Half way through the year. My goodness time does seem to fly by when you’re having fun. I can remember sitting in a pub back in February when I got a call for an interview with Elections BC. Then I was sitting at an orientation session on the 4th of March before starting in my position as Enumerator on the 6th. Two and half weeks of walking through the Queensborough neighbourhood soon gave way to a three week break that was gone in a flash and then I was sitting in an office assisting people in the registration and voting process for an election that happened more than a month ago.
Yesterday was a quiet home day of study, contemplation, and learning. My heart, mind, body, and soul opened to the universe and allowed Spirit to flow into and within me. I experienced learning not simply with my mind but my whole being, every atom of my body; every one of my over 50 trillion cells took part in the learning process. Whether it was something I read in a blog, heard, on television or read from a book, simply experienced, that knowledge penetrated through all that I am.
Thank You Spirit.
Today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Swords: You Choose the Script. You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one. The end of a bad situation. Hysterical overreaction." And today’s Foundation Card for this card is the “7 of Wands: Fighting the wind. A Quixotic struggle. Winning against the odds. Confrontation.”
Do I believe in my goals and desires? Do I have the integrity and strength of character to go after them? Do I believe in myself? Do I have enough faith and courage to stand up for what I believe in? Do I have what it takes to become the person I want to be, the type of person I cherish and hold most dear?
Over the past eight to ten years I’ve only allowed my Spiritual side to tread water, if you will. Barely visible, just hiding under the surface. I live with a scientist and scientists do not give much credit to the “world” I live in, if I can put it that way. So I do as much as I can without making too much of what I believe in or what drives me, visible. I’ve reached a point where I can no longer do that. My Spiritual nature is itching to come out into the world and be visible for all to see. I need to express myself. I need to be me!
I guess this is what is driving me to get my RV back into shape and ready for the road. I simply want a place where I can be myself. My RV is my sanctuary, my little oasis where my Spirituality can be on full display without “rocking the boat”. I’ve likely said all of this before and this simply a reminder to myself to keep my eye on the ball so-to-speak, not to give up, to go for it, to at least give it a try-that life I most desire!
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

VI The Lovers and the Youth of Swords
The summer heat has arrived. Yesterday was a hot muggy day lacking any wind and the feeling of fresh air. I didn’t do much except go to the gym and then meet up with family and friends for dinner. Today is another beautiful day but a slight breeze is blowing and we have some nice cross-ventilation occurring through our open windows. This morning (9:00am) the temperature of 20 Celsius has nearly reached yesterday’s high of 22 Celsius.
We had a nice visit last night with my brother, sister, niece and a couple of family friends. Dinner was good and the walk along the river provided a cool welcome relief from the mugginess of the evening away from the water. The mugginess infiltrated our condo and as a result I tossed and turned quite a bit through the night. Time for the fans and air conditioner to come out.
Spirit is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “VI The Lovers: A relationship is always a mingling of differences. A powerful relationship. Seeing both sides of an issue. Flexibility". And today’s Foundation Card for the card of the day is the “Youth of Swords: Curiosity. Research. Computers, e-mail. Immature communication. Spying (or "hacking")."
So today is a good day then to research, learn and explore the mind, intellect, and all matters of Spirit and the cosmos. Being flexible, open-minded, and curious to learn and understand the world around me, my place in it, myself, and my desires, goals, and dreams and how they fit into the place I’m at in this moment in time.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 10 of Coins and Man of Cups
I had an enjoyable day yesterday, accomplished a few things and felt good about how my day progressed. As evening came though I got a little down but nothing major. This morning more perplexed than down. Thinking about my future and wondering if I’m on the right path as I think I am or am I trying to convince myself that I am. I’ve been away from writing this for 15 or 20 minutes and had a mental breakthrough as I was getting my second cup of café con leche where a solid thought came to mind that “Yes, I’m on the right track and I have no need for fear or worry just go with the flow”.
Thank You Spirit.
Today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Coins: History. A knowledge of and appreciation for history. Seeing your concerns in a larger context. Seeing your life as a story; who is the author?” Do I want to follow convention and settle down or do I want to make changes and go for it? Do I need to settle down and create a solid foundation for my future or should I go for change and all the risk that goes along with it. Life in a condo or life on the road?
Today’s Foundation Card for today’s Card of the Day is again, the “Man of Cups: An emotional adventurer. Tendency to want to emotionally rescue others. Drawn to emotional crises.”
If I remove emotion from the equation and look at my options in a very grounded manner I see that life on the road although filled with risk is a solid choice for me as it is my choice and I’m following a long held dream of mine of living life on the road. In fact, many of the working options I see for me on the road today are the same ones I thought of over twenty five years ago: writing, ventriloquism, and one other I will not expand on for the moment.
I am on the right track. Spirit is with me and I’m working toward my long held dreams and goals.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

10 of Swords Card of Day, Man of Cups Foundation Card
Yesterday turned into a stay at home day but I just simply went with the flow. I still worked toward achieving my dreams and goals though through the study of Tarot and being very spiritually minded throughout the day. I enjoyed my day even though I desired to be in RV as the day turned out exactly as it should have.
