Friday, September 30, 2016. Let's see. Where to begin? Sleep was feeling as long as it has been for the last week or so and much longer than the six or seven hours that I'm in bed for. Really seem odd to me but that's how I feel when I awake. This morning though I awoke feeling sleepy still, maybe even tired and I'm blaming this on the dreams I had...my partner in the two dreams I had just before awaking...and I knew that I was dreaming and the dreams changed once I focused on them...things are not always as they seem.
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is the "Four of Vessels: The universe responds favourably to a decisive, forward momentum while boredom leaves a person in a state of inaction. There are many reasons for feeling disenchanted or trapped in life. The causes of the malaise and the feeling of being weathered by routine or beaten down by conflict are common, but in the end it is from ourselves that the first sparks of momentum must emanate. Emotionally frozen or discouraged people become 'black holes' of despair, into which all light and positive energy fall, and fail to return. However, the keys required to allow energy to flow and enlighten the individual again are almost always present, even though they may remain unseen. But if you ask a question of the universe, the universe will answer. It has no choice. Nature abhors a vacuum and it will throw so many opportunities into your path that your head will spin. All you have to do is recognize and acknowledge the proffered doorways, and step through them. Challenge should not be feared; opportunity should be grasped and utilized to its natural limit."
My days at the job are too much routine and same old, same old for me. My weekends are exciting and full of exciting activity because I spend more active time with Spirit, Tarot, my model railroad and last but not least my partner. I'm more engaged in life, in living life and allowing life to live me. But Monday through Friday, boredom is what challenges me even though some days are hectic and busy from start to finish.
And I guess I can build up some momentum on the weekends and do my best to carry it through the week so that the my energy and the energy that surrounds me is both positive and forward moving. Right now my momentum quite slow but at least is creeping forward. I need to find a way to burst this dam, so-to-speak, that I'm behind so I can get caught up in a mighty wave of power and energy that pushes me away from the job, my debt and my stationary life and into the free-spirited life I am seeking.

Thursday, September 29, 2016. Sleep was good to me last night and the alarm gently serenaded us from our slumber. I had a couple of interesting dreams however I've forgotten them both. Too many hours have passed and too busy of a day to get my thoughts on them.
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is the "Queen of Arrows, Swan: A state of separation may exist, bringing with it sorrow, privation and misfortune. You may need to break old bonds and find new rivers in which to swim if you are to move beyond this place of darkness and loss. Purity, Loss, Change, Suffering, Song, Absence, Security, Freedom after strife."
I decided that I needed some clarification for the "Queen of Arrows" so I looked at the bottom of the deck as some use this card as a clarifying or balancing card to the actual "Card of the Day".
Today's clarifying card is "0 The Wanderer: You have come to a junction or turning point in your life. It may be an unconscious state in which you feel the tide has turned or sense something is going to happen. In a way it already has. Your spirit must move on and the desire to leap into the unknown beckons. This may mean leaving behind or giving up some baggage or burden that you have carried with you from the past. Now is the time to be clear and not let fear of falling or sad disillusion with the universe hold you back. Let your imagination carry you into a new set of possibilities. It is a time to travel hopefully and open your arms to new and challenging aspects of the universe."
So with some clarification I am drawn to the suggestion that we need to "find new rivers in which to swim if" we "are to move beyond this place of darkness and loss" as our spirit(s) must move on and the desire to leap into the unknown beckons." Movement beyond where we're at is the message of this day. I feel like I'm in a place of darkness due to the job I have. I know it's not that bad however I feel a strong need to move on but I'm fear to up and quite because of the amount of debt I'm dealing with. At the same however I know the action I need to take if I am to move on.

Wednesday, September 28, 2016. Slept quite well but awoke early so I did my best to meditate as I dozed...focusing on how I'd prefer to live my life instead of how I'm living it now...my focus was less than perfect.
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is “V The Priest: The best way to help others is to help them make their own decisions. Wisdom. Advice. A ceremony or ritual.”
As I was working out at the gym after work, a phrase on a guy's t-shirt caught my attention, a piece of advice-"Just Don't Quit". Thank you very much for that little piece of advice. And that is just what I am determined to do...no quitting for me except that I'm quitting my day job and turning to a full-time career as a Spiritual Guidance Counsellor and a Tarot Reader...I need to quit so I can move into an important and new phase of life...
Advice and making your decisions are the important facets of today. The energy is there to assist and guide you so seek some sage advice, examine every bit and piece of said advice and then make a decision. After making your decision, contemplate how and why you made it, empower yourself to make your next decision on your own without seeking someone else's advice. Keep the power within yourself. Be responsible and take responsibility for your life and your actions.

Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Another long night of sleep...nice to be sleeping so well and it feels much longer than the six or seven hours I'm asleep. I still feel like I'm sleeping ten or twelve hours.
Spirit is and today's Tarot Energy is the “5 of Wands: The Hockey Game. The project meets resistance. Testing one’s ideas against others. An enjoyable struggle. Competition in the marketplace."
I like the idea of "Testing one’s ideas against others". And I guess I need to try this out to see where my ideas sit in the world of ideas whether it be my model railroad or getting into the world of spiritual counselling or working with Tarot and helping others find their way in life.
I'm also enjoying myself as I struggle to make my new life happen but I do not see it so much as a struggle as I see it being a form of exercise where I'm increasing my strength, energy, passion, perseverance, ability to counsel, ability to read Tarot and my connection with Spirit. And not to forget making it easier for me to "Pay It Forward".
I also feel that the energy of the day is also about not falling into the trap of seeing life as a game or a competition. Life is about reaching our highest potentials and making sure that everyone's life matters.

