The 8 of Cups and Facing Up to the Truth of Needed Change

We had a wonderful day yesterday.

We decided to go out and explore nature by taking a walking around a lake.  We drove out to and thoroughly enjoyed Cheam Lake Wetlands.  This is a restored lake and wetlands area.  During the 1950s I believe they decide to drain the lake in order to mine the lake bed for something I think is called Marl, used in agriculture as a fertilizer.  If this information was not provided one would never know that the lake that exists now is not the same lake that was here back in the 1950s and was only refilled back in 1993 after much restoration was done to the lake bed and surrounding area.

When we arrived at the lake we were greeted by an orchestra of birdsong that filled the air the entire hour or so we walked about the area through the three trails that allow one to immerse them into nature.  I wish to return to this serene place again soon for another visit.  It was uplifting in every sense of the word.  To be able to visit this lake in the comfort of an RV so I can enjoy the birdsong, relax, meditate, commune, and just be is an experience I just simply have to have.

Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “8 of Cups: Farewell.  Moving on.  Leaving behind a person, a situation, or a part of yourself.”

Some impact phrases I read from “Learning the Tarot, Joan Bunning, Weiser Books, 1998, page 202” are:
- leaving the rat race
- disentangling myself
- starting on a trip of unknown length
- letting go
- finishing up and moving on
- getting weighed down by worries
- starting on a journey of discovery
- devoting more time to the spiritual

For a long time I have felt that I needed to strike out on an uncommon and risky path in life, one where not many people dare not tread and that is to be my own person living a very nomadic lifestyle.  I have never been content with staying in one place for very long and do not like to put down roots as I need to have movement in life in order to be satisfied.  I have talents and skills to take on the road with me and I shall do just that as one needs to live and in order to live I need to be productive and pay my own way on this journey we know as life.

“The signs of change are in our face, and we must accept them.  It is time to move on.” Learning the Tarot, Joan Bunning, Weiser Books, 1998, page 203

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.
