Sunday, September 26, 2016. Pretty much ourselves a lazy day yesterday. We ventured out for a couple of quick walks, one before lunch to do some banking and grab lunch and then another in the afternoon after our grocery run where we walked the booths set up for New Westminster's Riverfest.
I spent most of the day communing with Spirit or poking around my model railroad, not expending a whole lot of energy doing either but simply letting these be as they needed to be for the day.
Spirit Is and today's Card of Day Spread and Tarot Energy is the "Six of Bows, Abundance: The Wheel turns and the time to enjoy the fruits and rewards of the summer season has arrived. Patience acknowledges the plentiful bounty which delivers gifts and rewards for your efforts. Now is the time to allow this generous feeling of well-being to flow freely through and around you, and to enjoy the pleasures and sustenance these healing and revitalizing gifts can offer. Sometimes, after a period of stress and hard struggle, the process of healthy relaxation is vital to re-arm and re-energize the spirit in preparation for the challenges of the coming winter. The joy of sharing and gifting your own abundance with others is also a natural part of the process and brings its own inner peace and satisfaction. Your gifts to others will bring solace during the coming seasons and remind everyone that the Wheel continues to turn on its inevitable and stoical journey. Give thanks and accept the blessings of the changes that occur in life at this time. We share the bounty of the forest and commune with the Wildwood denizens in our everyday life."/"Two of Vessels: Attraction: The first shared spark of attraction between two human beings can simple and uncomplicated on the surface , but the underlying psychological chemistry and the subtle interplay that ignites that magical first exchange is usually complex and eclectic. As human beings, we absorb millions of subliminal signals and messages from those around us, and we unconsciously process these stimuli and react to them every second of every day. We subconsciously absorb body language, scent and non-vocal communication and react to them emotionally with impulses and decision-making instincts developed over millennia. Taking an instantaneous dislike to someone is governed by the same set of prehistoric sensory drives developed by human beings when we roamed freely across the African savannah; 'love at first sight' is as valid today as it was then. Our perceptions and signals are shared, acknowledged and reciprocated, breaking through the protective barriers and forming the initial polaric bond that is the foundation of deep and lasting attraction."/"Four of Arrows, Rest: In this stressful and demanding world, we sometimes forget that rest is a necessary part of a healthy lifestyle and sleep a vital part of recuperation and the healing process. This primal mechanism is not just for the well-being of the body but the mind and imagination as well. Muscles need time to repair and rebuild after strenuous exertion, and the functions of the human psyche need dreams and sleep to aid the process, bringing order to what sometimes seems chaos and random machinations of daily life. Sometimes, inspiration and insight can also come through restful meditation and lucid dreaming. Welcome these insights joyfully and take note of what your subconscious is saying to you. One of the first human instincts when confronted with a survival situation in any wild environment is to find or build a shelter to provide protection from the elements and act as a safe place to rest and sleep in safety. Without that basic human security requirement, survivors often become disoriented, make poor decisions and become unable to physically complete simple and necessary tasks, eventually losing hope. Rest and sleep are vital to restore stamina and vitality."
The important aspects of the day are represented by the "Six of Bows, Abundance." It's time to give thanks for and the bounty we have been given today and perhaps even throughout the year. And the best way for us to give thanks is to share our blessings with others, paying it forward so-to-speak. We can do this through kind words, helping others do their chores or other work as needed, cleaning up our streets, or simply through a smile.
Then we must pay attention to the personal issues that are represented by the "Two of Vessels: Attraction." I think this is about paying attention to all of the overlying and underlying messages and signals that people are sending to us. We can best do that when we project our spirits out into the world as we should be doing on a daily basis. Our spirits should be the first thing people notice about us. When we go out into the world spiritually then we are less likely to have negative feelings and/or reactions t the daily machinations of life that bombard us throughout the day. This then leads to more productive and engaging relationships whether based on intimacy, friendship, or as a co-worker.