I flipped through a book I picked a long time ago, Complete Book of Tarot Spreads by Evelin Burger and Johannes Fiebig, published in 1997 by Sterling Publishing Company. As I flipped through it and glanced at and read a page here and there I learned or was reminded about the guiding theme of Tarot—“…the transformation or resolution of your personal desires and fears. As long as you make progress, your method of doing Tarot is useful.” This is a book I need to keep around during my study of Tarot
So I kept flipping pages and came across a variation to the Card of the Day and that is to pull the Card of the Day then a card that is the background or foundation for the first card. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the”10 of Swords: You Choose the Script. You can choose to plug yourself into a negative viewpoint, or to unplug yourself from one. The end of a bad situation. Hysterical overreaction."
I choose positivity over negativity and my viewpoint will be to the best of my abilities a positive one each and every day. Yeah, I’ve made a few mistakes in life and now I’ve learned from them and have now decided to use them to launch myself into a new direction and a renewed or maybe even a new way of thinking. I see where I want my life to be so I’ll simply work toward that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and let the details work themselves out along the way.
The Foundation Card for today’s visiting Tarot Card is the "Man of Cups: An emotional adventurer. Tendency to want to emotionally rescue others. Drawn to emotional crises.”
When I read a little bit more about the Man of Cups and reflect on my own life I see that I tend to be prone to flights of fancy and illusion so I need to check myself for this in all that I do so I keep my feet on the ground, keep myself grounded while dreaming about the future I desire. I know I can have the future I desire however I need to put a better plan in shape as to how I’ll not only make it happen but how I’ll sustain it as well. I need solid plans in place as to how I’ll earn my keep on the road so I need to create a roadmap for myself as to how I might possibly eke out a living and do so while cruising down to two lanes and backroads of North America.
So another project on my list is to build myself a “jobs plan”.
Thank You Spirit.

10 of Wands and Burdens and Responsibilities
Another gray start to the day but the Sun is working hard to brighten the day. Can’t see the Sun but the day is getting brighter.
I had a decent day yesterday. I accomplished a few things that made me feel good and optimistic. Actually, the optimism came with a feeling of home and responsibility. I was locking the door of my RV as I was leaving and felt a great sense that this was just one of many times of heading off to or coming home from a job, my RV, my home. Once I returned to the condo I tweaked my résumé and updated my list of references.
Then I relaxed a little or at least I think I relaxed…no I cleaned up the condo a bit, vacuumed and then washed the kitchen floor then it was time to make dinner. I relaxed a little before going to bed. I read an article out of “Circle Magazine”.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the 10 of Wands: The Burden. Responsibilities. Obligations. Overcommitting yourself. Realizing that burdens are a part of life."
This card always evokes the image of travel and although traveling with a young dog is likely the burden on display here such a burden may prove to be difficult at times but a burden worth dealing with none-the-less. I know that striving to become employed in the job market is the likely choice of many however I feel more of a desire to try and strike out on my own and earn my keep my own way—difficult to do for sure but doable at the same time—it can be done and is being done by many and I’m a part of this group.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 7 of Cups and Decision Time?
I had quick day of painting at the RV before returning home. Although the painting was quick I still dilly dallied at the RV for quite some time as I enjoy my space there even in its current state of messiness. The RV is my oasis, my sanctuary, my place of peace, calm, and tranquility; it is after all what I consider to be my true home.
Other than that I did not do a whole lot of anything else except for a couple of loads of laundry. Then I simply did whatever struck my fancy. A bit of beading, flipping through Tarot books and Wiccan and Pagan magazines. The evening came and went and then it was off to bed. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “7 of Cups: The Bookstore. Choosing between different approaches. Contemplating choices when you should be acting.” It’s time for action I guess. No more need to mull things over. And I suppose that it is also time to become more diligent, organized and disciplined and get my head out of the clouds and my mind back down to Earth and the reality of what my life is-unemployed and in need of a money earning enterprise. I really detest having to work for someone else but I may to break down and do just that, at least for the short term. The time has arrived to make solid decisions and bring some structure back to my life. Or is this simply giving up and relenting to the pressures of the world I live in and am a part of? Agh! Time for contemplation and meditation.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

V The Priest, Gaining Knowledge and Experience Through Spirit
A gray rainy day welcomed us out of bed this morning. The day looks like a late afternoon winter day however it is a wonderful day none-the-less.
Yesterday had us taking a great hike on Brothers Creek Loop in West Vancouver. We simply walked and enjoyed the sights and sounds as we meandered along the trail up down, over here, over there. We did not limit ourselves by looking at the time or worrying about being somewhere, we just soak in all of nature that was around us and let nature take us back into its fold. Beautiful. Thank You Spirit.
We had lunch at Bandidas Taqueria, coffee at Continental Coffee before we returned home late afternoon and relaxed, watched Silver Linings Playbook, and then a bit of news before allowing sleep to wash over us so we could be ready for a new day.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “V The Priest: The best way to help others is to help them make their own decisions. Wisdom. Advice. A promise. A ceremony or ritual."
