this year is this far in already. Where does time go? Quickly passes us by when we’re not paying attention and present moment aware…
Yesterday was a day spent out and about with my niece-in-law. We had a great time window shopping along Commercial Drive and Granville Island. Our first stop was for a great lunch at Bandidas Taqueria. Great food, great atmosphere, all around great place to hand out for a meal. Then it was on down to Santa Barbara for a couple of things and then zipping on over to Granville Island before heading back home for an evening of great food conversation and a movie, Bullets Over Broadway. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “7 of Wands: Fighting the wind. A Quixotic struggle. Winning against the odds. Confrontation.”
The second appearance for this card this week so I need to get focused on my life, my situation, my circumstance and see where I am at and where I truly want to go then make a decision and head off in one direction or another. I need to practice present moment awareness and “be” in the moment and know what I want with conviction and certainty before acting.
Yesterday as we were on our way to Granville Island, the thought came to me that I have a way of growing and becoming the person I most desire of myself, if this makes any sense. I have a few things to meditate on and contemplate however before I truly understand or comprehend this idea. But it is not that far off from some fleeting glimpses I’ve had of myself in the future so maybe there is something to this that makes sense and it worthwhile to pursue.
Thank you Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 7 of Coins and when to Make Decisions
Its official yesterday turned out to be the last day of work at Elections BC New Westminster save for a select few that need to remain until the office is emptied out today and tomorrow. Yesterday was a whirlwind of activity to get everything packed up and ready for shipping. At any one time 6-8 of us were running around the office doing one activity or another to get the work done for today. I think we finished around 4:30pm. With a touch of sadness yet a smile on our faces for what we accomplished over the past three months most of left the office with hints of tears in our eyes. Thank You Spirit for this wonderful opportunity.
Last night we picked up a visiting family member that has a conference in Victoria this weekend, had a late dinner that was scrumptious and ever so tasty, yum, yum! Then off to bed it was for all of us before the clock struck eleven. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “7 of Coins: Chores. Resting after a job well done. Contemplating life's cycles and changes. Planning your next move. Clearing out what's unnecessary in your life to make way for something new."
Still much work to do and much information to gather before making decisions and moving forward but I’m will to do the work necessary to live my life my way. Not many accept such a life as the one I wish to live however, I need to forge ahead and dismay and possibly disappoint those closest to me but it must be done. I need to be self-employed as best as I can be and live the life a nomad, something I’ve been longing to do for well over 25 years.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 7 of Wands, Faith and Overcoming Obstacles
Another busy day at the office today as it was yesterday. The final count of ballots is complete and all that is left is the packing up of the office. We’ve been working full eight hour days in order to get through this final push. Election materials will be picked up tomorrow and all of the furniture is picked up on Friday. So this is really the final week of employment with Elections BC 2013. Thank You Spirit.
Slept awkwardly last night, the wrong thoughts kept popping up in my mind or at least they are not what I want to fall asleep with or awake too. Not bad thoughts mind you but different than the direction I was hoping to fall asleep in. But I contemplate these thoughts and meditate on them as they for sure have something to teach me. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “7 of Wands: Fighting the wind. A Quixotic struggle. Winning against the odds. Confrontation.” Tarot by Fairchild and Paschkis, Running Press, 1996, 2002 put it this way: “Faith overcomes obstacles. You have the power to accomplish your goals, Consider all of the consequences, but act swiftly.”
So I need to check my faith. I need to believe and trust in myself and my dreams. My life and my dreams are my own and there is nothing wrong with either. My life and my dreams are realistic, are positive, do keep others in mind and are about living more in harmony with Spirit, Nature, and myself.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

