A Trip Out of Town and the 10 of Wands and 5 of Coins

Saturday, May 18, 2013.  Writing to you from Seattle. Spending a  couple of days here as we're taking in a ballet. The motel is nice although the room is just beds, not a suite and the breakfast nook is just that a nook that fits very few people. However, breakfast was good--bacon, eggs, a waffle, coffee, and an orange juice. I'm just a little disappointed in that I did not have any private time to myself. I like my alone and silent time.

The drive down was pretty good, took an hour to get to the border and an hour to get through. Had showers most of the way and traffic was light to moderate. And we had dinner at Bob's Burgers--good food.

Thank you Spirit.

Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the "10 of Wands: The Burden. Responsibilities. Obligations. Overcommitting yourself. Realizing that burdens are a part of life."

I'm not seeing life's journey as being full of burdens anymore. I see life as a journey that has many events in it but our attitudes are what makes the difference as to how burdensome life is and how we work through and overcome them.

Thank you Spirit.

Blessed Be.

Sunday, May 19, 2013.  We’re back at home.  The trip to Seattle was nice, a bit quick, and too much driving.  The return trip involved a few stops and reminded me of why I want to get out of the rat race and live my life my own way.  Consumerism drives me nuts.  We made it through the border in less than ten minutes—a breeze compared to the one hour it took on Friday.  Thank You Spirit.

This morning I did work with Tarot and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the 5 of Coins: Hard Times.  Material difficulties.  Lack of money.  People in adversity helping each other.”

I looked at this card this morning and understood and understand it’s imagery and meaning however I also find that for me it speaks to not conforming to society and expressing yourself, your true self to the rest of the world.  Being true to oneself may involve some financial difficulties but I think that financial struggles can be transcended through believing in oneself as well as looking and thinking outside the box as to how one can go about earning his or her keep in today’s world.  Opportunities are hidden everywhere, we just need to know and understand where and how to look for them.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.