Monday, September 26, 2016. Awoke at 4:45am feeling very much wide awake but crawled back into bed after a bathroom break and fell asleep after tossing and turning for a bit. And then after what seemed hours and hours and a movie like dream the alarm serenaded us out of our slumber. I was thinking I was oversleeping but not at all. My dream revolved around several of us working with or observing a rectangular vertical object that could be held in the hands or freestanding as it was either on a table, workbench, or kitchen island. This was the dream that appeared to last forever. And a word beginning with the letter "Y" figured prominently and the word was seven, eight, or maybe nine letters long.
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is "VI The Lovers: A relationship is always a mingling of differences. A powerful relationship. Seeing both sides of an issue. Flexibility.”
Not that it should not appear today however this card is worn and a bit bent out of shape so is in my view likely to pop up more often. But with having said that I do see the value and merit of this card for today. It's all about the energy in the air and the energy today at least from where I stand is all about "Seeing both sides of an issue" and "Flexibility.” We always need to give everything and anything we are dealing a 360 degree spin so we can see all sides of them. Imagine a spinning globe where you can look and observe every square millimetre of it and where depending on the type of globe you can very detailed information about what is on it. We can do this our everyday lives too. Not everything we encounter or have to make decisions about require or demand snap or impulsive decisions. Take a breath, connect with your core, your inner self, give it some thought and see where your inner guide takes you. And flexibility is not weakness, it's just another facet of how we move through life.

Sunday, September 26, 2016. Pretty much ourselves a lazy day yesterday. We ventured out for a couple of quick walks, one before lunch to do some banking and grab lunch and then another in the afternoon after our grocery run where we walked the booths set up for New Westminster's Riverfest.
I spent most of the day communing with Spirit or poking around my model railroad, not expending a whole lot of energy doing either but simply letting these be as they needed to be for the day.

The important aspects of the day are represented by the "Six of Bows, Abundance." It's time to give thanks for and the bounty we have been given today and perhaps even throughout the year. And the best way for us to give thanks is to share our blessings with others, paying it forward so-to-speak. We can do this through kind words, helping others do their chores or other work as needed, cleaning up our streets, or simply through a smile.
Then we must pay attention to the personal issues that are represented by the "Two of Vessels: Attraction." I think this is about paying attention to all of the overlying and underlying messages and signals that people are sending to us. We can best do that when we project our spirits out into the world as we should be doing on a daily basis. Our spirits should be the first thing people notice about us. When we go out into the world spiritually then we are less likely to have negative feelings and/or reactions t the daily machinations of life that bombard us throughout the day. This then leads to more productive and engaging relationships whether based on intimacy, friendship, or as a co-worker.
What we need to be on the lookout for (feelings, desires, reaction) is represented by the "Four of Arrows, Rest." Exercise, rest, a healthy and meaningful diet, and positive engagement in daily life are needed to keep us balanced and full of the stamina and vitality needed to awake feeling refreshed and ready for the new day each of us is blessed with as we open our eyes and see that that we have been given another day to live purposeful and fulfilling lives.

Saturday, September 24, 2016. Was trying to do everything at once last night so all I did a whole lot of nothing...didn't accomplish much or so I thought...but things were happening however all under the surface and very spiritual and transformative. The Citrine, Quartz Point and Selenite emanate a lot of energy and every time I hold any or all these in my hand or have them in my pocket as I do now I feel a lot vibration, energy, and power especially in the spiritual and subconscious realms. And surprisingly, I finished reconstructing my Chakra Gemstone Chip Bracelet last night and am wearing it now. Feels good to have it back on.
When I decided to make a visit to Reflections Books I was not expecting to purchase anything let alone the items I walked out of the store with. But upon entering the store I was immediately stopped at the Tarot display along the wall and my eyes were drawn to one single deck, the Shaman Tarot. However, I decided to scan the other decks on display as well but the Shaman Deck kept drawing my attention. I took a look at it and was taken in by what I read however I returned the deck to the shelf and browsed the store. I decided to grab a few things and finalize my purchase but the Shaman Deck kept calling out to me and the store clerk had finished ringing up my purchases then I saw Llewellyn's 2017 Magical Almanac so I grabbed it and ignored the Shaman Deck but it was not giving up on me. So after a minute or two or maybe three I grabbed the deck and added it my purchases. I'm glad I did. I know without even removing the plastic wrapping and opening the box that the Shaman Deck and I have a much needed journey to take with one another.
As I crawled into and settled in bed, closing my eyes and relaxing my way to sleep, Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot came into my mind to pay a visit. Throughout the night between dreams of my spiritual life and work as well as a few snippets of images from the job, the Thoth Deck spoke to me so I decided to work with it this morning.
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is "XX The Aeon. You are being challenged to drop your >>worm's eye view,<< to see things from a higher plane. When you have recognized greater timespans (aeons) and other contexts (which you are increasingly ready to do), you will then tend more and more to observe things in their being-ness: to see free from evaluations: Meditate on the following statement: One sign of ignorance is indicated by some belief in injustice and unhappiness. Which methods will you use to gain deeper insight and greater wisdom? God is the Unknown, the mysterious. The more I know that I don't know, the closer I am to the Divine. It is life itself, and no longer the limited individual consciousness, which becomes the source of all judgment."
I have nothing to add to this. I simply look into the card and get lost in its symbolism and imagery and become one with it. The message is clear if we lose ourselves in this card and more specifically the energy it brings to this day, let life live you and lose your individuality into life itself and become a part of the universal consciousness and that it is!
