Today is Walpurgis Eve, tomorrow Beltane or May Day. This completely slipped my mind. I barely remembered the Full Moon last week. Work can sure get in the way of spiritual celebrations. Speak of which, work was kind of steady but slow at the same time yesterday. I’m thinking that it might pick up now that the only televised debate of the election has now come and gone.
We watched that debate (BC's 2013 Provincial election) last night and it was kind of boring to me as nothing really new came to light and one of the leaders continued to trot out statements and claims that have been fact checked and proven to false, misleading, or outright lies. However, her overall performance was seen to be quite stellar but for me she did not perform well based on the false information that she kept claiming to true and accurate when it has been proven to be otherwise. It’ll be interesting to see what the other voters of this province think come May 14th. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Wands: Setting the Stage. Opening night arrives. A venture has been established. Celebrating initial achievements.”
This card is sending a clear message that is further enhanced by yesterdays horoscope reading as well as my own thoughts and dream. My dreams, my truest passions are finally coming to life and starting to be visible in this world. I’m no longer sitting on the fence and truly know deep down that I need to, must pursue and follow my RVing dream. I am no longer waffling about leaving the life I have behind instead I’ll build upon its strengths and move forward with the foundation this, my current life has built for me and my desire to live, work and travel in an RV. This RVing will be kept alive by my devotion to Spirit, of understanding Spirit’s presence in our lives and where Spirit is taking me on my life’s journey.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.
Welcome to Wizard Oron—I’m a Spiritual and Tarot Intuitive and I want to read the cards for you. More specifically I want to see the synergy that exists between you, the cards, and Spirit and assist you in understanding where your life's at now and where it can be tomorrow through looking at and understanding this synergy.

Guide of Coins and Prosperity
Had another quiet day yesterday. We did our weekly shopping, went out for a coffee but then stayed indoors and filled our day with a few chores, quiet contemplation, reading, and conversation. A great day that also included wonderful fried rice for dinner and an orange and a bit yogurt with granola and dried blueberries for dessert. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Guide of Coins: Seeing the magic in the mundane. Spiritual fulfillment from nature. Finding joy in the ordinary.”
My prosperity and spiritual fulfillment do come from nature. Thinking about the diverse life on this wonderful home we call Earth fills me with great joy, love, and spiritual, mental, and emotional well-being. We are born with the greatest gift that life has to offer and that plain and simply is life, of being alive and able to see, touch, smell and enjoy our surroundings and the diversity that this planet gives us each and every day if we are willing to open our minds, hearts and eyes to see it all.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

XVII The Star, Spirit, Faith, and Dreams
A beautiful Sunday morning we have here, the birds are singing, the Moon is fading in the sky giving way to the bright and warming Sun. Ah, what it is to be alive. Falling asleep with Spirit and awaking with Spirit’s presence filling my heart and soul and surrounding all that is me is a great way to start this glorious day.
The work day came and went fairly quickly yesterday. A steady stream of people came into vote early or verify their registration on the voter’s list. I did not have much time to idle. This is a great job! The walk to work was wet and an umbrella necessary however the walk home was warm and dry. The remainder of the afternoon and evening were quiet for us, just the way we tend to like them. Thank You Spirit.
Since I awoke again and heard the birds serenading the dawning of this beautiful day I set out to try and record hat I was hearing and it worked. The “voice recorder” on my phone easily picked up the sounds of the morning songs and chatter of the birds filling our urban landscape with their wonderful presence. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “XVII The Star: Spirit is Real. Hope. Serenity. Clarity. Having faith in an underlying or overlying spirit. A dream becomes real.”
This is exactly the feeling that fills me today. This is how I awoke after a great night of sleep and the presence of Spirit dwelling within and without. Spirit abounds and all we need to do is to be open to Spirit’s presence and Spirit will take care of the rest. Spirit communicates in all forms and fashions and all we need to be is to be open to spirit and have faith that Spirit is with us in our daily lives to hear, feel, sense, know, understand ,and maybe even touch Spirit’s presence in our lives.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

