Card of the Day Spread - Six of Bows, Two of Vessels, and the Four of Arrows and Abundance, Attraction, and Rest

Sunday, September 26, 2016.  Pretty much ourselves a lazy day yesterday.  We ventured out for a couple of quick walks, one before lunch to do some banking and grab lunch and then another in the afternoon after our grocery run where we walked the booths set up for New Westminster's Riverfest.

I spent most of the day communing with Spirit or poking around my model railroad, not expending a whole lot of energy doing either but simply letting these be as they needed to be for the day.

Spirit Is and today's Card of Day Spread and Tarot Energy is the "Six of Bows, Abundance: The Wheel turns and the time to enjoy the fruits and rewards of the summer season has arrived.  Patience acknowledges the plentiful bounty which delivers gifts and rewards for your efforts.  Now is the time to allow this generous feeling of well-being to flow freely through and around you, and to enjoy the pleasures and sustenance these healing and revitalizing gifts can offer.  Sometimes, after a period of stress and hard struggle, the process of healthy relaxation is vital to re-arm and re-energize the spirit in preparation for the challenges of the coming winter.  The joy of sharing and gifting your own abundance with others is also a natural part of the process and brings its own inner peace and satisfaction.  Your gifts to others will bring solace during the coming seasons and remind everyone that the Wheel continues to turn on its inevitable and stoical journey.  Give thanks and accept the blessings of the changes that occur in life at this time.  We share the bounty of the forest and commune with the Wildwood denizens in our everyday life."/"Two of Vessels: Attraction: The first shared spark of attraction between two human beings can simple and uncomplicated on the surface , but the underlying psychological chemistry and the subtle interplay that ignites that magical first  exchange is usually complex and eclectic.  As human beings, we absorb millions of subliminal signals and messages from those around us, and we unconsciously process these stimuli and react to them every second of every day.  We subconsciously absorb body language, scent and non-vocal communication and react to them emotionally with impulses and decision-making instincts developed over millennia.  Taking an instantaneous dislike to someone is governed by the same set of prehistoric sensory drives developed by human beings when we roamed freely across the African savannah; 'love at first sight' is as valid today as it was then.  Our perceptions and signals are shared, acknowledged and reciprocated, breaking through the protective barriers and forming the initial polaric bond that is the foundation of deep and lasting attraction."/"Four of Arrows, Rest: In this stressful and demanding world, we sometimes forget that rest is a necessary part of a healthy lifestyle and sleep a vital part of recuperation and the healing process.  This primal mechanism is not just for the well-being of the body but the mind and imagination as well.  Muscles need time to repair and rebuild after strenuous exertion, and the functions of the human psyche need dreams and sleep to aid the process, bringing order to what sometimes seems chaos and random machinations of daily life.  Sometimes, inspiration and insight can also come through restful meditation and lucid dreaming.  Welcome these insights joyfully and take note of what your subconscious is saying to you.  One of the first human instincts when confronted with a survival situation in any wild environment is to find or build a shelter to provide protection from the elements and act as a safe place to rest and sleep in safety.  Without that basic human security requirement, survivors often become disoriented, make poor decisions and become unable to physically complete simple and necessary tasks, eventually losing hope. Rest and sleep are vital to restore stamina and vitality."
The important aspects of the day are represented by the "Six of Bows, Abundance."  It's time to give thanks for and the bounty we have been given today and perhaps even throughout the year.  And the best way for us to give thanks is to share our blessings with others, paying it forward so-to-speak.  We can do this through kind words, helping others do their chores or other work as needed, cleaning up our streets, or simply through a smile.

Then we must pay attention to the personal issues that are represented by the "Two of Vessels: Attraction."  I think this is about paying attention to all of the overlying and underlying messages and signals that people are sending to us.  We can best do that when we project our spirits out into the world as we should be doing on a daily basis.  Our spirits should be the first thing people notice about us.  When we go out into the world spiritually then we are less likely to have negative feelings and/or reactions t the daily machinations of life that bombard us throughout the day.  This then leads to more productive and engaging relationships whether based on intimacy, friendship, or as a co-worker.

What we need to be on the lookout for (feelings, desires, reaction) is represented by the "Four of Arrows, Rest."  Exercise, rest, a healthy and meaningful diet, and positive engagement in daily life are needed to keep us balanced and full of the stamina and vitality needed to awake feeling refreshed and ready for the new day each of us is blessed with as we open our eyes and see that that we have been given another day to live purposeful and fulfilling lives.

Thank You Spirit.