As I delve into this card and the imagery on this card from a variety of decks I get the sense that I need to continue my spiritual quest through gaining as much knowledge and experience as I can with my spiritual endeavors. I need to do my best to adapt and work within the society, the world I live in and make life work for me. I need to take chances but in responsible and well thought out ways so I increase the likelihood of my success. I have to be responsible and contribute to my own success by work diligently toward achieving my goals, dreams, and passions with the knowledge and experience that will help me do it.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The Fool, a Super Moon, and Believing in One's Self
A beautiful Full Moon early this morning. I awoke around 4am to a catch a glimpse of her white fullness and was glad to find her as I glanced out the window. My Full Moon celebration this time around took place in my heart, mind, and soul as I drifted off to sleep.
A bird trying to serenade the morning (6:30am) has been drowned out by the complaining cacophony of a crow, not happy with how his or her day is starting out but even this is a sound I’m happy to hear—nature alive in the city. Oh, this reminds me that a Ladybug or two have graced us with their presence on our living room window twice this past week. Always nice to see them around. Thank You.
Yesterday was a slow and easy day of shopping and enjoying our day and today should be about the same-a relaxing time for breakfast and then a intermediate hike with a friend in a few hours time—Brothers Creek Loop in West Vancouver.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “0 The Fool: Accepting and exploring one's sexual identity is a journey of self-discovery. Beginning a new and exciting venture. Going beyond the limits of social convention. A nonconformist."
I need to end my cycle of fear and worry and instead focus on and keep my faith and trust and believe in myself and all that I’m doing in my life. I’m that which is right for me and following not only my heart’s desires but also living up to my purpose in life.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

VIII Justice and Accepting Ourselves
The first day of summer yesterday was gray yet dry and somewhat sunny at times. A quiet day at home after a quick work out at the gym and short outing in the afternoon for coffee and a couple of items from the grocery for dinner. I did a little beading, studying, and baking as the evening played out. I just took the “Sticky Buns” out of the oven, they smell delicious.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “VIII Justice: Even today, gays can be the victims of “justice”. An unfair judgment. Being too judgmental or righteous. Feeling restricted by others’ expectations.”
The image of the card is what looks to be a prison and as the sun rises and shines through the window it reveals Lady Justice, just outside the window, it also reveals what once was in the shadows of the prison, two hands reaching out for one another. As the sun rises it not only reveals what once was in the shadows but also the possibilities that life has to offer. As we open our eyes and see the light many paths and options may be revealed to us.
And the restrictions we may at times feel may not so much come from others but rather ourselves, we are at times our own worst critics and can at times cast harsh judgements on ourselves. As we want to be accepted by others, we too must be accepting of ourselves.
Thank You Spirit.

The Guide of Cups and Living and Feeling with my Heart
Summer is officially here and the skies are gray and threatening us the possibility of more rain. Yesterday I stayed home and watched the rain fall all day while I cleaned and did a little bit of baking, the RV could wait. Our evening was kind of up in the air and then we ended up having dinner out with one of our neighbours and then dessert here at home—my fruit squares received rave reviews.
Here it is a new day and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Guide of Cups: Altruism. Messages from the heart.”
I awoke filled with love and compassion, a strong reverence for all life, a strong connection/oneness with the Divine and the universe, a great appreciation for the deeper meanings of life, and in seeing the world as a holy place. I’m living and feeling with my heart today. The Guide of Cups has led me to remember that my personality card is “XI Strength” and that my character card is “II The Intuitive” and I relate very strongly to both of these cards and the Guide of Cups is a good reminder to me of where my strengths lie and how best to use on incorporate them into my life as well as my plans for the future.
Thank You Spirit.
Grace and Peace.

5 of Coins, Standing Alone, Self-Discipline, and Thinking Outside the Box
Happy Midsummer. Happy Summer Solstice. Unfortunately, I can’t see the Sun through the thick rain-filled clouds that are releasing their moisture today and saturating the ground with liquid sunshine. A beautiful solstice regardless.
I had a good day yesterday and unbelievably so I felt like I was really home while working in the RV as I was cleaning the (RV) the bathroom, the thought, a question came to me of “how many times will I be doing this from this day forward. And as I applied the final coat of paint to and removed the tape from the bedside cabinet area I really felt like I had a bedroom to sleep in or a lounge to relax in. This part of the RV really feels homey.
Another thought that came to mind was that I was on track to get the RV up and running and no longer had need to worry about getting it done. I felt like I removed all of the construction debris and just finished fixing up the bed-over-cab area and was set to start “living” if you will in the RV' a great feeling to be having, seeing my hard work come together to make a home for myself, a beautiful home on wheels.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “5 of Coins: Hard Times. Material difficulties. Lack of money. People in adversity helping each other.”
Standing alone, needing to think not just about my spiritual health but my physical health too! A warning to pay attention but at the same time think outside the box, to always keep in mind that solutions to issues or problems don’t always have to be logical or make any sense. Answers to questions may come in surprising ways. So I must keep my health in check as well as practice much needed financial discipline so that I stay both physically and financially healthy for the next several months at least. And never fear dreaming big, faith and belief can go a long way in achieving our biggest dreams and desires.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The Fool and Being a Non-Conformist
Yesterday was a stay at home and do chores kind of day so that’s exactly what I did, more or less. I have a little bit of a project list that’s been put together for me since I’m in between job and I’m slowly knocking things off that list-three or four so far and maybe a half dozen more to do. Going out to the RV didn’t feel right so I didn’t go. I also work with my beads—making another bracelet. Last night was another quiet evening at home and sleep came on early in the evening as we were both in bed before eleven.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “0 The Fool: Accepting and exploring one's sexual identity is a journey of self-discovery. Beginning a new and exciting venture. Going beyond the limits of social convention. A nonconformist."
