Saturday, April 15, 2017 "VII The Spinning Shield"

Relaxed a good part of yesterday even though we did some spring cleaning of the other storage locker, one that I'll have to keep for a while longer. Still a few things I'm not ready to part with as well as we need a place to store the seasonal tires. And we also put back in the locker all of the camping gear we had in Serenity. Oh, the camping stove is being recycled though, it's become a rusty mess.

After craving sushi for the past couple of weeks I decided that we should go out and have some so that's what we did, not a difficult task since our old standby sushi place, Ki Sushi is barely a block away. I really enjoyed my "Sushi Dinner".

And after dinner we watched about an hour of "Blade Runner: the Director's Cut". Didn't remember that the time period for the movie is 2019. So far I'm enjoying the movie.

Spirit Is and today's Shaman Tarot Energy is "VII The Spinning Shield: Nothing exists outside of this, life, death, or rebirth. Successful action. Awareness in guiding one's own energies. Physical and mental voyages."I need to reflect and contemplate "VII The Spinning Shield" for a bit since it is a new deck and one I have not worked with very much so I'm only picking faint energy, images and intuitions from it. Although, my eyes and energies are drawn to the phrases:

"Successful action."

Could the successful action be selling Serenity back to the dealership, writing a book, or getting back into nature through camping, my spiritual career or otherwise. As it is in nature where I desire to be.

"Awareness in guiding one's own energies."

I can, should, and must be responsible and take responsibility for guiding my own energies. I can direct and guide my energies and thus my life in any way or manner I wish. I am full of success and welcome and accept the bountiful energy, prosperity, and abundance of Spirit and the Universe into my life. Thus so then the successful action in my life is driven by me and my relationship with life, with Spirit, and with the Universe.

"Physical and mental voyages."

Such voyages are taking place now both in my dreams and here in the physical world. Voyages that are affected by, created and guided by my own thoughts and actions as well as my reactions to the world around me...and from Spirit too!

The Shaman Tarot Three Card Day Spread: XII Initiation, XVIII The Moon of Illusion, and 0 The Sacred Fool

Reading an article in Sage Woman magazine prompted me to use the Shaman Tarot this morning and as I was working with the cards, doing a three card spread filled my mind.

All three cards come the Major Arcana, powerful forces at work here.  Something to take note of.

Card For the Day: "XII Initiation: The sacrifice of a part of oneself in favour of the world of the spirits.  Necessary moments of pause.  Reflection.  A new vision of things."

A time for stillness and reflection, with mind, body, and spirit open to receive a new vision of things.  A new vision of things as in how to deal with a current hiccup (control of finances/debt) in life that we may be dealing before we can or feel we can move on.

Attend to This: "XVIII The Moon of Illusion: The world under the waters, the dark parallel reality.  The realm of the unconscious.  Illusions and uncertainties.  Ambiguity.  The world of dreams.  Visions."

We must keep our minds in check and be on the lookout for illusions masquerading as true visions as it is a bit of an ambiguous day in terms of the energy swirling about us.  Our dreams could off a glint of what actions we need to take or who or where can go for help and/or advice.

What to Look Out For: "0 The Sacred Fool: He who is touched by the spirits.  The traveller of the spiritual world.  Freedom.  The melting away of material ties.  Flowing."

True visions and real and much needed advice from people, nature, spirit or even books and magazines can lead to doorways and/or new paths to freedom gained through the relinquishing of material ties.  Letting go of our physical possessions as in breaking free of the power they hold over us, the power we gave them leads us to a new way of being that allows to flow freely through this world as well as the world of spirits.  Such freedom to flow and travel in such a way strengthens our communication with spirits that empowers us to become much greater than what we think we can be, becoming much greater than ourselves.

The Shaman Tarot's "IX The Seeker of Souls"

After watching "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" I went to bed feeling peculiar, thinking about peculiarities, oddities, the strange and unfamiliar and found myself fast asleep and in a whole new world.  My thoughts were about re-opening my eyes to all of the world that is out there but that moves beyond our adulthood sight because it just possible can't be real and can only exist in childhood fantasy.  But it does exist and many of us see it in one form or another.  It's just hard to talk about it or bring it to light without often being labelled in unflattering terms.

Spirit Is and after settling into a more pure state of being the Shaman Tarot was in my hands and today's Tarot Energy is and I am "IX The Seeker of Souls: The solitary wayfarer, he who silently probes the souls of the World.  Wisdom and experience.  Detachment.  An old master."

Now I understand something about myself as reading this is an apt description of what I feel like I do on a daily basis, "he who silently probes the souls of the World."  And I feel like I being told that I need to practice more "Detachment" in order to do more in and with my spiritual life and career.

Solitude, communing with spirits and detachment are the overlying energies of this day.  So let's all put these into practice and see where the day takes us.