3 of Swords and Life's Curve Balls
A rainy morning, likely a rainy day in Metro Vancouver. Won’t particularly enjoy walking in it but I sure do appreciate this wonderful source of life falling from the sky. Water, we always need it and should welcome it into our lives in whatever form it comes. Thank You Spirit.
Had a very busy day yesterday, the final ballot counting process has begun along with the taking or tearing down of the office. Everything has to be packed up in boxes in a particular order and everything marked down as to what is in each box. I helped with the ballot counting process and this took a full eight hours of work to do yesterday and we’re just a little more than half way through the process. I’m thoroughly enjoying this work and now it is almost at its end. I’m thankful for the experience and the almost three months of employment it has provided to me. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “3 of Swords: The Wreckage. Feeling heavy-hearted after an emotional storm. Feeling hurt or betrayed.”
I take this card as a warning that life may be about to throw me a curve ball and that I need to be on my toes, so-to-speak. Something is amiss or maybe I am unwilling to acknowledge some aspect or area of my life that needs addressing. I need to head off trouble before it arrives.
I thank Spirit for bringing books into my life as well as reminding me of the books I already have as they are providing much valuable information and insight into Spirit as well as my life that has helped me make immeasurable changes to my thinking, attitude, and outlook on life that it is simply amazing at where I’m at today.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Guide of Cups and Silent Meditation and Contemplation
I almost type 2017 as this is the year that came to mind as I thought about today’s date, the 27th of May. As I was going about getting my coffee going this morning I had a slight inkling of being in my RV at Emory Creek Campground getting coffee on. There is also the Emory Creek Provincial Park.
These types of thoughts are happening more and more often. Sometimes a little bit of a sensation or a full out visualization of some aspect of my life on the road. I try not to think too much about my desire to live the life of a nomad and instead focus on my day-to-day activities as I’ve been busy with working for Elections BC and want to devote not just my time but my mental focus and alertness as well. It has been a great working experience for me and has lasted much longer than I thought it would but the end of this gig is in sight and then I need to move onto another exciting adventure.
I awoke quite early this morning, a little after 5:30am but was happy to be awake so I quietly slipped out of bed and got on with my “alone” time. I’m glad to have more time this morning to “be” and got on with my “alone” time. I’m glad to have more time this morning to “be” and work with Tarot. My silent time is very important to me and I need to give more time to silent meditation and contemplation. As I wrote yesterday. I’m giving some time to study Hermeticism and as I’ve been reading a little about this spiritual path or philosophy I also came upon Mysticism so I’m also devoting time to the study of this spiritual path and philosophy. I’m quite elated as have discovered or been discovered by these two spiritual enterprises.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Guide of Cups: Messages from your heart. Altruism.”
This card is one of my favourites…but even thought I say this about this card I must admit all of the cards are my favourites. The Guide of Cups reminds me of my night of sleep last night and how I awoke here and there or had conscious thoughts pop into my dreams as I slept. Could have been the mini deck of Rider Tarot Cards I had under my pillow. Thoughts that brought to mind my doubts and fears so I could transcend and overcome them, push them out of mind so all I’m left with is a good solid faith and belief in myself and my talents and abilities to not only build the foundation for the life I want but to live it as well.
Thank you Spirit.
Blessed Be.

XI Strength, the 10 of Cups and a Spirit Quest of Sorts
I’m feeling the need to go on a Spirit Quest of sorts. On Friday while getting mobile and heading off to work the thought of going on a Spirit Quest filled my mind. As immediate as this thought came to me, a place to go on this Spirit Quest quickly came to mind—the Emory Creek Campground located between Hope and Yale. I’ve already discussed this at some length with my partner—the need to go out on my own and seek and spend time with Spirit.
This is somewhat re-enforced by the fact that I ended up in an antiquarian bookstore, MacLeod’s Books, as my partner was looking for and found a book on music composition and theory. Since I was in a bookstore that was filled from floor to rafter with books from old to new I browsed the occult section. Nothing really struck my fancy then a book suddenly popped out at me—Meditations on the Tarot, A Journey into Christian Hermeticism. (amazon.com) So I walked out of the bookstore with book in hand. And there I was last night at 10:41pm on a Saturday night typing away in between researching Hermeticism.
I feel quite a connection to these religious and occult teachings and like this description of Hermeticism:
“Hermeticism, also called Hermetism,[1][2] comprises beliefs and practices whose purpose is the influencing of the world by means of contact with the heavenly forces.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermeticism
So we did a quick walk around downtown yesterday, pretty much following the same route and visiting the same places we usually go when on a trip into Vancouver and then came back home. In addition to “Meditations on the Tarot”, (amazon.ca) I also picked up the newest issue of Circle magazine. I’ve got a lot of reading to do and also a great need to get pen to paper and allow some words to flow across the pages.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Cards are “XI Strength: Directing your passions, rather than suppressing them, is the key. Finding healthy outlets for powerful energies.” and the “10 of Cups: The Ideal. Your secret dreams. Attainment. Unrealistic, wishful thinking.”
When I look and meditate on these two cards together I understand that I must guard myself against wishful thinking by having a solid plan to follow as well as by directing my energies to income producing enterprises if I wish to live my “ideal” life. I hesitate to say I have an “ideal” life in mind as I just wish to live life my way the best way that I can in today’s world.
So with my “free” time I will start putting some serious effort into developing a plan, a strategy for how I plan to live my life on the road. I have talents and need to learn how to direct my energies into my talents so I can use them to earn my keep.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be

