Our weekend trip to Victoria has come and gone and we're back home. I've gained new knowledge, wisdom, and power knowing without a shadow of a doubt that I'm on the right path as Spirit Guide and Tarot Card Reader.
Whether it was the weekend get-a-way, visiting Sooke Potholes Regional Park and witnessing the awesome beauty and power of the Sooke River and being reminded of our connection with nature or being visited by Crow who landed on the top of the car in what I think is a dream or the spiritual and magical power contained in the pages of Sage Woman magazine or the book Spells of Blood and Kin or the power and energy of Tarot as a card is revealed each day or by the power of thoughts and dreams, I am changed this day, having reached for something greater than myself.
Friday, December 23, Shaman, 5 of Stones.
Saturday, December 24, Gay, Ace of Swords.
Sunday, December 25, Pagan, XIII Death.
Monday, December 26, Pagan, 0 The Fool.
We were pulling up to the ferry terminal in Swartz Bay yesterday at about ten minutes before the 4pm sailing, too late for that sailing I thought to myself and way too early for our reserved 5pm sailing however the booth attendant gave us the option to make our way to the 4pm sailing so we took her up on her offer. Arriving home an hour earlier was a welcomed blessing and our local Boston Pizza was our choice for dinner.
We had time to continue our relaxation and enjoy the quiet time we had. Sleep was great and having no alarm to wake up to makes this day even better. Spirit Is and today's Pagan Tarot Energy is the "Eight of Swords: Our Witch is faced with a difficult situation indeed. Blindfolded and tied up, she is surrounded by a circle of swords. Her coven mates surround the outside of the situation - they are there for support but not for direct help. She is imprisoned and must find her own way out. The exit is unblocked and right in front of her, but she has no way of knowing that. You may be feeling alone and powerless. While this is a situation you must face alone, your loved ones are with you in spirit and will help whenever and however they can. Most importantly, your way out is not difficult. Continue walking confidently on your path and it will take you straight to freedom."

With the "Eight of Swords" confirming that we "Continue walking confidently on your path and it will take you straight to freedom" is a continuation of the Fool's advice yesterday for us to "reach for something greater than ourselves". This a firm reminder that the path we are on is the correct one for each of us and that we must never let our confidence be shaken by another for this is who we are meant to be and is the fulfilment of our purpose in life.
Thank You Spirit.
Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 9:09am. So I've made a stronger commitment to and taken another step forward by designing and purchasing new business cards and car door magnets. I decided to do this because I believe in myself and I believe in my skills and abilities to assist others in freeing themselves from the constraints that society has placed upon them. Much of these constraints we are born into so we must all practice unconditional, non-judgemental love for all so we can move forward and free ourselves from the chains that bind us and keep us from reaching our full potential and achieve our highest ideals.
This as I've mentioned before is my camper van, Serenity, she is also my Spiritual Guidance Counsellor mode of transportation and office. This is at the Westbay Marine Village just outside of Victoria:
I'm "Your Local Spiritual Guidance Counsellor on This Road of Life."
I'm here to help you reveal the mystery/mysteries of who you are...let us together unwrap the person you show to the world and reveal the person that you truly are...show the world the real you, heck show yourself the real you...you are likely to be amazed!
Oh, my Spiritual Guidance Counsellor "Road Fund" sits at about $950.00. Thank You for your donations and support!
Thank You Spirit.
Namaste.
Saturday, October 10, 2015. We've returned from a successful and enriching trip to Vancouver Island and back. We enjoyed our stays in Nanaimo, Tofino, and Victoria and even discovered a new friend along the way.
I tried to write as we travelled so I might repeat myself here and there but hopefully you enjoy reading about our little adventure...
We unpacked Serenity last night, she's our camper van, returned her to the storage lot, picked up the car and returned home, caught a bit of the news while we unpacked and organised ourselves before grabbing a bite at AandW.
As I sat and relaxed last night, organizing receipts from the trip and gathering my thoughts about the week that was...I realised that I missed being in the van, the camper van is indeed a place of Serenity, and is aptly named.