I’m simply allowing myself to “accept my choices, take the “foolish” path, pursue a pipe dream, be true to myself, take a “crazy” chance, and trust my heart’s desire”. Learning the Tarot, Joan Bunning, Weiser Books, 1998, page 112. I’ve always tried to follow the logical path as laid out before me and so I’ve pursued jobs that “make sense”, at least to those around me so now I’m doing my best to follow my heart, to follow my passions, and chase after the life I want instead of the life that is expected of me. And if I’m a bit of an oddball for doing so, so be it. I’m glad to be an oddball then. I’d rather try and fail than never try and never know what could have been.
So follow your heart’s desires for the day and be a bit of a non-conformist, “keep your faith and trust your natural responses”. Learning the Tarot, page 113

X The Wheel of Life and a Wider Perspective
Yesterday was a day where I piddled around in the RV without really knowing what I wanted to be doing, simply working on autopilot I guess. Work is a bit slower than I like but I realized yesterday it has more to do with all the crap I’ve still got in the RV than any lack of knowledge or experience on my part. I just simply do not have the space I need to work comfortably in the RV. If next week looks to be a run of dry days I will be emptying out the RV and leaving the stuff outside so I can really get to work on my repair and remodelling efforts, got to get it done now!
As I read the different messages that today’s visiting Tarot Card has to offer I was struck by a couple of realizations. The first being that yes I bought an RV seven years ago and she’s been sitting in storage for that length of time as well however, it’s all for a reason. My repairs and remodeling of the RV is a learning tool and a learning experience for me. As the past seven years have drifted by and I’ve piddled around with the RV I’ve been learning things about life and my place in it. Today, I’ve realized that I purchased my RV to travel but not so much initially in the way I first thought, I have instead traveled beyond myself and my own perspectives seeing the world from a much larger perspective than my own. Now that I can see the world from this vantage point I’m ready to hit the road and learn some more but also to teach as well—compassion, love, and most of all peace.
Thank You Spirit.
Today’s visiting Tarot Card is “X The Wheel of Life: If life on the rim makes you dizzy, move to the centre. Awareness of the cycles of life. Equanimity. A change in fortunes. Guidance from your future or past self.”
Yesterday as I was about to leave the storage lot, just stopping to lock up the RV, the lot attendant waltzed by and struck up a conversation with me. Something about this conversation struck me. He thought I was getting ready to take a trip and well I guess I am, not sure when or how soon that may be but yes a trip is on the horizon. I guess this is what struck me as an innate knowing, that travel in my RV is going to be more than just simply traveling or going places, it’s about living, living my life fully in tune with my purpose and the world that surrounds me.
Travel that is with purpose, travel where I am always living in and aware of the present, paying homage to all who have helped me become who I am and get to this place where I find myself. Awareness. Paying attention, heeding the call, going where I need to go…living my life instead of merely reacting to it.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

XIX The Sun and Simply Being Me!
We made a quick visit to a friend, checking out his new digs and simply catching up. His house is in a quiet neighbourhood in East Vancouver. After our quick visit it was off to the movies. We drove down to the Festival/Fifth Avenue Cinemas to watch “Blancanieves”, a Spanish movie that puts a little twist in the Snow White fairy tale. I quite enjoyed the movie but it’s definitely not for everyone—a black and white silent movie. We had some time before the movie so we grabbed a snack and latte at Elysian Coffee just around the corner from the cinema, part of the same building. A great latte and a fantastic cookie. Then as we headed for a quiet evening at home, we completed our weekly shopping and actually felt good about it.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “XIX The Sun: The best moments in life are rooted in the ordinary. Contentment. Optimism. Ordinariness. Satisfaction from a job well done. Familiarity.”
I see this card and think to myself that I just plain and simply need to be me! I just want live my plain, ordinary and simple life. Yeah, I guess I have one little twist in that I want to live my plain and simple life living and traveling in an RV, earning my keep through my self-expression. Is this too much to ask? Not at all. Can be done and is being done by many—simple lives being lived on the road.
Thank You Spirit.

The 8 of Cups and Facing Up to the Truth of Needed Change
We had a wonderful day yesterday.
We decided to go out and explore nature by taking a walking around a lake. We drove out to and thoroughly enjoyed Cheam Lake Wetlands. This is a restored lake and wetlands area. During the 1950s I believe they decide to drain the lake in order to mine the lake bed for something I think is called Marl, used in agriculture as a fertilizer. If this information was not provided one would never know that the lake that exists now is not the same lake that was here back in the 1950s and was only refilled back in 1993 after much restoration was done to the lake bed and surrounding area.
When we arrived at the lake we were greeted by an orchestra of birdsong that filled the air the entire hour or so we walked about the area through the three trails that allow one to immerse them into nature. I wish to return to this serene place again soon for another visit. It was uplifting in every sense of the word. To be able to visit this lake in the comfort of an RV so I can enjoy the birdsong, relax, meditate, commune, and just be is an experience I just simply have to have.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “8 of Cups: Farewell. Moving on. Leaving behind a person, a situation, or a part of yourself.”