Sleeping In, the Sage of Cups, VI The Lovers, and Mexican Food
I slept in a little later yesterday and did not have much time for more than getting up, having breakfast, and getting out the door hence my lack of a post. Work has been intensely busy this week as we are getting down to the task of completion for this election cycle, the final count. We been working almost non-stop the entire week, barely taking time for lunch and working later than our five o’clock quitting time.
Last night I arrived home and we were heading out the door forty-five minutes later to go and meet a friend for dinner. We tried again Taqueria Playa Tropical. We had tried this place a year or more ago and found it to mediocre or even less than mediocre in terms of food and service however we were pleasantly surprised by the line out the door, the great live music, and eventually to good quality and great tasting food that came to the table. We’ll be going back and have no hesitation in recommending Taqueria Playa Tropical as a place to go in New Westminster. Only change I would like the restaurant to make is to stay open later than 9pm especially on a Friday or Saturday night. Thank You Spirit.
I worked with Tarot yesterday and yesterday’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Sage of Cups: Emotional maturity. A good mediator or counselor.”
I kind of see this as what I need to do in my own life mediate and counsel myself on making decisions and not fretting over them afterwards. On Thursday night I awoke and fretted about the RV again, need to just get on with it. I have an old RV and need to fix it up the best I can and use this cute RV for as long as she lasts. Also, I need to really delve into Spirit. As I walked to work yesterday, the idea of a Spirit Quest filled my mind. I think this is why I’ve had these strong images of repairing the RV as quickly as possible filling my mind so much these last weeks. I need to get away from it all and focus on Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “VI The Lovers: A relationship is always a mingling of differences. A powerful relationship. Seeing both sides of an issue. Flexibility"
This is just another reminder of how relationships work in a general sort of way and as we all should remember, each relationship is unique and we should not try to fit our relationships into any sort of mold. We should allow our relationships to be our own and keep in mind that what works for us is what works for us and no explanation is needed and the same goes for everyone else as well. Have your relationship the way you think it should be not the way others expect it to be!
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

6 of Coins and Finding Work For Yourself
This computer is starting to misbehave. As if computers can misbehave. Actually, I think it’s starting to show its age as its slowing down and quite unresponsive much of the time. Keys seemed to be needed a little extra pressure and programs are just a tad slow such as this here “Word” program. Sometimes an error window pops up and it will not open the document I’ve double-clicked on. I think I should get an external hard drive and back-up the entire hard drive of this computer.
Yesterday was almost a full work day. I left 30 minutes earlier than usual however I’ve been called back into work today. This was supposed to be a much more temporary gig so I’m glad I’m getting the extra hours. The pay is good and the work quite enjoyable. The energy of the office is a kind of get the work done but be sure to relax along the way. I’ll be sad when the work is completed and we’re all sent our walking papers or pink slips. Thanks for the work. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “6 of Coins: Dependence. Resentment because of financial dependence on another. Charity. An unequal relationship.”
When I look and contemplate more on/about this card I get the sense that I need to really focus on some objectives and put the hard work needed into my passions in order to make them payoff for me. My passions are moneymakers if I choose them to be. It is all up to me. I can make or break myself depending on the path I wish to follow. Yes, I have many passions however in having said that they are all worthwhile hanging onto as they provide me with the means to engage in “productive procrastination”. Steal Like An Artist, Austin Kleon, 2012, Workman Publishing, New York
I just finished reading “Steal Like An Artist” last night and found it a truly inspiring book. A friend loaned it to me and I’m glad he did. I’ll return the book to him so he can pass it onto someone else and I will buy the book myself and lend it to someone else who may find it as inspiring as I did.
Thank You Spirit.

The 7 of Swords and Moving Through Obstacles
I had a busy day yesterday as I worked and also volunteered to pick a friend up at the airport. Everything was going quite well until I noticed that his flight was delayed. So my return to work was delayed by 30 minutes. I’ll be working again today.
Last night was a relaxing night at home and I slept in this morning even with having gone to bed earlier than usual. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “7 of Swords: The Messenger. Carrying your plans through obstacles. Speed is important. Someone brings news or a message. Carelessness.”
My plans are impeded by time and somewhat by money as I’m working quite steady at the moment. So as my work winds down and I have a bit of time in the evening I should develop my plans and strategies in greater detail so that when I have the time I can at least execute these plans and strategies and make changes as necessitated by the actual doing of the work.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 8 of Swords and Love and Compassion
We did our shopping yesterday as well as looked at pots and pans. We’re looking to replace our mish-mash of pots and pans with a single good quality set and this is where we’re at—what is the best set of pots and pans to go with? We’ve narrowed it done to a couple and will let this percolate awhile before making a decision. We also had lunch out at a fast food joint of all places but have not ate at this particular place in quite some time. A quick walk along the quay, a coffee at our favourite coffee place and then it was back home to relax, bake, eat dinner and relax again before bed. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “8 of Swords: The Crowded Subway. Restriction. Being trapped by your biases and prejudices. Feeling lonely in a crowd.”
I’m always working on trying to identify where I judge or criticize and take corrective actions so I remove such biases and prejudices from my life. I’ve never considered myself lonely in a crowd, just different, sometimes questioning whether or not I’m normal for not wanting to be part of a/or the crowd whatever it may be. So I do my best to act and think with love and compassion top of mind.
I also try to always remember “that we are much greater than we are”.

Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

We are Greater Than We Are the Sage of Wands
So on Saturday while in Seattle we took in the U District Street Fair after a coffee break/pit stop at Cloud City Coffee during the late morning and early afternoon before heading off to lunch in the Capitol Hill area at a restaurant that will remain nameless due the lousy food we had there. We also stopped in at the Edge of the Circle Books —a favourite store of mine, but I walked out of there empty handed but that’s perfectly fine with me—the ring I really liked was just not meant to be on my finger. We headed to one of my favourite stores at Pike Place Market, Tenzing Momo where I picked up a copy of Withes and Pagans and the 150th issue of Parabola magazine. Spirit was strong in both of my favourite stores.
Saturday evening we took in an excellent performance by the Les Ballets Trokadero de Monte Carlo. It was wonderful to see a stage full of men dancing Swan Lake and a couple of other lesser know ballets—highly recommended!
Oh, on our way down to Seattle, actually while trying to make our way to the border I noticed a sign for Tynehead R.V. Camp along Highway #1 and I felt a need to take note of this place for future reference and a place to park my RV for awhile. While zipping along I-5 I noticed quite a few RVs that stirred up my desire to be driving my own RV to new and familiar places living the life of my dreams. This also happened while we were traipsing through the U District Street Fair as many of the vendors had arts and crafts style products display as well as for sale. Intriguing, enticing, and inspirational—I can do that, I will do that—that’s what my RV is for, a traveling crafter’s studio.
Thank You Spirit!
As I sat here last night listening to a few songs that played on the radio in a few different places we visited over the weekend, a single thought plays through my mind and that is that “we are much greater than we are”. We are much greater than we are or are allowed to be by a society gone mad over money and possessions. Is this simply a rant or the stark reality of the world we live in today? This afternoon as a friend browsed through a discount retail outlet mall as we headed back home, my Spirit sank and cried; only finding solace with a tree planted in the midst of this crazy place of mass consumerism. Thank You Spirit. Then we drove a little while longer before stopping for lunch and my Spirit soared as I heard and listened intently and Spiritually to the Beatles as they sang “Let it Be”.
We are much greater than we are; look in the mirror for the answer; look beyond your own reflection, see what’s behind it and there you will find the answer as to how you, how you can be greater than you are; how each of us can be greater that we are.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Sage of Wands: Wanting to change the world. Changing your environment by winning others over to your viewpoint. Critical acclaim. Politics.”
As I look at this card and think about its message to me for this day I hear the song “I Hear You Calling” as sung by Chalice and Blade and in fact now have it playing in the background as I write this.
We are much greater than we. Please remember this…we are much greater than we are and we all have so much more to offer this world that is sorely in need of a new yet old way of thinking.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be

A Trip Out of Town and the 10 of Wands and 5 of Coins
Saturday, May 18, 2013. Writing to you from Seattle. Spending a couple of days here as we're taking in a ballet. The motel is nice although the room is just beds, not a suite and the breakfast nook is just that a nook that fits very few people. However, breakfast was good--bacon, eggs, a waffle, coffee, and an orange juice. I'm just a little disappointed in that I did not have any private time to myself. I like my alone and silent time.
The drive down was pretty good, took an hour to get to the border and an hour to get through. Had showers most of the way and traffic was light to moderate. And we had dinner at Bob's Burgers--good food.
Thank you Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the "10 of Wands: The Burden. Responsibilities. Obligations. Overcommitting yourself. Realizing that burdens are a part of life."
I'm not seeing life's journey as being full of burdens anymore. I see life as a journey that has many events in it but our attitudes are what makes the difference as to how burdensome life is and how we work through and overcome them.
Thank you Spirit.
Blessed Be.
Sunday, May 19, 2013. We’re back at home. The trip to Seattle was nice, a bit quick, and too much driving. The return trip involved a few stops and reminded me of why I want to get out of the rat race and live my life my own way. Consumerism drives me nuts. We made it through the border in less than ten minutes—a breeze compared to the one hour it took on Friday. Thank You Spirit.
This morning I did work with Tarot and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the 5 of Coins: Hard Times. Material difficulties. Lack of money. People in adversity helping each other.”
I looked at this card this morning and understood and understand it’s imagery and meaning however I also find that for me it speaks to not conforming to society and expressing yourself, your true self to the rest of the world. Being true to oneself may involve some financial difficulties but I think that financial struggles can be transcended through believing in oneself as well as looking and thinking outside the box as to how one can go about earning his or her keep in today’s world. Opportunities are hidden everywhere, we just need to know and understand where and how to look for them.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 4 of Cups and Looking Out for New Opprotunities
After an eight hour work day we had a potluck at work. I volunteered to bring cookies and dessert but I did not feel like making anything as I had a sore shoulder and back and have been mentally exhausted all week so I opted to pick something up at a store bakery. As it was after working all day yesterday all I wanted to do was go home, eating and visiting with everyone was the last thing I wanted to do. Everyone is wonderful but I’m not much for socializing these days.
So after visiting for another hour and a half at work and eating a light meal, my appetizer, if you will, I came home to eat my main course. After dinner, I got a haircut and then we relaxed the rest of the evening before heading off to bed. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Cups: The Audition. A new opportunity or choice presents itself. Everything hangs in the balance. Nervousness, excitement.”
I guess I’ll need to keep my eyes and ears open to something new presenting itself and having the where with all to see it, hear, analyze it, and then make a decision about it. I need to keep an open mind, be in the present (present moment awareness) and be able to look through, around, and in things to be able to see something good that has come my way.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The Man of Swords and Another Day of Work
Yesterday did not go quite as planned. I had a game plan all set to execute: gym, lunch, coffee at the quay, maybe a quick drive to Wal-mart and Lowe’s but that plan came to an end when I answered a telephone call. It was from the Elections BC office, “Can you come into work? We need you in the office today.”
So twenty minutes later I’m working a six hour shift and have to go back into work today. I was tired yesterday too! My back was sore, not so much today, thankfully. And last night was a nice quiet and relaxing evening at home by ourselves. I read a little and also did some writing. I also played around with my two tablets. I’ve decided that one of them will be my Wicca and Witch Tablet.
Thank You Spirit.
I did not hear the usual songbirds this morning however I still found an appreciation for the squawks of the seagulls and the ever complaining chatter of the crows outside the window. Only once did I hear a quick note of music from one of the songbirds as he or she appeared to be trying to sooth and calm a crow.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card fell away from the deck, the “Man of Swords: A rational, scientific approach. A thorough investigation.”
This card inspires me to do some research in areas that interest me, maybe one specific area and see what I can come up with in the terms of reference of my research. I cannot go into any great detail however it is all related to Spirit, to life, to my life, to my opinion on something that may “stir the cauldron a bit”.
Thank You Spirit.