I slept. missing Serenity and awoke missing her even more. My cute little camper van, Miss Serenity is now a part of the fabric of my being and an integral part of my life.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is the "Queen of Bows, Hare: A companion through life, sympathetic and understanding, leading you to a deeper awareness of what is needed to bring success to your every enterprise. Wise and witty, gentle and kindly, the Queen supports you and strengthens your resolve. Kindness and responsibility, An offering of peace and love, Helpfulness, courtesy, understanding, Enchantment, Success in business."
We have the support, guidance, and strength needed to help us identify and become aware of what we need to do and how we need to shape our lives in order to have success become part of the fabric of being. The "Queen of Bows" is our constant companion and we must strive to keep her top of mind this day so we can move forward with confidence and a quiet resolve to accomplish our innermost desires.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.
And now back to our trip...
We've been to Nanaimo before so on our first full day (Sunday, October 3rd) we took a quick hike along the trails around Living Forest before embarking on a trip into town (Nanaimo) via transit and walked along the harbour, enjoyed a coffee along the quay at "Javawocky Coffee House" and returned to our home away from home in the Living Forest Oceanside Campground around 5:30pm after a quick shopping trip to the Country Grocer and to Rona. Oh, we did discover a few new reads at the "Well Read Books" before catching the bus back home. I picked up, well actually Edith picked up "Communion" by Whitley Strieber and "Report on Communion" by Ed Conroy and my partner picked up "The Lost Symbol" by Dan Brown.
It's now Monday, October 5th and time to depart the picturesque Living Forest Campground and RV Park and make our way to Tofino and the Bella Pacifica Campground. Our first stop took us to Piper's Lagoon Park, Nanaimo, a lovely walk along a trail to the rock outcropping and lovely views of the harbour and the many fisherman's cabins on Shack Island. Our second stop took us to Beachcomber Regional Park, district of Nanaimo. This was my favourite of the day as a tree invited me in for a visit. I squeezed in through the narrow open doorway and enjoyed the living presence of this warm, welcoming, friendly, funny and engaging tree. More about this in the next couple of paragraphs.
Tuesday, October 6, 2015. Awoke around 7:30am after our third night in Serenity, She's everything I expected and more. Yes, the smaller confined space takes some getting used to but I wouldn't trade this experience for anything else. So far the only difficulty is showering in the cubbyhole of the bathroom as the shower curtain gets in the way of having a comfortable shower. I'm devising a solution in my head.
Other than that I have no other complaints. She is easy to drive and maneuver and is a cozy, comfortable place to relax and enjoy nature. It's been an enriching experience having a home wherever we go. As experienced during our beachcombing excursions yesterday. The trees, sand, shoreline, and sea/ocean were warm and welcoming. My physical body may have stopped walking at the water's edge but my spirit kept going. Yesterday my spirit soared to be with the sun, took root in the earth beneath my feet, and became a part of the sea. Then rising up to be in the clouds and take it all in. What an experience!
I like this rustic campground, Bella Pacfica as we're close to the beach, can hear the waves and our sided by only one neighbour, it's a nice cozy nook for our short stay. As I walked along the beach and let the energy of this amazing coastline fill me I made an amazing discover of a hidden spiritual gem of a place hollowed out the by the crashing waves over many years. I took many photographs of this beach and this spiritual oasis however photographs will be more secondary if I take any at all on future trips as I just want to experience these places more than be photograph taking hound.
Tofino is a small cute seaside village nestled in a geography that truly soothes and nourishes the soul. We walked the return trip of about 9 kilometres to and from the village along a bike and walking path that parallels the highway into Tofino.
Wednesday, October 7th, 2015. Two of Arrows: Injustice. We left Bella Pacifica Campground around 9:40am and arrived at West Bay Marina RV Park at 4:40pm. We stopped for gas and lunch in Port Alberni and then at Cathedral Grove so I could have a quick walk through and a quick moment with a few forest giants that are well over 300 years old. Ladysmith was a quick afternoon coffee break at McDonalds.
Friday, October 9th, 2015. Spirit, physical, spirit, loss or sorrow, distortion of the truth, love at first sight, and rest are the Tarot Energies and/or Tarot Essence of the week that was. The week that was our shakedown cruise, our maiden voyage in Serenity, of new home away from home, our place of serenity and security outside of the condo.