Some impact phrases I read from “Learning the Tarot, Joan Bunning, Weiser Books, 1998, page 202” are:
- leaving the rat race
- disentangling myself
- starting on a trip of unknown length
- letting go
- finishing up and moving on
- getting weighed down by worries
- starting on a journey of discovery
- devoting more time to the spiritual
For a long time I have felt that I needed to strike out on an uncommon and risky path in life, one where not many people dare not tread and that is to be my own person living a very nomadic lifestyle. I have never been content with staying in one place for very long and do not like to put down roots as I need to have movement in life in order to be satisfied. I have talents and skills to take on the road with me and I shall do just that as one needs to live and in order to live I need to be productive and pay my own way on this journey we know as life.
“The signs of change are in our face, and we must accept them. It is time to move on.” Learning the Tarot, Joan Bunning, Weiser Books, 1998, page 203

Man/Knight of Coins and Seeing Things Through
A low key Friday with little to no activities planned or taking place. I paid a visit to the gym, something that feels so good to do and came home and worked on completing a beaded bracelet that I started some time ago, can’t even remember when, joined my partner and co-workers for sushi take-out at their workplace before returning home to continue beading. At 4pm we were sitting in the theatre ready to watch and enjoy Star Trek into Darkness. I liked the movie but felt it lacking. Something was missing for me so I walked away a little disappointed. Then it was a relaxing and quiet Friday evening at home.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the Man of Coins: Responsible and hardworking. Reliable. Dependable.”
This card is more than this brief description. The image also evokes feelings of being prudent and seeing the job through to completion, of spending both time and money wisely and being thoughtful of the future, of how to go from here to there, having a path to follow and following it all the way to the end.

The Man/Knight of Swords and Active Participation in Life
I had a slow productive day yesterday as I wanted to do a bit of work on the RV as well as some chores at home so neither got my full attention, it was a divided day.
On the RV front, as I mentioned yesterday I’m kind of in a tight space as I’ve filled the RV with new materials and supplies to complete the remodeling work and I’ve also kept all of the debris from the deconstruction phase of the work. I need to get rid of stuff before I can really move on with the final stages of my efforts and wrap things up inside. So next week I’ll be getting rid of stuff, not sure how but it’s leaving the RV.
On the home front I painted a small section of the baseboard trim. It’s never been finished. The person who installed the trim used pre-finished trim so a final coat of paint was never applied and we’ve lived with it for four years so now is the time to get it painted. I might tackle the ceiling while I’m at it as it had a quick coat of paint slapped on it and it shows.
On the job front, I received a job alert that grabbed my attention as it is a local company here in New Westminster, a minimum wage part-time job but fits my creative side quite nicely; the only drawback being they require Saturday availability. But I’m seriously considering the job though, less than a block away from home.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Man of Swords: A rational, scientific approach. A thorough investigation.”
I’m doing my best to give aspects of my life and situation in life good, long, hard thoughts so that I’m being an active participant in my life instead of merely reacting to life and also not allowing my heart to rule my head all of the time. It is amazing what a little thought can do and that a single momentary but conscious and active thought can go a long way. Active participation in life is quite engaging, uplifting and educational. Everyone should give it a try.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 9 of Coins, Rewards, Higher Potentials
Had a successful day at home. I made another successful Cuban dished called Ropa Vieja. We had our out of town friend over for dinner as it was his last night in town and this a favourite dish of his. My partner made the best Bread Pudding ever, a fusion of several different bread pudding recipes, so no recipe to share for that one.
Today shall be another visit to my home away from home, my RV and more fun work on her. I’m quite enjoying the work I’m doing on my RV. The only hiccup is all of the crap I’m still keeping in the RV. As I deconstructed sections of the RV, I kept all of the debris from that process inside of the RV. Time to get rid of it, I think. If I can get rid of all of this debris the RV will be so clean and spacious that I’ll have more room than what I know what to do with.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “9 of Coins: Rewards. Enjoying the fruits of your labor. Well-deserved enjoyment.”
Although this card points to purely enjoying what I’ve accomplished in certain areas of my life I think I also need to control and direct my passions as well as learn how to enjoy the finer things in life and seek higher potentials.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

1 The Magican and Creating Life Not Simply Reacting To It
For a few moments this morning, I could not remember or think of today’s date. I was so lost in the clouds with my thoughts of today’s visiting Tarot Card and Horoscopes that I completely lost track of the concept of time and date. Maybe it’s because I’ve been up since about 4:30 this morning. I appreciate this early start to the day though as I’ve been able to process many thoughts and ideas.
These thoughts and ideas tie into my desire and need to get my RV back into shape as well as my need to find a means of financially supporting myself without having to resort to working for someone else either an independent business or a corporate entity.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “I The Magician: To live fully, one must create a life, not merely react to it. Creativity. Ability. Making something happen.”