The Queen of Drums and Finding Appreciation and Love For the Simple Things

Much better sleep last night and awoke slightly about thirty seconds before the alarm even turning over and pretty much going back to sleep.  I added the Golden Dawn Tarot Deck to the goodies I have under my pillow--amethyst, labradorite, dumortierite, iolite, shaman stone, citrine, jade, a loonie and my business cards so perhaps my sleep is reflective of that.

Spirit Is and today's Shaman Tarot Energy is the "Queen of Drums, Mother Bear: A person who loves simple things.  Protection, jealousy, excessive caution."

Simple is good, it frees up energy that can be focused on creating a more loving and positive environment for one's self as well as others.  It's also good to be protective of family and friends and cautious too however we must guard against unwarranted jealousy and being overly cautious.  Being protective does not being stifling and smothering.  Being cautious is more often about well thought out plans and ideas, decisions and courses of actions.  As well as being able to deal with and handle as best we can things that turn sideways on us.

Happy New Year! A Visit From the Queen of Stones, Mother of the Seas

Happy New Year!

It was an odd day yesterday as we had no New Year's Eve Dinner to cook or guests to host and I found myself unable to relax.  We had dinner reservations for 9:00 at La Brasserie where we were meeting two of our friends and then we had loose plans that turned into firm plans to meet two other friends for the New Year's Countdown and Fireworks near Canada Place.

So we had lunch and coffee with my brother.  Lunch at Big Star Sandwich and coffee at Old Crow Coffee Company.  Both very nice and relaxing experiences with good company and conversation.

As was our late dinner and late get together for the big finale of 2016.  We spent the night downtown to avoid the crowds returning home to the suburbs on transit.  A great choice as our friends had a bed ready for us and even a big breakfast planned for the morning.  Breakfast which was really lunch by the time we all got up and mobile.

Great experiences all around yesterday!  Thank You Spirit!

Spirit Is and today's Shaman Tarot Energy is "Queen of Stones, Mother of the Seas: Person with great power of imagination, full of resources.  Love for Nature.  Emotionalism."

It's time to put to good use our great power of imagination and love of nature with the resources we have at our disposal.  Many times we may not think we have all that we need however, if we take a step back and look at all that we have, we'll see just how much and how many things we have to not only get started on something but to also keep us going likely almost indefinitely.  I have Tarot Cards, Candles, Incense, Crystals and Stones, Sacred White Sage Room and Body Spray, Aura Cleanser Essence Spray and many books at my disposal.  But then I'm filled the knowledge and wisdom of Spirit that tells me that one of the greatest resources we have and that most of us miss is ourselves.  Go take a look in the mirror and just look at the great resource looking back at you!

The Gift of Spirit, Nature, and Tarot, the Eight of Swords and Walking Our Path with Confidence

Our weekend trip to Victoria has come and gone and we're back home.  I've gained new knowledge, wisdom, and power knowing without a shadow of a doubt that I'm on the right path as Spirit Guide and Tarot Card Reader.

Whether it was the weekend get-a-way, visiting Sooke Potholes Regional Park and witnessing the awesome beauty and power of the Sooke River and being reminded of our connection with nature or being visited by Crow who landed on the top of the car in what I think is a dream or the spiritual and magical power contained in the pages of Sage Woman magazine or the book Spells of Blood and Kin or the power and energy of Tarot as a card is revealed each day or by the power of thoughts and dreams, I am changed this day, having reached for something greater than myself.

We were pulling up to the ferry terminal in Swartz Bay yesterday at about ten minutes before the 4pm sailing, too late for that sailing I thought to myself and way too early for our reserved 5pm sailing however the booth attendant gave us the option to make our way to the 4pm sailing so we took her up on her offer.  Arriving home an hour earlier was a welcomed blessing and our local Boston Pizza was our choice for dinner.

We had time to continue our relaxation and enjoy the quiet time we had.  Sleep was great and having no alarm to wake up to makes this day even better.  Spirit Is and today's Pagan Tarot Energy is the "Eight of Swords: Our Witch is faced with a difficult situation indeed.  Blindfolded and tied up, she is surrounded by a circle of swords.  Her coven mates surround the outside of the situation - they are there for support but not for direct help.  She is imprisoned and must find her own way out.  The exit is unblocked and right in front of her, but she has no way of knowing that.  You may be feeling alone and powerless.  While this is a situation you must face alone, your loved ones are with you in spirit and will help whenever and however they can.  Most importantly, your way out is not difficult.  Continue walking confidently on your path and it will take you straight to freedom."

With the "Eight of Swords" confirming that we "Continue walking confidently on your path and it will take you straight to freedom" is a continuation of the Fool's advice yesterday for us to "reach for something greater than ourselves".  This a firm reminder that the path we are on is the correct one for each of us and that we must never let our confidence be shaken by another for this is who we are meant to be and is the fulfilment of our purpose in life.