Being in Serenity for me is a very spiritual experience. Spirit is strong and a powerful and creative energy fills her space, every nook and cranny of it.
One worry about her that I have is that she might have a leak on the rear passenger side below the window. Oh and the black holding tank needs to be cleaned top to bottom from toilet all the way down. I've created a list of RV chores I'd like to get done before the next extended trip with her. One such chore or work of love is to clean her inside and out.
It'd be very nice if I could park her close to home so I could easily spend time with her and give her the time and attention she deserves unlike the lack of attention I paid to the other one. Such a shame!
Onto new and better things...
...such as my fascination with crows and how prevalent they are on this trip and how celebrated they appeared to be in Tofino!
I love crows or ravens, either or, both in equal measure...
I feel and know how blessed I am and how rich my life is and how much sacrifice the cosmos/the world has made for me so I can be where I am today...on a ferry with a loving partner after our six day adventure on Vancouver Island in Nanaimo, Tofino, and Victoria. And making an new friend along the way. Thank You Spirit!
Also, among meeting a new friend I met a couple of new books "Communion" and a book about the book "Communion", the name of which escapes me (here it is: "Report on Communion. The Facts Behind the Most Controversial True Story of Our Time"). I've rediscovered the joy of reading as well as of doing crossword puzzles.
Also, I really desire to sit and spend time in Serenity working the Tarot. Serenity feels like a great place, a great space to be spiritual and do spiritual works, Tarot being one of many. Writing is another avenue I wish to explore. Tarot, writing, candles, incense, the Sun, the Moon, crows, and magic...
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.
Monday, September 7th, 2015. It's nice to have a long weekend, an extra day to let go, relax, and simple 'BE'. We met my brother at the Red Wagon Cafe for brunch yesterday. We waited for about an hour to be seated as we were party of three and got bumped by parties of two or four or six even though we were on top of list. To me this is not an acceptable practice for the restaurant to take as although the food is good it in our opinion is simply not outstanding nor any better than other restaurants we've been to that seldom if ever have a line-up. The Red Wagon is busy possibly because of its appearance on 'Diner's, Drive-Ins and Dives' and reputation.
Would we go back? Not likely. The food is good however being bumped by a half dozen or more parties that came after us simply because we were a party of three isn't acceptable. But we enjoyed our visit and the food was good and the server was great!
We relaxed a little and then headed out to take in the 'Richmond World Festival' around 4:30pm. We found an empty parking lot next to the park, paid for parking then checked online to se where we had to go...only to discover that the festival was on Saturday...aarrrgggghhhhh! To drown our sorrows by getting the date wrong and missing the festival we took a quick walk around the park, got some Chinese Take-out and headed home.
Around 8:30pm, that's when I looked up at the clock, I was surprised that it was still early as I was contemplating slipping into bed. What to do to while away another hour or so...check out my developing model railroad, read a bit more, look at our camping options online...we're hitting Vancouver Island the first week of October...Nanaimo, Tofino, and Victoria...yay! And then it was off to bed around 10;30pm.
We are staying in Nanaimo at the Living Forest RV Park, in Tofino at the Bella Pacifica Campground, and in Victoria at the Westbay Marine Village. I'm excited and can hardly wait!
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot is the "Queen of Stones, Bear: Richness and plenty surround you. Your bounty and welcoming nature make you popular with all. Many depend on you, and your natural sensuality makes you powerfully attractive to others. Pragmatism and generosity open doorways at every point. Power and generosity, Punctiliousness, A demanding individual, Confidence, Frankness, Assurance, Prosperity."
When I simply let myself be and my spirit lead the way I feel more approachable, more welcoming and seem to wear a natural smile on my face and walk with a happy demeanor. I also feel better too! Even lighter and more content in and with all that I do...
...if we let our spirit's lead the way then we leave no room for our egos to take control or get in the way of our natural state of being which is to be filled and overflowing with light and love that will draw people to us so we can lead by example through our generosity and pragmatism where we use our success to help and inspire others to do the same.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.