4 of Coins and Thinking Freely
Another work day lies before me before a singles day off that precludes my next three days of work, enjoyable but work all the same. I have talents that I will work on improving over the coming days so that when this temporary work assignment is over I can spend some time on a few of my talents and see what I can make of them and how they may assist me when I’m on the road in my home and RV.
Yesterday was kind of weird day, met a new acquaintance, and ended for a moment in an uncomfortable kind of way. Last August we decided to see Ballet BC’s spring performance of Giselle. Little did we know that this was going to be a 21st Century Contemporary adaptation of this ballet classic? My partner was terribly disappointed and could hardly wait to leave once the performance was over. So for anyone that is a traditionalist when it comes to ballet this performance might not be for you. The set is almost non-existent, really quite a minimalist stage presence albeit for the large video screen at the back of the stage that is filled with abstract imagery and movement. We survived the performance and although it was not a traditional performance of Giselle I accepted it for what it is and walked away accepting of the fact that a choreographer wanted to give this ballet a modern twist and this is what is clearly present on the stage. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “4 of Coins: The Lighting Director. A position of power. Wanting to control how others perceive things.”
I sometimes get caught in this idea that people have to think the same way that I do but I’m becoming much better at bringing my objectivity to the forefront when I find myself becoming to preachy or pushy with my conversations or debates with others including myself.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

VII The Chariot and Getting In Control of My Life
Well I allowed myself to get a late start on things today so I could instead listen to a political debate for the upcoming BC Provincial Election. I then got onto doing other things before working with Tarot as much I can say that I worked with Tarot today. I went through the motions is about all I’ve done today. Kind of disappointed in myself but I’ll just move on and let things be. Thank you Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “VII The Chariot: Among the highs and lows of life, make sure you enjoy the highs. At the top of one’s. Seizing an opportunity. Having everything under control (barely).”
My immediate thought to seeing this card is to focus on and improve on the talents I already have in order to plan for, achieve and embrace the future I desire for myself. I guess I was kind of thinking about that yesterday to as we walked along the river and enjoyed the warmth and comfort of the sun as we walked. I have a talent in making handcrafted cards and to some extent with beading and making bracelets. I know knitting basics and have a great ability to spool-knit. I am connected with Spirit and have a great understanding of Spirit and Tarot, surprisingly much more than I thought I had. I’m also a decent amateur ventriloquist and musician. So I have talents I just need to focus on these talents and the ones I’m best at in order to seize opportunities in order to create the future life I want.
I’m getting there and can get even closer by continuing to live and celebrate the present and by improving the talents I already have and using them to secure financial independence and financial control over my own life. I can, will, and am living the life I want!
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

2 of Swords and Making Decisions
Two days off and I’m happy to have them. I thoroughly enjoy my work with Elections BC however having days off never hurts either. Yesterday was a relatively quiet day and the office was warm for a change, almost too hot if you can believe it. Then the evening was spent with a one of our friends, we invited over for dinner as we always seem to have more food than the two of us can eat and it never hurts spending time with friends. Then the evening was over, he went home, we cleaned up, relaxed a bit then went to bed.
I awoke this morning before 6:00am. I was looking forward to sleeping in and awaking after 7am but I guess that was not in the cards. I tried to drift back into dreamland but I just tossed and turned so I dragged myself out of bed after twenty minutes of doing that. Another beautiful day greets me and I’m glad to be awake and have some alone time. I had time with my thoughts and reflected on one that I had yesterday where in the middle of something I was doing at work I blurted out “I want to live in my RV”. Knowing that this is something that I want to do I realized, that I can do it any time I want really. Not a lot is stopping other than me making the decision to actually do it.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “2 of Swords: Meditation. Closing your eyes to outer circumstances in order to gain perspective or to avoid a decision. Refusing to act".
And lo and behold this card is totally representative of my waffling and refusal to make a decision about where I want my life to go. I cannot do anything proper or well if I sit on the fence and waffle about the decision. I’ve more or less being doing this for the past seven years. I think it is high time I made a decision and move on one way or another. Then I might be able to make something of my life, whatever the decision is that I make.
And I do want to live in my RV.
Thank you Spirit.
Blessed Be.

XVIII The Moon and Mystery, Creativity, and Sexuality
As I sat down to work with Tarot, birds were singing and then it dawned on me that a particular bird song sounded quite close so I looked out the window only to catch a glimpse of small bird on the deck railing in the second he decides to fly away. He or she landed nearby and continued to serenade this beautiful morning.
But getting back to yesterday, I had a full and busy day at work before returning home to only relax for a little bit before we ate dinner and flew out the door. We had a play to get to. A new, local and aspiring theatre company, Ghost Light Projects decided to do “Love! Valor! Compassion!". The play itself was as good as it could be in a venue that was too small and tried to squeeze seven guys into the space of a small closet. Some actors shone while others missed their mark but we’re glad we went. The evening was warm and the Moon was shining brightly.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “XVIII The Moon: Sexuality pulls us into a different, non-rational world which is sometimes frightening, always creative. A sense of mystery. Creative ideas which gestate in the subconscious. Sexuality or sex".
I have a few creative ideas I’m sitting on until my cold dissipates enough to allow me to get at them but in the meantime I will allow them to gestate for the time being. The Full Moon is tomorrow and I have not to my chagrin given her much thought however with the sun shining and the temperatures warming I may venture outside tomorrow evening and soak up the light of the moon and listen to as much of nature I can hear in this small but noisy city. My Full Moon celebration may also include taking with me my Tarot Cards and Crystals so they can be recharged, re-energized by the beauty of the Moon.
Another work day is a calling so off I go to get on with my day!
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

