Friday, July 8, 2016. Last day of the work week and what a busy one it was. I covered four different cities in the metro Vancouver region, Richmond, North Vancouver (2 opposite sides of the city), Coquitlam and New Westminster. I was on the road from 10am until just after 4pm. I enjoyed the day but there was almost too much happening and all on a single day. Whew! Tiring day for a for a few of us.
Sleep was pretty good last night, a mixture of dreams and thoughts, some related to the job and others to, oh, I'm not so sure. Perhaps, some spiritual matters...
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is the “7 of Coins: Chores. Resting after a job well done. Contemplating life's cycles and changes. Planning your next move. Clearing out what's unnecessary in your life to make way for something new.”
"Planning your next move" and surely "Clearing out what's unnecessary in your life to make way for something new" are the focus of the day. And I've got to say that I've been in a planning mood and have had plenty of planning thoughts running around my mind lately. And after the last couple of weeks I've discovered that I do indeed need to clear out a few unnecessary things in my life.
Speaking of my mind full of thoughts, a co-worker observed that I seemed to be lost in deep thought I think it was , last week, I think he mention a week and a bit. How very observant of him. Lost in thought I was...
...I'm somewhat content, no make that patient for I'm somewhat actively directing my life to where I want to go and have this underlying feeling that my life is not only shifting gears but also changing lanes or perhaps is heading off on an exit to the life of my dreams. Perhaps, my chores here in this stage of my life are done, make almost done and I'm about to embark on my long desired Spiritual Guidance Counsellor career.
Thank You Spirit.
Namaste.

The '4 of Wands' and Finally Establishing Ourselves
Thursday, July 7, 2016. Slept much better last night. Still awoke but I fell back to sleep rather quickly so I rested quite well. Wanted to record the dream I remembered this morning from last night but now that it's almost twelve hours later I've forgotten the dream.
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is the “4 of Wands: Setting the Stage. Opening night finally arrives. A venture has been established. Celebrating initial achievements."
I see this “4 of Wands" as being an affirmation that I'm on the right track in fulfilling my role and accepting my purpose in life in being a Spiritual Guidance Counsellor. As indeed, "A venture has been established". I'm well on my way to helping everyone including myself become and always remain "spiritually awakened".
With Spirit as my guide and Tarot as our window into ourselves I'll work with you to awaken yourself to who you truly are. Come, take this journey with me.
Thank You Spirit.
Namaste.

'VII The Chariot', the 'Guide of Swords' and Listening to Voices Greater than Ourselves
Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Almost forgot that I didn't write anything yesterday.
I met with the owner of a restaurant yesterday after work as he wanted to apologise to me personally for the bad service as in no service we received when we visited his establishment.
We chatted for about ninety minutes and I could have all night chatting with him as he was honest, real, authentic, and sincere. We'll go back to try it again but later on in the year, I'm thinking.
I've been awaking likely around 3 or 4 the last couple of mornings and having a hard time falling back to sleep. I think I get into lucid dreaming though. I'm aware of the dream and can make changes to the dream.
For example, in one, my sister I were grabbing a coffee and walked by someone I'll call a friend my sisters who was kind of sitting/laying on a box of some sort, my sister said something as we walked by but then the scene re-round and replayed with my sister saying something else before we sit down at a table not too far away.
In another dream, a gentleman was asking me how much money I wanted to receive. At first I said nothing, I didn't want to take his money but he insisted that I indeed needed his money and needed to take it. I started off in the hundreds of dollars but the scene kept rewinding until I was up to about $75,000 and saying yes, I'd love to receive his money and couldn't thank him enough. He insisted that my taking his money was all the thanks he needed.
Spirit Is and Tuesday's Tarot Energy is "VII The Chariot. Among the highs and lows of life, make sure you enjoy the highs. At the top of one's game. Seizing an opportunity. Having everything under control (barely).”
Today's Tarot Energy is the "Guide of Swords: A wider perspective. Altruistic thoughts. Messages from the higher self."
"Seizing an opportunity", "A wider perspective", "Altruistic thoughts" and "Messages from the higher self" stand out for yesterday and today. I've let a couple of opportunities slip through my fingers, one on Monday and another yesterday. I lost my voice, that voice that should have spoken up for my well-being as well as the well-being of my fellow employees. And yesterday, I could have invested more time in selling myself to the owner of the restaurant. I feel something could have come of it.
And not that I can remember them precisely however in some earlier dreams I was getting the sense that I need to do more to help people open themselves up spiritually. Hopefully, I can do just that. I'm not likely reaching many people through my blog but I'll keep writing and blogging no matter what. But I have new business cards that I hope I have the confidence and courage to give out and drop off in various spiritual places and spaces as well car magnets that I hope I'll have no problem putting on the car or the camper van for that matter.
Speaking of the van, Serenity, I should say I'm reminded of a dream where I was spending a few nights in a "local" provincial park likely Cultus Lake but it could have Golden Ears also. I was standing, walking about my campsite speaking, speaking to a couple of people if not more, putting my Spiritual Guidance Counselling skills to the test talking about all of us needing to awake from our slumber where most of us are simply cruising through on cruise control instead being actively involved in our lives.
Quite the dream...and strong "Messages from the higher self". Helping others is definitely the way for me to realize my dreams, passions and desires and fulfill my longest held goals.
Thank You Spirit.
Namaste.

