Monday, May 18, 2015. A New Moon rises, the Moon is now in Gemini and it's Monday, a long weekend for us here in Canada. Happy Victoria Day!
We had a homey day yesterday. We didn't get out until the afternoon as we took a stroll along the pier and enjoyed an afternoon iced coffee beverage a Tre Galli before running a couple of errands and returning home. I made a few tweaks on my model railroad layout before committing the rest of the day working with the Wild Wood Tarot in digitizing each of the cards and recording each cards "reading points". I'm actually still in the process of doing this. It's great to observe the images of each of the card and then write a bit about them. When the process is complete I will actually meditate with and on each card and then write about it. I will do this over 78 days allowing each card I'm working with be the Tarot of the day I likely won't start this process until later in the week as I'm a slow typist so I'm maybe only a quarter of the way through the deck in terms of typing out each cards "reading points".
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card, from the Wild Wood is the "Four of Stones - Protection. The newly risen sun brings hope and renewed vitality to the vulnerable. Shelter and protection for the weak or the spiritually wounded is the responsibility of us all."
As spirit moves through me and courses through my veins and fills every atom of my being, I must use the strength, love, light, and energy of Spirit to do my part and help those in need in whatever way or whatever form I can. I must let the light of Spirit shine through and touch the lives of those who need to witness the spark of Spirit most.
Close your eyes and be still for a moment, allow the rays of sun fill you and penetrate your heart, allow Spirit to lift you up and give you a sense of hope that love and compassion still exist in this world and it will come to touch you too! Have faith in Spirit...
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 8 of Coins and the 5 of Wands
Saturday, April 4th, 2015. Time to take in the Full Moon and do some magick.
We had another quiet day at home, doing almost a whole lot of nothing but not really. I made a quick drive to a retail store to check out a camera. It'll be quite the investment as not only do I need a camera, I also need a camera bag, tripod, filters, a flash, a memory card and likely a whole slew of other things that I don't even know I need yet. So I'm taking my time with this purchase as it's going to take a good chunk of change out of the wallet.
I also piddle around with my model railroad, mostly mental work however I did cut and carve a bit of foam. I can't do much as I'm in limbo until I get a good camera that can take larger format photos, a minimum of 1MB.
I also worked with Tarot for a good part of the morning and as well as throughout the day as I left the cards out to remind me of their presence as I went about my day.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot is the “8 of Coins: The Factory. Skill and mastery. Tedious, repetitive labour. Slow and methodical progress" with further re-enforcement coming from the “5 of Wands: The Hockey Game. The project meets resistance. Testing one’s ideas against others. An enjoyable struggle. Competition in the marketplace."
The energy needed to further as well as to master our skills and creativity is within us, within our minds and right at our fingertips all we need to do is ask, to recognize and acknowledge where it comes from for it is always within us, if only we dare to harness this divine gift of spirit and energy. Work is still needed as we need to train our minds, our muscles, our arms, legs, eyes, and fingertips so we develop the skills and dexterity needed to bring our creativity to life. And of course, this also come with the courage, strength, and perseverance needed to get past the hurdles, mistakes, and roadblocks we will encounter along the way.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

