The 9 of Pentacles and Money Does Grow on Trees

Sunday, June 22, 2014.  Happy Sunday.

I slept in this morning—must have been that two hour biked along the trails of Colony Farm out in Coquitlam under the sunny skies.  Birds were singing to us as we pedaled along the trails that took our spirits away from the stresses and worries of life to the freedom of Spirit and nature as we let the sounds of the birds and caress of the wind soothe our souls and carry away our troubles.

Thank You Spirit.

Lunch was had at Fat Burger along the Lougheed Highway near Bouclair (we found some cushions for the sofa here) in Coquitlam.  The staff greeted us with a warm “Hello” and welcoming and friendly smiles.  The burgers as we experienced at another location were great and a perfect meal after such a joyous bike ride under the sun.

We relaxed the rest of the afternoon and evening as my partner practiced piano and I started creating a card for my brother’s 50th birthday we’ll be celebrating next month.  I had an awesome sleep and to my surprise, slept in until a few minutes after 7am.

Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card from my “Whimsical” deck is the “9 of Pentacles: Look for opportunities to develop your creative potential and to prove what you can do.  Start now!  The time for paybacks and rewards is quickly approaching, but it will only come if you strive for success.  When reversed: Plan carefully for whatever you hope to achieve right now.  Don’t assume that everything will work out just as expected, and don’t be afraid to ask for help.”

The imagery on this card suggests that if we believe enough in ourselves as well as take conscious control of our lives and realize and overcome the weakness of our fears, our self-reliance can prove to be very successful and almost make us believe that money does in fact “grow on trees”.  This does not suggest however that this is easy or is a guaranteed fact, it’s merely an awakening of our desire for success and the planting of the seed that yes, we can be successful if control our feelings, emotions and overcome our fears—fears that only have the power that we give them.

Yesterday, during our bike ride I thought of taking photos of things we might see along the way but then as we were riding along I was impacted with the need to simply enjoy the ride, closing my eyes on occasion just too simply “be” for a few seconds.  This allowed me the understanding that I have taken control of my life and that I’m moving forward in the direction I wish to go.  This ride also made me realize yet again that movement is in my genes and the truth be told, I am a nomad and need to be in constant motion.  If those flat trails went on forever I’d still be riding them.  I really enjoyed being there and in the moment.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.