As I was thinking about the Magician and contemplating the image on the card as well as the message being delivered I decide to read my Horoscopes. I say Horoscopes because I was born on the cusp of Aries and Pisces so I read both. And today both tie into very nicely to the Magician-“If you are doing what everyone else is doing…there is little risk. But when you are daring and you choose the road less traveled there is uncertainty. But its time you blazed a trail of your own Aries.” and “If you’ve been thinking of doing something different-such as taking on a creative project or starting a new business-these ideas could spell success if you pay attention to them.” Daily Horoscope, Comitic Software.
This is where my mind was last night, through the night, in my dreams and in my waking thoughts and continues to this moment. Thoughts and ideas and a continuation of ideas from the past. Maybe the time is right to act on these and act on these in a very bold and aggressive manner. The time to act is now! I do know what I want and that is the freedom to be my own boss as risky as this may be. I’ll keep myself grounded as well so I avoid “pie in the sky” thinking and keep things based in reality.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 4 of Cups and Being Open to New Opportunities
I had a fairly productive day yesterday. I made it to the gym as well as to my second home, the RV and got some work done there too! I have two of the four cupboard doors built and I put a coat of paint on the upper cabinets above the desk. Then it was back home to get ready for a casual reception we were invited to by our out of town guests who are here for a convention. We arrived early but could not get in to see our friends as they were not opening the doors until 6:45pm. We had a 45 minute wait ahead of us so we took advantage of a park bench and enjoyed the natural setting we were in that is Stanley Park.
A line-up had formed and began moving so we got up and stood in line for about another half hour or so before we finally entered the Vancouver Aquarium and got to see our friends. Hundreds of people showed up, far more than the venue could comfortably handle and slim pickings were left at the food tables. We ended up starting with dessert before finding a bit of prime rib to put on plate and then an onion and brie cheese pizza was offered to us by one of the food servers walking around and offering bites to the many hundreds of hungry people roaming about in search of food and drink.
Soon we were back home and relaxing for the evening. I was falling asleep around 9:30 but managed to stay awake until almost 11pm before crashing into bed and my long awaited sleep.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Cups: The Audition. A new opportunity or choice presents itself. Everything hangs in the balance. Nervousness, excitement.”
I must keep myself in check and not get too absorbed into my own little world and miss the gifts, rewards, or opportunities that may be offered me this day, one of which could be a an offer of employment, a windfall, a prize from a lottery or an opportunity to bring my dreams and goes to fruition in ways I never thought possible.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Blessed Be.

The 4 of Swords and the Challenge to be Quiet
Yesterday, we had another wonderfully busy day with old and new friends. We met one of our out of town friends for lunch and also with a couple members of the family we never met before. We really hit it off with the daughter and so spent most of our afternoon with her. We browsed through a flea market and then made our way to Granville Island via the “bathtub”, the water ferry service provided by Aquabus.
The Vancouver Flea Market has improved significantly since I was last there some ten or more years ago but nothing jumped out at me as something I needed. Granville Island as always is a joy to walk around. Soon the time came to deliver our new friend back to the hotel so she could take part in one of the activities she is in town for and we ourselves sleepily made our way home.
After dinner and a shower I relaxed most of the evening and returned to reading Eagle Eye One magazine. Every article I read spoke to me in some way and I felt a stirring and changes taking place deep within my soul. My sleep last night was deep and powerful. I went to bed determined to become a blank slate, a white canvas, ready to be created, re-created, changed, receptive to the messages of the Divine so I can uncover, discover, be the real me, be open to whatever direction I need to go in to do the work I need to do with my remaining time in the physical world. I let go of all of my ideas, dreams, desires and goals in order to just be, to allow the purity of soul lead me on a journey even if it is one that challenges me or is the same one I released in order to simply “be”.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Swords: Napping Between Rehearsals. Resting and gathering strength for the next phase. A vacation or “time out”.”
Quiet time, time to meditate and go within, to allow the energy, Spirit to have a voice and be heard. Time to retreat from the noise and cacophony of society, to shut out the urge to always be doing, to be active, to be noisy and simply be still. Be still and be rewarded for that stillness…
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 8 of Coins, Hard Work but all Worthwhile
We’ve had a busy weekend of visiting with friends and it continues today and for the first part of next week. We met another friend last night for dinner and met in the process someone that will become I’m a new friend. This afternoon we’re meeting yet more friends for lunch and whatever time they have available in between their official functions at the convention—the reason they are in town in the first place.
We ran a few errands yesterday and simply enjoyed the afternoon at home before heading out for the evening and dinner with the aforementioned friend.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “8 of Coins: The Factory. Skill and mastery. Tedious, repetitive labor. Slow and methodical progress.”
I have to put much effort into pursuing my goals and dreams and I’m getting into doing just that. I have my eye on the prize yet my feet, mind, and the effort to get to that prize firmly planted on the ground in the here and now. I’m working hard yet slow enough to get the job done right and so far its working. Spirit is present and strong in my life. I’m learning to let go and simply be, allowing Spirit to work in and through my life, learning to feel and trust that inner voice, my intuition, and Spirit’s presence so I can grow and become a better person, with a great Spiritual presence and positive in energy in and around my life.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 6 of Wands and Being Thankful more than Prideful for Talents and Successes
I had a quiet day at home yesterday. Good for the heart and soul. We ran a few errands in the afternoon then got together with a friend for dinner at Wild Rice New Westminster—the Shanghai Braised Beef I had was very good as were the Polenta Fries and Lamb Pot Stickers we had for appetizers. The service was mediocre though.