V The Priest and the Sage of Coins
Saturday, March 7th, 2015. The illusive weekend is here once again. Although my job is not bad at all I do enjoy my weekends and I also enjoy the lazy evenings we've been having for so very long. I enjoy the relaxed lifestyle we have created for ourselves and make no apologies for it. The reason I'm enjoying this lifestyle and journey so much is that I'm in a comfortable home, engaged in a hobby I've been passionate about for years, am going to add another facet to this is as well, and I'm engaged in spiritual journey that has been with and me for an eternity.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is “V The Priest: The best way to help others is to help them make their own decisions. Wisdom. Advice. A ceremony or ritual” with a bit of direction coming from the “Sage of Coins: Working with resources rather than trying to control them. A mature appreciation of the natural world. Patience."
My heart is beating in tune with, in unison with the heartbeat of the universe. My path is set and I'm on a journey that I must follow through to the end. I as we all are am filled with the eternal wisdom of the cosmos and the ancestors that travelled this path before me our now guiding my way.
We are all connected to the ancient and unfailing wisdom of the cosmos and if we are willing to hear it, to listen to it, to open our eyes, minds, and spirits to its calling and work in harmony with it a whole new world will open up for us. What appears before us may appear daunting however if we listen to our inner voices and let our instincts guide us we will embark on a journey and live life in ways unimaginable.
Respect and love life. Respect and love each other.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The Sage of Cups and Being a Peacemaker
Well it’s the weekend. Whoopee! The mad dash of crazed shoppers continues as the fret over and race from here and there to spend their money on gifts people really don’t need. The family and friend get togethers and the love and goodwill that are in the air is great and quite amazing however wouldn’t it be netter if we fed and clothed the hungry and the destitute, invested our money making the world a kinder and gentler place?
I’ve never liked making up a Christmas Wish List for myself because I just don’t want anything that money can buy, never have, really.
Anyway, I’ll get off my soapbox now and move on…
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Sage of Cups: Emotional maturity. A good mediator or counselor.”
This is a time to be understanding, tolerant, compromising, and diplomatic and do our best be mediators to smooth over any ruffled feathers. Picking sides is not always necessary and often it is better to stay neutral, objective and level-headed and keep the peace.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

VII The Chariot and Learning Something of Value
Another fairly quiet day yesterday, the only real activity was a trip to the grocery for a bit of food. Other than that we stayed indoors all day yesterday. I did my best to work on cards, read, study and be however my partner was getting bored and antsy.
Some thoughts—Life is surely not a contest and the society we live in is not ideal however we need to make the best of our situations and circumstances and do our small parts to make this a better world for ourselves and those around us. What we view as an insignificant action could have the greatest impact so let us all take those baby steps in trying to create a better world and move a mountain.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “VII The Chariot: Among the highs and lows of life, make sure you enjoy the highs. At the top of one’s. Seizing an opportunity. Having everything under control (barely).”
Self-control will provide me with the strength, determination, and assertiveness needed to make success a part of life. I am success by being aware, adaptable, diplomatic, objective, knowledgeable, and thankful. I appreciate all that I am and all that I have in life in what I’ve learned and accomplished, the family and friends I have and all that I have seen and done in the world and all that still lies ahead.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

8 of Coins
I slept well but no sleeping in this morning, awoke with what sounded like a neighbour's door slamming shut and all of my sleep was gone. I lied in bed for a little, my mind, not doing much of anything but sleep never came so I decided to get out of bed and on with my day. Although, at one point during the night I was doubting my dream of RVing across these great lands of Canada and the US but I feel better about it this morning as I know this dream is right but my progress to live it is going to be slower than I expect or want it to be, that’s all.
Spirit is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “8 of Coins: The Factory. Skill and mastery. Tedious, repetitive labor. Slow and methodical progress.” This card so reflects my work on my handcrafted cards as well as my work on my RV but I’d have it no other way as I doing what I love to do and my finances will eventually be boosted from this slow and tedious progress.
I’m happy and Spirit is alive and well in the world.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

A Two Tarot Card Day
Had a decent night’s sleep, did awake for a pee but fell right back to sleep again and awoke at about 6am. Did my usual morning routine before sitting down with Tarot.
Spirit is and today is a two Tarot Card day. Today’s two visiting Tarot Cards are the “Youth of Swords: Curiosity. Research. Computers, e-mail. Immature communication. Spying (or "hacking") and the 9 of Cups: Serendipity. Satisfaction. Everything is going well.” These two cards almost seem to be in conflict however at the same time they work well together for me today. As I am curious by nature and for the most part things are going quite well, could be better but patience as things are in a state of change right now.
Thank You Spirit.