5 of Cups and Turning Regret Into Opportunity
Yesterday was a beautiful day outside but a freezing one and I almost literally meaning freezing in the office. Everyone was wearing their jackets. Te air con was running full blast and was it ever cold and did it ever wreak havoc on my cold. I came home feeling as bad if not worse than I was when I awoke on Sunday and decided to go to the doctor.
We had leftovers for dinner and dinner was as great as the first time we served this dish to ourselves. Then it was another quiet evening of chatting with friends through texts, reading and watching the late night news before hitting the bed. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “5 of Cups: The Aftermath. Regret over past actions.”
I must be harbouring some lingering doubts and regrets over things in my past so I will do my best to put a stop to this and turn these feelings of regrets into opportunities. No sense in wallowing in self-pity and regret; it’s time to move one and break free of such nonsense and use my talents to move me toward my dreams and goals.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

10 of Cups and Overcoming Doubt
Earth Day. How many people realize that we are intertwined with this planet we often show little respect for where instead we should be treating her as well as or better than we treat ourselves?
I finally broke down yesterday and went to see the doctor. Lo and behold, I have a sinus and nasal infection and have two prescriptions to combat my illness, a pill and a nasal spray. I’ve only taken three doses of each and feel better than I have in almost three weeks. I can almost hear normally and do things ever seem loud now. I’m almost feeling back to normal. Oh, I’m also using crystal energy and the healing energy of Spirit in conjunction with these prescription drugs. Thank You Spirit.
Otherwise, yesterday was a quiet day with a quick jaunt out for an afternoon coffee/tea before spending the rest of the afternoon and evening at home with the heat on and me wrapped in a warm blanket and crystals in my pockets. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Cups: The Ideal. Your secret dreams. Attainment. Unrealistic, wishful thinking.”
I awoke in the middle of the night thinking about my “secret” dreams and spent a little while overcoming doubts I often have about this dream and then quickly fell asleep knowing that at one time such a dream was simply unrealistic and wishful thinking but now it is close to being my reality. A few more steps to take and my dreams will be mine to live and share with those around me.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Knight of Pentacles and Budgeting Time and Money
Evening spent with friends is what took up last night. We had a good visit although our dinner out could have been better. We patronized another local establishment where I thought the food was acceptable and nothing more. We came back home and had tea and dessert and a very colourful conversation as always with these two friends. But one thing I noticed is that I was feeling great after tea and dessert, my cold symptoms disappeared but they’re back this morning.
Today we are visiting with yet again another friend. I think it will be an early afternoon visit so the evening should be our own. I’ll be happy with that as tomorrow is another work day and I always like to have Sunday evenings to ourselves that are quiet and peaceful.
My new albeit temporary work environment is definitely a contributing factor to my prolonged cold as a co-worker is also battling a cold and also notices that his symptoms get much worse in the office than when he is outside or at home. The office and likely the ventilation system are probably in need of a good cleaning. I’m not feeling terrible this morning but I’m still with the cold and in fact awoke feeling like I had a cold more than the last few mornings.
I worked with a different deck of Tarot Cards this morning. Although, the deck is not new to me, it took me a while to get a good feel for today’s visiting Tarot Card. This deck and accompanying book are simply called “Tarot: The Complete Kit” and were developed by Dennis Fairchild and illustrated by Julie Paschkis. Dennis Fairchild has a couple of websites associated with his name. I wrote about this deck before and in fact I sometimes I use it in conjunction with my main deck. With my main deck, I discover the visiting Tarot Card and then find the same card in this deck to further contribute to what each days card is about.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Knight of Pentacles: You’ve been questioning whether you’ll ever have enough money to get the things you want and need. You rarely feel discouraged, but lately you lack confidence in the future. Success is around the corner, but first you must learn to budget time and money better. When reversed: The key to your future financial security is to stop overspending. Cut back. Start looking at bottom lines, what you owe, and to whom you owe it.” Running Press, 1996, 2002.
This is always a lesson I need to learn and in fact I’ve struggled with this my entire working life. Today though, seems different and I am learning how to budget my time and much better. In fact, I’ve learned this the hard way as I’ve written about previously so I’m very conscious about my bank account balances as well as where and how I spend my money and time. My money spending is very much under strict controls as it is very limited. My time is something I working on as I want to spend as much time on working toward the future I believe is right for me instead twiddling my thumbs and watching the life I desire slip away. This includes learning more about and expanding the talents I have as well as trying to firm up my future plans and goals so that they are as specific as possible and achievable.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