What we need to be on the lookout for (feelings, desires, reaction) is represented by the "Four of Arrows, Rest." Exercise, rest, a healthy and meaningful diet, and positive engagement in daily life are needed to keep us balanced and full of the stamina and vitality needed to awake feeling refreshed and ready for the new day each of us is blessed with as we open our eyes and see that that we have been given another day to live purposeful and fulfilling lives.
Thank You Spirit.

Card of the Day Spread - XIV Temperance, Four of Chalices, and Novice of Chalices
Sunday, September 18, 2016. As much as I enjoy awaking in the dark of the morning, it sure felt good to find that I slept in this morning, not opening my eyes until almost 7:00am. Likely because I didn't crawl into bed until about 11:00pm...Tarot Cards and model railroading were keeping me awake and from wanting to go to bed.
But what a wonderful day I had yesterday. I didn't step out of the condo once unless you count going out onto the balcony as going outside...I took in fresh air as well as searched for the Moon and painted a few more pieces from one of the structures for my model railroad. I've noticed that every day leading up to the Full Moon, she is visible from our deck but on the night of the Full Moon, she's hidden by our building, the building we live in. I have to make the effort to get outside on the night's of the Full Moon as well as the Sabbats, maybe even the esbats.
So I spent the day yesterday contemplating the Card of the Day spread as well as working on my model railroad layout...both being quite productive...light, love, peace, compassion, and empathy fill me to overflowing and flow forth for all to see or so I hope. And the model railroad is showing some progress as well as rebuilding some parts of it to better reflect the look I'm trying to create. I was going to say "want" initially but something stopped me from using that word and I get a sense that's because the layout is in a sense is creating itself and I'm just the hands to manifest it in the physical world...sounds a bit weird, crazy even but that's how it feels...hence the slow progress.
Spirit Is and today's Pagan Tarot Card of the Day spread is XIV Temperance, the Four of Chalices, and the Novice of Chalices.
The important aspects of the day are represented by "XIV Temperance - Rhythm and flow of the patterns of our lives is most important, as we struggle to balance ourselves while trying to be in several different places at once; we must allow ourselves to be where we are needed, to allow the signs to show us where to go, and not try to polarize our attentions."
We must "allow the signs to show us where to go, and not try to polarize our attentions" and for me this is the road I was referring to yesterday, the road that has been laid out before me and that I must follow. The road of spiritual pursuits and endeavours.
Then we must pay attention to the personal issues that are represented by the "Four of Chalices: Our Witch has made herself a lovely picnic to enjoy in a quiet park. She doesn't look too happy, though, as she appears disappointed in the three cups she has brought with her. Their beauty and appeal are overshadowed by a very fancy, ornate cup that she holds in her imagination. Dissatisfaction can erode happiness. Don't let pointless criticism make you bitter. At the same time, it's okay to be unsatisfied with what you have and dream of something more. Make sure you focus on how to make the dream a reality and not simply dwell on your current dissatisfaction."
And this is about making sure you (I/we) focus on how to make the dream a reality and not simply dwell on your (our) current dissatisfaction." For me I must come with a plan for how can I move away from my current job and work fulltime as a Spiritual Guidance Counsellor and a What's Your Tarot Guru? Yes, I'm new to this and a novice however I strongly believe and innately know that this is something I must do, have the talent and skills to do and have much to offer those who enlist my services.
What we need to be on the lookout for (feelings, desires, reaction) is represented by the "Novice of Chalices: The suit of Chalices and its corresponding element, Water, is feminine and emotionally nurturing, so a young female with long, flowing brown hair represents this Novice. She wears a long blue gown and moonstone necklace. She intently examines a large ritual chalice. A deer stands nearby on the shore of a beautiful lake. This Novice can be a person full of lofty declarations and intense feeling. She can be prone to daydreaming and idealized expectation as well as admirable focus and dedication."
We must ensure that we are working with tangible and achievable goals rather than "lofty declarations" or "daydreaming and idealized expectation(s)." We must develop realistic and achievable goals through much thought and planning. We need to create a blueprint from which we can work where we build a solid foundation for ourselves first that can support our goals and aspirations.
Thank You Spirit.