Comfort
May the Spirits be well.
I had a rather sleepless night last night and awoke with a few new areas/joints/bones that bother me, where I may also have a slight bit of pain. I could have probably slept more if I simply let myself go however I was getting tired of being in bed and sleeping for a bit, then awaking, then sleeping, then awaking so getting out of bed seemed like the best option.
Spirit is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “3 of Cups: A Good Time. Happy, comfortable times together. Quiet enjoyment. Celebration." I can always handle this kind of energy or atmosphere in my/our home or if I go and visit someone or somewhere else.
Thank You Spirit.

Tarot Journaling and Crystal Ball Gazing
I'm currently reading these two books and how wonderful they are. I have learned so much about life in general and more specifically about my own. Corrine Kenner and Uma Silbey have crafted their words and books very well and I have been moved by what I have read. Although, I am still new and inexperienced in the worlds of Tarot and Crystal Balls I find that I have not only been moved but changed as well.
In "Tarot Journaling, Corrine Kenner on page xxxiii under the title of "The Benefits of Tarot Journaling" she writes:
"Journaling will help you live a better life. Believe it or not, the simple act of keeping a journal has been scientifically proven to reduce stress, tension, anxiety, and depression---and researchers have shown that people who keep journals are better able to fight off opportunistic infections, so they get sick less often. A research psychologist at the University of Texas at Austin, James Pennebaker, found that regular journaling strengthens immune cells, called T lymphocytes. Joshua M. Smyth, Ph.D., associate professor of psychology at North Dakota State University, found that journaling decreases the symptoms of asthma and rheumatoid arthritis."
She goes on with:
"When you keep a tarot journal, your mind, body, and spirit will benefit. A tarot journal will help you sharpen your intuition, discover a new rapport with ancient symbols, and expand your worldview. . Before long, you will see growth and progress, both in your tarot readings and in your everyday life."
Although, I do write I am not specifically writing a journal but this is not my point of why change has taken place in my life. I rather attribute the change in my life to what I have read in the two books that make up the title of this blog. I am changed by the mere reading of these books and for that I am thankful.
On page 17 Corrine Kenner talks about personalizing your journal and one suggestion she makes is "to create a mandala---a circular design, like a stained glass window or a snowflake---that symbolizes spiritual wholeness."
I bring this up because a few years ago at Christmas my partner gave me a gift certificate to a tattoo parlor and was I ever excited about the gift but I thought long and hard and meditated on what kind of tattoo I should get before coming up with a "Daisy". But before rushing out to get this tattooed on my body I gave it a lot of thought and maybe 6, 7, 8, maybe 9 months after Christmas I finally got my tattoo and it was the "Daisy". The reason I chose a Daisy was because it represented my connection with the Divine, the Spirit, or the Energy of life that not only holds us all together but it also links us to everything on this planet thus representing the "spiritual wholeness that Corrine Kenner writes about in her book.
On Page 125 and 126 of her book Crystal Ball Gazing, Uma Silbey writes:
"So much of the time we find ourselves doing things we don't want to do. We may be working in jobs that we had to take, behaving in ways that don't bring us happiness, being buffeted around by the needs of those around us rather than responding to our own needs. Many of us, for one reason or another, are not doing what we want to do but what other people want us to do. Circumstances may have forced us into situations that we dislike, but we stay in them to survive. Sometimes we don't even trust our own perceptions and feelings, especially if they seem to be different from everyone else's. Our behavior, sometimes even our thoughts, are so dictated by cultural, religious, familial, and other forms of conditioning, that it's not surprising so many of us don't know what we want. For one reason or another, we have stilled our own voice so long that we don't even hear it anymore. It hasn't disappeared, though. It's there waiting for us if we can identify it."
Also in the next paragraph she writes:
"This crystal ball meditation can very quickly bring your own voice to the forefront."
I cannot wait to find and hear my own voice again.
May we all break free of the conditioning that closes most of off from life and our roles and purposes in it.
Take a peek at these books here.
Until next time. . .