5 of Swords and Wearing a Smile
Okay, I’m still struggling to get over this danged cold so perhaps, it’s high time that I go see a doctor about it. My ears being plugged up is the most irritating aspect of this cold, everything else I can deal with. Maybe I have an infection, an ear infection maybe. I had a fairly quiet day yesterday only venturing out a couple of times, one for more over the counter cold medication and the other to have dinner with friends something else we’ll be doing this evening. Dinner and conversation were a good way to spend the evening. Oh, I also threw together a Cuban meal, Ropa Vieja. Hopefully, it’ll be a hit. Thank You Spirit.
Today is work day for Elections BC. A slightly shorter day and a Saturday to boot. I wonder I how busy we’ll be with potential voters. And in other news I need to get my ass in gear and start getting things rolling for a life on the road. I need to get to practicing a few of my hobbies, one of which involves performing. More to come on this later. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “5 of Swords: The Tennis Game. Being overly competitive. A game which gets out of hand. A pattern of always needing to win, or to lose.”
I think I’ll need to bite my tongue today and put a lot of thought into the words that come out of my mouth and do my best to keep from getting into any situation that could become combative. I think the best approach to take is to wear smile on my face all day and heck I should do this every day.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

II The Intuitive and Getting to Know Myself
We awoke in a bit of frenzy this morning as we set the alarm incorrectly and one of us wanted to be up at 6:30am not 7am. However, everything worked out okay and off to work my other half went. So this morning things happened a little differently than they normally do so I’ve worked with Tarot, got a dinner in the slow cooker, and am back to writing about what today’s Tarot Card represents to and for me. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “II the Intuitive: To be true to oneself, one must know oneself. Looking within for answers. Meditation. Intuition. Exploring that which is normally hidden.”
I’m in a self-discovery mode and likely have been for quite awhile now; trying to really get to know myself and what I truly want/need/expect out of life, out of my life. Lately, I’m quite comfortable with my life and feel like I’ve been very much living and appreciating the present more than worry about the future and what I most desire out of the future. I’m comfortable with today while full well knowing that the future will unfold in ways that best suit my truest needs and desires. My RV is definitely going to be a part of it as well, that is something I plain and simply know without a shadow of a doubt, RVing is definitely in my future.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

7 of Wands and Doing What You Love
Today is my day off and I’m glad to have it. Over the past three days I’ve discovered that working in a closed in office environment is actually the reason my cold is dragging on so much. I feel pretty good when I awake in the mornings and as I make my way to the office. But as the day progresses I get to feeling worse with each passing hour and by the time I head for home my sinuses are stuffed up and I’m trying to cough up a lung. Since I’m home today I’ll get to find out if my hypothesis about the office is correct.
We had a quiet evening just the way I like them. We had a nice hot bowl of pea soup for dinner. That really lifts up the spirits and makes me feel so much better too!
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “7 of Wands: Fighting the wind. A Quixotic struggle. Winning against the odds. Confrontation.”
Hopefully, I have no confrontations today. As I was going about working with Tarot I closed my eyes for a moment and allowed the vision of myself driving my RV down the highway fill my mind. I could see as I glanced back into the living quarters of the RV the completion of all of my hard work. The kitchen and office walls were covered with the brick patterned wallpaper; the desktop was stained a nice jade green; the cupboard cabinets and doors I made looked great with their fresh coats of brown paint; and I even made the bed that day before driving off to my next destination.
Yesterday, I was reminded that I need to write my own story and today I’m reminded that I can do it, that I can succeed, it may be a struggle but if life in an RV is what I want, or what I think I need I can have that life; I just have to do it, go for it and do it and the RV lifestyle is mine to live.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

