We made a quick visit to a friend, checking out his new digs and simply catching up. His house is in a quiet neighbourhood in East Vancouver. After our quick visit it was off to the movies. We drove down to the Festival/Fifth Avenue Cinemas to watch “Blancanieves”, a Spanish movie that puts a little twist in the Snow White fairy tale. I quite enjoyed the movie but it’s definitely not for everyone—a black and white silent movie. We had some time before the movie so we grabbed a snack and latte at Elysian Coffee just around the corner from the cinema, part of the same building. A great latte and a fantastic cookie. Then as we headed for a quiet evening at home, we completed our weekly shopping and actually felt good about it.

I see this card and think to myself that I just plain and simply need to be me! I just want live my plain, ordinary and simple life. Yeah, I guess I have one little twist in that I want to live my plain and simple life living and traveling in an RV, earning my keep through my self-expression. Is this too much to ask? Not at all. Can be done and is being done by many—simple lives being lived on the road.