Then for a short while after we parted company with the friend we watched the set up many takes of a movie shoot right outside our building. The working title of the movie is Nautilus, a new installment or remake of a Godzilla movie. The street outside our building resembled the aftermath of an explosion, a burned out car and rubble littered the street and through the magic of movies we were now living in San Francisco. Nautilus here in New Westminster.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “6 of Wands: The Parade. Appreciation for those who stand up for themselves. The courage of one’s convictions. Admiration, acclaim, pride.”
Although it is good to believe in one’s convictions and have a degree of pride in one’s accomplishments we must guard against allowing ourselves to feeling superior to others because of our accomplishments. Our talents are not merely our own, they are the gifts of the Divine and molded by those around us. We need to celebrate our successes with an eye toward being thankful for the abilities granted to us by a greater presence than our own.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Delete Five Posts-What Was I Thinking?
I was looking at my blog on my phone and notice that each post was repeated three or four times so I though to myself "this is weird but then I remembered that over the past week or so I've has to click on the "publish" a few times before it appeared to "click" so I deleted all of the extra post for the past week. Well, as you can imagine it deleted the entire daily posts that I made this past week...OOPS!
So I re-entered all of the posts as best as I could but unfortunately I lost the titles for each post some of which I found real attention grabbers. Live and Learn.
But I did enjoy re-reading some of the posts so Spirit had a reason for me to hit that "Delete" button and confirmation to delete. I get the message.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The Man of Swords and the Need to Change
Friday, June 7, 2013
Had another decent day yesterday. I made more progress on the RV however still need to make significant changes and progress on myself. Had a bit of a rough start to my day yesterday morning as I could not finish my coffee as I started feeling quite ill. It did pass though. Oh, and I picked up my ring I purchased last year in Portland. A garnet fell out so I had it replaced. I paid more for the replacement than what I paid for the ring but I’m happy with my decision to do it. The ring looks amazing and the jewelers really like the ring and its design. Now it is apparently worth more than I paid for it. The value is not as important to me as the style and energy the ring has about it. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is a return visitor, the “Man of Swords: A rational, scientific approach. A thorough investigation.”
“Is the (Man) Knight of Swords energy helping or hurting? Learning the Tarot, Joan Bunning, Weiser Books, 1998, Page 239
I hear the message of this Man of Swords, loud and clear. My eyes have been opened and I’ve take a long hard look at myself in the mirror and beyond and yes I do need to make some drastic changes in the way I deal with other people.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The Man/Knight of Swords and a Good Hard Look at Myself
Thursday, June 6, 2013
Yesterday was another decent day both weather wise as well as in me getting things done. I visited my RV, what I refer to as my sanctuary and built a couple of door frames for the cupboard below the desk I’m building in what used to be the dinette area. I was in the zone, having a good experience both in what I was doing as well as spiritually too! While reviewing my work last night through view a snapshots I took of my work I realized that I’ll need to re-work one of the door frames as an adjustment is needed is one the cupboard sidewalls. It’s out by about ½”.
Thank You Spirit.
Here I am writing about repairs and remodels to an RV on a blog that is supposed to be devoted to all things spiritual. As we are probably aware Spirit is everywhere, in all places and works with us no matter where we are or what we may be doing. Working on my RV has become a commitment for me as I do believe it to truly be a place of sanctuary for me and I want to be able to have this sanctuary of mine fit my needs, be comfortable, and more importantly mobile.
Yesterday was likely the first day that I really felt the presence of Spirit with me as I worked on my RV and it is a great feeling to have, working in unison with Spirit, knowing what I’m doing is right.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the Man of Swords: A rational, scientific approach. A thorough investigation.”
This is a great card and a great reminder for me to look at myself in the mirror and do an honest evaluation of who I am and the mark I make upon the world. As I contemplated this card with an eye toward self-evaluation I also picked up the book Learning the Tarot by Joan Bunning and had an eye-opening experience. I recognized that I own or exhibit many of the negative traits of the Man or Knight of Cups and I really don’t like this at all. Change is set in motion. I’m shedding my old skin for a new me.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The Youth of Coins and Making Progress
Wednesday, June 5, 2013
Had a good yesterday. Made some progress at the gym, at the RV, with Spirit, with my CV or résumé. I will likely update my online résumé as well. As I was thinking about what to type here and then while typing I thought to myself “Would anyone pay me to travel in an RV and write about my experiences?” I guess I’ll be finding out the answer to that question soon enough.
We had a quiet evening at home and a very simple meal. I contemplated, spiritualized and visualized for a good part of the night. I was a bit sleepy around 5:00pm though and thankfully we decided to drop a couple of items off and the drycleaners and go for a quick walk. That perked me up for a bit so when 9:30-10:00pm rolled around I was not falling asleep on the sofa.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Youth of Coins: Focusing on the physical. Beginning a regimen. Matters relating to nutrition and exercise.”
