Sunday, June 7, 2015. Kitchen renovations are frustrating, time consuming, and difficult to handle as the kitchen is truly the heart of the home. It's amazing how not having a kitchen can create such chaos in a home. A small condo and a kitchen renovation are an almost impossible project to undertake. We have a living and dining area that are now home to a refrigerator, stove/range, dishwasher and everything that was neatly stored and out of sight in the kitchen cupboards. We barely have a path to walk through where we can access the den and/or sofa should we wish to attempt to sit and relax in this, dare I say, mess.
In the end it should all prove to be worthwhile as we'll have solid wood cupboards that fit and meet our needs and the rest of our condo to live in and enjoy without having to compete with appliances, dishes, pots and pans and food.
Thank You Spirit.
We took advantage of the sunny hot weather as the cabinet installer finished assembling all of the cabinets mid-afternoon, and made our way to the beach--the earliest we've ever been to the beach. The previous early date was July 1st. The beach was crowded but we still found room to flop ourselves down on the sand to relax and enjoy the ambiance that Wreck Beach has to offer. The water is cold however, one of us still managed to dive in and enjoy a brief swim, it was not me and even later in the summer I seldom find that the water temperature is seldom comfortable enough for me to take a plunge and enjoy it.
One great side effect of going to the beach and the hike to get there from the car is the great night's sleep I enjoy. I've hardly slept past 4am the previous two evenings however last night I fell asleep quickly and didn't open my eyes until past 6:30am. Beautiful. After a morning cup of coffee and meditating with Tarot I made my way to the gym. Twenty minutes later I was back home. A few of arrived at the regular opening time to find the doors locked and after twenty minutes of waiting and conversing we left deciding to leave the gym for another time.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot is "20 The Great Bear: The only thing in life that is assured is that, if you wait long enough, it will change. How you survive that change and who you are after it is up to you. The major element in this process is judgement of yourself and others. This may relate to an assessment regarding a personal matter or situation, and could be linked to the process of forgiving. It may also relate to a group or social decision. In the process of judgement, both as an individual and on the universal level, honesty is the key. Be honest, be forgiving, be patient, but most of all, be assured change is at hand. Remember, the universe has a long memory. Nothing is ever forgotten."
It's time to embrace and direct the change that's coming into our lives. Change is afoot and it's not the time to challenge or avoid it but instead work with this change allowing it to inspire us to become the best that we can be as we progress through life with new vigor and spiritual understanding of who we are and where our lives need to go.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.