'XVI Revelation' and Giving Up Fear and Worry Once Again and Welcoming Truth
Monday, July 4, 2016. Happy Independence Day to all our American neighbours!
Hope everyone is having a great time south of the border.
Had a bit of a sleepless night. I think I was a bit too hot to rest comfortably and some of those nagging worries of the past came back to haunt my dreams...ugh!
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is “XVI Revelation: While it is usually best to tell the truth about yourself to those who are close to you, it can be a painful experience. A necessary destruction of the status quo. Having to tell someone an unwelcome truth. A new idea which upsets others.”
Come this September I'll be receiving a raise by about $1.00 per hour and I've been offered the use of a company vehicle. The raise is welcome and I'll likely accept using the company vehicle as then I do not have to worry so much about the high cost of fuel and all of the maintenance is taken care of by the company. This for me is acceptable for the short term as I do not plan to be with the company much longer as I have to get on the road and get on the road soon. I feel that my life depends on it!
"Having to tell someone an unwelcome truth" and "A new idea which upsets others" stand out for me today. But I also feel that "A necessary destruction of the status quo" may be in order to. But can I pinpoint precisely what I'm getting at is the question. And the only answer I can come up with is, I think not.
I'm perplexed!
Should I quit my job? Renege on all of my debts and start from scratch? Should I abandon this, my spiritual life and simply work at a job that I just do feel like doing anymore. Should I give up my dream of living life on the road?
Yes, I should quit my job. No, I should not renege on all of my debts. No, I should definitely not abandon my spiritual life, it is what keeps me going and the job I have does fit what I feel my needs are and what I can give back to it. And no, I should not give up on my dream of living life on the road.
I am me and I need to let all the world know that I want to escape this, my stationary lifestyle and instead live a life likely filled with more risks and trials and tribulations but living such a life, a life on the road excites me and fills me with a great love, joy, and happiness.
Thank You Spirit.

'VII The Chariot' and Enjoying the Highs of Life While Basking in the Bounty of Nature
Sunday, July 3, 2016. We had a great day yesterday. We hit the beach, Wreck Beach after a relaxing morning of tossing around ideas about what to do. The beach was not very busy, maybe Canada Day wore people out or the weather being a bit deceiving. We almost did not decide on the beach as the weather was cool and cloudy when we left home.
We sat on the beach for a few hours, having a brief conversation with a couple of acquaintances we met a few years back and we also chatted with someone new. And so we made perhaps a new friend meeting him for a late dinner even. Very cool!
Slept very last night even with the night long dream of mazes running through my mind with a co-worker or two even popping into them. My partner appeared here and there but they were mostly about me trying to find my way through this glass maze to my Spiritual Guidance Counsellor office so I could meet with people. My office was at the centre of this intricate maze of glass where it was hard to tell which way was up, down, or sideways. It was a cool dream albeit a confusing one...but I found my office then saw myself sitting under Serenity's awning conversing with someone I don't recall ever meeting or knowing.
I forced myself to get out of bed around 7:30am as I felt like I'd be sleeping the day away if I didn't and even with taking my eye mask off and the earplugs out of my ears I was falling back to sleep as I lay there trying to get out of bed...and I'm still feeling groggy and it's 20 minutes before 9.
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is "VII The Chariot. Among the highs and lows of life, make sure you enjoy the highs. At the top of one's game. Seizing an opportunity. Having everything under control (barely).”
This weekend is all about enjoying the highs of life as we hiked with friends on Canada, met someone who we to become good friends with and today we had brunch with two more friends and a nice leisurely stroll and relaxing conversation along the beach below Point Grey Road in Vancouver.
After departing from our visit we strolled along 4th Avenue and simply enjoyed the beautiful day as we made our down the avenue first stopping for an afternoon iced Americano before a stop at Jackson Meats and a final stop at Seven Seas Fish Market. Our drive home was uneventful and quicker than I thought. The only downside to the day is the large fire in Burns Bog...very disappointing to see the smoke billowing into the sky from our bedroom window.
I'm somewhat in good control of my life and during our visit today I understood that I'm a teacher as much as a Spiritual Guidance Counsellor and will teach people about spirituality and the freedom gained from freeing our spirits from the ingrained teachings we've all received about how we should and are expected to live our lives. Otherwise, we are deemed not normal if we decide to live our lives in a contrary fashion.
Thank You Spirit.

