Monday, July 21st, 2014. I did not sleep well at all last night and in fact likely was awake from about 3am until the sound of the alarm. I tossed and turned and worried about the job, my RV situation, and could not shake such thoughts for those three hours. This is part of the healing process as I balance my chakras.
Spirit Is and today’s visiting Tarot Card is “XIII Death: Endings are beginnings. A phase of life is over. Allowing time to mourn. A part of yourself has outlived its usefulness.”
I was expecting “XIII Death” this morning as yesterday morning around 7:00am I saw a pigeon on our windowsill and then around 6:00pm I saw a crow on our balcony railing. The appearance of this card is further strengthened by the young male dear nonchalantly strolling across Government Street as I was turning into the parking lot at work.
“Crow can also teach us to be mindful about judging people automatically. Be mindful of your opinions and actions. You need to walk your talk, to speak your truth and to know your life's mission. Again, trust your intuition and personal integrity, to create your own standards, whether or not they match those of the world around you. Be an individual, think for yourself, don't necessarily follow the crowd!
In the courting process the male crow's voice takes on a singing quality. This lets us see what the basis of sacred law is, unconditional love, the one unfailing principle by which we can test our own principles.
Crow is an omen of change. Crows live in the void and have no sense of time, therefore being able to see past, present and future simultaneously. They unite both the light and the dark, both the inner and the outer. Crow is the totem of the Great Spirit and must be held with utmost respected. They are representations of creation and spiritual strength.
Crows are messengers, telling us about the creation and magic all around us, that is available to us just for the asking. Look for opportunities to bring into being the magic of life. The striking black colour of the crow represents the colour of creation. It is the womb out of which the new comes into existence. Black is the colour of the night, giving birth to the
light of a new day.”
(FROM http://www.spiritanimal.info/crow-spirit-animal/)
“The crow is a spirit animal associated with life mysteries and magic. The power of this bird as totem and spirit guide is provide insight and means of supporting intentions. Sign of luck, it is also associated with the archetype of the trickster; be aware of deceiving appearances. If the crow has chosen you as your spirit or totem animal, it supports you in developing the power of sight, transformation, and connection with life’s magic.”
“Deer, Power Animal, Symbol of Gentleness, Unconditional Love and Kindness.
Deer's medicine includes gentleness in word, thought and touch. The ability to listen, grace and appreciation for the beauty of balance. Understanding of what's necessary for survival, power of gratitude and giving, ability to sacrifice for the higher good, connection to the woodland goddess, alternative paths to a goal.
Maybe the most effective way to summarize the lessons of these beliefs, is to say that only when we move through life in the spirit of love for all beings can we melt the barriers that separate us from others, from other life forms, and from the beautiful mystery which is our own magical and spiritual gift.” (http://www.shamanicjourney.com/article/6025/deer-power-animal-symbol-of-gentleness-unconditional-love-and-kindness)
The pigeon, the crow, and now the deer have all pointed the way for me to go to bring about positive and lasting change into my life. Change that is needed, necessary for me to move forward in the best possible way with my life as the appearance of “XIII Death” makes perfectly clear.
I must approach Tarot with sacred awareness and take to heart the spiritual experience that working with Tarot brings to my life. I must do adopt a more spiritual way of life, a more spiritual way of living and approaching life. My attitude, behavior and outlook on life must be rooted in spirit.
Thank You Spirit.
Blessed Be.
