Another light and easy day yesterday I made time to the gym and work on my crafty cards after a morning or researching jobs and sending out my resume to a few prospective employers. I’m really inspired with making cards, a great business to undertake but not anywhere enough to support myself financially. My ideal job is working my crafts however if I have to get another job in the meantime, I’d love to work in a new age kind of shop such as the ones I visited down in Washington and Oregon—Tenzing Momo, Edge of the Circle Books, Things Rich and Strange, Bohemian Candle or A Gypsy's Whimsy. So, if anyone out there knows of a place in the Metro Vancouver, British Columbia region I’d love to work at such a place or maybe we can team up a create a store of our own. A lovely idea.

It’s great that I value the opinions of others and respect their views and what not however, I need to give myself credit too and I should trust my authority over others’ more often than not. My life is to live my way, at least most of the time anyway. Should do my best to live my life my way as it is my life after all and I at least on occasion should know what’s best for me more than what others may think I should do or be doing with it! I've given up on doing a lot of things because I've been so worried about what other people may think instead of thinking about how I feel or why the things I want to do are so important to me. If they are important to me then I should give my desires more weight go for it, once in awhile. I'm not doing anything dangerous, immoral or illegal so why the worry about others' opinions?

We are Greater Than We Are the Sage of Wands
So on Saturday while in Seattle we took in the U District Street Fair after a coffee break/pit stop at Cloud City Coffee during the late morning and early afternoon before heading off to lunch in the Capitol Hill area at a restaurant that will remain nameless due the lousy food we had there. We also stopped in at the Edge of the Circle Books —a favourite store of mine, but I walked out of there empty handed but that’s perfectly fine with me—the ring I really liked was just not meant to be on my finger. We headed to one of my favourite stores at Pike Place Market, Tenzing Momo where I picked up a copy of Withes and Pagans and the 150th issue of Parabola magazine. Spirit was strong in both of my favourite stores.
Saturday evening we took in an excellent performance by the Les Ballets Trokadero de Monte Carlo. It was wonderful to see a stage full of men dancing Swan Lake and a couple of other lesser know ballets—highly recommended!
Oh, on our way down to Seattle, actually while trying to make our way to the border I noticed a sign for Tynehead R.V. Camp along Highway #1 and I felt a need to take note of this place for future reference and a place to park my RV for awhile. While zipping along I-5 I noticed quite a few RVs that stirred up my desire to be driving my own RV to new and familiar places living the life of my dreams. This also happened while we were traipsing through the U District Street Fair as many of the vendors had arts and crafts style products display as well as for sale. Intriguing, enticing, and inspirational—I can do that, I will do that—that’s what my RV is for, a traveling crafter’s studio.

As I sat here last night listening to a few songs that played on the radio in a few different places we visited over the weekend, a single thought plays through my mind and that is that “we are much greater than we are”. We are much greater than we are or are allowed to be by a society gone mad over money and possessions. Is this simply a rant or the stark reality of the world we live in today? This afternoon as a friend browsed through a discount retail outlet mall as we headed back home, my Spirit sank and cried; only finding solace with a tree planted in the midst of this crazy place of mass consumerism. Thank You Spirit. Then we drove a little while longer before stopping for lunch and my Spirit soared as I heard and listened intently and Spiritually to the Beatles as they sang “Let it Be”.
We are much greater than we are; look in the mirror for the answer; look beyond your own reflection, see what’s behind it and there you will find the answer as to how you, how you can be greater than you are; how each of us can be greater that we are.

As I look at this card and think about its message to me for this day I hear the song “I Hear You Calling” as sung by Chalice and Blade and in fact now have it playing in the background as I write this.
We are much greater than we. Please remember this…we are much greater than we are and we all have so much more to offer this world that is sorely in need of a new yet old way of thinking.

Overnight Shopping Trip to Seattle
On a snowy Wednesday morning, the 19th of December we set off for our overnight trip to Seattle. As we drove the snow became heavy and thick and we were questioning ourselves as to whether or not we should continue on with our journey. The roads were empty so onward we went. As we neared the border and customs the snow let up and it became somewhat dry.
We quickly crossed the border and were truly on our way down to Seattle. As we approached Everett, the rain started and got heavier the closer we got to Seattle and so did the traffic that was moving at a snails pace. But we made real good time as it only took us about two and a half hours to make the trip. We arrived at the hotel very early, about five or six hours before check-in however they let us check-in early.
Seattle was wet for our visit but we still did our best to enjoy ourselves and our shopping which we did and completed all in one place - Pike Place Market. I discovered Tenzing Momo where I picked up a book, magazine and some great incense. My partner made purchases at Ed Newbold, Wildlife Artist and Raven's Nest Treasure.
