'Five of Bows: Empowerment', the 'King of Arrows: Kingfisher' and Being Under the Weather

Saturday, July 25, 2015.  That's interesting, I almost typed '2017' as the year as this is what came into my mind as I was typing today's date.  '2017' and not only '2017' but 'July 25, 2017'.  I have to leave a note in my wallet or in a prominent location to remind myself that this date may have some importance to me as I possibly felt back here on July 25, 2015.

Yesterday was busy work day at the job.  I was out of the office for most of the day.  I left downtown Vancouver around 4:00pm and slogged along with commuters on their way from work.  I snaked my way back to the office where I arrived around 4:30pm.  As the day at the job came to a close I tried to make my way back home as quickly as I could as we were heading downtown to have dinner with friends and meeting some new ones.

Dinner was good as always and the conversation as lively as ever.  We mixed conversation and food very well and sauntered back home well after 11:00pm, crawling into bed some time past midnight.

Spirit Is and yesterday's visiting Tarot is the "Five of Bows, Empowerment: The mastery of any skill or discipline enables empowerment for clear and decisive mental processes, and the arrows of one's desire and wishes can be loosed at destiny with positive effect.  The time of self-empowerment by seizing the initiative is here.  By channeling primal, fertile and protective energies, the individual  can evolve a grounded and assertive mind-set and utilize this for effective growth and change.  This is true not only for the individual but also for society.  It is the meaning of achieving one's destiny as a matter of choice, not chance.  The act of observing the particle changes the particle and this raw, dynamic life force can be focused and deployed to influence situations in the practical world.  Empowerment enables the individual to overcome negative self-images or destructive emotional addictions and increases confidence by overcoming stigma or social handicaps.  Empowerment is the key to the attainment of one's destiny and the feeling of spiritual fulfilment through a proactive and positive attitude to life."

Key phrases for me are: "By channeling primal, fertile and protective energies, the individual  can evolve a grounded and assertive mind-set and utilize this for effective growth and change" and "Empowerment enables the individual to overcome negative self-images or destructive emotional addictions and increases confidence by overcoming stigma or social handicaps.  Empowerment is the key to the attainment of one's destiny and the feeling of spiritual fulfilment through a proactive and positive attitude to life."

We have to take back control of our lives and make something of them with this reclaimed and renewed power or self-empowerment as referred to herein the "Five of Bows, Empowerment".  We reach our destiny by " choice, not chance" and we need to respect and remember this rather than sit on the sidelines and hope things will change or that our destiny will come to this through some miracle.  Don't me wrong miracles do happen but what makes them miracles is that they are rare not routine.

Today's visiting Tarot is the "King of Arrows, Kingfisher: You may need to exercise judgement, power, force of will.  The king is impartial and helps you see clearly what you no longer need to hold onto.  Use your strength to cut yourself free of what weighs you down.  Intelligence, Strength, Watchfulness, Counselling, The ability to judge true from false."

Today's an off day for me as I awoke feeling quite under the weather and as the morning progressed I fell into the category of full on being sick.  Ooo...and I was supposed to pick up the van today.  As you can imagine I was not very excited about this endeavor however I sucked it up and hitched a ride out toward Chilliwack with my kind and generous brother who agreed to drive us out there.  We made a pit stop at a rest are along the Chilliwack/Abbottsford border and I was feeling beyond crappy and just could not imagine sitting for a couple of hours to sign paperwork and learn the inner workings of a camper van.  So I along with the suggestion decided to call and cancel my appointment.

Not long after we left the rest area I needed a quick and immediate stop of the car and as the car came to a stop I leapt out of the car and gave into my sickness one more time.  As is the case most of the time I felt much better but still crappy.  Upon arriving home I could hardly walk as is also the case when I'm as sick as I have been today...weak, tired and almost having to crawl on the floor because I hardly have the energy to stand.

And here we are four or five hours later and I'm out of bed, feeling quite a lot better and trying to enjoy the remainder of this day.  And my excitement about my significant purchase is back.  I can hardly wait until next Saturday.  I really look forward to our first camping trip in the "Pleasure Way".

So how does all this relate to the "King of Arrows, Kingfisher"?  Or does it?  In a way, yes, it does.  How so?  Doubt, self-doubt, and plenty of second guessing if such a significant purchase is the right one to be making at this time.  The other sleepless night I thought I resolved this by accepting the purchase as being the right one and quickly falling asleep after this thought.  But doubt crept in again yesterday and as I awoke this morning.  But has since disappeared as I'm feeling better.

Self-doubt is a significant and heavy weight to be carrying on our shoulders and quickly weigh us down sinking into a pit of negativity and misery.  I cannot allow this to happen and neither can you.  I'm standing up for myself and my decision and I'm accountable and responsible for all that happens as a result.

Thank You Spirit.

Blessed Be.