This card absolutely reflects my thoughts at the time I was shuffling the cards and unifying myself with Spirit, it actually fell away from the deck while I was shuffling. I think it is time to really focus on eating healthy, staying active, believing in myself and molding the physical world with my presence. I’ll do this by accomplishing my dreams and goals and living my life, my way. I may not please everyone in the process but I need to be me, really be me for a change.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 9 of Coins and a Productive Day
Tuesday, June 4, 2013
A beautiful day!
I ended up having a great yesterday however for the first part of it, not long after I wrote, I was filled with a sense of dread so I wasted most of my morning doing a whole lot of nothing. However, I recovered and went on to having a productive and thankful day.
I had a thankful day because I realized that as much as I want change in my life I am living a good and decent life today. I have nice and comfortable home, a great relationship, and live in a stable environment.
I had a productive day because I was able to whip up a pan of Date Squares as well as a Banana Cream Pie for dessert and Pork Loin Chop and Celery Soup type casserole for dinner. This dish also included onions, potatoes, sour cream, and shredded cheddar cheese-scrumptious! Oh, I also finished a couple of loads of laundry.
Thank You Spirit.
Today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “9 of Coins: Rewards. Enjoying the fruits of your labour. Well-deserved enjoyment.”
This card is wonderful in the sense it is a reminder to enjoy the work I do however, I think hidden in this meaning is that I must also guard against resting on my laurels and doing nothing to achieve the goals and dreams I most desire. To get my life to where I want it to be requires discipline, planning, hard work, and sacrifice however these will be rewarded with my achieving the results I most desire. So off I go on a planned route that also requires adjustments and refinement so it is the best plan to move forward with. I must also remain flexible enough to be able to adapt and change course as needed if the ride gets bumpy along the way.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 4 of Cups and Looking Out for New Opportunities
Monday, June 3, 2013
We had a quiet day yesterday. We took a quick walk, ran a few errands and then stayed in the rest of the day. Boring for some but perfect for us. We are comfortable spending a quiet day at home visiting with our selves, getting to know who we are as individuals, self-knowledge. We do not need to get into the busyness of life in order to have a good or even active day. We’re not boring we’re just us.
Thank you Spirit.
Today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Cups: The Audition. A new opportunity or choice presents itself. Everything hangs in the balance. Nervousness, excitement.”
I’m going ahead with my plans today but with a new eye out looking for a new opportunity or two that may present themselves. I feel good about today and will be open to opportunity, making new friends, earning a little bit of income or taking possession of a new RV or even a piece of property should someone be giving either of these away.
Actually, each and every time I plan to and then go out to visit and work on my RV I’m filled with nervousness and excitement, it’s just the way it is but I’m getting more comfortable with what I’m doing because it feels right and my chosen path and desire to RV fits with where I feel the cosmos wants me to go and has wanted me to go for many years now. But my heart and mind are open to Spirit’s calling wherever it may lead me.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 3 of Coins, the Ace of Coins and Strength of Spirit.
Blessings. Returned last night from a quick overnight trip to the island. Decided to drive a niece over to a conference in Victoria via an afternoon tour of the island from Nanaimo to Victoria-just beautiful.
So I had a busy day on Saturday playing chauffeur, tourist guide, host, and a tourist myself as we ferried over to Nanaimo followed by that drive down to Victoria. Two hours of lunch and a walk about of Nanaimo’s Old City Quarter and Art’s District was followed by the murals of Chemainus and the friendly streets of Victoria.
Dinner was had at the Lotus Pond, a non descript restaurant serving up great vegetarian food then more walking before a stop at Starbucks for tea, mocha, and a coffee, the three of us people watching as we savoured our hot beverages. Then we returned the niece to the residences at the University of Victoria before returning to our residence for the night, The Gatsby Mansion.
Saturday’s visiting Tarot Card is the “3 of Coins: A Child’s Room. Creating a positive environment for someone. Work done for the pleasure of it.”
I tend to view this as me doing this for another however today (Saturday) I feel that this card applies to me creating a positive environment for myself and the work done for the pleasure of it is my study of all things Spiritual as well as the repair of my new home, my RV. Oh, and this work also includes my crafts, working my crafts through the spiritual creativity that flows through me. Thank You Spirit.
So we spent our Saturday walking about Victoria as I visited some wonderful retailers:
Triple Spiral Metaphysical, Instinct Art and Gifts, Avalon Metaphysical Centre, and The Railhead Model Trains. I thoroughly enjoyed myself as I browsed each of these stores and picked up an item or two from a few of them. We have visited Victoria at least three or four times and this weekend was the first time we discovered and visited Market Square, what a wonderful space this is. The courtyard is a wonderful place to soak up the sun and be serenaded by the birds. Quiet space when we were there to simply "be".
The ferry ride to and from the island as well as our pit stops here and there gave me time to read, study, and contemplate Spirit and how much I learned from doing so. Oh, I almost forgot about my visit to Lobelia's Lair in Nanaiom where I picked up some black tourmaline and carnelian crystals/
Today’s visiting Tarot Card is the Ace of Coins: A gift of security. Starting to build or construct something. A fertile environment.”
Spirit has gifted me with the building of a new life and constructing my new life on a solid, spiritual foundation where my mind is fertile ground for the germination and growth of a new spiritual understanding of this world we live in.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Blessed Be.
