III The Empress and Responsibility and Action Not Reaction

Sunday, July 27th, 2014.  Yesterday was all about putting our condo back together.  Back on Tuesday, July 1st I went to warm up some milk in the microwave to finish my last cup of cafĂ© con leche.  I hit the “Quick Minute” and the pressed “Start” and walked a couple of steps—silence, I look back and the screen on the microwave is blank and pressing various buttons yielded no results.  I check the break.  It was fine.  I checked the receptacle and it was fine.  Uh-oh, the microwave died.

My work hours did not allow us to bring the microwave to any of the authorized Panasonic repair facilities until the weekend.  So all-in-all we’ve been without a microwave for almost a month but we managed.  And it’s not simply a microwave it also acts as our oven hood and exhaust fan as well as light over the stove.

Removing the microwave proved difficult as it was not installed according to the instructions we found online.  In fact, they further secured the microwave to the wall beyond using the support arms by screwing the microwave itself to the wall.  We fought for an hour through blood sweat, and almost tears to get it off the wall as the support mechanism itself was coming off the wall and the microwave was getting hung up on it.

Yesterday, it took us an hour and a half to install it as the support mechanism for the microwave is not enough to keep the microwave stable and in a locked position.  So I measured and measure again then we test fit the microwave with the bottom shelf of the upper cupboards we created to have more space and finally were able to secure front of the microwave to the shelf via the mounting holes on top of the microwave.  Let’s hope it works.  The fan works, the clock works but will the most important feature, the microwave itself work?  This morning is the test.

After installing the microwave, we quickly cleaned ourselves up and went out and splurged on lunch-panini’s and gelato at Tre Galli.  Then we came, cleaned up our mess and then relaxed for the rest of the day.  I puttered around mostly, doing a whole heck of a lot of nothing.  I finally settled down after dinner, read an article or two in one of my Model Railroader magazines and a few blog entries from one of my favourite blogs -- RV-Dreams.  Then it was off to bed.

Thank You Spirit.

Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Cards (from my "Whimsical" Deck) is “The Empress: Express your ideas and take calculated risks.  Getting what you want is your responsibility.  Your passions are of primary importance to you now.  News of a wedding, pregnancy, or children arrives.  When reversed: Are you feeling inferior about your intellect, education or communications skills?  Stop it!  Don’t exaggerate your fears or be reluctant to take action.  Problems with your mother and other intimate women are imminent.”

I have taken responsibility for my life and now I’m not only living life but life is living through me as well.  I’m living with sacred awareness and enjoying every second of each and every day as a truly and uniquely spiritual experience.  Life is about love, peace, and harmony and I’m doing my part to be such an oasis for all those I encounter starting with my home.  As a result I’m seeing my life progress as I want to see it progress because in addition to love and harmony I’ve surrendered, let go and let god and thus I’m experiencing the fullness and success of life.

If we pay attention and open up every atom of our beings to sacred awareness and divine presence we will see opportunities come before us and be guided by our intuition as to how best we can live our lives but the results we desire can only come about if we take action and be responsible for our lives.  We need to be proactive not reactive.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.