The "King of Stones"

The alarm interrupted odd but curious dreams I was having.  I was in no way ready to leave my dreams but awake I was and getting up is what I had to do...and now I cannot remember one of the dreams...drat!

Spirit Is and today's Shaman Tarot Energy is the "King of Stones, Spirit of the Pure Waters: A jovial man with an innate talent for business and opportunities.  Unorthodox ideas, negotiations."

"Unorthodox ideas" seem to win the day for me as I reflect on this "King of Stones".  Curious...hhhmmm...I had an unorthodox idea last evening...I'll take this as a confirmation of that idea.  And unorthodox ideas can give new meaning and life to negotiations...so allow yourself to feel a little empowered if you're thinking outside the box at the moment for such thinking might very well lead you to better and brighter things.  Is it time to go for it?

The "Ace of Drums" and Moving in Sync With Life

I had an understandably sleepless night.  For a spell I perturbed that thoughts and worries about the job took over my night but then it came to me as to why these thoughts were occurring--unfinished job related duties.  If I want to move on to my spiritual career I need to tie up a few loose ends at this job.  I sense that I'm leaving the company and job early in the new year.

Spirit Is and today's Shaman Tarot Energy is Ace of Drums, Drum of the Dance: Life is vibration and movement.  Material affluence, health, the joy of existence, sensuality.

Listen to the drum, let yourself hear it naturally, feel the rhythm with your whole being, let yourself go, carried away with every beat.  You're finally moving in sync with the vibration and movement of life.  You're in harmony with the world and the natural order of things and your life is benefiting from it.  You finally appreciate, understand and embrace the joy of existence.

'XX The Aeon' and Blending In with the Universal Consciousness

Saturday, September 24, 2016.  Was trying to do everything at once last night so all I did a whole lot of nothing...didn't accomplish much or so I thought...but things were happening however all under the surface and very spiritual and transformative.  The Citrine, Quartz Point and Selenite emanate a lot of energy and every time I hold any or all these in my hand or have them in my pocket as I do now I feel a lot vibration, energy, and power especially in the spiritual and subconscious realms.  And surprisingly, I finished reconstructing my Chakra Gemstone Chip Bracelet last night and am wearing it now.  Feels good to have it back on.

When I decided to make a visit to Reflections Books I was not expecting to purchase anything let alone the items I walked out of the store with.  But upon entering the store I was immediately stopped at the Tarot display along the wall and my eyes were drawn to one single deck, the Shaman Tarot.  However, I decided to scan the other decks on display as well but the Shaman Deck kept drawing my attention.  I took a look at it and was taken in by what I read however I returned the deck to the shelf and browsed the store.  I decided to grab a few things and finalize my purchase but the Shaman Deck kept calling out to me and the store clerk had finished ringing up my purchases then I saw Llewellyn's 2017 Magical Almanac so I grabbed it and ignored the Shaman Deck but it was not giving up on me.  So after a minute or two or maybe three I grabbed the deck and added it my purchases.   I'm glad I did.  I know without even removing the plastic wrapping and opening the box that the Shaman Deck and I have a much needed journey to take with one another.

As I crawled into and settled in bed, closing my eyes and relaxing my way to sleep, Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot came into my mind to pay a visit.  Throughout the night between dreams of my spiritual life and work as well as a few snippets of images from the job, the Thoth Deck spoke to me so I decided to work with it this morning.

Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is "XX The Aeon.  You are being challenged to drop your >>worm's eye view,<< to see things from a higher plane.  When you have recognized greater timespans (aeons) and other contexts (which you are increasingly ready to do), you will then tend more and more to observe things in their being-ness: to see free from evaluations:  Meditate on the following statement: One sign of ignorance is indicated by some belief in injustice and unhappiness.  Which methods will you use to gain deeper insight and greater wisdom?  God is the Unknown, the mysterious.  The more I know that I don't know, the closer I am to the Divine.  It is life itself, and no longer the limited individual consciousness, which becomes the source of all judgment."

I have nothing to add to this.  I simply look into the card and get lost in its symbolism and imagery and become one with it.  The message is clear if we lose ourselves in this card and more specifically the energy it brings to this day, let life live you and lose your individuality into life itself and become a part of the universal consciousness and that it is!

Lunchtime Shopping At Reflections Books

Decided to visit Reflections Books and walked out the store with several new purchases and a whole lot of spiritual energy in tow.  As I was driving back the job I felt the strong energy vibrations of all that I purchased from the new Shaman Tarot Deck to Llewellyn's 2017 Magical Almanac to the Chakra Stone Kit to the Ayurvedic Herbal Incense to the Floré Canadian Incense for Cleansing and Purification as well Abundance to the Citrine stones to the Quartz Point and finally to the Selenite Stone.  It was amazing and even now as I have all of these goodies around me the amount of energy I feel coming them all is simply amazing...I'm at a loss for words and likely that's the whole point, isn't it!