Blessings. Returned last night from a quick overnight trip to the island. Decided to drive a niece over to a conference in Victoria via an afternoon tour of the island from Nanaimo to Victoria-just beautiful.
So I had a busy day on Saturday playing chauffeur, tourist guide, host, and a tourist myself as we ferried over to Nanaimo followed by that drive down to Victoria. Two hours of lunch and a walk about of Nanaimo’s Old City Quarter and Art’s District was followed by the murals of Chemainus and the friendly streets of Victoria.
Dinner was had at the Lotus Pond, a non descript restaurant serving up great vegetarian food then more walking before a stop at Starbucks for tea, mocha, and a coffee, the three of us people watching as we savoured our hot beverages. Then we returned the niece to the residences at the University of Victoria before returning to our residence for the night, The Gatsby Mansion.
Saturday’s visiting Tarot Card is the “3 of Coins: A Child’s Room. Creating a positive environment for someone. Work done for the pleasure of it.”
I tend to view this as me doing this for another however today (Saturday) I feel that this card applies to me creating a positive environment for myself and the work done for the pleasure of it is my study of all things Spiritual as well as the repair of my new home, my RV. Oh, and this work also includes my crafts, working my crafts through the spiritual creativity that flows through me. Thank You Spirit.
So we spent our Saturday walking about Victoria as I visited some wonderful retailers:
Triple Spiral Metaphysical, Instinct Art and Gifts, Avalon Metaphysical Centre, and The Railhead Model Trains. I thoroughly enjoyed myself as I browsed each of these stores and picked up an item or two from a few of them. We have visited Victoria at least three or four times and this weekend was the first time we discovered and visited Market Square, what a wonderful space this is. The courtyard is a wonderful place to soak up the sun and be serenaded by the birds. Quiet space when we were there to simply "be".
The ferry ride to and from the island as well as our pit stops here and there gave me time to read, study, and contemplate Spirit and how much I learned from doing so. Oh, I almost forgot about my visit to Lobelia's Lair in Nanaiom where I picked up some black tourmaline and carnelian crystals/
Today’s visiting Tarot Card is the Ace of Coins: A gift of security. Starting to build or construct something. A fertile environment.”
Spirit has gifted me with the building of a new life and constructing my new life on a solid, spiritual foundation where my mind is fertile ground for the germination and growth of a new spiritual understanding of this world we live in.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.
May the Spirits be Well.
On Friday we hopped on the ferry for a quick weekend get-a-way to Victoria. We stayed at the Marriott on Humboldt right near the Inner Harbour, what a great location. We could walk everywhere.
Shortly after our arrival we found ourselves taking a quick tour of the BC Legislature and then walking into downtown Victoria. I love the feel of the city. We eventually had our fill for the first few hours in the city so we headed back to our room to rest a little before freshening up and heading out to dinner. But on our way back to the hotel we cam across Dark Horse Books, what great little bookstore. The proprietor really fit the space and energy of her little business. I wanted to return again before the weekend was out but we never made it back.
On Saturday, we stopped in at Triple Spiral Metaphysical Gifts where I browsed and only walked away with a new 2013 calendar. This is another great little store with an abundance of beautiful energy and it's location cannot be beat, Fan Tan Alley.
Another place we loved is Murchie's. The place is always busy and seems designed to keep you there for hours on end enjoying your beverage and food of choice and the company you're with. We spent an hour or more just enjoying the relaxing atmosphere and our time together.
By late Saturday though we were a bit bored and spent a good part of the late afternoon and evening in our room before heading out for dinner and drinks at The Ledge Lounge.
Saturday, November 10th - X The Wheel of Life
Sunday, November 11th - 8 of Cups
These two cards are the perfect reflection of the weekend thus far. I really felt a desire to just retreat into my own space and just “be” and move on to a new journey in life, just head on down the highway and let the directions I go be decided on a whim.
and today's visiting Tarot Card is the "Man of Wands".
Well I can honestly say that my personal situation is always unstable and when in the RV perhaps dangerous however, “The Establishment” is not something I like to associate myself with but perhaps I’m more “establishment” than I think. Yuck!
Spirit is.
Blessed Be