A Day With Friends, Minnekhada Regional Park, and 'V The Priest'
Saturday, July 2, 2016. A day with friends and another visit to Minnekhada Regional Park.
We connected with friends yesterday. They dropped by around noon I think and then we drove over to Cora's in Coquitlam for a nice and healthy lunch before hitting the trails of Minnekhada.
Upon arriving in the park pretty much as we're getting out of the car we were told of, warned about bear sightings along the trails. After chatting with the friendly folk and organising ourselves we were off.
Only a few minutes into leisurely stroll we spotted a couple of bears just off the intersection of two trails. The bears were maybe 3 or 4 years old, not that I'm an expert and were quite skittish so they walked away from us and we from them. After about five minutes of walking and snapping photos of the many waxwings flitting about we spotted the bears in the water across the marsh from us, shutters were speedily capturing images of the two bears frolicking in the water. After our fill of watching the bears we were once again on our way.
We took in the limited view at Addington Lookout before wending our over and up to the High Knoll for a higher and more visible widespread view of the Pitt River and valley below. We took photos and rested for a spell before making our way down with a pit stop to examine some slime mould sitting atop a tree stump.
Once we were back down to the main trail we head back to the parking lot that was about 2.3 km ahead of us. Our pace slowed down to a snail's pace as we watched out for and avoided the hundreds of toadlets that scurried about and hopped along the trail...a challenging task with all us humans frequenting the trail, many of us unaware of these little guys underfoot.
On our drive back to the urban landscape another much larger crossed the road in front of us...a beautiful send off from the gift of nature...
Once arriving home we ordered up a bucket of fried chicken and all the fixings from Re-Up BBQ...delicious...and a couple of half sacks of beer to go along with it from the Paddlewheeler Pub Liquor Store...those most certainly hit the spot.
Our friends departed around 9:30pm and after a quick clean up of dishes and showers, we enjoyed the Canada Day Fireworks set off by the city of New Westminster from the comfort of our balcony...then it was off to bed.
A bit of sleeplessness and a couple of odd dreams later I was up and at 'em and off to a park bench perched along the Fraser River here in New Westminster around 630am...
...pigeons, seagulls, and a lone crow welcome me to the park bench...as I arrived around 6:45 the Sun was shining brightly but has since been shrouded by the gray clouds that fill the sky.
Today's Tarot Card is “V The Priest: The best way to help others is to help them make their own decisions. Wisdom. Advice. A ceremony or ritual.”
And today's Tarot Energy is all about “V The Priest" and helping others gain the knowledge, skills and self-confidence necessary for them to make their decisions. Helping them understand that they alone must decide on the actions they must take in their own lives to change or improve their situations or circumstances.
Thank You Spirit.

'VI The Lovers', 'X The Wheel of Life' and Harnessing the Power of Childhood
Friday, July 1, 2016.
Happy Canada Day! Our country is 149 years young this year. Interestingly enough, Louis Riel floated through my mind as I reflected on what being Canadian means to me. He fought for equal rights for the Métis and was hung for his efforts. And 131 years later, we Métis are recognised as a distinct group of the First Nations people of Canada. Louis Riel...
...I awoke late, and we awoke pretty much at the same time so I never made it down to my park bench along the river this morning so I'll try again tomorrow morning. And if the weather continues to stay dry we'll be taking a walk through MINNEKHADA REGIONAL PARK later today with some friends so I'll be able to immerse myself in Nature...
Throughout my sleep, I occasionally found myself in a semi-conscious state where a voice kept on telling me that You are a Spiritual Guidance Counsellor, a person of spirit, so do not lose sight of this...
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is "VI The Lovers: A relationship is always a mingling of differences. A powerful relationship. Seeing both sides of an issue. Flexibility” and “X The Wheel of Life: If life on the rim makes you dizzy, move to the centre. Awareness of the cycles of life. Equanimity. A change in fortunes. Guidance from your future or past self.”
"A powerful relationship, Seeing both sides of an issue", and "Guidance from your future or past self" are the dominant themes of today, at least for me. Especially, the guidance that came from my future self as I slipped in and out of sleep last night. And I know this to be true as the crows outside perched atop the power pole are indeed reaffirming my sentiments.
And reflecting again on what my Personality and Character Cards reveal of me I recognise, accept, understand that god is within and so I harness this inherent power and use it in bring forth out into the world my inner calling. I hearken back to my childhood days of wonder and exploration of the world. Doing my best to unlearn all that has closed me off from the amazing and miraculous world that is beyond adult sight because we're supposed to see the world in a certain way...
...be an adult they say...well I'm an adult but the world is full of creation, wonder, amazement and power that I want to see, that we all need to see...we are human animals, and are an inherent part of this world, an integral part of nature, especially if we understand and learn what are real roles are and should in this world of miracles.
Thank You Spirit.