10 of Coins and Authoring My Own Life
I had a decent day at work yesterday. A few early voters came into vote and we are also gearing for General Election Day on May 14th. My cold is waning and I’m feeling better than I was yesterday. Hopefully, this is trend toward restored health. One thing I realize about working thought is that I’d like to have my own schedule so I need to really put some real effort into developing my own income generating idea(s) and put them to work for me. I have a few ideas so I’ll start mapping them out his evening instead of turning on the TV.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “10 of Coins: History. A knowledge of and appreciation for history. Seeing your concerns in a larger context. Seeing your life as a story; who is the author?”
I really do appreciate our history as a species and always wish that the political leaders in the world would also see and appreciate history and learn lessons from it but so far we are not having much luck with that. For myself I look at our history and try to learn from it and put into perspective as to how it can relate to today. How can the past influence or make our present and then our future any better than what we’ve lived in the past. For example, advances in technology are great but are they also having a negative or dampening effect or is it affect on society? Is a simpler life only a thing of the past or can we also live a simple life alongside of and in a way by taking advantage of technology in some way to make our life better as well as for the rest of society and the world at large?
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

The 7 of Coins, Chores, and the Highway of Life
I slept soundly but apparently snored very loudly when I first fell asleep and kept someone up for an hour or so. I’m feeling better than I did yesterday morning, thank goodness. Hopefully, this is a good sign and that the worst of this cold is over and done with. I have a full day of work ahead of me today and tomorrow and again on Saturday.
I felt very crappy during my training yesterday but improved significantly once I got home and had a nice cup of tea and wrapped myself in a nice warm and fuzzy jacket. I will dress with as many layers as I can today as the office is a little on the cold side and I do not want to feel cold.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “7 of Coins: Chores. Resting after a job well done. Contemplating life's cycles and changes. Planning your next move. Clearing out what's unnecessary in your life to make way for something new."
I’d like to clear away whatever is hindering my path to a better life, a better way of thinking, a better way of living whether it be mental, psychological, emotional, spiritual, or physical so that I can really get myself on the path the feel right for me. I’ve always been drawn to road, of traveling from one place to another with no clear destination in mind and this is where I need to get to. I need to get myself mobile and let things fall into place as the universe sees fit. This is and will be my focus as I get more free time on my hands so that I can get my new home ready for the road, roadworthy enough to allow me to set out on the highway of life and head toward the unknown.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

3 of Wands and Progress
I’ve awakened feeling a tad worse than I have been the last couple of days. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say that I now have the flu and not just a simple cold.
Yesterday, we met up with took a friend of ours out to lunch for his birthday; a last minute get together as he was in town after canceling a weekend get-away after his dog got sick in the car. It was nice to see him and do something with him on his birthday.
Lunch was large enough that it became our dinner too! So without having to plan for and make dinner we puttered around the condo doing a whole lot of nothing. Actually, a bit of laundry got done, along with a bit of cleaning and oh yeah, a haircut for me. Later in the evening we watched an episode of “The 80s: The Decade That Made Us” on National Geographic Channel. I like most of the episode and look forward to watching the others.
I seemed to have a nightlong dream last night. I remember a large circular wooden desk with people sitting in the middle and monitoring things, no, not things, but rather, people’s lives. Even after I awoke and used the bathroom I fell asleep right back into this dream. I cannot quite figure out what was going on but people’s lives appeared to be being managed form this desk.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card fell away from the deck and is the “3 of Wands: Leaving the nest. Seeing progress. Something or someone you have nurtured must now strike out on their own."
My immediate thought is that “progress must now strike out on its own.” This could be so as I get the feeling that progress in my life, in the direction I want it to go is being made without me fretting about it. I have no worries just a simple state of being and being happy about it.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Man of Coins and Success
Well yesterday I remembered that I could battle this cold in a couple of different ways so I implemented a new approach to my cold yesterday. I used crystals and a salt water steam. Lo and behold I’m feeling almost back to normal. Energy, healing energy is always around and all I had to do was tap into it and let it go to work on me. Thank You Spirit.
We had a very quiet and almost inactive day yesterday. We went out and had our coffee at the quay and took a walk along the river and into the park and back home. I relaxed, watched TV, read a little bit and just allowed the energy wash over me, boost my energy, and wash the sickness off of me. Soon we had dinner and then I got into watching a movie that lasted three and half hours due to all of the commercial breaks. “2012”, I don’t know what to say about this movie..."2012"...just can't come up with an opinion about this movie!
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Man of Coins: Responsible and hardworking. Reliable. Dependable.” And also: “Success is around the corner, but first you must learn to budget time and money better.”
However, my immediate reaction to this card is that I, that we should stop measuring success with money. Success is more than about money, it’s about being human, being compassionate and respectful, loving, caring, being responsible, being connected to all life, seen and unseen, known and unknown. Success should also come from the heart.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Sage of Cups and Emotional Maturity
Another uneventful and fairly quiet day we had yesterday. We did go out for a brief shopping trip and then vegetated on the sofa for most of the afternoon or at least that is what I did. This cold has really beaten me down. I’m going stir crazy with not going out of the house very much but I can barely function at times. I’m drinking lots of liquid, eating as normally as I can and getting plenty of rest but it is really hard to shake this cold. I am getting better but at a snail’s pace.
We had a friend and neighbor over for dinner last night as well. It was a good visit, short and sweet. He and his partner live one floor below us. After that it was a bit of a clean-up, sit and watch a bit of news and then off to bed.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Sage of Cups: Emotional maturity. A good mediator or counselor.”
I have reached a level of emotional maturity where I can deal with my emotions without getting bogged down with emotion if that makes any sense. Also, I can make decisions, sometimes tough decisions without letting my emotions get in the way. However, I still tend to be a very emotional person and this is what keeps me going, keeps me sane.
Thank You Spirit.

