A Day With Friends, Minnekhada Regional Park, and 'V The Priest'

Saturday, July 2, 2016.  A day with friends and another visit to Minnekhada Regional Park.

We connected with friends yesterday.  They dropped by around noon I think and then we drove over to Cora's in Coquitlam for a nice and healthy lunch before hitting the trails of Minnekhada.

Upon arriving in the park pretty much as we're getting out of the car we were told of, warned about bear sightings along the trails.  After chatting with the friendly folk and organising ourselves we were off.

Only a few minutes into leisurely stroll we spotted a couple of bears just off the intersection of two trails.  The bears were maybe 3 or 4 years old, not that I'm an expert and were quite skittish so they walked away from us and we from them.  After about five minutes of walking and snapping photos of the many waxwings flitting about we spotted the bears in the water across the marsh from us, shutters were speedily capturing images of the two bears frolicking in the water.  After our fill of watching the bears we were once again on our way.

We took in the limited view at Addington Lookout before wending our over and up to the High Knoll for a higher and more visible widespread view of the Pitt River and valley below.  We took photos and rested for a spell before making our way down with a pit stop to examine some slime mould sitting atop a tree stump.

Once we were back down to the main trail we head back to the parking lot that was about 2.3 km ahead of us.  Our pace slowed down to a snail's pace as we watched out for and avoided the hundreds of toadlets that scurried about and hopped along the trail...a challenging task with all us humans frequenting the trail, many of us unaware of these little guys underfoot.
On our drive back to the urban landscape another much larger crossed the road in front of us...a beautiful send off from the gift of nature...

Once arriving home we ordered up a bucket of fried chicken and all the fixings from Re-Up BBQ...delicious...and a couple of half sacks of beer to go along with it from the Paddlewheeler Pub  Liquor Store...those most certainly hit the spot.

Our friends departed around 9:30pm and after a quick clean up of dishes and showers, we enjoyed the Canada Day Fireworks set off by the city of New Westminster from the comfort of our balcony...then it was off to bed.

A bit of sleeplessness and a couple of odd dreams later I was up and at 'em and off to a park bench perched along the Fraser River here in New Westminster around 630am...

...pigeons, seagulls, and a lone crow welcome me to the park bench...as I arrived around 6:45 the Sun was shining brightly but has since been shrouded by the gray clouds that fill the sky.
Today's Tarot Card is “V The Priest: The best way to help others is to help them make their own decisions.  Wisdom.  Advice.  A ceremony or ritual.”
And today's Tarot Energy is all about “V The Priest" and helping others gain the knowledge, skills and self-confidence necessary for them to make their decisions.  Helping them understand that they alone must decide on the actions they must take in their own lives to change or improve their situations or circumstances.

Thank You Spirit.

Namaste.

The '7 of Cups' and Getting Ready to Force Myself to Take Action

Monday, June 13, 2016.  We had a relaxing Sunday.  We stayed in all day except our short excursion out for a quick lunch at Re-Up BBQ in the River Market here in New Westminster.  Pulled Pork and Beef Brisket sandwiches and a Lemon Soda.  Good as always.  After quick walk along the quay we were home for the remainder of the day.

Sleep was fulfilling and satisfying however not precursor to wanting to fully awake or even get out of bed.  I had a dream or two related to co-workers but then I had Serenity related dreams, I do believe with maybe even an appearance by people I do not know and some that I do such as Edith and Eugene Tokalot.

Spirit is and today's Tarot Energy is the “7 of Cups: The Bookstore.  Choosing between different approaches.  Contemplating choices when you should be acting."

This appears to be the underlying of the year: "Contemplating choices when you should be acting."  Directly or indirectly Spirit through Tarot is telling me to act, to simply act and be done with it.  Hints are coming in all the time for me to quit think and start acting.  Whether it's crows flying by or giving me a look, my dreams, articles in magazines, or a snippet out of a book or piece from a blog I'm being guided to act...quit whining and get on with it and do something about making my life what I need it to be.

Create the life I want by making a decision and then acting on it.

What kind of life do I want?  A life of travelling the roads of North America.

What drives me to wanting to live such a life?  My passion lies in driving and living a life of Spirit.  So why not combine the two passions.

How will I finance this journey?  By working on the road providing coaching, Tarot, Chakra and spiritual services to the people that I meet along the way.  I'm a spiritual awakener through the wonderful presence, guidance, power and blessing of Spirit.  As well, I have two great ears and a keen desire to listen to people and truly hear their stories.

Where will I go first?  Kamloops, to see Dad and his wife as well as all the sights and sounds around this small interior city.  Sitting on park benches in the hopes that someone might like a Tarot reading or two. Then I'd make my to Quesnel to visit my sister and her family and again all the sights and sounds in the area.  Again looking also to engage spiritually with people from my hometown.  From there a tour of the rest of the province of British Columbia.

Time for me to start acting...acting...I need to fully immerse myself into being who I truly am.  I'm Wizard Oron, a spiritualist, a Wiccan, a Tarot Intuitive, a Chakra Tuner and a great listener...how may I be of service to you?

Thank You Spirit.

Namaste.

The Man of Swords and Being Thorough

The Sun is out again providing us with great incentive to awaken from our slumber.  Not many birds are singing or conversing this morning other than the cawing of the crows but that’s not so bad either—Nature in all her glory!

Yesterday we made it out for a bike ride.  We drove to Tynehead Regional Park and rode a fairly easy 5 kilometre (about 3 miles) paved trail, our route took us uphill for a portion of it so we did get some good exercise in.  The bike ride was enjoyable and took us through forest and meadow before returning us back to our starting point.

Getting the bikes back onto the bike rack had one of my fingers and one of our bikes meet in the most inappropriate of ways.  I simply shook off or tried to shake off the sting of this painful meeting but my finger continued to hurt.  Just as I was about to get back into securing the bikes on the rack I decided to take a look at my finger.  Remember this happened in seconds, very quickly and we trying to get and secure our bikes onto the bike rack.  So when I looked at my finger I was shocked to find part of fingernail torn away, not fully off and blood seeping from the wound—OUCH!  I shouldn’t have looked…but we simply wrapped my finger is some tissues and we set out for home.  A rinse of water and antiseptic, a bandage and I was good to go.

Thank You Spirit.

We had lunch at Re-up BBQ at the River Market then took a stroll along the quay before returning to the market and having gelato at Tre Galli and then heading home.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Man of Swords: A rational, scientific approach.  A thorough investigation.”

Or as I put it, being perceptive, looking beyond the obvious, taking a look behind the scenes, being thorough and leaving nothing to chance.  Peeling the layers off to get at the core or root of the problem, situation or circumstance, getting to the heart of the matter is most beneficial to overcoming, solving, healing or transcending the matter at hand.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.