IV The Emperor, the 4 of Coins and Moving Life Forward
The 40th BC General Election is now history and so is my work with Elections BC. The results of the election were shocking and quite unbelievable and brings into question about the accuracy of the polls as well as those responding to the polls as the polls flipped anywhere from about 10-20% where the party that was expected to gain power actually had a worse showing than the previous election. So with this news I’ve decided to abandon any desire to watch the news or pay attention to anything election or politically related. I might not even vote next time as BC has clearly become a province of one party rule. However, having said all of this I’m determined more than ever to move forward with my life and my dreams and get it done. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and yesterday’s visiting Tarot Card is “IV The Emperor: Sometimes one must be a benevolent despot. Organization. Taking charge. An authority figure. Utilizing discipline to provide a structure for creativity.”
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Coins: The Lighting Director. A position of power. Wanting to control how others perceive things.”
I’m trying to be disciplined and respectful of opposing opinions as well as letting others have their say. My life as of last night and today has taken on a new and different meaning and I am now more than ever determined to get my life in order the way I see fit. I think I got a bit of a kick in the you know what to make me push ahead, to truly push ahead in my pursuit of the life I’ve long dreamed of living.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

6 of Swords and Lighter Emotions and Spirit
Another Monday rolls around. Getting down to the last days of work with Elections BC, two more days, maybe a few more, not sure what the work schedule holds after tomorrow’s election.
We had a pleasant day yesterday. We did a bit of shopping met my brother and some friends for brunch, went for a walk along the quay, and I cleaned up my side of the den. I cheated a little bit I guess as I purchased four plastic containers and essentially piled everything on and around my table into them and then slide them under the table. It’s neat and tidy and such a massive weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. I needed to get most of what I put in those containers out of sight and soon out of mind. I need a bit of a release from my handcrafted cards. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “6 of Swords: Peaceful Recovery. Serenity and the passage of time help to heal wounds. Stormy emotions are given time to subside, allowing a plan for a solution.”
This card is right on the mark and time healed some stormy emotions that I’ve been feeling for a couple of years. A solution came into sight and I grasped a hold of it and lightened my emotions and Spirit like I’ve never felt before. Truth and honesty, and a straightforwardness proved to be invaluable yesterday and today is a much brighter day.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 10 of Wands and Overcoming Burdens with the Right Attitude
Had another busy day yesterday. There was a lull in voters around 1:00 or sometime thereabouts but then a steady stream of traffic cam in until about 5:15. I did not have a chance to leave my office or catch my breath. At times the lobby was full of people. To confuse matters more there were also people coming into pick up their supplies for Election Day and I was alone at the front of the office for a time trying to direct traffic and help people cast their ballots. I enjoyed it though as most people after complaining outside my door when confronted with the work and process involved understood why voting early is not as quick and simple as it is on the General Election Day. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Wands: The Burden. Responsibilities. Obligations. Over-committing yourself. Realizing that burdens are a part of life.”
I never see this card as anything but a nice card. For some reason although, I understand what its meaning is, I don’t get that sense when this card appears in front of me. I see the “10 of Wands” as card where although we may be challenged in life with doing things we do not like to do, or those that burden us, we can often rise above these challenges, if you will by focusing on Spirit and the positive energy that is and surrounds us and meet them head on and turn them into opportunities or something better. An over simplification maybe but most of life’s trial and tribulations can be faced with a positive attitude, love, and a smile.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The Guide of Coins and the Gift of Nature
