'VI The Lovers', 'X The Wheel of Life' and Harnessing the Power of Childhood

Friday, July 1, 2016.

Happy Canada Day!  Our country is 149 years young this year.  Interestingly enough, Louis Riel floated through my mind as I reflected on what being Canadian means to me.  He fought for equal rights for the Métis and was hung for his efforts.  And 131 years later, we Métis are recognised as a distinct group of the First Nations people of Canada.  Louis Riel...

...I awoke late, and we awoke pretty much at the same time so I never made it down to my park bench along the river this morning so I'll try again tomorrow morning.  And if the weather continues to stay dry we'll be taking a walk through MINNEKHADA REGIONAL PARK later today with some friends so I'll be able to immerse myself in Nature...

Throughout my sleep, I occasionally found myself in a semi-conscious state where a voice kept on telling me that You are a Spiritual Guidance Counsellor, a person of spirit, so do not lose sight of this...

Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is "VI The Lovers: A relationship is always a mingling of differences.  A powerful relationship.  Seeing both sides of an issue.  Flexibility” and “X The Wheel of Life: If life on the rim makes you dizzy, move to the centre. Awareness of the cycles of life. Equanimity. A change in fortunes. Guidance from your future or past self.”

"A powerful relationship, Seeing both sides of an issue", and "Guidance from your future or past self" are the dominant themes of today, at least for me.  Especially, the guidance that came from my future self as I slipped in and out of sleep last night.  And I know this to be true as the crows outside perched atop the power pole are indeed reaffirming my sentiments.

And reflecting again on what my Personality and Character Cards reveal of me I recognise, accept, understand that god is within and so I harness this inherent power and use it in bring forth out into the world my inner calling.  I hearken back to my childhood days of wonder and exploration of the world.  Doing my best to unlearn all that has closed me off from the amazing and miraculous world that is beyond adult sight because we're supposed to see the world in a certain way...

...be an adult they say...well I'm an adult but the world is full of creation, wonder, amazement and power that I want to see, that we all need to see...we are human animals, and are an inherent part of this world, an integral part of nature, especially if we understand and learn what are real roles are and should in this world of miracles.

Thank You Spirit.

Namaste.

The '7 of Wands' and "Winning Against the Odds"

Sunday, June 19, 2016.  Another glorious day of sleeping in and awaking at one's own natural time.  Although, I was semi-conscious around 6 this morning I laid in bed and did my best to sleep, maybe meditate as well as direct my thoughts toward what it means to me in being Wizard Oron.  Doing so brought about the words "Spiritual Guidance Counsellor" and images of a sign saying as much, hanging from the house door of Serenity.

And as I sat in from my working altar with candles lit, a natural and well guide and meaning pride filled my heart and soul as I recognised and took ownership of my "Métis" heritage.

I'm Métis and I'm proud to be Métis.

We hung out with one friend in the early afternoon and another in the early evening and we still had time to ourselves to close out the night by ourselves and with our own activities--a bit of reading, some TV, and then a glass of milk each and a small sampling of the brownies I made.  Then it was off to bed.

Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is the “7 of Wands: Fighting the wind.  A Quixotic struggle.  Winning against the odds.  Confrontation.”
The “7 of Wands" is letting us all know that each of us is "Winning against the odds".  Although it is "A Quixotic struggle" we have what it takes to make something of our lives, to become who we are meant to be.

For me, it's not only embracing my Métis heritage but also being Wizard Oron, Spiritual Guidance Counsellor for all of us traveling this road of life.

Thank You Spirit.

Namaste.