XIX The Sun and I'm Ordinary
Colds can be so deceptive. Some mornings I awake feeling great and thinking I’m done with the cold only to discover and hour or so later that the cold is not done with me. My sinuses clog up and I start to feel miserable again. This morning I’m feeling pretty good but am just waiting for the return of those nasty cold symptoms that drag me down for the rest of the day. Although I felt crappy yesterday I still wanted to get out of the house and take care of a couple of errands so that is what we did even venturing out for a coffee later in the afternoon.
Did I feel better? No, not all, maybe a little worse but I needed to get out into the fresh air. I’d like to get out again today but rain is fast moving in so I’m not sure if I’ll get out and enjoy a bit of that fresh air we city dwellers get to breath in every day. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “XIX The Sun: The best moments in life are rooted in the ordinary. Contentment. Optimism. Ordinariness. Satisfaction from a job well done. Familiarity.”
I’m a plain and simple person, quite ordinary really and you know what I’m okay with that. There is nothing wrong with being ordinary. I quite like being ordinary actually. I’m content with my ordinariness.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

7 of Cups and Time for Action
I stayed in all day yesterday. My cold got the better of me, my worst day yet with this nasty cold. But I’m done with it. I’m tired of this cold and it’s time for it to move on.
I had a hard time focusing on anything yesterday with all of the coughing I was doing so I just sat on the sofa and flipped channels the entire day. Not until the evening could I actually focus my thoughts enough to read although I tried my best to engage Spirit throughout the day. I think that’s what kept me going yesterday, helped me keep my sanity about me.
As I brushing my teeth last in preparation to go to bed an image of me removing the front bed-over-cab window in my RV filled my mind. In particular, I was installing the interior wall in order to cover up the window opening on the inside. Odd! Actually, I tried to look a t a few photos of the RV last night but I sensed that I was wasting my time; that all the work was done and all I had to do was pack up the RV and start driving. Quite bizarre really.
I felt Spirits presence throughout the evening and well into my sleep and as I tossed and turned a few times. I visited with a very nice couple in my dreams and thoughts. Perhaps the God and Goddess?
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “7 of Cups: The Bookstore. Choosing between different approaches. Contemplating choices when you should be acting.”
It’s time for action I guess. No more need to mull things over. I’ve done enough mulling and now need to make a choice and act on it. Both choices have a lot of unknowns but a choice must be made and I must move on it. I thought I had made a choice however I guess I have made a very firm choice and must firmly decide on a direction I want go on in life so the universe can help guide and support me in what I need to do and do so with purpose.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Guide of Swords: Letting Spirit Guide Me
I’ve been letting this cold get the better of me but today is the day where I’ve had enough of this cold and “will” myself to be better. Enough of this cold laden misery.
The rain is coming down hard and heavy yet I’d like to be parked out in the middle of a meadow in my RV to experience this. A hot mug of coffee in hand as I lean out the door and allow a bit of rain wash over me. The wind is driving the rain into the windows now. Hard to believe this is supposed to let up as the day progresses. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card flipped over in the deck as I shuffled it, the Guide of Swords: A wider perspective. Altruistic thoughts. Messages from the higher self.”
As I awoke this morning a conversation seemed to be taking place in my mind and is continuing as I write this: “messages from the higher self” I suppose. I don’t want to get into the details of what is going through my mind this morning however I do believe it will lead to greater spiritual growth and understanding. From what I can tell the last few days have been very educational for me on that front: Spirit is Alive and Well.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

