Saturday, June 6, 2015. Oops! What happened here? No writing since Wednesday.
We've been contemplating a kitchen makeover for about a year and decided a few weeks ago to go ahead and get it done based upon a recommendation from a friends brother. The cabinets are constructed from plywood and the doors and drawers are real hardwood and the price was very similar to what we found at a few big box stores that we visited, where the cabinets offered are constructed with particleboard. And we are going with a quartz composite material countertop on the wet side of the kitchen and solid oak on the prep side.
And the process started on Thursday night as we emptied out the cupboards and removed the appliances so that the removal of the cabinets could happen yesterday and the installation begin today. Oh, we also decided to remove the ceramic tile backsplash last night. What a chore that turned out to be. The sloppy look of the tile and grouting hid some very well held in place tiles as well as some damaged drywall that we had to repair. But in the end to effort will be worth it. The kitchen will look fresh and inviting and the cabinets will give us a better functioning kitchen as they are designed to fit the space.
I've had two sleepless nights worrying about the plumbing, the solid wood countertop that we have to install, the relocation of a receptacle to accommodate a smaller size cabinet above the microwave, and what to do about a new backsplash.
On top of all of this, I also had inquired about a Class B campervan that I saw at a local yet, not so local RV dealership and was playing phone tag with the financial advisor for the company. After a few back and forth messages I finally asked the person answering the phone to ask him to leave me a message about why he was calling. He finally did, the van I was interested in was sold and picked up yesterday. I'll simply keep looking and have made the decision to buy from this particular dealership as they appear to be much more down-to-earth and seem to employ less push sales reps.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot is the "Page of Bows, Stoat: Often, you are seen as an emissary and, as such, your gifts are widely recognized and honoured. Your ability to perceive the truth in almost any matter is vastly helpful and your freedom of spirit marks you out as an original and unique personality."
I picked up on 'emissary' as I read about the 'Page of Bows' and decided to research its definition and how it fits in with today, Saturday, the 6th of June, 2015. Based upon the quick definition highlighted by 'Google' and the immediate insight that came to mind I believe that the 'Page of Bows' is bringing focus to the fact that many of us are 'spiritual emissaries' in this world and have an important role and function to place with the many people that come into our lives or cross our paths on any given day.
Many of us act as beacons of light, hope, and inspiration to others without ever knowing about it. Additionally, we are likely as equally influenced by others in the same way providing us with the drive and energy needed to carry forth with our endeavors.
Also, the 'Page of Bows' has encouraged me and supports a dream that I had last night to make changes to my website so I focus more on spiritual services and forgo selling a few retail items that I have listed on one of its pages.
Thank You Spirit.
For Thursday and Friday, the visiting Tarot was "3 The Green Woman: Appearing at a time of rich nurturing and protection, of learning and initiation, when loving and fertile relationships, both human and universal, abound, the Green Woman mediates the sacred sovereignty of the Earth's soul and can show the path to understanding and communion with nature. But with this blessing comes responsibility. Remember that this glorious, magnanimous and generous spirit can live through you, radiated by the sacred breath of life and given to others who need guidance and healing. Learn from the abundant and joyous spirit of the Earth and be at one with the world and your true self."
Nature, nature, and more nature. Gaia, Mother Earth...I am very much a part of this wonderful entity we live on and that we all have a symbiotic relationship with...let's show her the respect and attention that she deserves.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.
