The 'Youth of Swords' and the Influence of Communication Technology in Our Lives

Friday, August 12, 2016.  Sleep was a bit interrupted last night to the point where I got out of bed and walked around our apartment and at one point staring out the patio door trying to figure out what the lone person was doing.  He was seemingly mesmerized by something at the curb as he was standing on the street and looking down at where the street met the sidewalk and he was slowly shuffling his feet and moving at a snail's pace along that small section of street.

Spirit Is and today's Tarot Energy is the “Youth of Swords: Curiosity.  Research.  Computers, e-mail.  Immature communication.  Spying (or "hacking").”

"Curiosity" keeps me going and each time I awake I want to evolve ever more and learn something new.  I want to get to know Spirit more intimately and am curious as to how life as a Spiritual Guidance Counsellor will unfold once I get fully underway in this new role or perhaps old role that I've worked as for more than a millennia.

"Immature communication" was the name of the game near the tail end of the job shift today.  Even I at one engaged in it as my stress and anger levels shot through the roof with the immature behaviour of a few co-workers.  I avoided the term childish as everyone can behave poorly or immaturely at one time or another so labelling it as childish is not accurate in my view.

"Computers, e-mail" as well as other quick forms of communication enable you and I to communicate with one another and depending on what application we use the communication is instant.  And such technology also allows many people and their chosen careers to very mobile with some even crossing continents and oceans while working.  Besides that, they've really expanded our horizons and opened up a world of infinite possibilities.

Looking out the window not only did the glorious moon catch my attention but so did the colours of pride reflected on the building down the street.  Couldn't grab a good photo of the moon with my phone but thought this was a decent photo of those colours of pride on display here in New Westminster.