9 of Cups and Simply Being
I had a relaxing day at home for the most part as we did go out briefly to pick up a few things to complete a couple of home chores that has been our “To Do List” for some time: cleaning and sealing the grout in the tub/shower. After that we sat at home, reading, relaxing, watching a bit of television, well I did that mostly: took in a couple of baseball games. But the best part of my day was spent reading Adelina St. Clair’s book, The Path of a Christian Witch.
Adelina has taken a path that I think most Christians and Witches/Wiccans would frown upon and that is of blending the two spiritual paths into one, a path that fit with her identity and needs as a person in need of and on a spiritual quest. For her neither of these paths was a complete whole; the only completeness she found was to put the two together and let them intermingle in her spiritual consciousness and it was there she found spiritual fulfillment.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “9 of Cups: Serendipity. Satisfaction. Everything is going well.” Today I’m simply “being”. I have no needs or desires to fulfill, I’m content and in need of nothing. Yes, I still have dreams and desires but for the moment I have no need to fret or worry about achieving them, no anxiety that they will not come to be, simply put I am content with having today.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

9 of Wands and Open My Heart and Be Free
We had another fairly quiet day yesterday. My brother came to visit in the morning and we took the train to Commercial Drive to pick up a few things and have a coffee before heading back home. Upon our arrival back home we did a bit of organizing before I started dinner, a beef and cabbage stew. It turned out very well. I'll be making it again for sure. We relaxed the rest of the evening.
Spirit Is and today's visiting Tarot Card is the "9 of Wands: Don’t mess with me. Defensiveness. Putting up barriers to avoid intimacy." I need to open up my heart and be free. My arms are open wide so I may receive and know the love of the universe.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

XII The Hanged Man and Today
Another day behind us. We had a pretty lazy Saturday but those are exactly the kind of Saturdays and weekends that I like, a do nothing kind of day. Of course, there was not a whole lot of relaxing as we did go out and do a few things like pick up a package from UPS, drop by the mall to replace our Smartphone screen protectors – didn’t happen; buy a few clothes, visit Ikea and pick up a few under bed shoe bins before returning home for lunch.
A few weeks ago, we used our Crock-Pot slow cooker and again noticed the smell of melting plastic; we’ve noticed this smell since we first used it. This time I investigated the slow cooker more thoroughly and noticed a hole melted through the plastic in the back of the slow cooker base. So I got on the telephone the next day and contacted the customer service office of Crock-Pot as they had no repair facilities anywhere near Vancouver. I was not expecting much but they blew us away with their customer service (Thank You Loletta!) and concern over our defective slow cooker and beyond that , they said they were sending us a new one by UPS. I scanned our original purchase receipt (June 2012) and sent it to them and they emailed information on the shipment of the new slow cooker to us. I noticed that our address was incorrect in the email so I fired off an email stating this as a shipment had just left their office. No problem, they’ll send out another slow cooker!
Well as it turns out the address was only incorrect in the email they sent to me and not on the two packages that arrived yesterday. I refused the second parcel so it can go back to Crock-Pot. They exceeded our expectations and will certainly be mentioned in our conversations with family and friends. Thank You Loletta and Crock-Pot for your great service.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “XII The Hanged Man: Living in the moment. Being fully absorbed in the present. Non-attachment to goals. Seeing things from a new angle.”
Today is the only today so today is my focus. I have all of Tarot Decks out on the table and Tarot and Spirit are top of mind. No thinking about my future, no worrying about how I’ll survive life on the road in an RV with no fixed address or permanent employment to support my financial needs. No, just a simple faith and trust in today and all that I have to be thankful for on this day and for all the seconds, minutes, and hours I have left on this “today”, this perfect moment in time.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

IV The Emperor and Respecting and Learning From the Past
I had another successful work day yesterday. Had to tweak a few computers and deal with issues we could not possibly resolve on our own and that was trying. Somewhere, someone dropped the ball but the mistake was fixed through the “backdoor” so-to-speak and lo and behold the computers suddenly had remote access. Papers and supplies were organized and all the computers and printers are up and running. I must give thanks to my previous co-worker for teaching me everything I know, barely know at that. Thank You Spirit.
This cold I’m battling is getting me down and I have a hard time functioning between it and the drugs I’m taking to combat it so I more or less plunk myself down on the sofa and watch the world go on around me. Actually, quite surprisingly I was able to read a little bit last night and thoroughly enjoyed the article I read in Sage Woman magazine Issue 83. The magazine is aimed at the mature female witch but I find the articles and information quite useful in my own life as a witch. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “IV The Emperor: Sometimes one must be a benevolent despot. Organization. Taking charge. An authority figure. Utilizing discipline to provide a structure for creativity.”
This is a very helpful card for me at this time as I need to take charge of my life and provide myself with some organization and structure and the best way I can do that is to respectfully learn from my past as well as to take time to make plans. I need to write things down and commit my thoughts and ideas to paper so they become concrete and part of my purpose. Having concrete ideas before me gives these ideas form, structure, and energy that will be intertwined with all energy that will help me bring them to fruition.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