I awoke early enough to get breakfast, make lunch, work with Tarot and write this. We had a quiet evening last night. Dinner was wonderful and the pumpkin pie ice cream we forgot in the freezer for some time was delicious. We watched a bit of telly before letting sleep overtake us and off to bed it was. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Guide of Coins: Seeing the magic in the mundane. Spiritual fulfillment from nature. Finding joy in the ordinary.”
Yes, the simple things in life are what I enjoy most. Walking to work these past few weeks has been a wonderful spiritual and uplifting experience for me. As I walk along the street I take in all of the plant, bird, and animal life I see and allow to caress my heart and soul. Birds serenading the day with their songs, squirrels packing their cheeks with food they will store for a rainy day, cats peering out the windows longing to be outside to chase after the birds and squirrels that will forever remain beyond their reach, dogs taking their owners for one their daily walks and bees buzzing about spreading pollen and collecting it and the nectar each flower brings to feed the hive and spread the gift of life, of nature to the plants within their reach. Aaahhh, the beauty of nature unfolds before us each and every day we take the time to see and experience it.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The Ace of Swords and Strong in Spirit
Had to rush a little bit this morning as I had an early start at work today, 8:00am and I awoke around 6:35am, leaving myself with less than an hour to get have breakfast, make lunch and get dressed for the day. I left about five minutes later than usual to get to work on time but made it into the office with minutes to spare. It’s a good thing we had a quiet evening last night and I got into bed early even with getting home after 8:00pm after my day of work yesterday.
Today was a busy day, a steady flow of early voters and a bit of other work to do. I at least had time to go out for lunch. The turnout for early voting is quite strong so I expect the voter turn out to be higher than the numbers in 2009. I certainly hope the party I vote for wins.
Thank You Spirit!
Spirit Is and this today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Ace of Swords: An idea. Starting to develop a plan or strategy.”
This is certainly true. Visiting my RV got the wheels turning and ideas and plans lurking about my brain. I’ve even made firm decisions on how to proceed with getting the RV back into shape. Making these decisions has really lifted some weight off of my shoulders too! I see more and more of my desires and passions to live life as RVer firming up in reality and this is also making me feel good. I’m wearing more of a permanent smile on my face since Wednesday.
Now more importantly though is that I feel strong in soul and Spirit and I happened to glance at some words I wrote back in April and reading those words made my Spirit soar. This is another area where I’m living closer to Spirit than ever before. I’m back to where I was in 2002-2003 and in many ways better and stronger and Spirit is the centre of my life.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 3 of Coins and Being One With Spirit
All is well in my world. I’ve been given the opportunity of life for yet another day. I have a roof over my head, food in the cupboard, and a world of opportunities ahead of and all around me. Thank You Spirit.
I had a decent day yesterday. I had the place pretty much to myself for a good part of the day, I had the tires changed over on the car, an oil change done on the car, the winter tires put away in storage, and I made a quick visit to my RV. I poked around the RV for awhile, looking things over and trying to decide on a course of action as to how to proceed to get things done. I made decisions on what to do first and then went from there. A few photos later and I was on my way and soon enough back home. Thank You Spirit.
We went out for a walk along the quay, meeting a friend along the way to enjoy the Sun as it set and good conversation. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “2 of Coins: Tai Chi. “Going with the flow.” Living in tune with your environment.”
I am doing my best to work with the world, the environment I live in, and my surroundings. I’m learning how to sense and feel the energy that ebbs and flows through our lives and how it influences our own energy and Spirit. I am “in tune” more often than not these days and feel like I am slowly being led on a journey. I likely resist more than I should. Spirit is patient with us most of the time and I think that this is one of those times as slow as I am making this journey I am learning much along the way.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Blessed Be.