9 of Swords - I Need to Smile Today
I worked for most of the day yesterday and then came home to then go off to a Strata Council meeting. A busy day. I’m working again today. I want to walk to work but the rain is heavy and it looks to be quite the nasty day out there but I’ll likely walk anyway. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “9 of Swords: Unquiet Dreams. Stress. Worries. Mental tapes which play over and over." I suffer from this quite often but for some reason seeing this card today makes me feel like I’m going to overcome such things and move beyond them by moving forward with my life and leaving such stress and worries behind me.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Ace of Wands - Many Creative Ideas
I had a decent day yesterday. Had a staff meeting for Elections BC and my upcoming office work for them here in New Westminster. I will not be getting as many hours as I thought though that is a kind of bummer. The staff meeting lasted more than hour and I was asked to come in today to help set up the office.
The rest of the day was spent relaxing or as relaxing as it could get as I’m battling a cold and I feel blah! I’ve been thinking about working with yarn now as a new craft that is a little bit easier to do while wanting to sort of do nothing, if you will. For example if I want to be creative with my cards I actually need to sit at my desk and work there whereas with crochet or knitting I can sit on the sofa a do it. I purchased a few books online so now I have to get into a learning mode and learn how to crochet and knit. Knitting I can understand a work with quite easily however crochet has a steep learning curve for me. All fun though. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Ace of Wands: A creative inspiration. The beginning of a project or venture.” This is certainly a reflection of my thoughts over the past several days perhaps even a week or more. I’ve been thinking about ventriloquism, new crafts, and my longstanding desire to get on with a hobby that has fascinated me since my childhood. I’ve been thinking about a studio, a mobile television studio, if you will and how to go about creating video productions on my own. Then how to get people to want to pay for the videos I produce. An idea...an idea that doesn’t seem to be going away.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

7 of Wands
I had a rough time sleeping for a short while, not sure what was up but sleep eventually overcame and I awoke around 7:00am. We had an evening out last night, meeting a friend for dinner at La Casita before taking in the movie “NO”. Both dinner and the movie were enjoyed. We all made it home without incident. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “7 of Wands: Fighting the wind. A Quixotic struggle. Winning against the odds. Confrontation.” Hhhmmm...this card baffles me at the moment but I’ll let it percolate and see what happens throughout the day. But, if anything I get the feeling that I have struggles coming up that I will work through and overcome.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

9 of Wands Open Your Heart
We had another social day yesterday. We had a friend over for lunch and we visited until 7pm. A long day weekend full of social activities. Maybe we need to take weekend for ourselves.
Although, social activities filled our weekend I felt like I was also doing a lot of learning, developing my spirit and growing in my knowledge of myself and what life means to me; my life as well as life overall. I feel good about things and get the sense that my path is more my own today than it has been most of my life. I’m more in control of and steering my life more in the direction I want to go.
Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “9 of Wands: Don’t mess with me. Defensiveness. Putting up barriers to avoid intimacy.” I certainly hope this doesn’t describe me and if it does I need to open my heart wide and be receptive to all the love that comes my way.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.

Man of Coins
April Fool’s Day and Easter Monday. I awoke early to take care of some pork tenderloin we have in the slow cooker, that was around one in the morning. I was only to take the loin out of the slow cooker but I decided to do the next step of shredding it as well and then throwing in back in the slow cooker to marinate in the BBQ sauce and onions until later this morning where I turned the slow cooker back on. Smells delicious.
I awoke a little after 6:30am and lay in bed until almost 7 and when I exited the bedroom and looked out the window to take in the beautiful morning my eyes fell upon the waning moon as she fades out of the brightening sunlit morning sky. Breathtakingly beautiful is she.
Yesterday was another day of social activity for us. We met a friend for coffee and brunch not long after eating our breakfast. The walk uptown stirred up hunger within me so I opted to eat a decent sized meal. The eggs benedict were very good. Maybe we'll give the Coming Home Cafe another chance. My partner opted for coffee and a cookie. We had a good chat and even met some new acquaintances. We walked back down the hill, strolled along Pier Park before taking leave of our friend who had another date, this time for a simple coffee.
We came home and organized a little before going out shopping for a few things including today’s pulled pork sandwiches for lunch, another day of social activity with another friend. We relaxed the rest of the day. Thank You Spirit.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is the “Man of Coins: Responsible and hard-working. Reliable. Dependable.” This sounds like my brother but should also be me and not for anyone else mind you although if I adopt these qualities (for) myself they will then also be a benefit to others as well.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.