3 of Coins and Being Thankful
Happy Birthday Dad! My Dad is 74 today. Wow!
I had a quieter yet still busy and steady day at work yesterday and thankfully I had enough time between voters or groups of voters to take a quick break to drink a glass or two of water and/or take a bathroom break unlike the previous day. The Sun is still shining brightly but the accompanying heat has given way to cooler and more comfortable temperatures more typical for our area. Thank You Spirit.
We had a quiet evening after a quick venture out to get our all season tires out of storage so we can get the winters taken off and the car prepped for another summer season. After our tire fetching we had a quick dinner and then relaxed for the evening. As we watched little telly I contemplated my future, in particular how to go about moving forward with life in an RV. Ventriloquism, Spirituality, and my favourite hobby in the world seem to be the winners as to how I will move forward with income earning potentials. Making handcrafted greeting cards may be there but will take a backseat to the others so it would seem. I’m not sure where these thoughts originated however they are strong and convincing so-to-speak. Powerful thoughts that override my idea of making and selling handcrafted greeting cards on the road. I’ll let this or these new ideas percolate for awhile and take some time, more like make time to work on ventriloquism, spirituality, and my hobby and how they might work, how to make them work with my planned nomadic ways. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Cards is the “3 of Coins: A Child’s Room. Creating a positive environment for someone. Work done for the pleasure of it.”
This re-enforces my thoughts of yesterday, last night, and this morning about being thankful for this gift of life I receive each and every day and how the work I’m doing now and for the last 3 weeks or so if such a pleasure to do I do not even think about the income I earn from it. This hearkens to how I feel when I make cards, bead, or spool-knit and even as I make dinners or desserts or fold the laundry. I have a much greater sense of and appreciation for the work I do and I’m thankful for it. This thankfulness and work ethic is what helps to create a positive environment.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Man of Coins and Focusing on the Important Things
Another quiet evening at home last night and we opened all of our windows to get a nice cross breeze going to try and cool down our place as the Sun shone brightly and heated it up as we both were away at work. Beautiful weather harkening me to hit the open road and follow my dreams and my heart and the pull of Spirit to places just over the horizon. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Cars is the “Man of Coins: Responsible and hardworking. Reliable. Dependable.”
This is not me in the slightest, well maybe I shouldn’t be so hard on myself as it does depend on the situation or circumstance. I can be hardworking, reliable, and dependable and even responsible but it is easier for me to take on these characteristics when it involves things I love to do and have a passion for. Such as when I make cards for others or if it is something done for family or good friends or my partner. I guess I’m not so bad after all but there is always room for improvement.
I guess I also need to take this to heart concerning my finances as well as we all should. Taking on debt only when necessary and then paying that debt off as quickly as possible. Being debt free and learning to have and focus only on what we need gives us greater financial freedom to focus more on our passions and dreams. We need to de-clutter our lives and keep them clean and simple and unburdened with possessions we may not really need.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

5 of Cups and Learning From Our Mistakes
We awoke, took a stroll along the quay, and did a bit of shopping before going back home to a bit of cleaning and then get some dinner on a for another dinner for a friend. We had a great visit and enjoyed a meal of pulled pork sandwiches and pecan pie before calling it a night. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “5 of Cups: The Aftermath. Regret over past actions.”
I think I need to rise above the fray and take a good and full time out to cleanse, purify and recharge myself. I also need to break free from repeating patterns in my life, worry about things I have no control over, and wishful thinking without action. I need to learn from my mistakes. I need to build on my faith and trust so I can myself to believe, believe in the love and beauty of life no matter what gets in the way as life is always and will forever be an amazing gift.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Guide of Cups and My Nomadic Heart
I had another busy day at, could only squeeze in a ten minute lunch and was right back into helping people vote. This is one of my best work experiences I’ve had. A few hiccups here and there but what an overall great experience with just over a week to go before it’ll be all over.
I had to then get home and cleaned up before we headed out to meet friends for dinner and then a cruise. The cruise was nice but noisy as they brought in a DJ to entertain us with her music magic that she played way too loud. But the three hours was a little long for us as we are not the social butterflies as many people believe however we did survive with no problems. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the” Guide of Cups: Messages from your heart. Altruism.”
Mine is an adventurous heart and at heart I am a nomad through and through. Traveling with no clear destination in mind is what makes me most happy. This is the message I received upon setting my eyes upon today’s Tarot Card; I need to travel and just travel with no particular goal or destination in mind. I must follow the road, the desire of my heart and be open to and learn from the new experiences that come my way. I feel like I’m on a quest, maybe a spiritual and humanistic quest to find the Holy Grail that is my life. I'm not sure where this idea of the "Holy Grail that is my life" came from but I'm leaving it here on this page as that is what blurted out of my fingers as they hit the keys and type, typed away...
Thank You Spirit.

Man of Cups and Decisions?
We got up and got on with our day fairly quickly yesterday. We went out for groceries, returned home, then got out to enjoy the day. We ventured over to Delta to take a stroll through Watershed Park, a small parcel of land that Delta has put aside as park reserve land. It is a second growth coniferous forest with eleven kilometers of trails that wend their way through the 153 hectare park with very poor signage, so pay attention.
After getting lost and spending an hour finding our way out of the park and back to the car we set to grab a bite to eat as we were famished from roaming the park for two hours, our short hike turned into more of an adventure than we were anticipating. We hit a small strip mall and headed on into Subway. Since we were so close we reserved room for dessert, a doughnut and coffee from Krispy Kreme. Then onward home we went.
After a quick clean up and shower we met our friends and headed on over to Cockney Kings for a dinner of beer and fish n chips, well some of us had a beer. We came back home for an after dinner visit, tea, and dessert, an almond cake with dark chocolate from Ikea.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is a repeat visitor, the “Man of Cups: An emotional adventurer. Tendency to want to emotionally rescue others. Drawn to emotional crises.”
I really do need a take a vacation and think things through, to be on my own for a day or two so I can clear my head, not be responsible for anything and just let myself breath and be me for a spell. A decision I need to obviously make is weighing heavily on me. Just simply acknowledging that I appear to be at a crossroads in my life is a big step in moving forward and making the progress I need to make in order to take that next big, or heck even little step to get on with it. I think this obvious need to make a decision in decisions in my life is well represented by the doorway or gateway we came across while walking through Watershed Park. Here is a photo of this wonderful gateway or threshold we passed through yesterday:

Man/Knight of Cups and Taking Time for Ourselves
A single day off before another day of work before my second day off for the week. I’ll be working five days a week until election day here in BC. Had another quiet evening after a hectic day at the office. I was the busiest person in the office as I was covering the front desk/reception and taking calls as well as handling people coming in to apply for jobs, an, interview, or to vote early. I had no time to think from after lunch right up and slightly past 5:00pm. Made the day fly by and a worthwhile day of work. It was a great feeling to be busy and full of energy. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the Man of Cups: An emotional adventurer. Tendency to want to emotionally rescue others. Drawn to emotional crises.”
I think I definitely need a “time out”, time to myself, to be free from all the encumbrances of life and let myself truly and simply “be”. Actually, I’ve been craving solitude for a long time and one thing I’ve discovered it is near impossible to find the type of solitude I crave in an urban environment or thriving city are such as metro Vancouver. The closest I get t this is to be working on my RV. My RV as messy as she is, is my sanctuary, my little oasis in this bustling city that seems as if it is almost bursting at the seams.
One of my horoscopes suggested releasing my biggest dreams out to the universe and this is what I did. I asked the universe to fulfill my innate desire and passion to explore this great land of ours by RV, to allow me to experience life the way that seems to fit my greatest needs. I have released my greatest desire over to the universe and will see where the universe decides to take or to lead me.
Thank You Spirit.

9 of Cups and Be Gernerous With Your Smiles
I’ve received more working hours with Elections BC so I’ll be working a full five days a week until Election Day. I thoroughly enjoy what I am doing in the district electoral office and the people I meet on a daily basis. Everyone is so happy that they can vote in the election even though they’ll be out of town and country. Thank you Spirit.
We had a lousy dinner and another quiet evening at home although I did work in the kitchen for a time making two batches of some very simple peanut butter cookies to bring with to work today. I love baking and want to do more however work and earning a living as they say must come first but alternative ideas to holding down an actual job are percolating in my mind. All of which can be done while living and traveling in the RV. Some of my dreams involve my RV such as the acknowledgement that yes, she may be old but we can simply fix her and make her as good as new. I then awoke feeling pretty darned good, a bit tired perhaps but feeling happy. My tiredness will disappear once I get back into the gym and start working out again. My cold has pretty much disappeared. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “9 of Cups: Serendipity. Satisfaction. Everything is going well.” I say be generous with your smiles today and spread smiles and happiness around the globe.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Self-Hatred and Being Yourself
Blessed Beltane. The Goddess and God have come together to give birth to all of nature. Let life spring forth and begin anew. Thank Gracious Goddess and Gracious God.
Another steady day of work yesterday that had a bit of a strange feeling to it. I kind of felt like I was late for something or that I needed to be somewhere else. When I got home and had time to relax and simply “be” an image of me enjoying life in my RV came to mind along with the thought that this is where I’m supposed to be. My passion and dream of RVing is behind schedule I see as this was like me seeing an alternate reality where had I made different decisions in the past this, living life in an RV would be mine this present day. However, in knowing that I am neither filled with anxiety nor regret as I know RVing is my new way of life and it’s just a tad bit behind schedule that is all. Thank You Spirit.
Another quiet evening at home last night and how did we, did I spend it? Reading, writing, and be-ing and then off to bed.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “XV Self-Hatred: The trap to avoid for all minorities. Unconsciously accepting societal norms. Low self-esteem". This is a reminder that I’m close to falling into that trap of being corralled like the rest of society and following the masses and this is something I wish not to do and want to avoid at all costs. I truly want to be myself and walk to the beat of my own drum. I want to live the life I most desire and do it without worry of those who will judge and criticize for following the path of my choosing.
Thank You Spirit.
